I know something...
I know something that I want even more than a new digital camera: A WACOM Cintiq!!! It's a monitor with a graphics tablet IN it! IT IS SOO AWESOME! It's probably the closest to drawing on paper i've ever seen for a computer... But it's expensive, as I would assume. It costs ~$2000 for the 21" model, but if I had it, I would be actually using it, unlike the $50 graphics tablet I have now, which is not as nice as the other Intuos3 tablet I was looking at... Mine is meant for photo-editing, not creating, which is what I try to use it for.
However, I'm gonna stick to paper and pencil until I get as good as I want to be, which will be a long time... I'm very bad at drawing things that I see in my head, 'cause I imagine things in full color and, well, 'high definiton,' if you will. It's difficult for me to smooth out the extraneous details until later, and I'm frequently known to draw the details before the entire outline is complete, which would probably be a mistake on my part. But I AM(!) going to work on my artistry, be it semi-constantly during the day, once a day for an hour, or whatever it may be. I'm also going to be trying to find any free internet resources that would help me with what I should actually be drawing before the actual "first line" is layed. I tend to completely ignore the predrawing steps, like prewriting. I see it as extra work, but if it makes it actually possible for me to draw correctly, I'll do it. So I'm going to try drawing and possibly submit it, or at least post it, granted it's good enough. ;)
Well, less than a week of school left, and I AM ANXIOUS! I SOOOOOO want to get out of school. I would call it something else because of all the torture, but I think we all know what it would be now. For those of us who don't: The underworld, and a negative hill. It's been a long year, and I can't wait to say that I've been on here for two years. I can do that July 22nd. I can't wait.
I also haven't mentioned the stats in a while, huh? Here they are!

How about that? I almost had the year that Apollo 11 went down for my popularity ranking. Since I'm not well aquainted with 1968, what happened then?
Buh... I moved speakers today. Now my subwoofer sits up on the desk by it's power adaptor, and my rear speakers are "floating" from "paddle-wire," which is really florists' wire. I did that to ballance the sound out a bit better than it was, and because I hated having the cords on the floor. Creative should have made the cords about two feet longer... Then I wouldn't have needed to move them! Now I just need to find a way to keep the center speaker out of the way of the viewing area of the monitor and still in the center! That'll be a task, since the monitor doesn't go up and down, just tilt. (and pan, to an extent) I'll think of something other than suspension...
Well, I'll get to trying to draw after I stop "drooling" over the WACOM Cintiq thing! XD
Seeya!
