RaBu RaBu

I jumped into the car in tears as I waved goodbye to all that I had known for the last ten years. My friends, school, and the beautiful country side with it's humble simpilcity would wither away into no more than faint memories as the car pulled away from my former life. Images of farms and pastures flew by as the sky line of the cities approached. Maybe if I had know what the city had in store for me I might have been more egar to go.
"Wow! The buildings are so tall!" I exlaimed, pressing my nose against the window.
"Yeah, New York City is going to be amazing." Mom replied. "See? Aren't you glad that your father took the job offer? Now we get to live in a big city, it won't take so long just to get groceries anymore" She sighed. "And a new home means new friends." Friends... that word hit hard.
"I don't want to move!" I cried. "I miss my old friends! Dad why can't you get your old job back?"
"I'm sorry honey but we can't go back. Trust me, this is for the better. . Daddy is going to be working in a big building and make more money." My father answered adjusting his glasses. "It'll be allright." The city drew nearer and I felt worse. My mind trailed off and I remembered my last day of school. how my last day with my friends was. When they heard the news their eyes filled with disbelife and mine filled with tears. Everything in the car was silent for a long time until Dad announced that we had arrived at our new home.
Carefully placed in the middle of surburbia, our elegant victorian styled home shone beautifully in the warm sunlight. As I stared at it in awe I thought I saw someone looking back at me. When I told Mom she dissmissed it convinced that it was my imagination. I turned back at the window unsure of what to think, nobody was there this time. The sun faded behind dark clouds that moved in rather suddenly. It began to drizzle and my parents began rushing to get everything inside.
"Lylith! Come on and get inside, it's raining." Mom shouted as she ran past me.
"It's only raining a little bit!" A thunderous boom told me otherwise. I went in.
"Well, at least we didn't bring anything too heavy yet." Dad panted carrying in the last box. The rain lightened and soon ended. "That was a quick shower." Father handed me a couple boxes labled "Lylith's Stuff". "Here Lylith, you can pick your room first." I was shooed upstairs. Running upstairs I felt a cold rush run past me. The chill froze me in my place. Only momentarily though, after a few seconds my body thawed and I went back downstairs.
"Mom...dad?" I called. No answer. "How do you turn on the heater?" I listened for the response that would never come. I heard laughter behind me. Afraid, I ran upstairs . This time it wasn't cold. I dropped my boxes and ran into the nearest room. I huddled in the corner. "Mom? Dad? Where are you?" I screamed. The sound of the front door opening and shutting filled my ears. I opened my eyes and realized that I wasn't alone.

SORRY!!!!!! SOOOOOO! LONG! The next one will be a lot shorter I promise!
