Steal That Gift
Today was the department Christmas party. Our department is small, so we have the party at work during lunch. Our annual tradition is to buy a small gift, wrap it up, and place it on the table. Before lunch , everyone gets a number. After lunch , we take a present out of the grab bag and unwrap it. If you like what someone else got, you can "steal" the present for yourself, and the person you stole it from picks one from the grab bag. I brought a mechanical parrot that swings around his perch, flaps his wings and sings. But there is a second button where the bird repeats back the previous 30 seconds of sound. People laughed when it sang, but when the person who got it found the second button, most people were in hysterics! I got one for my 2 teammates earlier. I am happy to say the parrot was one of the gifts that got "stolen" (the other 2 were gift certificates for See's Candy and Cold Stone Creamery Ice cream)

A friend of mind makes silver jewerly and I bought 2 ankle bracelets with little temple bells. I love it! I wear 2 ankle bracelets on each leg-- temple bells and hearts on the other side.

Regarding Adult Swim, I guess most folks are not fans of Aqua Teen Hunger Force--- I wish they would add another anime too! Cartoon Network is getting some competition! The on demand Anime Network is in several states, and free anime is also offered! Yay-- I saw Chrono Crusade-- quite kawaii, and several episodes of Saiyuki! I bought a portable DVD players for those episodes of night patrol where I am really tired and want my anime! (Mamma is sometimes worse than Vash at foot stomping and whining--- and I hate Night Patrol! Oh, well, there are probably worse things than being on standby-- but not many!)
Vash (popping his head out of bottom filing cabinet draw) Is it safe to come out?

Kuroneko (pops out of second filing draw) No! The night has just begun, and Mamma's been called twice!

Vash: I gotta get to a safe house (takes off running to the gas station because there are a few hours remaining in free donut Monday)

Well, we can all stand proud and tall to be among the ranks of the rabid otaku! My spikes are beginning to droop, and so I am so I will try to lay down a bit. Pray the phone doesn't ring!

we all will meet at the Dreamland Ball, where we can boogie til dawn. Love and peace, beloved friends!
