Last Night of December

I like to give this special moment to my friends and family that always been there, thank you.

Introduction: I am Christopher Williams Shoemaker, I am an infamous artist, and writer of this small town called, Casa Grande, located in Arizona.

Prologue

6-13-06

Hello diary,
I had a harsh day at work today, and to top it off two strange men; with suits, briefcases, came in and asked for me. I told Amy to tell them that I wasn’t here; that I had gone running errands for manager, but what puzzles me that, they decided to stick around like I had done something wrong, I don’t recall doing anything; anyways they sat in the café shop for two hours waiting, one looked serious with small glasses, sitting formal. He could really hurt someone because how built he was. The other was opposite, instead of long shinny hair, he was bold, and always checked his watch, what’s with this guy?

He wasn’t even as tall as me, and I am short for a girl, he looked like four foot nine, or four foot eight. A very wild guy, but both of them sat there waiting. Man just peeking through the chief’s door to the tables was annoying me. I went into the back and opened the door to sound like I was just getting back; then I wrinkled my clothes and yelled out, “Man! That was long!”

Right on quoi Amy yelled back, “Took you long enough where you go, the Ice Lands or what!” Walking through the door I started to approach the men, but tripped on the stool near the counter. As I was falling the built man rushed over and caught me before I hit the ground.

I looked up and saw his eyes, they were so beautiful, a nice mixture of: green, blue, and brow, but when did he take off the glasses? All went black and when I came to the bold one was helping me up. It was so embarrassing, I fell, but he didn’t safe me, instead the I got ugly short guy to pick me up, I felt him touching my butt, and my breasts! What a pervert! Anyways they asked me to have a seat because it was going to be long, and sad.

The built man began by introducing himself and his partner, “hello I am…um Beethoven, and this is my partner Jefferson.” Jefferson said hi and Beethoven continued, “we are here from the interna…err…I mean we are here to tell you about you uncle’s death, and that you have passion of his house, although it is true, ummm you’re actually being watch very carefully and that you have to go to the house, will you go?” He whispered softly, his voice had a weird accent kidda like he only slurred his words sometimes, but then he went on to a formal talk. He must speak other languages, or something.

So sexy, but anyways I looked at both of them uneasily and then shook my head no. to think I would go to my uncle’s place, I bet it is a pigsties, right well good night diary, Meme is out.
Meme finished writing in her dairy and closed it. She tucked it under some novels, to blend it in, so if anyone did go through her room, for her dairy they would never look in there.

“Man, what today was like, does it get anymore weird,” Meme said as she got up out of her rolling chair, and walked to the bathroom. “Let ther’ be light!” she yelled as she flicked on the switch. A normal size bathroom with a very large mirror above a small white sink.

She loves gazing in the mirror admiring her long silky desert brown hair. She combs her hair gazing into the mirror sometimes her gaze is so strong that she stops combing, but just looks at her think body, and stares into her light brown eyes. Her shinny rose lips and her small button nose, who couldn’t love her. She stares into the mirror and it blurs. She feels water tickling down her cheeks; she quickly wipes the others before they fall.

“I am sach a beautiful girl, why do I not have a boyfriend, or a husband, I am a young girl waiting for the Romeo to sweep me off my feet,” Meme moaned and leaned back into the door. Falling slowly to her butt, more water trickles down her cheeks. She brought her knees to her chest, and wrapped her arms around them, burred her head into her legs.

She cried on the floor for a while before finally getting up and stumbling to her dresser. She rested her hand on the top knob, and then gripped it; pulled out the drawer slowly.

Looked through the clothes ‘til she finally found her night gown. After slipping out of her clothes, she pulled the nightgown up and tightens it around her waist. She crawled into bed pulling the bed sheets over her legs, and up to her chest. She closed her eyes and slipped away into the dark night. She had been exhausted from the days work, and then what awaits her tomorrow.

“Don’t make us use force, Meme,” Beethoven said as Meme was scooting out of the seat.

“Whatever…,” Meme muttered and slowly walked to the back room….

Chapter One

Glass shatters and Meme jumps up snapping her head left and right, wondering what just happened. Voices was heard, although muffled by the walls still could be heard; getting louder a voice barked orders, “Red 1 go down the hall and Red 2 take the rooms!” Meme eyebrows raise and then she scoots back to the head of the bed.

She lifted the covers over her head, trying to cover her cries, her tears rolled off her cheeks. Heavy footsteps sounded in front of her door, she was scared and squeaked. Meme peeks over the covers that had covered her head, and she stared at the door.

She hoped they wouldn’t open the door, but moments later a voice yelled, “She’s in here!” the bedroom door flew off the hinges as two uniform personals kicked in the door.

