Reality compression
This is a story about me and Isaac, my spirit charge, during a time when you were saving your planet, it is a bit differentiated from the truth but not much at all. BTW this is when i was just finding religion in my life.

Reality Compression

“Wake up.”
“Huh? Wah?”
He looked over at the clock.
“It’s only a little after midnight, technically it is Sunday morning. What did you wake me up for?”
“Your world will be needing you now.”
“Where did you just come from?”
“Had a meeting with God on Mars.”
“OK well I will only be a moment.”
He got out of his bed and walked over to his dresser. He pulled out a set of clothes and walked into the bathroom to change. She made his bed and then sat on it, making sure not to make a single sound so she didn’t wake his brother up. He was a heavy sleeper, but she couldn’t take any chances. He came back out of the bathroom, changed into different clothes with his pajamas in his hands. He put them on his bed.
“Well, now that I am awake, what is it you need MD?”
“Here it comes.”
“Here what comes?”
He barely finished his sentence before everything morphed in front of them. All the objects in the already darkened room seemed to stretch or change shape, or color, some even began to emit light, and others started to absorb light. The entire situation made no sense.
“You world is going through a reality compression. Something is creating the compression, something or someone. Whoever, or whatever, is creating it is backed by Satan himself, preventing God from interfering. But as you know if Satan can prevent God from interfering, then God can prevent Satan from interfering. So neither force can interfere, but when this is over we will be sent back to before the compression happened.”
“What is a reality compression?”
“Same thing as a time compression but with reality instead of time. Make sense?”
“Yeah, Final Fantasy 8 helped a bit on that. A time compression is where all time is put directly into the present creating a sort of pas-en-ure.”
“Since this is all compressed it will make no sense whatsoever. Your closet door could lead to a cabin in India, or even an elven home on Mars. This could take a while.”
“Could, unless you pinpoint where the Creator is. While you where gone I was busy perfecting teleportation.”
“We should get moving, we have no time to lose.”
They took a step and once again everything shifted.
“What was that?”
“It seems they have combined dimensional space, too. No matter what you know how to get around your house, the layout is all the same, it just doesn’t look that way.”
They took more steps and everything still shifted. They hoped that eventually they would get used to this. She turned left outside his room, to head to the back door to get somewhere else. He turned right.
“Isaac! What are you doing?! It is still possible to get lost.”
“Don’t be so loud. I’m just checking something.”
He went over to the oven, or at least what resembled the oven. She quickly strode over to him, not making a single sound at all. He turned the oven on and opened the door. A blast of freezing cold air full of snow came rushing at him.
“Well, technically it is a door.”
He walked over to where the fish tank is in a normal world. It wasn’t the prettiest sight. The fish were inside-out and still swimming.
“Ugh, I’d hate to see what our dog looks like. Well what do you think we should do MD? We could try opening doors until one turns up to be one where a weird looking guy is in our sight.”
“Well he could look like anyone.”
“But he would have an awful psychic smell.”
“Yes, but do you know how many doors there are? That would take longer than forever. The refrigerator has a door and that means we would have a very limited food supply and you know how an elven metabolism works. Not to mention we don’t even know if this food is edible.”
“Yeah, you guys have to eat every three hours, which is like five times a day versus our three, wouldn’t want our favorite Holy Elf starving.”
“Speaking of elf, I brought you this elven tempered morphing rod, it is short until you spin it, the centripetal force pulls the ends out and locks them in place, creating a full, six foot staff. Don’t know how useful it is here. Speaking of that, how useful are my blades?”
She took a good look at her blades; they were heavy, dull, and rusted, completely useless. Only one was preserved, the ruby blade. She had a ruby put in that blade about twelve thousand years ago. He spun his staff, it locked in place nicely but was heavy and rusted, and it was the only useful staff-like thing he could find though. He was pretty good with staves, they where his special weapons, much like her blades.
“Only Red seems to have the ability to fight, I guess that magic aura emitted by the ruby protected it.”
“We should probably start searching again, the question is: How long is this going to take?”
“I don’t know, but we have to finish it soon or I could starve.”
“Well in this reality we don’t know if we need to eat, or drink. Maybe we need to drink almost constantly. This is going to be tough.”
They decided to open the oven door again. This time just a dry gust of wind blew out. He looked at her.
