   Why do things break!
Well, I guess the boredom cycle is officially ending. Brought on later that night by freaky phones--- the land line would ring-- no one was there, then when I tried to call out-- busy singles, when I answered a call, sounded like the caller was speaking Martian. Just when enough steam came out the ears, I remembered that cordless phones have these sneaky little batteries that like to die dramatically (like an opera!), and that seems to be what happened. This morning the handset would not charge. It was hard to open the handset to get the battery, but I did without braking it. Today's little drama.

Heya, CosmicSailor! I always loved going to the cookware shop with a good friend, and we used to get these cool little gadgets that were so helpful. A ring for baking an egg into things! I had a friend who used to do that for a special Easter bread! That was so neat. Yeah-- in the store that I found the "lazy Susan" in , the label on the item called it a "turntable"--- years ago, that was what they called the thing that records were played on. It only takes a short bit of time to feel like an old fogey! Things change so much! How many people remember buying vinyl records (no cheating-- NOT for scratch DJ ing), and remember "component stereos" being the best in sound systems?--- Well, it wasn't THAT long ago! LOL

It you can recall using those item, here's one to jog your memory:

Actually, I found this at a farm in IL at Ryerson's Conservation area. They had some cows, chickens, and lovely nature trails. Are you putting out a Jack O Lantern or plain pumpkin around Halloween time? I haven't decided yet---

May your day be as fresh and crisp as an autumn morning...You are wonderful friends!
