   Dr. Ingrid Ibble-Payne, DDS

I went to see a dentist today, and I've never been in so much pain just to have my teeth cleaned. I swear, she (the Dentist) put all of her body weight into scrubbing my gums.

On a plus side, she told me I have really nice teeth. No cavities at all. Pretty good for someone who hasn't seen a dentist in over 10 years, if I do say so myself.

I swung by Borders today, and picked up Dwele's CD. You might remember Dwele as the guy who sang the chorus to "Tainted" by Slum Village. He also has a new solo single out called "Find A Way." Anyway, I got his CD and it's alright. Nothing too special, but it should be easier to sing along to in the car than Stevie Wonder. Oy, that Stevie and his singing range.

I'm in the middle of writing a parody to "Star Wars: Attack of the Clones" but I can't remember how the movie went. I tried searching for a summary of it online, but all I find are full scripts. If anybody out there can give me a short scene-by-scene breakdown (nothing too long. Just tell me the order stuff happened in the movie) I'd greatly appreciate it.

Song of the Moment: "When I Ripped My Pants"

[Begin Spongebob Song]
I thought that I had everybody by my side
But I went and blew it all sky high
And now she wont even spare a passing glance
All just because I ripped my pants

When big Larry came around just to put him down
Spongebob turned into a clown
And no girl ever wants to dance
With a fool who went and ripped his pants
I know I shouldn't mumble and I shouldn't curse
But the pain feels so much worse
But winding up with no one is a lot less fun
Than a burn from the sun
Or sand in your buns

Now I learned a lesson I won't soon forget
Listen and you won't regret
Be true to yourself, dont miss your chance
And you won't be like the fool who ripped
his pants
[/end song]

Yeah, so I was being thrown around in Judo class today, when I asked my sparring partner to stop for a second.

"I think I might be giving the people behind me a peep show"

I reached around to feel the backside of my pants, which had been ripped so badly that not only could you see London, France, and my underpants, but you could also catch Tokyo, NY, and a bit of my thigh.

"Sensei!! I think I ripped my pants again!"

So as I shamefully shuffled sideways out of the wrestling room/dojo, I had realized that this was in fact the second pair of gi pants that I had ripped to shreds in the past month.

After I went to the locker room and changed (I got out of class early), I walked around school for the rest of the day feeling as if my jeans were ripped. I checked. Several times. They were still in one piece.

Ouch. My pride.

   Have you Seen My Hat?

I CANNOT find my new favorite hat. It just disappeared one day. I think somebody broke into the house and stole it. My grandparents say I'm crazy, because a thief would never break into a house and steal only a hat. They fail to realize that this was a very nice hat.

It was the one article of clothing I had that made me feel pretty. :(

Saturday last week, I had turned in a resume to work at a Cingular (mobile phone service) store in the mall. Tuesday, I got an interview. They were supposed to call me this weekend to tell me if I got the job or not. Haven't heard a word from them. I really need this job, too. I only get $60 allowance every 2 or 3 weeks, and the ever-rising gasoline prices in the state of California ain't helping me. I only get enough money to pay for gas. I can't even afford that Iced Tea/Lemonade thingy at Starbucks I've been meaning to try.

On a completely different note, does anybody know how to customize this thing? I've seen a lot of myOtaku Life posts by other members, and they have these background images and stuff in their posts, and I don't know how to do that.

Of course, with my luck, it's probably something simple like an HTML table tag.

What do you mean I can't take my sweater off? I'M HOT!

First off, apologies to Drew for forgetting to tell you happy birthday last weekend. I wasn't home, and I didn't get the chance to log on and send you an IM/PM/Email or anything like that. You were the only person who was actually available on my birthday in June. I'm just sad that you didn't have anything planned this year for your own birthday.

And now for rants about my personal life. Specifically, a story I'm working on...

I'd say it was about a year ago when I thought to myself "Why don't I make one of those typical superhero stories? Teen gets powers, gets girlfriend, manages to hide his secret life as a crime-fighter from the ones whom he love the most. It'll be great!"
Eh. A few months later, it turned into an entirely different story, involving the main character being an idealized version of me, all of his friends being in on his secret, and his female love interest turning out to be gay (ah, heartbreak).

Since then, I've been trying to find a way to make this thing. So far, I've jotted summaries to the first 3 story arcs (working on the 4th), but I have no idea how I should present it online. Should I make a prose-style web-novel? Script-style dialogue with all action in parentheses? Learn Flash and animate it? Badly draw a webcomic myself? Find somebody else willing to commit to drawing a webcomic on a weekly basis?

This is my most kick-ass idea for a series yet. And I have no idea what form to put it in. It's action, comedy, and almost satirical of the whole "teen becomes superhero" genre. I've made up way too many characters and contrived sub-plots for this thing. I'll never be able to top this idea. Arg!