“Well where ever it is must be just as good of a place to start as any.”
They went into the oven, it was a sort of crammed entrance but they got out OK. They appeared in a white room. The room was filled with doors of all sorts, including the oven door they just came from, but now it probably leads to another Spectra oven. They couldn’t see the other wall to the room and there seemed to be light emitted from nowhere. But that is no surprise in a reality compression.
“So this must be a door room. This is the room all doors lead to. As you can see some of these are two-dimensional doors and some of these doors will change every time you look at any infinitely small point on them, these would be higher dimensional space doors. Well which one you want to try first?”
“Does this also mean that the culprit could be in like the fifth spatial dimension?”
“Yeah, this could get really confusing.”
“Well, since there is no telling what leads to what we might as well start trying.”
“We, should split up, maintain a psychic link in case you find him or something happens. I am only slightly psychic so I can only maintain the link; you would have to start it. And don’t try to use telekinetics, it deals with reality and we aren’t exactly sure how screwed up reality is yet.”
“OK, start, and maintain link, don’t lift heavy objects, you are starting to sound like a doctor.”
“Yeah, nothing else interferes with reality too much. See ya in a little bit.”
“K, see ya.”
They split up, Isaac went to the right, and MD went to the left. Isaac slipped in a second dimensional door while MD went to a third dimensional door. As she stepped into the door she felt a lack of helium, the substance that she breathes. She would have to take deep breaths for a while. There was a great chill and she couldn’t see a sun, if it was there, but the night sky was clear and the ground shone with what little light there was from the stars. It was actually a beautiful sight.
It was difficult but she recalled her first hundred years alive. When she was in school. Elves have a lot of knowledge and wisdom, but they don’t see that they have to prove it by building some great machine like the humans do. Elves go to school like people, just one hundred years of it instead of thirteen. In her late seventies she remembered having an astronomy class with the village elder. If she could use the constellations to pinpoint her location she could find out what planet she is on.
She looked at the sky hard, remembering to take deep breaths, when she did forget she was reminded by the suffocating sensation. Of all she could tell it looked like she was on Pluto. That explains why it is colder, but wouldn’t Pluto be even colder than this? Well, this is a reality compression. It is hard to decipher the truth.
Pluto, this should be interesting, she always wanted to know if God had put life on Pluto or not. You don’t really question God, he tells you what you need to know, she learned that from Lucifer’s mistake. She hoped most people did, that’s why she wrote that in the bible. Putting more information in the bible simply complicates human life, but that part was important. And it had a couple of more messages for human kind in the bible code.
She started to look around a little bit more. She started to wander, looking for another door. She went over hills and small cliffs made of ice and rock to lead eventually to an icy door. It was just sitting in the middle of nowhere. She examined it, it was a bit difficult to tell if it was made of ice or just frozen metal. She eventually found it was metal. She tapped on it a couple of times and found it was a safe door. She went through it.
It was no longer hard to breathe. The planet she was on now was hard to tell. It was raining, but not a normal rain. It rained bows, both types, bow ties and bow as in the bow and arrow, her brother’s weapon. All were different colors of the rainbow. A couple hit her in the head. The cloak’s hood wouldn’t help much here, she would just have to live with it. In the distance she could see a ‘real’ rainbow. She moved closer to it, curious to find out why it was different. As she approached it she found it was actually raindrops that changed colors with altitude while the altitude line was curved like a rainbow. At a high altitude the rain would be red, then it would shift slowly to orange, then yellow, then green, then blue, the purple. After that it would become too clear to see. It was quite fascinating actually.
She looked around for another door. Hopefully it would lead to somewhere that made at least a little sense. This ‘rainbow’ was cool but made no sense whatsoever. Everything was different from the last time she was in a reality compression.
“You were in another reality compression before this one?”
“Huh? Oh, yea.”
“Did you forget about the link already?”
“Yea.”
“Well anyway how do you get this thing to go back to its small form? This staff is kinda heavy in this compression.”
“Turn it upside right.”
“OK.”
“Now tap it on the ground 3 times.”
“Hey it worked, thanks. Find anything?”
“Nope, not yet.”
“OK well I’m about to head through a CCC, hear from you in a little bit.”
A CCC was a Colorful Crystal Cavern. They saw them from other planets they had been to. The special crystal in these caverns created psychic interference. You wouldn’t get a static sound you would just get nothing.
