   The cold worm is in control now...

Okay, so I'm still more or less alive and after 3 days I came to the shocking realization that I was sick. Actually my dad had to tell me that after I thoroughly denied it.

My back, as read in the last post, has seen better days and thus at the moment I am not sitting, rather I am kneeling so I can make this update.

So what did I do this past week aside from nursing myself in this torrential cold weather?

Not much more than movie day after movie day upon movie day. Except for one day where I took a far part of the $100 I won last week for shopping and spent a grand total of $3 on a chocolate milkshake. Mmm.. money well spent I can tell you that ^_~

But since you're here, and since I haven't been I'll give you guys a treat and whilst I type randomly about any particular thoughts I happen to have I'll see if you can pay attention properly.

I found it interesting to note that a Ganguro is actually a very popular fashion trend in Japan, no doubt we would find it disturbing to see such creatures wandering down the street.
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
But when you think about it, what might they think of our fashion trends? They might actually find it shocking that people walk around in beach attire to attend school (at least that's how it is in NZ).

To us, dressing half naked in any weather is a testimate to the absurdity of the local culture. White people want to be tanned and what do they do? Lie in sun-beds and hang around in the ozoneless sun thus causing the rate of skin cancer to sky-rocket. Seriously, I'm not actually exaggerating as I normally do.
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Then there's people like myself, as I am not a white person and could more be aptly described as yellow in the same fashion. Basically I'm Chinese and being Chinese I actually want to look white >_> Honestly, I really dislike tanned skin and despite growing up in a society of white people craving sun toasted skin it hasn't really rubbed off onto me.
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
But of course, when it all comes down to it, we want to be attractive/popular/wanted/desire etc. etc because that little dude in our head wants a good reason to stick around. I would apply that same theory to the Japanese Ganguro or any fashionable Japanese fella since afterall, they're doing it to be cool and part of their clique.

You walk down the street and judge people on how they look and usually it does have a large bearing on whether or not you trust them or not. I guess it's just the really really really really really really "nice" people that will readily trust anyone but what am I talking about?
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Ah well.. I guess most importantly you should be happy with who you are, since no amount of face cake is going to change your brain functions.
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Of course it's always funny to think about yourself.

Personally, there are a few things that go through my head a lot and two of those things are:
One-What kind of person would I have been like had I been born a guy?
I surely would've turned out to be a real 8-ball because apparently egoism, pride and womanizer are all bad qualities in a guy.

Two-What if my parents had chosen back in 1988 (not too long after my birth) to move to Canada, Toronto rather than New Zealand, Auckland?

Hmm...

.....

.....

.....

I'd probably be richer and definitely a lot colder.

Changing schools, joining/unjoining clubs can be such life altering decisions. Strange how it never occurred to me what a big difference it would make to my life by being at MyO. Because here, it doesn't matter how old any of us are, the generation gap pretty much disappears.

What do you think? :P

   oooh.. day two or day four.. it's holiday.. whatever

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Okay, for those who didn't guess (which was everybody :P) who this guy is..??

His name is Steven Chow or Steven Chiao or Chow Sing Chi. Whichever tickles your fance, and well.. he tickles mine either way.

Aside from that I think I'm going to take a huge break from the internet. So yes, that will mean I might not be visiting as much as I could be.

Why?

Sitting here for hours in an effort to distract myself from my holiday homework has completely messed up my spine >_> Plainly put it hurts. From the top of my neck to my lower neck. Unless one of you here can give me a really good massage I think I'll go lie down and watch tv.

Ooooh and if you need me just scream at me to get my ass online or something along those lines.

   2002

Here I am about to give a quite possible review, or simply a random talk about it. I mean, I found the movie really good to begin with and it really isn't a good example of good quality HK movies however it does follow the usual formula of HK movies.

Anyway, to sum it up, 2002 is semi-futurisitic tale of a special department of the HK police force which keeps peace in the ghostly world. It is suppose to be the partnership between a man and a ghost but uh.. it does a feel good thing at the end so then both the guys live it gets a bit gooey.

Allow me to distract you!
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Oh look, Nicholas Tse and Sam Lee look so bad-ass. I could just watch this movie for the nice scenery ^_~

So yea, the guy on the right is your typical, I'm so alone because if I get too close to anyone my destiny will cause their death-blah-blah angst angst. On the left is going to be his new, very living partner that is green and also shares the ability to see ghost. The twist: he has to get over his fear of ghosts!! Which provides for some touching moments where he cowers, paralyzed in hillarious fear.
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
OMG! I'm in an elevator with the ghost of my dead partner!!