Both well built and fully armed, as soon as the door got kicked in Meme screamed hoping the neighbors heard her cries. Meme pulls the covers over her head and tries to tuck into the bed, but the sheets were pulled off flying across the room.

“Put your hands behind your back!” one yelled. Meme replied with a scream and tried to jump off the bed. She didn’t land on her feet, but fell to the floor in one entire motion, the uniformed men looked at her and the closest one bent down and tried to grab her.

Meme let out a loud scream and kicked the man in the head knocking his helmet off. The man started to get mad, but calmed himself and tried to grab her once again. Meme began to slap at his hands as they near her body, and then she finally kicked him in the face, the man fell back to the floor.

Blood dripped from his nose and mouth; he had enough and wiped his face. The man signaled his partner to shoot her. Meme got up and made a break for the door, but as soon as she came inches to the door she drop and a bam echoed the room.

She reached to the back of her neck and pulled out a dart, it was empty. Her vision blurred and she started to mumble things.

The sounds in the room faded and the men walked over to her. “Why didn’t she take the easy way…,” the man without a helmet said, signing soon after, he picked her up. “She is pretty heavy for her size,” the man grunted as he lifted her. They walked out of the house and stepped into a black SUV.

“Uh…where...where am I?” Meme muttered as her eyes opened. Her vision was still bad, everything was blurry and there were two black objects in front of her. Her vision cleared and she saw, two men that abducted her.

“It’s okay stay calm maim’,” the male to her right said. He signaled her to keep down and quiet.

“What! Are you mad, the hell I am going to stay calm!” Meme yelled and started to swing at the men.

“Maim’! Madam! Stop!” the male on her right yelled. He then reached in the back of the vehicle and grabbed a stun gun. He aimed it at her and then shot her with it, her vision faded and she went out, the left one hit her on the neck to make sure she is out for a while.

“Is she okay? Yeah, well take her to the conference room once she wakes, and changes,” The dark figure talking on the phone in a dark room, hung up the phone, and turned the chair. “This will be gud if she goes to the castle to capture the bloody thing that lives in there,” the dark figure said, and it’s evil laugh echoed the room.

Chapter Two

“Uh…damn it! Now where thee hell am I?” Meme said. She got up from the white bed she was placed on. She looked around and noticed that everything is, “White! Everything is freaking white!” she looked back at the bed, “Oh that makes a big difference now, a grey ‘Blanket’.” She looked around and saw the door, the door was plain. It suck out like a sore thumb, the door was obviously weak. Meme walked back to the bed and began to charge, but was stopped by the opening door.

“Ready?” the women asked as she peeked her head in.

“Uh? Oh hell no!” Meme replied, she was going to yell at the women but was cut short.

“Well it is tha easy way or tha hard, which you choose?” the women promptly said, and adjusted her blouse. She looked at Meme blankly, and then narrowed her eyes.

“Okay, thee easy way,” Meme said and begin to walk to the door.

“Hold on I need to get your clothes changed,” the women said and then left the room, the door closed slowly.

“Wait!.... What’s wrong with these clothes?” Meme said, and then looked down. “Oh I am still in my PJ’s…, I must be out of it,” Meme muttered, and the women returned to the room with some new clothes.

“Here you go, uh, umm scarf, long selves shirt, ah sweater, thick pants, snow boots, thick socks, and fresh set of under wear, it all your size,” the women said, and smiled with her eyes closed.

“Um, do I have to wear this kind of underwear, I don’t even think this is underwear,” Meme said as she held them up looking through them, stretching them out, and then letting them return to normal size.

“Oh they are trust me I have several pairs at home, and some are just strings,” the women said smiling, eyes still closed, and then she opened her eyes.

“Um,…Are you going to leave so I can, dress…,” Meme said turning away.

“Nope, it is against the rule’s, it would be me or Jason, I highly doubt you want Jason, watching you change,” the women said with a smirk.

“Umm,… No I would rather you be here,” Meme replied. She signed and began to undress slowly revealing her shoulder first. The women watched closely and then licked her lips.

A dark figure in the dark moved to the ringing phone, and picked it up, “Hello? Yes… oh okay, so she is getting ready as we speak? I can’t wait to meet her… yeah… no I will just tell her where she maybe going if she’ll cooperate…hummm, yeah bye.” The phone clicked and the dark figure got up and walked out of the room.

“How do I look?” Meme asked the women, Meme started to twirl around.

“Very…fine, you look great,” the women said checking Meme out.

“Cool, well where are we going?” Meme asked and began to walk up to the women.