‘You know, that’s the reason I like that kid, he could have gone deeply into the subject of my last compression, but instead he didn’t. He understands that I will tell him when I want to. He doesn’t pry like most humans. Maybe that’s why he was assigned as my partner. Now that I think about it we do make a good team. My eyesight is extraordinary and he wears glasses and is slowly going blind. He is superbly intelligent, I’m just an elf, usually elves aren’t as smart as humans, but they have and excellent amount of common sense. I use blades, he uses a blunt staff, and he is good with it too. He’s empathic and I’m always getting scratches and scrapes on different planets, and the ones he can’t heal he knows an herb that can.’
Now she once again saw a little piece of God’s mind, how mysteriously he worked; it was more mysterious than many people know. She got back on track and used her elven eyes to scan through the bows for a door. She saw a white sliding door about a mile away. She ran over to it. While running her hood fell off her head but her cloak stayed on, she didn’t command it away. She felt something bouncing on her head. She stopped and felt around the top of her head. Eventually she found her ears were moved, and they were fuzzy. She checked the rest of her body for any other ‘abnormalities.’ She found she now had 2 foxtails. This was just like last time.
“So last time you were like half fox?”
“One-sixteenth, just ears and tail, but last time I only had one tail.”
“Well I found a white sliding door in the CCC and now I’m on a subway, the people seem to look the same, from the popularity of this subway I’d say I’m in New York.”
“OK, let me go through this door I found, I’m almost there.”
She raced to the door, covering about two-tenths of a mile in a few seconds. She slung it open to find him sitting there on the subway train.
“Nice of you to join me.”
She took a seat.
“It’s nice to sit down. I don’t know about you but I’m getting hungry.”
“I’ll be fine till about 8 o’clock.”
She looked around for any trace of food. She found an empty seat next to her with a burger and some fries. She looked at everyone in the area for any sign of movement that might signalize possession. From what she could tell (and she was quite good at this) no one owned it. It took her less than a minute to eat it.
“Found anything yet Isaac?”
“Nothing yet, not even in the CCC, usually everybody hides in there, I guess they have found out that we use a psychic connection for battle communication.”
“I haven’t found anything either, but maybe they did find out our psychic secret. It was kind of easy to figure out, if we work flawlessly together we are either A) twins or B) psychic. And as Mendel would put it if he knew there were elves ‘It is nearly impossible for an elf and a human to be twins.’”
“Yes, but we can only help our own stupidity, not others, otherwise I know a lot of people that need my help.”
“No kidding.”
A man walked by them, he didn’t look all that different. He wore a brown trench coat and a hat. A thought hit them both at the same time, they looked around for other humans, there was only one left, sleeping about ten seats away from MD. But the human was different, as was Isaac; he had a sort of cattish look to him. He was missing the tail but had the ears, whiskers, and a tiny pink nose. But this guy was perfectly normal. They looked back at him in his slow pace. Both of them jumped up and chased after him. He ran without even looking back.
MD can run fast for an elf, faster than a cheetah. But it, whatever it was, elusively stayed the same distance from her no matter what. Even when Isaac was falling behind, he seemed to see it the same distance away. He teleported it to him. But, oddly, he instead teleported the chair next to it. He didn’t understand, he hardly ever missed, except before he got his glasses. Then he just couldn’t see, but it is no excuse if these are less than six months old.
MD pulled out Red and aimed well. Her superior elven eyes locked on, it was moving in a straight line, and it can’t be that hard. She threw Red with her elven marksman precision. Just when it was about to hit his back it curved around him and fell edge down into the floor. She stopped and Isaac caught up with her.
“What was that? He was able to evade your specialized blade throwing and my teleport.”
She picked up Red.
“What happened Red?”
“Well,” the gruff voice said, “I really wanted to hit that thing but somehow the area I was in was warped.”
“Well that proves it then.”
“Proves what?” Isaac asked.
“That was the creator of this compression.”
“So that is why he was able to manipulate reality.”
“Yeah”
“Well I’m going back to sleep,” Red said.
“That’s fine Red.” She put him in his sheath. “So now we know he can manipulate reality with the thought of it. He is pretty powerful.” ‘A lot more powerful than my last compression.’
“So what do we do now MD?”