Yea, so the ghost on the right was the main dude's partner and accidently killed him when he was trying to shoot the bad guy holding him hostage. We later get a rather disturbing image of the ghost reincarnating via, man-swimming-up stream alongside the seed of men >_> if you get what I mean, if not then don't worry.
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Uh huh, so tough, policeman wearing leather and trench coats that make the fluttering noise excessively.
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Remember the ultra cool fluttering noise clothing makes? Their coats do that with the slightest movement. Therefore they must be better than uber-ultra cool if their coats flutter when they walk/sleep/talk/turn/stand.
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
They vanquish a sexy fire ghost and find her sexy water ghost boy friend isn't happy.
Image hosted by <br />
Photobucket.com
This is what happens to ghosts when their girl friend zaps their body in an effort to bring their cold dead, oxygen starved damaged braing back to life.

Oh yes, did I mention there was a lot of fight scenes? No? I'm sure you guessed it already.

Basically, this movie to me was eye-candy and cool fight scenes.

The highlight was seeing them run towards the camera in a very cool fashion down a randomly large hall way towards the next "ghostly crime". The best part of that highlight is that they must've done it about 3 times throughout the movie.

Next time, I think I'll stick to talking about my favourite Chinese actor. Now he...

I have to admit, I've quite liked this guy for as long as I can remember. Which actually makes him older than any person on MyO friends list.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to watch more movies starring this lovely person ^_^"

A big kiss to whomever can name him for me :P

   it's a short one

I'm feeling a bit lonesome at the moment (9:45pm) so I thought I'd share an anecdote.

Regarding the money I had won (see previous post). My teacher was asking me what I'd do with the cash and I'll just illustrate the conversation:
(ps, she has an American accent if that makes it easier.)

Ms.S: Sooo.. HH, what are you going to do with the money?
Me: Uh well--save it up >_>
Ms.S: What?!
Me: I find it agonizing to spend money.
Ms.S: Haha! I knew guys like you! *points accusingly*
Me: 0_o"
Ms.S: In fact *waves finger in my face* I dated guys like you!!
Me: 0_o" bu-but.. I'm NOT A GUY!! *scoots off*

And there we have it, my unneccessary recount of a random encounter where I was compared to the male species.. again.. NOT That I'm a tom-boy or anything as ludicrous as that.. I'm just, me.

Yes me.

Me is egotistical, patronizing, selfish and-cute-!! And probably a tad bit attention seeking. Afterall, I am here typing to mostly an audience of anonymous people in the hopes they might satisfy my existence with their comments.

Well?

Well???

COMMENT THEN!!!

And have a muffin on your way out ^__^ my treat.

   *squeals with squealing squealage*

Okay, okay.. *breath*

First off, apologies for not visiting lately and when I did visit today I couldn't flipping pancakes post my comment for some unknown reason. But I assure I visited!!!!

Now, my week has been one of inner peaceness and very peaceful.

Tuesday was a bit odd, my biology teacher looks at me and says, "congratulations on winning the competition", much to my bemusement I looked at her blankly. So she tries again, "didn't you win that bullying poster competition?"... *switch clicks in brain* that's whent it clicked, I had indeed drawn a poster to enter a competition to raise awareness about bullying however - I they didn't announce the winner because the organizer managed to injure themself and wasn't present at school.

So indeed.. did I win? Find out at the end of the post!!

Wednesday; I decided to stay home and finish up my research for my assessment today. The funny thing is today when I got to school and gave my teacher the "note" which said I was suffering from a migraine she was in disbelief that I was away. Apparently none of my teachers marked me absent aside from the one teacher who never marks the roll. It was bizarre.

And voila, here I am today on a Thursday evening with one day of school left to go. Then I have 2 weeks of holiday.

*huge grin*

And yes I did win the poster competition.

What did I win?

heh.. hehe.. heh *looks coyly*

one-hundred dollars.
$100
yi bai kwai.
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
The equivalent of 5 of these. And yes, I got it in cash.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
I am so happy I could dance!!
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Just so happy!!

Anyway, I hope you guys are having a lovely week. If not then chill out for a moment to find what you appreciate and use it towards finding inner peace.

And to think I'm not buddhist but here I am talking like one :P w00t

What brings you the closest to inner peace?

Mine, is having moments where I don't do anything stressful and chat with a friend. I must admit I've a real sucker lately for the company of a nice guys though. I like those types, they're so banter-able :P

   Health Day!!!! Yay!!!!!1

Ah, yes.. I always thought health classes were boring, but imagine an entire days worth of classes time tabled to learn about health stuff. And yes, it was compulsory or else they would take away our study period >_>

Gosh, the funniest part had to be seeing the lady demonstrate how to put a condom on a plastic model. It's a bit weird seeing it.. for the first time no less *scratches head* okay, I admit I giggled. But really.. it did look rather disturbing and the funnier part is that she had more than one. They were multi-cultural, there was a "white" one and a really really "dark" one. HAHAHAHA!!