“Uh, oh I can’t give that information,” the women said as she snapped out of a daze.

“Why thee hell not!,” Meme yelled frustrated.

“Rules,” the women said and turned around. She opened the door and waited for meme to walk out. After a few moments Meme stepped out and lead the way down the long white hallway.

“Whats wit you people and white?” Meme spoke aloud. The women step up next to her and walked next to Meme. Meme looked over to the women.

“White is a pleasing color, it is lite and can only bring happy thoughts,” the women said.

“Real pleasant…,” Meme said, and rolled her eyes. The women said nothing, but walked on. Is she a robot or something, what if someone was watching through her eyes at me, oh my god! No they can’t be…, or can there. She keep thinking about the women and wondering what she was, why she was here, and then they came to a door.

“OPEN!” the women yelled, it echoed down the hall, but the door opened as she said. Another person on the other side was waiting there. He was dressed in black, the walls were black, it was opposite from this side. “I have taken you far enough, now he’ll take you to the master,” the women broadly spoke

“Right?” Meme said lifting one eye brawl. The women again didn’t say anything, but eye balled Meme. Meme said no more, but walked through. The climate changed and it became colder, and the air was stile.

“Welcome My Lady,” the male said, and tried to grab her hand, but she tightens them closer to her chest and walked ahead. “Just trying to be nice,” he said under his breath. Meme looked down staring at her feet.

“Do you know where you are?” the man asked catching up to her. Meme feet stopped moving, and she turned around.

“No! Can you tell me?’ Meme replied excited.

“No… I don’t even know. That is why I asked you,” the man said and signed.

“Damn it,” Meme mutter and continued walling down the black hallway. The man stop walking and Meme stop, and then turned around, “what’s the hold up?”

“We are here. This way please,” the man said and pushed on the wall.

“What the hell, that is a solid wall!” Meme yelled.

“Watch…,” The man said. Some cracks appeared and then he pushed it open, and signal Meme in. He stayed out and closed the door behind her, there was a loud pushing of air and a guest of wind blew from behind Meme. The room was dark and a voice sounded behind a seat, “Have a seat will you?” The figure turned around in the chair, and showed a face of an elderly woman. She smiled, and her ocean blue eyes at Meme.

“Why am I here?” Meme asked.

“Why? Never mind more important things to talk about,” the women said and pulled out a folder.

“What! Why am I...,” she was cut short; a man muffled her mouth, and then pointed to the older women.

“You should listen to me, so lets get started. Okay we need you to enter your uncle’s castle and find out what murder him; clear, okay, bye!” the woman said, then waved to the man to take her away. The man hit Meme in the neck, her vision faded black.

“Ah! Uh…,” Meme cried out then, her body relaxed. The man picked her up and walked off. The black door opened, and a beam of light slipped into the room; flooded out the view of the man, and Meme.

Chapter Three

Meme opened her eyes slowly, her vision was still off, and her body was stiff. It was very cold, and she on the dirty floor; she rose up and dusted herself off, but her vision was still blurry. After a few minutes her eyes cleared and she saw dead trees, the grass is dead and there was garden on the side of a huge building in front of her.

It is a castle the garden was wilted. The crows on the dead trees cawed and stared Meme down as she walked up to the stone passageway. Lightening scattered the sky, and lit up the castles walls. She jumps to the sound of thunder and looks around, her breath turns to ice, and she held her arms tight to her chest.

Meme stumbles to the stone passageway to the castle, and once she found her footing, lightening lights up the stones. She begins to walk down the old stones that lay in a solid road to the castle. Meme stumbles a little, but catches her footing before she falls to the floor. She looked up to the castle and her eye’s glare, and water flows down her cheeks.

“What’s this feelings I have?” Meme asked herself under her breath. The wind began to howl and she neared the castle. She covers her face from the icy cold wind that brushes against her face. She stumbles up the stone stairs to the finishing feet to the castle, when an owl screeches, making Meme fall to the floor.

“Ah!” Meme screeched and covered her face, and then moments later she looks up to see it was just an owl. “That almost gave me a heart attack,” Meme said as she stood up, and dusted herself off. She begins walking slowly, taking baby steps, to the castle. Her arms tightly clutched to her chest, and her eyes bouncing back and forth looking for creature’s, or other things.

She takes the last step to the door, ready to knock, but the door open, creaking and slowly opening. The lobby was getting revealed. It was very large, but very dark. There were no light switches but lightening lit up the room every so often.

There was cobwebs everywhere, scattering across the stairs and the ceiling. The spiders stringed its way down to the visitor of the castle, then crawled back up to it’s webs. The rooms’ stones were different colors, and sizes. The wind blew in through the open windows, and the lamps that were hanging swayed at the blowing wind.