“Did you catch his brain wave pattern? If so we can teleport him. No, actually I guess not. Teleport seems useless against him directly, and there is almost no way to use teleport against him indirectly.”
“Yeah, this is going to be really tough, but I didn’t get his brain wave pattern.”
“Ouch.” She held her shoulder and then looked at her fingers after half a minute. They were red with blood.
“How did you get hurt?”
“I don’t know, it’s fresh.”
“Well, I guess things aren’t supposed to make sense. Hold out your arm.” He touched her arm very lightly, and then it slipped out of his mouth. “Pain on left arm, cut by blade; confused; worried; happy.” Then he stopped touching her. “How did you get a blade cut on your left arm? And why are you so worried? We will make it out alive. But I can understand why you might be confused, I am. But I have never felt such happiness in you, what are you so happy about?” He touched her arm again, closed his eyes and concentrated. The wound healed up and the bleeding stopped. “There now you are all fixed up.”
“Thanks, well I am a bit worried because we don’t know what this creator looks like. But I’m happy because I have finally realized something; I may be stuck in some weird reality compression, but I’m stuck in a weird reality compression with my best friend out of the hundreds of planets I’ve been to. You’re the best partner I could ask for.”
“The same to you my friend. I guess it really isn’t that bad when you think about it.”
“You ready? We have about five hundred planets to search.”
“Well, great, that sounds encouraging.”
“I know. But we will do it together this time since it might be able to make you misteleport.”
“Aye, aye, MD.”
The subway stopped and the doors opened, it was once again time to search through an infinite number of planets and dimensions for one person who can twist and turn the very thread of reality. It can be in multiple places at once or no where at all, be in the past, present, or future.
The door opened way to a great forest. Bugs zoomed around, zigzagging back and fourth. The smell of green life was everywhere. Once again it was another beautiful sight.
"Is this Mars?"
"No, Mars . . . is . . . different. I can't figure out what it is but this is not Mars."
They started walking forward; constantly looking at all angles of their new surroundings. Isaac ran into a tree.
"Hmm that's weird, that tree wasn't there before."
"No, I don't think he would put a tree in front of you. How useless would that be?"
"I don't know."
They began walking again.
"Isaac, stop."
"What?"
"Stop levitating me."
"I'm not, he seems to be . . . toying with you."
"Man, I wish we weren't affected by a reality compression. Wait, I hear something."
She paused and listened as her elven ears twitched.
"Rustling, to the left, about 28 degrees back."
He quickly turned around and looked. There, crouching behind a bush was a cat-like person. Isaac twitched his new ears.
"Who are you?"
"The real question is 'Who are you?' Nothing seems right, how can I trust you if I can't see who you are?"
MD got up and looked at this female cat-person. She slowly closed her eyes and reopened them. She saw the Angelic World as it truly is. People of an evil heart showed that by their figure replaced as a demon. Those of a good heart appeared normally, and those of a pure heart were replaced by their angelic selves. The cat was a mighty angel, clad in armor, wielding a cross sword and a cross shield. She looked hard at the face of her, she was as white as the moon.
"No sorcery now, I know counter spells." She held her sword out at MD. MD closed her eyes and reopened them, reverting back to normal vision.
"Sorcery is not allowed, but you can trust us. Right now I'd be willing to put my life in your hands, moon elf." She thanked God for planting this seed about a hundred years ago. Technically he did not interfere with this matter, he interfered before it happened.
"How do I know you aren't some demon trying to trick me?"
"You are able to cast counter spells right?"
"Yea."
"Then cast a truth spell."
"Hmmmm, I suppose you are right, but I warn you, don't attack me."
"No harm shall come to you."
Isaac turned to MD.
"Isn't that breaking one of God's laws? Sorcery."
"No, Sorcery is evil magic. This is a simple truth spell, it is an informational magic, but I have no clue as to how to cast one. That's why I'm leaving it in her hands. Isaac, she is an agent of God, just like you and I, she was meant to help us here. She is a Moon Elf Battle mage. She was taught to never trust anyone since she was born; the Moon Elves are locked in constant battle with the Sun Elves. Being in such a state of confusion as this I can see why she doesn't trust us."
"What is a Battle mage?"
"A Battle mage is just like my Father, a druid, but their spells are more offensive and they train more in combat, using a sword as a channeler instead of a staff. When trained well they can be very powerful."
