   Kiss From a Rose...

Mood: Ecstatic, yet tired... Music: None (my roommate is watching tv) Okay, so this weekend TOTALLY ROCKED MY SOCKS OFF!!! Friday night, we went straight to Daku's house. "Cloverfield" wasn't out in the local theatre, so we decided to go see it today at another theatre. Anyways, when we got to his house, his mom starts pulling out these tubs of costumes. She handed me a black dress with a blue cross stitched onto the front and it fit perfectly. Those are Daku's colors, and the cross is what is on his top tunic when he's fighting. Then his mom and little sister went to bed, and we sat up talking for a bit. I told him the full story of what happened between my last boyfriend and I. It was a little hard, but Daku made it easy after I finished. He kept apologizing for what the other guy did, and he told me that he loves me, and that nothing that has happened can change that. He also told me that if he ever meets Aaron, he'll most likely deck the flippin idiot. Okay, so then Saturday, we went to Ragnarok: Rags Or Not. That was the name of that SCA event. The theme was Vikings, which was awesome. I got a ton of pictures!! His mom was the Mistress of Children for the day, so, since it was somewhere around 25 degrees F all day, I stuck with his mom. I did tie a yellow ribbon around his arm as my favor, and I did get to see him fight. The fight I saw, he was up against a bladerunner (mercenary), and as Daku was bowing to honor the crowd and (especially) the one whose favor he sought (me), Lord Edward (aforementioned bladerunner) came up and smacked him on the butt with his axe!! The 2 of them knew each other, and they broke a lot of rules, and King Uther got onto them. Daku lost...Anyways, that afternoon I went to a class about runes. I learned how to write like the Vikings did, and Lady Signy finished her class way early, so neither of us had anything much to do, so she taught me how to make Celtic knots without erasing!! It really was an honor because Lady Signy is really renowned for her work in that area. Then that night, at court, King Uther called all the noobs up (there were 3 of us), and Daku escorted me up there. I received a token from King Uther and Queen Kenna, and King Uther even spoke directly to me!! Then Daku's mom got the Shepherd's Award (or something like that) for her work with the children, which was a real honor because that has only been awarded in this kingdom one other time. I've decided that I really like the SCA. What's even cooler is that you get to pick a name to fit the period. Daku's name is Aidan the Healer. I've decided that if I get to keep going and I have the chance to pick a name, I'd like to be Larien. After we got back to his house, the 2 of us stayed up until around 2 am talking. So today, he came in and woke me up around 8:30. What's funny is that I woke up as he was closing the door, and he had wanted to wake me up with a kiss...He told me that when he opened the door and saw me he thought I looked so peaceful and beautiful. We sat and talked for a bit, then I kicked him out so I could get ready for the day. We then sat and talked to his mom until about 11, and then left for the movies. We got our tickets, walked around the mall a bit, and went to the movie. "Cloverfield" is an effin SCARY movie!! I clung to him the whole time. I also nearly jumped into his lap at some points, and I had to close my eyes a couple times. I know it's improbable that something like that would happen, but the way the movie's filmed makes it seem like you're actually there...It's filmed on a regular digital camera. It made me feel a bit sick and dizzy. All in all, though, it was a pretty dang good movie. It was much better than "The Mist" at any rate. Anyways, afterwards we went back to his house because he needed to finish his laundry. We ate supper with his mom, watched America's Funniest Home Videos, and went and talked some more in the guest room. We left his house around 9 pm. Then, after we got back to the U of O, we went and talked to our friend Luna. She just came back to the school this weekend because of some academic probation problems. Oh!! And I also found out that my cousin had her baby!! It's a little girl. She weighed like 8 lbs or so!! My cousin and her husband have been trying to have a baby for a while, and the first one was a miscarriage... Well, I need to go to bed...Stay classy, Otakuites!!