The walls are cracked and water dripped in from the cracks, the windows were always open so the ground was very wet, after a few minutes of the roaring of the storm. She walked closer to the far corner cautiously wondering what was in the corner, once she made it to the corner she found a lamp still useable sitting in the corner.

Meme reached into her pocket and pulled out a Zippo lighter. A scuffling sound, sounded behind her, she got startled, and dropped her lighter and fell into the lamp knocking it over. The lamp colliding with the floor echoed the room, and her grunt echoed the room after the lamp. She jumped away from the lamp and when lighting lit up the room again she found her lighter and she saw it was only the lamp she touched.

She bent over and picked up the lighter from the floor, reaching for the lantern the lightening lit up the room again and there was a red spider staring at her, “Ahhhhh! Aha-ahhh!” Meme screamed jumping back, then she stomped her feet. “I hate spiders ugh!” Meme muttered. She moved back a little, “What thee hell is this place, I want to go Hooo-ah-ommme!” Meme yelled.

She walked back to the lamp and kneeled down next to it, she picked it up. She opens the lid to her Zippo, and started to roll her thumb on the flint, to lit the flame. It didn’t work the first time, she tried some more. Meme bent over and started to tipping it on the floor. After that she held it up and whisper into it, “Please work, c’mon, pleaseeee.” She then rolled her thumb, and it still didn’t work.

She got frustrated and threw her Zippo across the room, “I don’t even know why I carry that stupid thing!” she complained a little more and frowned. She turned around back the lamp, and looked at the wall to see there were old fashion lighters there; the cobwebs covered them, but she just brushed it aside, picked up a lighter and rolled her thumb on the flint, it worked. Meme pressed it towards the candle that was in it.

The flame flicker as the wind blew by, and she started to prey and say, “no, no, no, nooo.” The wind stopped blowing, and she blew her breath out, and the lighter went out, but the candle only flickered. The half the room lit up and across the way was a set of armor suits.

There were medieval weapons placed on them, and the suits look used, as cobwebs draped from them. They were all dusty, but there were tunnels near them. There were three tunnels. She walked up to the middle tunnel, looked at it and walked into it.

She creped in the partially lit hallway, exploring every turn it had. After a few hours she finally arrived to a dead end, and only a wooden door stood there. She slowly approached the door, and placed a hand on the circle handle.

“Ah! It is cold as ice!” she screamed removing her hand and rubbing it. She placed her hand back on and tried to pull the door open, but it didn’t move. She got frustrated with the door, “Ah! Stupid ass door!” Meme then jerk the door and it sung open, fog poured out along with a breeze of cold air.

When Meme pulled on the door, she flew back knocking her head on the cold stone floor. A little bit of blood trickle out of the back of her head. Meme eyes slowly closed and everything went black.

Chapter Four

When her eyes open, she saw white curtains draped over some steel poles that almost reach the chandelier.

She was lying on cushions and a quilt was place over her. The bed intact was all pink with flowers. She threw the sheets off her, and jumped off the bed. The sheets fell to the floor, and she looked around to see if anyone was around. The room was large, and lit up by lamps that was placed around the room, only two corners where pitch dark.

Meme felts less weight on her body, and she looked down to see that she wasn’t wearing the clothes that she had before. “What thee hell? How did I get here, how did this get on me?” Meme muttered. She walked to the bed and felt it, “Am I dreaming all this?” She reached over and pinched herself, “Ah! That hurts.”

“Well of course silly, by the way, May I help you, my lady,” a man’s voice sounded from a dark corner. He stepped away from the corner and revealed his face to her.

“What thee hell! Did you just step out of the corner; your watching me the entire time didn’t you?” Meme screamed, her eyes narrow, and her eyebrows narrow together.

“It is not what you think. I am just of service that is all,” the man said with his eyes closed, and then he stepped forward. Meme walked up to one of the lanterns in the corner closest to him.

“Then what is it then?” Meme asked, raising an eyebrow.

“Actually madam, I found you on the ground near my living quarters, so since I did find you knocked out on the floor tha least I could do was take you to my young master’s mistress’s living quarters, he had built for her livings. It was sad she died that night she slept in it…,” the man was saying until Meme cut him off.

“You put me in that bed! When someone died in it! What in gods name, you trying to kill me or something?” Meme started to scream louder, and louder. The man step forward and put his hand over her month.

“Sh! My lady, you will wake ‘it’. Keep it down, unless you want to dead as well. See the lady got killed in the bed, because she screamed in her sleep. The creature hates loud noises,” the man said, and then moved his hand.

