swim against the mainstream
so i'm going vegan. tomorrow's a clean slate, meat free once i've digested most of it out of my system from days past. today i had pork and jalapeno tamales, and after watching 'meet your meat', i felt rather sich to the stomach.. at least i didn't eat any actual meat yesterday, though i did consume dairy products..

i've decided going vegan will not only preserve animal life on my part, but also be beneficial to my health -- and the planet.. did you know one of the main reasons our rainforests are depleting is due to the meat industries clearing land to raise cattle for slaughter? too bad i live in texas, such a meaty state in itslef.. well, i'm going to really try hard and keep up with the life of veggie.. i've been contemplating this for a while, and now i think i'm seriously going to take action..

who's to say what is and isn't art?
so i got banned for two weeks from deviant art because of some chain letter one of my friends on there had sent to me. another of my friends from there told me that someone must have reported me because only six out of a bajillion people who were sent/or had sent that chain letter were banned. and you know what?--the person that sent it to me wasn't even banned!! absolute nonsense..
though i've met a lot of sincerely nice people there, it still makes me just want to leave that place for good, for two reasons -- the perverts -- and the judgemental assholes.. and when i say judgemental -- i don't mean the people who critique my work on there -- i love having other artists' input on my work!! it's the fact that there are so many superficial people who think they have some right to judge the artist -- when they don't even know who they are!!

whew.. sorry, that needed to be done..

anyways, my intentions in making this post is to find another online art community from someone here at otaku -- i hope one of you happens to read this!! :D
