so may as well add an update. got almost everything done. 1 Assignment to go which was supposed to be in yesterday but I got an extension. No way i could finish it without one. Recently been job hunting again, had 1 interview but no response so I don't think I got the job. Apart from that how is everyone else?

Well I guess I have to post this. Just got home from the Linken park concert that I know I've said nothing about but was tonight anyway. It was great fun and have Chris Cornell (audioslave/soundgarden lead singer) as the opening performer was also great. I'm now currently without a voice and with limited hearing but it was worth it. Wonder how I'll fair in the morning when I go to work.

so probably hasn't seemed like I've been around much due to lack of updates but I have. However this is likely to change over the next few weeks. Got my last 4 assignments, a presentation and a journal due within the next 3 weeks so I'm most likely going to be busy with them. I'll try to pop around when I can but can't be definite about that.

MANIFEST!!

So manifest 2007 is over for this year. Another year of good spending, good cosplay, and a all round good time. I'm actually posting this at 10:21pm on sunday so ignore what the post info says :P I guess my first thing is as soon as I upload the pictures I took of cosplayers I'll post the link to my photobucket page for all to see. May be a few days as I have an assignment to do due Friday. Was a great weekend and I may as well explain the highlights. First of course the cosplay. I had a friend dress up as Yuna from FFX-2 (costume only in the Japanese version though), another as Phoenix Wright and a friend of a friend dressed up as Freya (FFIX). Secondly is all the AMVs, especially the iron chef contest. Works kinda like the one on TV but instead of food, they're given clips from 3-4 anime + a special ingredient usually another anime. This year however the special ingredient was Naruto manga scans. Finally is the traders...spending money on great items :D I don't generally see a lot of anime when at the convention it's the other stuff that hooks me. Last thing is 2 of my friends entered the Hare Hare Yuki dance (ending of melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya) competition and won. so guess I owe you guys a poem

[Untitled] ((again :P)) The stars shine in the night sky, marking the traveler's path, like streetlights marking the road. But this is no city, there are no artificial lights. The stars are visible here, their light not diminished. But they are still overshadowed, though not to the point of non-existence. One object even more defined, the moon shines as brightly as ever, brighter than the stars but equally as beautiful and just as fascinating. Here there are two moons, one in the sky, a second on the lake. Both as calm as the other, staring in opposite directions. However the moon on the water has a blemish, a corpse floats across it's surface, a life less than remarkable. The night side is a thing of the country, this body, an outcast of the city. On this lake, the object of the city, in all it's horrific glory, is outlasted by the beauty of the night.

so I'm feeling quite content at the moment. Not sure why and I'm not sure if it's a good thing. Simply I'd have thought I'd be panicking right now. Got a presentation due tomorrow that I haven't started, 2 assignments due next week and an assignment the week after. And yet here I am feeling very content. Ended up getting a beer with a bunch of friends at uni today. Seemed strange since I haven't had a beer in over a year and there I was having one about 1:30 in the afternoon. Finally just over a week till manifest. YAY. plan on buying a bunch of anime merch/collectables :P

So still no poem. Probably won't be finished till after my assignments are done. Have 3 due next week and one due the week after. Anyway found out late last night that a friend of mine was in a car accident. She's unhurt, just a little bruised and apparently a little traumatized. Was kind of an awakening. Mainly since I don't want to see anything bad happen to my friends, but also because she's the one who I was going out with till about a month ago and I still have feelings for her. If anything bad had happened I really don't know what I'd be thinking. Thanks to Dark Desires and Blackwings for their comments on my last post. Anyway how is everyone else?