“She coughed and then whispered, “Your hand tastes really bad, and…and man wash your hands!” she then started to spit to the floor to get the taste out. She closed her hers and then once she was done, she looked up. He was gone, Meme looked around to see where he went but he was gone.

An orange light mixed with yellow shinned into the room through an open window next to the bedrooms door. Meme walked over to it and looked out the window. “Oh my god…this is so…beautiful,” Meme said with her mouth open, and her body fell into the window. Trees covered the distant mountains; wooden houses were not too far from the castle and farm fields. The fields where different colors, but the orange and pink glowed through the fields and trees, making them a beautiful mixture of colors.

The sun began to rise in the distant and filled the sky’s blue with pink and orange. She stayed leaned over on the window for a while before going to the hand carved dresser, and picking something out to wear.

“Oh my, all these clothes are old, like in the 1880’s or somethin,” Meme muttered, without further do she picked one out. She walked across the room to the mirror and looked at it first, “humm seems right.” Meme slowly pulled down the nightgown, and her body was revealed, her under wear was white, clean as usual.

She turned around and looked at her body in the life size mirror, “I might be putting on some pounds.” She glared at it a little longer then picked up the dress she was going to wear. She put the dress over her head, and slipped her arms in first, then her head. After slipping her head through she moved side to side to push the rest down her body. A tight squeeze, but still made it. She turned around again, and looked in the mirror to see how she looks. “I suppose so…this will do for now,” Meme said as she twirled in front of the mirror.

Chapter Five

Meme opened the bedroom door and walked out; she closed the door behind her, and looked down the hall. She stared into the long hallway looking for something, anything, but have not found it yet; the hallway was long and dark, faded away slowly as you look farther down. A noise far in the hallway startled her; she slammed her body up against the bedroom door, trying to move farther back, but could not.

In the shadows, a figure moves, coming closer, and closer, light footsteps are heard, from in front, and behind Meme. She looks back, but there was nothing but the bedroom door, on her back. The footsteps get louder, and a figure shows, a man with a tray.

The same man that was in the bedroom with her earlier. He is carrying a tray, with only one cup of water, half full. The glass moved side to side, as he walked down the hallway. The mans face is shaded, even when he passes a window that can lit up his face, it stays shaded, very awkward, but he continued to grin at her as he walked slowly to her.

“A glass of water, my lady?” the man said, and he stopped in front of her, still grinning.

She looked at him puzzled, and after a few moments she replied, “No…no thank.” She blinked quickly, and then the man grinned a little longer. He bowed his head, and turned around, walking away from Meme.

As he walked away he finally said, “You may Rome the castle as you wish, I have no problem with your medaling.”

He then disappeared into the shadows of the hallway. She didn’t make a move after hearing what he said, stunned by him, she finally gain control of herself, and begin walking to the stairs at the end of the hallway. Once she got to the stairs she picked up the bottom of her dress and walked down the stairs carefully. After a few hours, she finally arrived to the first floor, and had a great work out as well.

“Man, that is one hell of a work out, jezz…,” Meme said as she sat back on the second step of the stairway. “Humm, I wonder what this place has?” She asked herself. Meme thought for a while, and then decided to leave. She stood up from the step she was on and looked around.

She walked down the tunnel she was in, and when she came to the end. She found the entrance again, she came from the far tunnel on the left, the over to her left is the one she went down and got knocked out.

She remember what the man said, “I found you knocked out in my living quarters.”

“Humm, so the middle one was his living quarters, I wonder what is down thee far right side one.” She walked over to the far right one, then turn and looked down the hall. It was long and dark, but there was a dim of light at the end of the tunnel.

She began to walk down the hallway, and she slightly touched the wall with her right hand. Her dress swung front to back as she walked along the wall. The dress was stiff, but folded every so often. It was a tan color, with white sown in nicely knitted flaps that draped over the dress’s shoulders, the bottom, and the end of the selves.

She smiled, and hummed a luly-by, every so often saying the words, “hum-hum hummm hum-hum, hush lil baby, don’t you cry mommy’s here…hummm hum-hum, hum-hum hummm-hum hum-hum hummm hum-hum.” She walked for a while until she arrived to a door at the end of the hallway. “Like the last time…,” she muttered, and walked slowly to the doors.

Meme placed a hand on the handle and slightly pulled. The door creaked as it open, she pulled harder until it full opened up. She looked into the very large room. A library?” she murmured as she walked in; she twirled to see all of the walls covered in books.

“Wow!” Meme yelled as she blinked rapidly. In the middle of the room laid a desk, all alone. “humm? I wonder if that is my great grandfathers desk, or my ancestors desk?” Meme asked herself. She began to walk over to the desk, taking only baby steps.

