   Chester's Revenge
It has been quite a story, Chester and me. It started as a hum drum affair, then began to get quite strange. After I loaded the Wolfwood pic on fan art, there was terrible and strange loud noises coming from Chester, as if it really was about to bite. There's still data on the hard drive-- a crash now and POOF. I told myself I was going to look at a new machine, and get ideas. The loud sounds made my spikes pop out at crazy angles--- next thing I knew, this large and incredibly heavy box was in the car.

But Chester did not give up without a fight. The Nameless Machine was much heavier than I thought, when I got it out of the box, into the office, several boxes of Zip drives for Chester slid off the desk, and on my bare toes! Hooked up the new machine and POP the monitor died (Ok, now you know-- Mamma is cheap!) Back to the electronics shop, home with a new monitor. Removing the old one from the hutch, the cord caught the shelf, which flew out and hit Mamma in the shin. With a yowl, I was knocked off my feet and fell down luckilly in a chair. The shelf started a chain reaction so the office looks like the ending of "an incident" involving Vash --- or as Merryl would say, an adventure in risk management gone bad. The office has always been cluttered, now it's a disaster! Medic-- Mamma needs ice, and lots of it.

However, when all is said and done, I can actually type a post in under an Hour! (THATS WHAT LIFE WITH CHESTER WAS LIKE!). Actually I felt very bad in retiring the maching. I will keep it, and hope to learn a lot more about hardware with it, after the data is downloaded. Well, how about a hand for a machine that has inspired some good jokes, and a little art?

The big dilemma is: What do I call the new computer, which sits quietly and does its job? HELP!!! Please leave suggestions for me --Kamiya Usagi had provided Chester's name. Should that name be used? I appreciate any advice.

Well, as I limp off to bed, I wish to send warm thoughts and gratitude to all my friends. The world is a rough place, no doubt , but friends are a warm and snug harbor from the storms.
