   yup melon is back!!
~melon~
(yea o yea shes up.. i was going to wake her up soon anyway but i didnt kno if u had anything planned.)
i woke up in my room and chero was by my side. I heard footsteps comeing up to my room and i saw ryou open the door. he saw i was awake and chero fell asleep, so he walked out quietly with a grin and closed my door.
i turned over on teh bed and hugged chero. i lifted chero onto my bed and covered her with my blankets.i could tll just by her face. i went downstairs and walked nextdoor to teh cafe. everyone tackled me and malachi started crying. i felt weird leaving chero there aslone but im sure shed know i was here.
"onnechan im so glad your okay" malachi said and as soon as she got off, ryou came up and embraced me so tight. i felt light drops on my shoulder and gently slid down my arms. ryou was crying? i hugged him back and after ryou stepped back and smiled, banira hugged me, lifted me up and spun me around. "melon-chan, your okay" he said in my ear. i smiled up at him and he kissed me.kasa grinned.
"im going to write a song about this whole experience now" she said raiseing a fist in teh air. Banira held me in his arms and laughed. kasa started singing some random lines put together, and it did sound good and it brighten up the moment. admist al this i noticed one person that sat in the back. champagne. she was kind of withdrawn and acted weird.she sat in teh back and didnt talked but when she saw me, she lit up a bit. "whats wrong ?" i asked. she shook her head. " nothing... im just glad to see your okay. these people here have known you longer, so i dont see why i should celebrate like you guys."
"nonsence" i said " you still know me and your happy to see me, now come on. hang out with us. your not going to get to know anyone better sitting back there. " i smiled, wrapped my arm around her neck, and dragged her out to the group. as everyone began getting happier, grayda burst through the doors and declared for champagne.
" wheres champagne?!" he exclaimed"where is she?!"
champagne sunk back and hid from him. i sortof understood why .. i mean only hwer second battle, her first was terrible, and its grayda. "why do you want to know!" pepper piped ( wow doublep's! and she hasne talked that mush)
"she changed teshi, shes different because of that girl!" he said.
i turned to her. " is that true?" i asked she shook her head again. "no! its not!" "what happened" i asked. she said nothing. grayda teleported behind her and wrapper his arm around her neck. "ill take her if you dont mind" he said and disappeared. this cant be good.

   habba doobee dabba-beat that
i walked in with chero to look at melon, but seeing how she still didnt wake up, i got nervous. malachi turned around and sobbed into cheros uniform and chero hugged her.
" she'll be okay lamato-kun (little sister)" chero said to her. i sighed and wlaked home. i still had that whole vision that teshi put in my head and i somewhat walked out of the cafe in a trance.

the next morning i walk into teh cafe and everyones still asleep. i looked at the clock and it turned out that i came in a bit early. i sat at a table and kiichiro walked up behind me.

"what happened in the courtyard champagne?" he asked me. when he asked that i thought he was talking about the amusement park.
"n-nothing" i stuttered.
"dont lie. i saw you fighting teshi in the courtyard accross teh street last night"
i shuddered "umm... wel... nothing" i counldnt keep lying to him but i couldnt tell the truth either... i guess chero and i both had our secrets. kiichiro sat beside me and held my hand. i blushed but i tried to hide it... it didnt work.
"champagne, i dont want to think that were here to exclue you, especially since your from america.were all here for you. gem, ni, pepper, kasa, chero everyone. were akk here for you and everyone understands what it feels like to just become a mew..." kiichiro said. the way he said it just completely left me speachless. i loved it. i sat there , bashfully staring in his beautiful brown eyes. i came back to reality when i heard footsteps coming towards us. i pulled my hand away from kiichiro-kun adn shoved it in my pocket.
malachi came out yawning and smiled at us. i figured chero left after i left but ryou and malachi stayed, for their sisters sake.
"melon-oneechan isnt awake yet. kiichiro-sama, im scared. will she be okay?" she asked. the sweet 7 and a half year old innocence in her voice reminded me of my little niece, yatoma. , but she was half malachi's age. kiichiro stood up and hugged malachi. " course she'll be okay malachi-chan" he said and hugged her.
ryou still slept in teh back in the chair next to melon. i turned to melon and looked at her. she was breathing! barely but it was an improvement. i dailed cheros number and texted her " chero! come here! i have great news! - black berry~"