She looks up and stops walking; her mouth opens but nothing comes out, she stands there looking at the ceiling. “It is…It’s so…It’s so…Beautiful!” she said, her eyes doesn’t blink, just stares into the ceiling.

The roof had several oil colors blending that formed all of her family; angels, two on each family member, held them high in the sky, and in the corner on the left side was Meme, 2yrs old with angel wings. She was an angel in this family. Her eyes began to water and tears fell to the floor, her moans echoed the large library.

Her legs collapse under her, and she cried on the floor. After a while, she noticed that the floor wasn’t stone, but instead it was gold. It formed another picture. It was a very large picture of Jesus, and the Virgin Mary.

Chapter Six

Meme stood up, and begin to walk to the desk in the middle of the room. She walked up to the desk very slowly, and right away spotted a large book upon the desk. There was a feather lying on the desk, looks as if it was used to write?

She walked around the desk to the front, and pulled out the large chair. Meme sat back in the chair and picked up the book, “the Diary of Jefferson Peaks.”

“Hum?” Meme muttered under her breath, and then she opened the book to the first page.

In Loving Memory of my granddaughter Susie, and my niece Meme.

“My uncle Jefferson,” Meme said, and then signed. She looked to the next page and picked up the picture that had all three of them together in it. She was 3 years old at the time the picture was taken.

“I didn’t know he was so rich nor he had all of this. Man it has been 24 years since this picture was tooken,” Meme muttered and stared at the picture. Soft music began to play, it startled her, and the book dropped to the floor. It echoed the large room, and Meme turned around to see what was going on.

“Young master always has soft music playing when he reads,” the man said standing nest to the record player.

“What thee hell…,” Meme said puzzled, and confused, she paused. She continued, “By the way what is your name?”

“My name? Well…it is…,” the man said looking around. He walked forward and then looked up, “Destined.”

She blinked then smirked, “Destined, never heard that before…nice to meet you.” She went to bow, but once she rose, he was gone. “What thee hell?” She looked around, and then looked back at the desk.

The book was still on the floor; she walked over and placed the book back on the desk. “I’ll read it in a bit,” she said, and looked around the room. “Ah, there it is!” she screeched in excitement. She ran to a corner of the room and there laid the ladder she was looking for.

“Now lets see normally, books are in order by author, but me uncle doesn’t do that, instead he alphatize the books, he done that back at my house when cleaning, kinda odd,” she muttered to herself. Standing there for a while thinking, she closed her eyes, and thought hard.

“Now if I was me uncle, would I start from left or right of the entry way…The Left!” she said opening her eyes. “He normally always does that in my room, crazy old uncle,” Meme said with a little laugh, it brought back so many good memories.

She pushed the ladder to the left until she found the letter A. “Section A, this is good I didn’t have to push the ladder that far to find A,” Meme said proudly. “Okay now to find Section E. it should be close now, I hope he has my favorite Manga ‘Ecole Du Ciel’ sach a good book,” Meme said, she skipped while pushing the ladder over to the E section.

She stops, and then climbs her way up the ladder, until she arrived at the EC section, and scammed through the books. “Humm, its not here!” Meme yelled; she climbed back down the ladder and on the last three steps, she stepped on her dress.

She fell off the ladder and onto the floor. It knocked the air out of her and once she gained back her air, “Lucky I didn’t fall from a higher height.” She stood up and walked back to the desk; she pulled out the chair and laid back into it.

Scooting forward making herself comfortable, she looked over the desk. “Hum, I wonder, what’s in this desk anyways?” Meme asked herself; getting up she started to run through the desks cabinets.

She open the first one that had a few papers inside, non-important and then she opened the second door. In it had medication and a lot pills, “Man, they got my uncle on ever pill made, jezz!”

She went on opening the last door; she opened the third door, “hum, odd?” Meme look puzzled, books were stored in this door.

She picked them up “Range Murata, Hurrah Sailor, and Ecole Du Ciel!” she screamed on the last book. Meme dropped the other books and closed the door that she found them.

Meme opened the book and started to read through each page, that wasn’t very long. She looked at all the pictures and laughs every so often.

She went on for about an hour before closing the book. She looked over to the record player, it stop playing. Looking back, she noticed some glasses on the desk; they were dusty, and small. “Hum must be my uncle’s,” Meme said; she reached out to the glasses and picked them up.

She twirled them in the air, and then pulled out a cloth and wiped them down. “I always needed glasses, but I never really wear them,” Meme muttered under her breath. Her version cleared and she noticed she was farsighted.