Other than that, my life's been going just fine. I'm trying to get a job right now, so pray for me to whatever god, goddess, or patheon of higher beings you believe in.

   Get Floetic!

The following is an endorsement of the album Floetic by the group Floetry. I have in no way been paid-off by Floetry to endorse or in any way promote this CD.

$$$ Now show me the money! $$$

Seriously, if you're into spoken-word poetry, hip-hop, and R&B, then you'll like Floetry's album Floetic. Their lyrics are original, deep but not too deep. The music is all good. It's a real feel-good album. It's a real change of pace for the whole hip-hop/R&B scene. Something different, but not Nelly Furtado different.

You can find me at home... Chatting with a Powerpuff Girl!

The guy who got my brother on the VIP list at the club has flaked. Thus, I'll be staying at home for another Saturday night. Pity me.

Here's something you should all hear. Tonight (Saturday, August 30), AnimationHQ.net is hosting an online chat session with voice actress Cathy Cavadini!

Who is Cathy Cavadini?
You might know her as the voices of Blossom from The Powerpuff Girls, Fievel's sister Tanya in An American Tale: Fievel Goes West, and several other roles from Lilo & Stitch, Final Fantasy X, Dinosaur, Justice League, and Duckman!

The chat will be held at 7pm Eastern (New York/Florida time) in our chat room at DejaToons...

You can find me in da club... Sober.

Well, my older brother turned 21 earlier this week. To celebrate, he's going clubbing this Saturday. A friend of his has him on the VIP list at The Factory, and he gets to bring along a few friends.

I don't know why he's bringing me (probably a "bring a geek" thing), but I'm gonna get my freak on this weekend!

Of course, I'll be getting my freak on in a very "below drinking age" way, but whatever. I've never been to a club before, and this should be fun.

   Parody Fun: "Bloggin' "

[verse 1]
Don't mean to sound full of myself or odd
But you ain't lookin' at no other blogs
'Cause you love me.
So you think you're gonna stay.
Find yourself readin' 'bout my day.
Maybe 'cause you love me.

[hook]
So then you tried
Sending me instant messages, but they got to be too much.
If I'm not online
Send me an email or private message and such and such.

[chorus]
I know that I'm carrying on
But you just keep reading along
'Cause I'm just bloggin' (it's just me rambling)
And if you want in on
This trend with the web logs
You should start bloggin' (it's just you rambling)

[verse 2]
Tryin' to be the best writer you should be
Still you give my blog a peak
And I love it.
Then you try to copy my blogging style
Knowing that your day might take a while
But that's why you wrote it.

[hook]
So then you tried
Sending me instant messages, but they got to be too much.
If I'm not online
Send me an email or private message and such and such.

[chorus]
I know that I'm carrying on
But you just keep reading along
'Cause I'm just bloggin' (it's just me rambling)
And if you want in on
This trend with the web logs
You should start bloggin' (it's just you rambling)

HO!

[rap]
Was the only thing on the internet I wasn't working on, except for buying stock.
Like it was just a quick trend that will have come and gone.
But, uh, truth be told, I'm inot bloggin' now. It's old.
I've been online too long to just now get a blog
Acting like they're really boring
Well, they are.
Acting like our lives aren't boring.
Well, they are.
Well at least they're still fun, they are.

[chorus]
I know that I'm carrying on
But you just keep reading along
'Cause I'm just bloggin' (it's just me rambling)
And if you want in on
This trend with the web logs
You should start bloggin' (it's just you rambling)

HO!

   Judo Roll!!

Ouch. Ouch. Ouch. Ouch.

Judo class hurts.

A lot.

I had my second day of Judo class today. We haven't started throwing each other yet. I'm just horribly out of shape, and excercise leaves me sore. Oh, and we're practicing our falling techniques. That hurts a little, too.

When I started Fall semester last week, I wondered why I even dropped my math class last spring. I rememberd today, somewhere between my 77 naps in the first half of class. I ran into one of the acting teachers on my way to math class, and they wanted me to add into the Children's Theatre class. Probably remembered me from the Beginners class. Anyway, I couldn't add in because the class took place the same time as my math class. I would've dropped math, if I weren't taking it for the second time.

Hmm... not much to talk about today. Oh well.

Much Love

   Well, well, well...

You know, I told myself a long time ago that I would never get one of those fangled Web Journals/Weblogs/Blogs. I have a website to rant on, you know.

And here I am, writing my first blog on MyOtaku.

What to rant about... what to rant about...

Well, I just started my Fall semester of school. I love college for the scheduling freedom, but the class length is mind-numbing. Not to mention my Summer semester only ended a little over a week ago.

Say, this blog stuff is easy. I should've gotten one years ago! I'll bore you all with rants about my personal life later.

Much Love,
MW
