Long day.
Go Large!
My school took my phone Wednesday and I haven't got it back yet. It was so hard to get a ride home from school without a phone. And the school closed the office, locked it and turned the lights off. I don't see why they won't let us have phones in school. If I'm not using it during class there shouldn't be a problem. It's not fair. I was outside in that hard blowing wind for at least thirty minutes and now I'm gonna be sick again and then I'll have to go to the doctor and I can't affoprd to miss anymore school. But I'm not going to school sick. Oh life is so confusing!!!

Hey everyone. I had the strangest dream about my ex I guess cause I have been thinking about him alot lately. The dream emphasized his rudeness and self centeredness. It pretty much reminded me why I had broken up with him.But he still is the best looking boyfriend I've ever had....

The X Cells Chapter 1 & 2
Go Large!
Chapter One
"Ah...oww." Sage moaned in pain as he struggled to get away from his pursuers. "What is it that they want?" He asked himself as he crawled into the thick brush. The forest was dark that night with a new moon. Dark as it was Sage could his enemies clearly. Deep in the catacombs of his mind. He tried real hard to recollect the memories of the previous days. ~How did I get here? Where am I? Where's Angel? Where's Soldier? Mother? Am I the only one here? ~ He lay there on the cool moist ground waiting for his mind to provide answers it wasn't capable of providing. Waiting for the reason why. His right arm and legs were bleeding from the wounds he had sustained while escaping captivity. ~What do they want? ~ He asked himself the same question trying to find an answer. Trying to find the reason why.
Renegade woke up to the sound of rushing water. He had been napping next to the waterfall just outside of town. Water had a calming affect on him, so he often came there to rest. "Aww, man. That was a good sleep." He took a deep yawn and staggered to his feet as he was still disoriented from the nap. "Man, oh man, things sure are peaceful around here without Lloyd." he said. He then stood there and thought quietly to himself. ~Peaceful isn't the word. It's more like boring. Where'd Lloyd go anyway? ~ He was deeply puzzled about why his friend had left. No one else seemed to know why either. He slowly made his way back to Symphony, walking along a weary dirt road. ~The only road into and out of Symphony. The road Lloyd took when he left the town behind.~ Upon entering Symphony, Renegade was greeted by a variety of people, but one person in particular he noticed approaching him in the distance.
"Renegade." She said as she took a few steps closer to him. "Why hasn't Lloyd returned yet? This is his home. He wouldn’t just leave us like this. Symphony is so dark...so gray...so depressing without Lloyd. Like a prison." she said with a look so depressing one might think she'd convinced herself she was in one. "Sapphire, you never give up hope do ya? Lloyd's like a...what ya call... a...rollin' stone. He gathers no moss...or somethin'. Ya get me?" He said almost confusing himself.
"What do stones have to do with Lloyd coming back? Honestly you can be the most difficult person in the world to talk to, with all your stones and what not." Sapphire was now looking at Renegade with much aggravation. He could see the hurt, the sorrow deep within her eyes. It became clear to him that it wasn't that she didn't see Lloyd for what he was, she just chose not to. To keep her fragile heart from breaking, she pretended he was the person she wanted him to be. ~Poor Sapphire. She really cares about Lloyd. He knew this, too. Maybe that's why he left without telling her goodbye. He didn't want to see the hurt and pain in her eyes. Or, maybe he just didn't care. Lloyd really is a hard person to figure out when it comes down to his emotions. ~ "Look Sapphire...he's...he's...not coming back. I think you need...no, Symphony needs to move on." Renegade said to her. "Move...on?" Sapphire turned this option over in her head. She then thought about Lloyd, the person he really is. "Yes. It's best that we do move on." She said as she fought back the tears. "So, I'm not going to hear anything else about Lloyd from you?" he asked her. "No more Lloyd." she replied. "So, are we moving on?" he asked. She took a deep breath before she answered, "We're moving on."
The past will burn at your soul, your heart, your life. Rip you apart and leave you broken down and miserable. You think you know someone, until they betray you. Leaving you numb on the inside and unable to feel emotional pain. Unable to fear trouble because you've been through the worst. To be terrified night after agonizing night by the horrible memories that haunt your subconscious. It's been two months since that morning she was alone with Axle. Two months imprisoned and tortured by her own mind.