She looked over to the dairy that she had before, and decided to read it. She opened it up and laid it on her lap, turning the pages until she found page 3.

Chapter Seven

5-02-04

Hello sorry I am a little late but I will catch you up,
Today was an off day for me. It was so much like the day I met my niece Meme. I was surprised that my niece was so smart, and cute. She was the smartest in her class, but anyway there was the most beautiful woman in a café I entered. She had beautiful ocean blue eyes, and perfect black hair, that shined ever so much.

She was perfect; I swore I saw stars floating around her. Her smiled lit up the café, she began to walk near me, and I became very nerves. She brushed against me when walking out and when I got home that night, I found a piece of paper inside my coat pocket, and it read:

Kristian Brown
(688)653-8176

That was all that was written on it, it was folded in two. I called her as soon as I could. We made plans for the next night, and it was a fancy restaurant. It only accepts med-evil clothing that night. That night I took her to the teller, and we are going to took her to the teller and sized her up.

She liked all that they presented in the store so I bought her all of them just for her. I got to see her place that night also; her place was small and rigidly looking. I offer her to stay at my place, but she denied the offer, saying it is too soon.

I kissed her on the cheek and wished her a great night. I rode in my brand new car, I bought it for her, but she didn’t want it.

I did make her take my present to her, pure gold with diamonds, and engraved I Love you, on the necklace. It shined as her eyes twinkled to the beauty of it. She gasped when I opened the box; the look on her face was priceless.

She bounced up and down in joy, and some tears fell from her cheeks. She spoke such beautiful words, and then said, “I love you.” Staring into my semi-winkled brown eyes, they fill up with water, and a tear fell from my eye to the floor.

I was almost 32, but I fell in love with the 23 yr. Old beautiful women, of class. What was I thinking, but she is just so perfect….

Meme turned the page and read a little more, “Jezz, drama, and romance, not what interest me. I wonder what else is in here?” Meme said as she flipped through the pages, and then she notices something, she reads it aloud.

I had the builders of my small town make an extra room above the town and looking out to the rising sun, such a beautiful sight. She will love it, but I believe James is jealous; he is my butler in this big castle. He sneers at her; I am surprised when he stopped speaking to me when she is around.

One night he told me, she was playing me, I got so mad that I punched him right in the face. I feel sorry for doing it, he didn’t mean too. James got more shady then, and his service sped up, he is almost everywhere for some reason. He lurks in the shadows a lot, as well, he seems to be dead, his skin is pale, and he always smirks.

He loves to wear black business suites now instead of the medevil clothes; he is not so funny now. He is more serious, and he warned me not to make loud noises.

Chapter Eight

“Hum, that sounds like Destined is James brother or something?” Meme said and looked up. Destined was smiling upon her, and then he leaned over the desk placing a hand near her.

“My early Brother, he was right, he saw it,” Destined said and then leaned back. He smiled, turned and walked away towards the record player. He turned it back on and then slowly walked out of the room, taking careful steps.

“Hum? Odd,” Meme muttered, then flipped to the back of the book. She saw nothing, and flipped back where she was reading, “Strange this book is not complete I wonder where it ends?”

Meme flipped to the last page written on, she got bored reading the other stuff and decided to read the last written page. She read through it and found something,

A creaking door startled me, but what I saw on the other side wasn’t something that looked peaceful. It waits in the shadows, behind the door, but what was it. It stares into my eyes, and my body freezes, the crimson eyes, paralysis me.

“Hummmm that was the end of the page, wait, there’s something behind the page…,” Meme said, and turned the page over. “Ah!” Meme screamed, and toppled over to the floor.

What she saw was a picture of a shadow coming from the wall ripping and crushing her uncle. She started to cry at the picture, and moan. She sat back on the floor crying, and moaning until Destined reached his arms around her.

“That was the last time I saw young master,” Destined said closing his eyes and holding her tightly.

“Ah-uhh, Why! Why…, Why this,” Meme moaned.

“Shh, it will be okay,” Destined whispered in her ear. Destined Picked her up off the floor and made her stand up, “No more crying, okay.”

“Uh-o-okay…, but he’s been killed,” Meme sobbing, and then she looked up at Destined.

“Detectives are on the case as we speak, solving the jigsaw, don’t worry they’ll solve the case,” Destined said looking down into her eyes and moving closer to her.

“Such beauty, what a pity, all I need now is something…,” Destined was whispering under his breath, and trailed off.

“What did you say?” Meme said looking up at him.

“ Oh nothing, it was nothing…,” Destined said. Destined walked away from her, then stared at her in a weird loving way. He turned and left the room, and Meme got a weird since from him.

