Exam 3 - Theatre Studies Theory
Now at the rate this is going it may seem stupid for me to be writing about each of my exams but hey it allows me to get something done.
This exam showed the problem with giving marks to questions. The exam was short, only an hour and a half, and five questions. Now that may sound easy but what is likely to throw someone of is the marking scheme. I'd like to know how it is possible to give 90 marks to five questions? The last three years there have only been 50 marks. The problem is they say write according to the amount of marks given. So a question with 8 marks would be about half a page. They have gone and added more marks so that question is worth about 18 marks. There was even one worth 28.
O well. Tomorrow Literature. |

"The Race That Stops a Nation"
This is it. One of the biggest horse racing events in Australia, The Melbourne Cup. Now I don't quite understand why this particular race would stop a nation, but I do know that it stops the state.
Now anyway for those who live in Australia or at least on the same timezone here are my picks and my uncles pick. My uncle is an ex-jockey and has recommended Makybe Diva for the cup. I on the other hand have looked at other horses track records for 3200m and have picked both Media Puzzle and Upsetthym. |

Dreams
Now this is a strange thing to be thinking about but strange things seem to happen or come about via me.
Everyone knows that dreams are things that happen and others believe that they have a meaning. What is wierd though is that I haven't had a dream for two years and then three months ago I finally had another and then again last night.
Well still doesn't seem strange but in a sense it is not how often I dream but what is in those few dreams. In the first it has been the same dream where I'm out with my bestfriend and he gets hit by a car. The second dream is a bit strange. I'm out at a mall with my sister and I come across some of my friends now it starts to get weird when I'm waiting outside a shop for my sis when these same friends pass me by and suddenly pin me to the ground. The dream ends there.
It is all so strange to me. Comments? |

Exam 2 - English
Bloody three hour exam. I could come up with a number of expletives that describe how I feel about a three hour exam.
What is the point behind English as a subject in English speaking countries? I don't know if they have Italian classes in Italy or Indonesian classes in Indonesia, but if they do it doesn't seem like there is a point considering they speak that language.
Anyway four exams to go. Next up Theatre Studies written exam. |

Money, money, money
Why is that money seems to control our lives. I mean there was a stage in history where currency didn't exist but as soon as it began it took control of the world.
A saying goes: There are two certainties in life, death and taxes. The second certainty is linked with money and these two rule our lives right up until the other certainty comes about.
If it wasn't for the fact that money was so important than I wouldn't be splitting hairs trying to find a job. |

Exam 1 - Theatre Studies Monologue
This was probably the most fun exam that I get to do but it is also the most nerve racking. I thought it was going to be fairly easy but as soon as I entered the building my heart felt like it was going to be renched out of my chest. Now if that isn't nerves I don't know what is.
Entering the exam room didn't make me feel any better. What was good though was that the examiners were really friendly. My heart was racing the entire time but I think I went better than I had believed I would.
Upon exiting the room my heart was still racing. The problem was that my monologue had finished but it still took 10 minutes for me to calm down. Well, one down five to go. |

Religion
I'm not overly religious even though I am a Roman Catholic and have gone to a ctaholic school for the past 13 years. Though I am against religion I have come up with a theory to why religion exists separate to all that we need a belief crap.
Religion keeps order in society. Without religion the world would be covered in complete chaos as people would have nothing to be linked together by. In a sense religion has more power than any government. Without religion life would seem empty and meaningless.
Okay the only flaw with this theory that i know of is that religion has been the cause of much pain and suffering over the centuries but the Earth has never been brought into complete chaos.

Exams
With my final exams fast approaching it's a time when I'm going to be studying hard(or at least that's what my parents think). After each exam I'm going to express my opinion on the exam and the subject in general.
The subjects that I will be covering over the next few weeks are Theatre Studies(Monologue and Exam, both separate), English, Literature, Chemistry, and History Revolutions. These are the subjects according to Australian courses and I don't know what the equivalent would be for History and Theatre Studies in other countries. |

Works in progress
Recently I've started up a book where I'm putting down ideas for a few projects I'm working on. These works include my own fantasy story and two RPGs for Otakuboards. The Fantasy story has only got a prologue at the moment and if you want to check it out go to My First Story in OB Anthology.
The First of the RPGs is revolving around a war that ended up in the devision of heaven and thus the formation of hell. The two leaders of the armies are the angel Gabriel and Lucifer who tried to take power from God. See Fallen Angels Underground for more information.
The second RPG revolves around Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. This is still a work in the planning stage but at this point it is going to revolve around corrupt judges. In the sense of time progression it will occur directly after the game, but it has a long way to go. |

Last Day of School
The Last Day of Year 12. It's finally here for me and it is sweeettt! It's not like this will happen again and so I decided to spend it doing fun things. Here in Melbourne everyone goes out of their way to do stupid things. We have people throwing eggs, water balloons that are mixed with flower, squirting water pistols with almost anything in them, and in some extreme cases streaking through girls schools wearing only a G-string. Some schools even allow the kids to pick a theme a the students dress up according to that theme. It's great to see girls walking down the street in the skimpy costumes that they made. Any way, all I've got left of high school is five exams and that's it. It's SO GREAT! |