Artimis lay awake in her bed. Afraid to sleep. Afraid to dream. Afraid of her nightmares. Artimis rose out of bed and slipped out the window and onto the roof. It was a new moon that night and the sky looked lonely and sad. She lay up there thinking about Eternity. ~ Oh sweet Eternity. If only I could be with you. Someone who has never hurt me and I know you never will. Someone I love. Someone who loves me. ~ Eternity had been gone for years now. Members of the town found his house broken into. As if he was kidnapped into the night. ~ If only Eternity had been here to protect me. Protect me from Axle. ~ She lay there gazing at the stars. "Baby... I'll find you. Someday."
Then all at once, Artemis was struck with a great idea. ~ I'll leave. Right now. Escape from the misery of this town and into the arms of the one I love. The one who loves me. ~ She climbed down off the roof and back into her home. She was only fifthteen but she knew how to work a bow-n-arrow and a gun if she needed it. She also knew exactly what she wanted: Eternity. She packed her bow, arrows, Uzi, bullets, clothes, money, and her golden locket Eternity had given her for her birthday. She placed her locket carefully around her neck. She went back up to the roof and climbed down a nearby tree. She took one last look at her house. The place she had grown up in. ~ For give me mother, father. But it's time to let go of the past. Stop blaming myself, torturing myself, for a past I didn't create. Time to seek out the happiness that so rightfully belongs to me. I’ll be back… yes to let you know I’m alright… one day. ~ When she turned around to leave, she noticed a figure watching her off in the distance. She halted in her tracks as she tried to make out who it was. Then the figure shifted a bit into the light. It was Axle.
Chapter Two
Celeste stared out of her open window into the clear blue sky. "Ah... this fresh air sure does my heart some good." She said as she drew in deep breaths of the crisp morning air. "It's a beautiful day, isn't it?" She asked her daughter and youngest child, Angel. "Yes ma'am it is." replied Angel. She then spoke without thinking. "But it's not the same without Sa-, Soldier." She caught herself before she completely said his name. She hoped her mother had not caught on to what she almost said, for she was tryin', in this act, to save her some grief. "You think if you don't talk about Sage I'll just forget about him. Forget about the day they broke into my house and chased my baby out into the forest." She paused a moment as she turned around to face Angel. "I'll never forget him." She said solemnly. Looking deep into Angel's eyes she told her, "Go retrieve your brother, Soldier, I need to talk to the both of you." Angel turned and left out the house. She began her walk to the other side of town where her brother, Soldier resided.
As Angel walked, she let her mind go back to that night two weeks ago. The last time her family was together. Celeste had cooked an elaborate meal for Angel, Sage, and Soldier. Soldier had finished building his house and had just moved out the week before. It was the night before his twenty-fifth birthday. There was supposed to be an extravagant birthday celebration the next day, but because of what happened that night all plans for it were forgotten.
Celeste, Angel, Sage, and Soldier had sat down, said grace, and were in the process of eating, when a crew of eager looking men knocked down the door and grabbed Sage. Angel took her mother to the back, while Soldier stayed behind to help his brother fight. Angel waited in the back with her mother until they could no longer hear any noise. She then went to the dinning room to see the end result of the brawl. Angel could clearly remember walking into the room seeing, nailed to the wall with a pick going through his right shoulder, Soldier. "Sage left... he headed towards the woods... ugh... damn I have to help him." Soldier had said once Angel had managed to remove the pick. He was bleeding so heavily that Celeste refused to let him go. "Sage will be back. He always comes back, no matter what. He's just gone for now. If you leave in that condition you'll never come back."
Angel had finally reached her brother's home. He was outside on the porch as if he had been awaiting her arrival. "Hey, Angel." He rose as he greeted her. "Is there a problem at home, Mother's heart?" A troubled look was now upon his face. "No... Mother's fine." Angel said quickly. "She asked me to come get you. She said that there is something she needs to talk to us about." She then kneeled down to tie her shoelace for she noticed it was untied. "O.K. then let's go." Soldier said as he stepped down off of the porch and walked over towards Angel. The two of them then walked home together.
Celeste was waiting for them when they arrived. "What's wrong, Mother?" Soldier asked, still not convinced that everything was o.k. "Nothing sweetheart, it's just that I have to discuss an important issue with you two. Your brother Sage... he's not coming back. And we just can't pretend that he never existed... no... I want you to find him. Both of you. Bring your brother back home." Tears fell from her eyes as she said this. “I need to see him again." She said as she looked deep into Soldier's eyes. "Then you will." he replied.
