Welcome to my site archives. 10 posts are listed per page.
I finished (partially) one of my projects! A bookmark repository that can be accessed from anywhere with an internet connection. Very handy. I got the idea from the PHP 5 stuff I dumped on \\MAIN, but I wrote the scripting myself. Therefore, it is WAY cooler. :P If you want to check it out, and possibly use it if you like, it is at this link, or you could go to this link and click "bookmark," if you feel like working a little harder.
Let me know what you think about the ease of use. I know I need a better GUI, so to speak, but just the coding bit for now. I'd also like to note that it is not really valid HTML either. It has no real headers, so it isn't valid, but it should display alright in Firefox as well as IE. Others, I cannot test.
I did nothing today. I decided to post the edited exportation of my iTunes song list of "Purchased Music". I decided to do a nice little table. See below.
I half killed the battery in my iPod today... One day, not even that long. 200+ songs on the thing already. I decided I have to budget my iTunes money a little better, 'cause I don't got much left now! I bought two more songs today, so now I have 9. And of COURSE I have the theOtaku podcast set to update. :) The people are so weird on there.
I smacked my iPod on the desk again today... I think it's still scared of me.
Well, I have been working on some projects lately. None of them are the polished and ready to release stuff, but I have the basis of an online bookmark repository (More handy than your browsers bookmarks because you can get them anywhere there's a computer with internet), and something of a store/cart system. (with no checkout or SSL thingy.) They will eventually be accessible at http://www.matt3402.com/projects/ , where they will be in the nice and shiny "I'm done with this for now" stage. The bookmarks thing will come first, since I'm leaving for my Grandma's again soon. That way I can still get to places at the hotel with the website thing. When I do throw the files to the web, they won't be completely done, but you should be able to register, add bookmark things, and delete them too.
During the time that I'm gone, you can still email me, of course. :P
Well, I must go and do dorky things now.
Okay... maybe I am. I'm also a little wacky about it. I was cleaning all the palm prints off the back of my spiffy, new, little machine, and I discovered two little scratches. In less than a day I scratched it! So now there will be no more desk for this iPod. The face is fine, I still haven't taken the plastic off. So then after I cleaned the shinyness on the back, I was putting it in my lap so it wouldn't get scratched from the desk, and then I smacked the corner on the desk accidentally. Then I was hugging it and saying "I'm sorry!" If anyone was there besides myself, I think I'd be writing this from a mental institution. Then, if Apple tracked how many times this iPod has been turned off, synced, charged, and how long it played in the amount of time since language choice, they'd think I was crazy too.
So now, my iPod will NOT be set against ANY solid surface without some form of a cusioning barrier between it anf the surface.
Now, make than sentence up top read thusly: "I am so overprotective of my iPod that if it were a person, it would be scared to death of me."
So I got an iPod, finally! The black one. 30GB Video. (Nanos are dumb and shuffles are just plain stupid!)(That's obviously a personal preference issue...) I also got two of those uber (umlaut that u) cool iTunes music cards, so now I have a "mac id" and a few songs on it. Right now, out of $15 thrown on the account, I have $10.05 left. I bought 4 songs and was -nice- enough to give my sister one that she likes soo much. Now I must listen to my abused (pronounced a-buse-ed), over-played, silly, more-than-likely-scared-by-me iPod. XD
Edit: Since when did OB send "Happy Birthday!" emails to me?!? I never got one before!
Edit, again: Darnit! I have to go upstairs and get my USB-Dock cable and sync my iPod AGAIN because I forgot I bought a song just before I put it away... DUH!
Edit. for the third time... (I bet you're getting pretty sick of me now, eh?): I named my iPod iPody! not really... I updated it again and bought more music... so now I have $8.07 on my account! :)
I know what these mean, but i like the one on the left. The page it was on (Apple's Support) said "Is your iPod sad?" That's hilarious. It looks more dead to me, but that's just what I think, and I don't matter... that much...
I did yet more work on the script I wrote last night. Evolved it slightly. I may even reuse some of this stuff for when I finally redo my main site. I'm still in the process of getting the "hostees." subdomain finished, because I need the terms of use and the form to request a spot.
I hope I get an iPod for my birthday. I'm kinda hinting on how I want an iPod more than the other two things i listed [CD and iTunes card(s)] by keeping on mentioning how cool it is and how it works and all that stuff. Then I borrowed the sheet of letterhead I stole "borrowed" from a box of it my dad has that I printed my list on. I proceeded to draw a plain arrow to the iPod listing and wrote "REALLY WANT THIS!" in caps in the margin above and below the arrow. My plan is that if I'm so frickin annoying about it, they'll get me one so I'll shut up! I hope it works. I maight also get more tan just the iPod, like I think's going to happen. I might get all three things, since my brother and his wife are probably going to get me -something- at least. Then my sister has to get something. My list would be longer if we had approximately 602.5 million dollars... But we'd be poor or close to it after I get an AIBO and bribe the Sony execs to give me a QRIO that speaks English... (QRIOs "natively" speak Japanese, I don't!) XD
I get to make the big deal out of my birthday on Fathers' day, even though my birthday isn't until the next day. Mainly it's because then I can open cool gifty things while my brother and his wife are there. My mom's baking the cake and I forgot what kind of ice cream I got... All I know is it's one of the beige-ish Edy's ones and it was a newer flavor. I may go look later to see, but I don't know when I will...
We're (probably) going to go to the CWS opening thingy. My sister won't stop bothering my dad about it, but her sources are wrong about what time it starts. She says that it starts at 7PM, but it actually starts at 9AM! And the concert (Yellowcard performing) is at 5:30-ish! NOT 7! Okay, sis? :P
Well, I'm going to take the cheap way of putting a button here: HTML again.
I finished something I was working on for that site no one ever visits. Now the people who actually join, can send messages to each other! Finally!
I want an iPod... still...
I got bored and opened my mouse and I'm still using it without the part that you rest your palm on. I hope I don't forget that there is a bunch of electronics down there so I don't squash them and break the mouse!
I think I'm going to do more button/states work so I can get more interesting looking buttons. So, Seeya!
