Be Careflul What You Wish For...
I had been struggling in vain for about 10 years to get my hours increased above 29 hours per week. I was originally full time, but hurt my back, and later my hand. Well, when I had given up, and began to dwell in the darker lands, feeling I could never prove myself no matter what, I was told that my hours would be increased to 33h/wk. I felt I finally won... then it was a bit scary because I have been part time so long. I began to really doubt I could pull this off...then I found a little souvenir from Florida I found at a teashop. It was a tile, inscribed with "Beyond fear, you will always find freedom"/ I tried to think that I will give it a shot, and I have the fear that the orthopedic problems will interfere, but I think I have learned to live with them, so this may be a bit uncomfortable, but I have to try. Anxiety is with me too often, and I just have to stare it in the face and push through. Being part time has been a struggle, because no one asked me about that... I have learned a lot from all of you here at myO... so I keep my camera with me as art has helped so much, and a pencil for a little doodle , as well as the everpresent knitting needles. Working on blanket #4. The changes will start in May (more oral surgeries to go... I think 3 more appointments)
