my story
ok it is called youkai and is not done but what do ou think.

Lindsey sighs as she sits bored at her desk. She looks from the story that she is supposed to be writing out the window. It was getting late and the story was no where close to being done. ‘If only my life was dull like everyone else’s then maybe I would have an imagination and could write this stupid story. Or it could just not have to be some bright fairytale. Stupid cheery teacher.’ Sighing again she start the story again. This was the third time she rewrote it and every time the main character seemed to die or the bad guy won. Her attention again drifts to the window. It was such a beautiful day and she had missed so much of it because of this story. She opened the window and let the breeze enter her room while it was still bright. “Focus,” she murmured to her self. She went back to writing. ‘This time I have to get it done. I can’t stand being here. I am just going to put down some mushy stuff that I know that Ms. Casey wants and be done with it.’ Scribbling quickly she write down a basic story line. Reading over it she decides that it would work fine. Grabbing a new sheet of paper she gives the story line some detail and gives it enough fluff that it looks good. Finally she gets done and writes really big at the bottom the end. “There all done,” she tells herself. Lindsey walks out of her room and heads outside. “Were do you think that you are going,” her mother calls from behind her. “Just for a walk,” Lindsey replies. “It’s to late for you to go out,” her mother says. “Dad would let me,” Lindsey says. “But I am not your father now am I,” her mother says. “Ok,” Lindsey says as she walks back upstairs to her room. Her mother goes back to the kitchen cursing her ex-husband under her breath. Back in her room Lindsey is now opening her window. ‘If she thinks that she can keep me in the house just because it is late she’s got another thing coming,’ Lindsey thinks to her self. Slowly and carefully she crawls out of the window onto the roof. Form there she slides to the tree closest to her. Lindsey quickly climbs down the tree and then runs for the forest. ‘ So the sun has gone down it is not like I don’t know how to take care of my self,’ she thinks. ‘I mean I did not live in this suburban hell all my life.’ Once she gets deep enough into the forest that no one can here her she yells for all she I worth. “I HATE THIS PLACE. WHY CAN’T I LIVE WITH DAD?” She continues to yell like that until she has vented all of her frustration. Finally when she is calm she starts to walk some more. She walks until she is tried and then she sits down against a nearby tree to rest. A pleasant breeze blow by. It stirs the leave in the trees and Lindsey sits peacefully listening to them rustle. She closes her eyes and totally relaxes. ‘It is not that bad here,’ she thinks to herself. ‘It can actually be very peaceful when no one is telling you what to do or messing with you.’ She sighs as the breeze stops blowing. She starts to stand as she realizes that the leaves are still making noise even with the air totally calm. She raises quickly and starts to walk off. ‘True I can take care of myself but there is no reason sticking around if I don’t have to,’ she thinks. She walks calmly back toward the town hoping that what ever was in the forest with her would just go away. But the sound seemed to be following her. ‘Stay calm she tells herself it can’t be anything that bad. It is probably just some punk from the school out thinking that he is going to have a story to tell his friends. Just let him try the story he will be telling is how the new girl beat him up,’ she thinks to herself. She tries to stay calm as she walks but the need to yell at whatever it was begins to over power her. Finally unable to stay calm she stops and turns around to face the noise. She looks around but sees nothing. She turns and starts to walk again but the rustling returns. “THAT’S IT,” she yells. “WHO EVER IS OUT THERE YOU BETTER SHOW YOURSELF NOW,” she continues. There is more rustling and then out of the trees comes laughter. Lindsey just suppresses a growl and walks off. ‘I was right,’ she tells herself, ‘just one of the boys from school.’ “You ask me to show myself and then you walk off,” says a voice from the trees. “Where are you manners,” asks the voice. Lindsey stops in her tracks and turns around. “You laugh at me and follow me in the shadows, then you dare ask me about manners,” Lindsey snaps at the voice. “True,” the voice answers but I never said I had manners, now did I,” retorts the voice. “Neither did I,” Lindsey says walking off again. She was not about to get into an argument with who ever this was. Again there was laughter in the trees. “No, I guess you didn’t,” the voices laughs. Lindsey just snorts and keeps walking. The voice laughs harder. Then all the sudden it stops and there is a soft thud form behind Lindsey. Curious and hoping that who ever it was that was laughing at her fell out of one of the trees Lindsey turns around. There by one of the trees stood a man. He was still too much in the shadows for Lindsey to make out too much of his features but just from what she could make out she could tell that he was really hot. The man walks closer to Lindsey. Lindsey just stands there stunned for a few seconds and the snaps out of it. She slowly backs off not wanting the man to get to close. The man laughs. “Are you scared of me,” he asks. “No, of course not but I still think it would be best if you kept your distance,” Lindsey responds. The man just laughs and continues to approach Lindsey. Lindsey backs up until she runs into a tree. ‘Shit,’ she thinks, ‘what have I gotten myself into.’ The man continues to approach. He stops just inches from Lindsey. A smile plays on his lips.
