Procrastination
i'm procrastinating a few things at the moment and thought I'd pay you guys a visit. I'm running out of time though and I'm about to have to go and do those things in a while but until then, I' hanging here. So, does anyone like questions. The little random kind that help people figure out who you really are. I personally love those kinds of questions.
So, here's the question. What would you do if you knew you were going to die at 11p.m. tonight?
My answer at first was drive to the beach and sit on the ocean's edge and die but then after that I actually gave it thought. Sure the ocean is my favorite place in the world but I could make my last hours so much more meaningful. I thought for my second answer that I would write a letter to everyone I love. One letter per person. Just to tell them all the things I was too stupid to say before. Then my next answer (after a few more minutes of thought because I just spit the first two out there) was that i would go and find as many people as I could and tell them about Jesus.
Call me a pew jumper, crazy christian, whatever you want to except a jew. I'm not jewish. Jews and christians are a bit different. Anyway,I'm about to explain why I'm saying all of this. My point is that i believe Jesus died a horrible, grotesque , was separated from God for three days and rose on the third day. (yay for Easter!) And I haven't been sharing that with you guys like I should. I was procrastinating it.
But here's the catch to the whole question. Why not just go ahead and tell everyone you love them? Why not drive to the beach and watch the sun set? ( I was hoping I'd make it there before sunset) For you procrastinators that say "I'll accept God and Jesus tomorrow" why not do it today? This is one of those live your life free of regret for the good things you've done things. If your answer was I'd go and get drunk or high or something, I do not condone that! No! It was your choice but I'll go ahead and say that I don't support it.
But for those of you who said that they would like to tell people that they loved them, go and do it. Why hold that back? I just saw a quote that said "The best gift in life is to love and be loved" so go ahead and do it, love someone. Tell your parents you love them. Tell your friends you appreciate them. Procrastinating is okay but not in that kind of circumstance. (its not really good in any circumstance unless you're saving someone)
My challange is this; Be crazy and tell the people you love that you love them. Don't procrastinate. We are fragile and we never know when we can break.