“Wait, the way he talks, young master, he is always referring to my uncle, he is not as young as that man,” Meme was pondering. Then an ideal pop up in her head, “Oh my god! Destined is not Destined, it is…,” she didn’t finished the sentence, because the room temperature dropped fast.

James appeared behind her breathing down her neck then he whispered, “You found out, my little secret.”

Meme gasped and froze in place; her body was almost like ice and she couldn’t move. Shadows begin crawling up her body touching every part of her body. Her breaths started to slow down; it was getting hard for her to breath.

The shadows already cover her body, and ready to squeeze the life out of her. James looked into her eyes that were twitching back and forth.

Trying to see what has a hold of her. She is scare now, her breath is being squeeze from her, but then the pressure begins to release. The shadows pulled back and withdraw back to their master, James.

“I just can’t do it, no,” James said as he kneeled down. Meme moved away from him running into a table that held knives. One of them poked her in the back, and that is when she looked over her shoulder noticing the blades. *I need them * she thought to herself.

She reached back still facing the creature of the night. Her hand got a hold of one of the blades, it was a short knife, but still long enough to penetrate his vitals.

James looked up to Meme, and stared into her eyes, as his started to glow crimson. He looked a little madder then before, instead of having a soft touch in his eyes, they flared with anger. He began to move to her, instead of walking he hovered over the floor.

His face started to move in weird patterns and his fingers twitched. Meme moved back, backing up to the exit, which was only about 10 feet away. She looked over her shoulder and saw it; she turned her head back around, and there James was standing right in front of her.

She freaked out and tripped over a book that lay on the floor. James kneels down beside her, and grins at her. A twisted facial expression was on Meme’s face when James grinned at her.

He forms his hand into a blade, and Meme slide the blade out of her back of her pants. James thrusts his hand into Meme, and blood spatters up at his face. She kicks her feet, and then relaxes her body.

Blood dripped from James mouth and, his body dropped onto her. Blood started to fill the floor, and the two laid there. Meme squints her eyes, and see she had stabbed him in the heart, directly in the heart, although, she took a nasty blow to the stomach, and it is bleeding quickly if she doesn’t get care, she will bleed to death.

She stares at the ceiling, and then turns her head to see a figure in the shadows. Go to page. 65

Her sight fades away, but hears a noise in the next room. Go to page. 70

Chapter Nine (1)

She stares at the ceiling and then turns her head to see a figure in the shadows. It moves a little bit the moves back to the spot it was originally located. Meme see the figure and hopes it is a person here to help her.

The figure began to come out of the shadows and showed it face. The figure was a rat, an over weight, blue rat. Meme face of excitement dropped, and then she started to gag on the blood. Her body became cold, and more blood came from her stomach, and the pain was fading, her sight begin to fade to black. Her body fully relaxed and then her pulse was gone, her heart stop beating, and then her brain stop working. She was dead, and nobody came to the house for a few hours, to find the butler dead on top of a dead woman, both stabbed to death….

The End.

Chapter Nine (2)

Meme sight fades away, but she hears a sound in the next room. Glass breaking and heavy footsteps echoed the next room. She hoped the person is hear to save her. The heavy footsteps get louder and closer to the room she is in. James’s body is getting heavier on her chest and it is making it harder for her to breath. Then the footsteps stop at the door, and the door burst open to a man with a gun and a flashlight pointing it around the room. Meme tried to speak but nothing is coming out, the pressure is too great on her, but she did grunt. The man pointed the light at her, and then rushed over to her side, wondering if she was still alive. “Are you okay?” the man asked, but the voice was very familiar. Meme didn’t reply to the man, and then he knew she was in some bad shape. The man pushed James’s body off Meme, and then checked for other wounds on her body. The flashlight shined up and showed his face, it was Beethoven. He moved her around and she started to feel a weird sensation in her body, as his hands moved across her body. After checking her, he picked her up off the floor and stand up to his feet. He carried her out of the room and out of the castle she was in.

Six months later….

Meme is watering her flowers outside of her yard. “Man it has been a day for me,” Meme said and wiped her forehead with her forearm. The sun was out and there not a cloud in sight. The house she lived in was a bright blue color in a community full of nice friendly people. Her boyfriend walks out of the house, “Lunch is ready, honey,” Beethoven said.

“Yes honnie,” Meme said, and rose from where she had kneeled down at. She walked into the house and then Beethoven sat down at the table; picked up his fork and spoon and began to eat with his new girlfriend. The two lived in the two near her uncle’s castle, only about 10 miles from them, and she took over the entire small town that clustered there. The two lived happily ever after that, until another mystery needed to be solved by the two of them….
The End.