The sun was shining brightly through the windows, penetrating the paper thin curtains and illuminating the small lodging that Nitrate had provided Lloyd with in exchange for his services. Lloyd had been working for the Zerdical branch of Nitrate for quite some time now. Almost, but not quite, a month. Nitrate had done an extra good job in finding Lloyd. They had been searching for him for months after hearing tales of his extraordinary mercenary skills. They were extremely disappointed when they heard that he had settled down in a quiet little town and that that part of his life was over. But it had been almost a month now. A month of hunting down the extraterrestrial beings that roamed the Earth. Feasting upon human flesh while awaiting the command from their headquarters to take over. They're only identifiable by the x-cells inside their body.
Apparently this “X-Cell”, as it was called, was some type of a super cell. Giving these beings super human strength. The source of there power. It could be contracted form them using extremely sensitive tools. And destroyed only by use of a special serum which had been created by the people of Nitrate H.Q. The guns that they used on them were loaded with a special bullet which held a special chemical formula which caused petrifaction in the x-cells. This allowed Nitrate to capture and study these beings, alive. Nitrate had tried and failed in the past (numerous times) to find out more information on the X- Cell invasion. They had given up on interrogating the beings and decided to study their weaknesses.
Nitrate had searched medical records of hospitals in the surrounding area to find these "x-celled individuals" as they called them. Once found they were hunted down and exterminated or captured- depending on their physical and mental state. These beings were highly skilled, intelligent, and dangerous. "Evil...pure evil." Lt. Curryworth, the man in charge of Zerdical branch, had told him. "We must hunt them down to protect innocent lives from being lost."
He thought of these words as he lye in bed. In exchange for his services Nitrate funded an expensive operation enabling his Aunt Selena to see again for the first time in 20 years. He couldn't help but think back to the moment his aunt had seen him for the first time in her life. It was the most precious memory he owned. After these services he was more than happy to help the good people at Nitrate.
Awakening under the bushes he had crawled under to die, he noticed that his wounds had miraculously stopped bleeding. He could no longer feel anymore pain and was in shock at the very fact that he had woken up that morning. ~ Did I dream it all?~ He questioned himself before he conducted further investigation of his surroundings. His blood saturated the ground beneath him and his clothes were torn were he remembered the gashes to be, but their were no cuts to be seen. Sage was alive, and he had gotten away scott-free!
Crawling from under the bushes, Sage took in his surroundings. The forest he stumbled through last night and the one he stood in today seemed to be worlds apart. He remembered it dark and treacherous. Danger lurking in the shadows. Teeming with unknown enemies. The forest he was in now seemed peaceful, one might even say sleepy. The terrors of the night had been laid to rest during the day, ashamed to show their faces in the beautiful light of day. Butterflies filled the air, making the forest seem enchanted. Strangely all of them were pink, blue, or a mixture of them both. He closed his eyes and breathed in the fresh air of the forest. Sage felt at peace with himself. He could hear the faint whisper of water, a stream maybe. It was nearby. Sage followed the sound until he was upon it.
After he had carefully washed all the blood from his clothes and skin he continued walking through the forest. He traveled deeper and deeper into the forest and the ground began to gradually slope downward. When Sage noticed he was walking down hill he decided to go with gravity and run it. He could feel the wind stream through his hair as he ran faster and faster as the hill grew steeper. ~ How long has it been since I felt free? Since I was free? ~ He could now see the bottom of the hill. Sage tried to slow down and he wasn’t surprised when he found it difficult to. When he reached the bottom he tripped over something, a log maybe, and fell. The ground caved in on him and Sage found himself in a hole.
“Aah, damn.” Sage said as he struggled to stand. ~ Could this be a trap? ~ He was on top of something – something hard. It had broken beneath him on impact and he could feel part of it poking into his back. Then it dawned on him – he was in a grave. Slowly he stood up and looked down at his feet. He had broken the wooden box the body was buried in. Strangely enough the body had no odor. ~ Could this person still be alive? ~ Sage wondered over this as he broke off more pieces of wood. The coffin was weak and the wood broke off easily. He kept on until he could see the face. It was a young man with long jet black hair and a light brown skin complexion. He appeared to be only sleeping and there were no signs of decay. Sage checked his pulse – he was dead. His body was warm. Not warm enough to be alive, but not cold enough to be a dead man.
Sage rose to his feet being deeply disturbed by the body. He climbed carefully out of the grave, making sure that he didn’t slip back in. He noticed four neat rows of tombstones. “What the hell?” he said as he looked around him. “What is this?” He brushed the dirt from his clothes as he looked around at the tombstones. Sage decided to leave before things got any creepier. ~ Damn, I’ll walk around the graves. Don’t want to find myself on top of another corpse. ~ Sage was about to make his way out of the cemetery when he turned around to take one last look at the grave he had fallen into. He let his eyes rise to the tombstone and he read: X Cell #19: Eternity.