*coughs embarassed* I can tell I'm going to have problems with physical intimacy in the future.

Aside from that delightful moment, the rest was rather tedious. It went from methamphetamine (how many of you can spell that word right?) a.k.a 'P'. To rape/sexual abuse with a poorly filmed video of a girl who got "raped" by her "bf" who thought she was "coming onto him" when she was too "drunk" to stand and it was "lame", (I mean really, your gf/bf has been drinking a lot that night and they ask to lie down in a quiet room, it's kinda obvious you stick around to look out for them not bloody think they want to sleep with you o___o").

Anyway, that was my day.

So any stories/thoughts you guys would like to share about health lessons?

Every sha-la-la-la-la, every wo-wo-wo.. still shines~~

Meh, I went to the old folk's home today to visit them and stuff.

I met this really sweet guy called Ray and he was so lovely. He was telling me how when he was 30 and finally realized he should do something with his life he dated a girl about his age for 4 years. However at the end of it she felt they didn't make any progress and wanted to work towards marriage but he couldn't afford to do so as it was during the time of the depression.

The story ends with him riding away on his bike never to see her again : /

Then he started telling me about how he met his wife a few years after that.....

Argh, then we ran out of time I never heard the end of that story. He is so nice. Old, but nice. As in 93 years old. It's kinda weird to be talking to a man so near the end of his life when mine is still in it's beginnings.

Anyway.. Who wants to see photos of Nathan King from the kick-ass rock band Zed?? EVERYONE!!1
okay, so there are like 100something photos, so I'm just picking and choosing a few ^_~

Here's Nathan King with the winner of best singer. He looks a bit old, but whatever.

He isn't old old. Just older. Oh well, he's still pretty damn famous!!!!! And you guys should go hear his music. A good song to hear is "Renegade Fighter". Wheeee....

   I remember now!

I was about to complain about the stupid rubber burn I got from the gym floor from badminton training yesterday.

OMG! I forgot how much sliding across the ground burns >_> It burns, it stings and it burns. Why did I take off the plaster? Why??

Yea, so what if I fell over playing badminton. I suck sometimes. Not always.

*glare*

Bring it on!! I'll wipe the courts with you!!

More of this is what I need.

Yup, that there is NZ$40. All green, and plasticy and not very paper money smelling.

I never knew just how difficult it can be to get oneself a j-o-b >_> I mean, this one place I went to said:

"Come back around Christmas, we'll be hiring then."

Stupid.

Incredibly stupid.

So yea, without more of this:
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
I'll probably have to stay in NZ to go to University, and it would suck.

So anyway, my week just feels so kooky I haven't been able to describe. Nor can I eloquently remember a single thing I had intended to type.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Oh oops, that slipped in again?

I'm just going to ask. How many of you keep a journal? Are you like me and keep 3 (including MyO)?

Yes, I have one I physically write all the horrible things I think about.

I have another web blog somewhere else for my IRL friends. And it's usually the ranting in an angry way place.

MyO, well.. you guys are here often enough. I don't rant angrily too often and hell, I don't even know what I'm doing here half the time.

Blargh.

   Hmm.. tomorrow the day after..

Well, obviously I didn't post yesterday as I had planned, I dunno.. I guess I had a slight problem getting on while my dad was using the phone line. That, and in conjuction with the oh-so addictive GC session I had with my brother to pass the time.

Ikaruga is one of those top scrolling, aircraft flying, bullets everywhere kind of games with the added twist of having the ability to absorb either the white or red bullets. Depending on which colour you yourself had consciously switched to. Of course, my brother spoils the fun by claiming it took up too much concentration for him to play more than 20 mins, eats a packet of chocolate and agrees to play F-Zero X. If anyone has every played F-Zero, you'd know it isn't a game for the slow-minded.

However, I do recall saying I'd post some pictures of the night lanterns.

PS. I am not, in any of the photos
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
It's a bird.
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Another bird. If you look carefully there are glowing heads in the bushes.
~~~~~~~~
Today was pretty cool though. We had the most kick-ass celebrity judge at the "talent show" a.k.a *coughs*westlake idol*coughs*
The 3 rock bands really quite sucked, maybe they wouldn't have sucked as much if the guitars were plugged in properly. Maybe they wouldn't have sucked so much if certain band members didn't fight and go home early. Maybe they wouldn't have sucked if they had simply more practice.
BigMaybe.
The winner was some girl who could sing Alicia Keys. Admittedly she was really good, but I didn't like the song >_>
Oh, and before I get totally off track. We had Nathan King from Zed, one of the most kick-ass rock bands out there, be our celebrity judge. I'm going to download the photos soon, sometime.. eventually..
Btw, Queen's "Bicycle Races" song owns.
