vampire?" Ria pondered aloud while
spearing a meatball with her fork. To avoid the
usual crowded rowdy cafeteria and the stench of
mystery meat, Ria and company often ate on the
roof of the school.
"Because they're creatures of the night,
unholy scum, daughters and sons of Satan...
they have to be cool." Ash told her while
absently sketching in his notebook.
"But why? You never see a geek turned into a
vampire. I mean, with all of them out there
youd think there'd be at least
one."
"Maybe they only turn sexy people, I guess
dorks taste bad or something." Mark
supplied.
"Well, I guess that makes you safe doesn't
it?" Carson grinned.
"Oh shut up." Mark grumbled, spearing a
meatball.
"I want to see a dorky vampire," Ria
grumbled slightly.
"Speaking of vampires; do you guys want to get
some dusting in tonight?" Mark smiled,
ruffling Rias hair. "We can head towards
Hilltop."
Hilltop Park was a big make out place for the
students of Pine Wood Academy. Unfortunately it
was also a very popular vampire feeding
ground.
"I'm in." Ria shot up
immediately.
"I have nothing better to do," Carson
sighed.
"Why not?" Mark piped up.
"Might a well," His twin murmured
absently while sketching out a picture of a
half eaten meatball. "Someone needs to
keep the blond gorilla out of
trouble."
"Hey!" Mark snapped. "We look the
same!!!!"
"Thats what you think." Ash told him.
"So my house, at eight?" Mike offered.
They all nodded.
"Ah the life of a slayer..." Ash mused.
"Little sleep, no social life, crappy pay,
struggle for grades, no romance... and all for
what?"
"Honor, tradition, and respect," Mike
said.
"We do it to protect people who don't even
know we exist." Carson scowled. "I
still don't understand the secrecy
stuff."
"For the common good," Mike
corrected.
"Buffy makes it seem so easy..."
Ria sighed while giving Mike a meatball.
"It's not fair. Her hair never messes up
or anything."
"Thanks. Mike nodded. "She's pretty
hot."
"Yeah... they don't make slayers like that now
a day." Mark grinned foolishly. The other
guys nodded in agreement.
Ria gave them all a disapproving glare, quickly
wrapped up her lunch, then stormed down the
stairs.
"Men," She huffed. You might expect a
girl whose girl to guy friend ratio was 0:4 to
be used to it, but she still reserved the right
to angry (at their shallowness) every once in a
while...