i wait for meebo to load
i sat in the cafe with kiichiro, and everyone until someone woke up. Ginger slowly woke up with kasa and ni,while sasi, cheros robot, came in and told me only an alien alert. it was weird. why only me? well i understood i could handle one alien on my own. its not like there was a chimera. and besides. chero would want to be by her friends sides during this. I walked out of the cafe and found teshi waittin outside, witha feather sword in her hand."we have some unfinished business." she said
" no.. leave.. now!" i said
" tisk tisk. now why would i do that? fine. if u dont want to fight. its your funeral." she said chargin at me.
last minute i transforms and blocked her with my dart and dart holder.
"ah not you want to fight" she said and jumped back.
we fought for a long time and soon she feel to the ground. i charged after her and knocked her on her back.i had her at dart point until she grabbed my coller with my pendant and took control over my body. i stood there staring at her and she grabbed my head. "now youll see how i got stuck here" she said and her life flashed in front of me. i swore it had to be some kind of trick but something told me it wasnt. she showed me how her father,kisshu, died at the hands of his master and how she tried running away from deep blue after his soul got ripped out of aoyama and how he controlled her and threatened if she escaped, she'd die. I didn't know what any of it meant but as soon as i got control of my body, i dropped my weapon and fell back.
"what made you sho me that?" i asked, unaware of weither or not it all is real.
"because you arent just another mew. your different. i dont know what it is but something tells me i can trust you." she said and the look in her eyes was completely differnt than what it normally was. When chero came out after she saw i left, teshi was already gone, and i was already in my clothes sitting on the bench. it felt like i got hit by a truck. nothing made sence anymore.

   back


i checked all of thir pulses when chero pulled in a van with her dad, ryou and kiichiro-kun. tears fell from my face and i caouldnt believe it.. for some reason i felt i knew them in some kind of past life. i stumbpled over to kiichiro-kun and sobbed into his chest. i really didnt care at that point. he wrapped his arms around me and i closed me eyes. Chero walked up to me and rubbed my back whlie ryou and aoyama-sama lifted the mews into teh van. "itll be okay " chero told me, her voice cracking.

i nodded and got into teh van. it didnt seem right to cry when chero knew them more and was so strong and i cried, barely knowing them.

we returned to teh cafe and i carried malachi on my back whle ichigo-sama, aoyama-sama, ryou, kiichiro, chero, and shisunero carried everyone else. we walked into the backand luckily it was later in teh nigh so the cae wasnt open. i felt the dead weight on my back and and i couldnt handle ti. i gently placed malachi on the bed and i ran out of the cafe, still in mew form i didnt realize. i ran into the park and no one was around. a small glimpse of strretlight lit up the park around me and i changed back to normal and i sat on a bench. it was so cold, and the emotional strain was to much. i heard something walk behind me. i turned around and saw a shadow behind me. it was chero. she sat next to me with her make up smeared and hugged me, sobbing into my shoudler. i hugged her.

"this wasnt right. this shuldnt have been your fisrt battle as a mew." she told me after she calmed down. she explained to me what being a mew was all about and i explained to her why i broke down so easily. everything seemed better and we walked back to the cafe. i stayed over with chero and everyone. im sure that miki would understand. < yout turn sorry its short>

   okay finally

im running this from teh top of my head since i havent replies for a month

okay here i go

~champagne~
i helped cherop pull the ropes off her legs after the aliens vanished. i looked at shisunero and realized we were the only ones left. shisunero whimpered a little and nudged my arm.
"we have to get them to ryou"chero said
" chero its too mcuh. we wont be able to do anything" i kno i sounded pessimistic but, it really didnt look good for the mews.
"no!" she exclaimed " theyre going to make it! they have to!" tears began rolling down her eyes "ryou and kiichiro will kno what to do! they have to! we cant give up... "
i understood where she was coming from but what could ryou do?
"melon has saved me before, ive saved melon, weve all saved each other. being a mew means we have each others back!i dont know what they did in america or what youve been throught but my parents raised em to always have my friends back! " she began growling at me after she said that. i turned around, dropped my head. "i dont have parents" i told her . cheros growling stopped and her eyes turned back to teh gentle ice blue they were when she was a mew."o" thats all she said.. " i didnt kno.." there was a long pause between us and shisunero lifted us onto his back. chero sat ahead of me " lets go get ryou sune-kun ( her nick name for him) " i hopped off. " ill stay here and watch them and protect them incase the aliens came back. " chero nodded and took off to teh carfe with shisunero and i sat there with my dart case in my hads ( from my first design of champagne).

   emotional time
i drank the antidote and grinned. i knew they couldn't. but in the back of my mind i could hear chero crying and she told me not to drink it. well it might have just been the mosters playing tricks on me. i kept fighting with the others and i felt woozy. I didnt get it. i went to attack and i didnt even fully attack and i collapsed onto the ground. banira caught me and place me by a tree. I hugged him and saw little white dots everywhere around me. "i love you" i wispered to him and kissed his cheek. " i love you too melon" he replied. i had a feeling this was going to be the end for me. i closed my eyes and gently fell into a warm black abyss ....

~~ malachi's pov~~

i kept attacking my monster one by one. and each time i destroyed one, poison gas would explode out of it. i coughed a little adn drank the antidote. i kept fighting and i was a complete spaz. i didnt know what came over me. i was a spazz one minute and then i almost fainted. i turned and saw melon passed out on the tree, i got worried but i kept fighting. i trpped over myself and i swore i heard chero scream for me but i didnt see her or see any of the aliens.. i finally realized that this coulnt be right but before i had the chance to tell anyone , i fell to the ground, unable to fight and i blacked out, more than likely, like melon.

~~champagnes pov~~

this was my first realy battle and i couldnt fihgt it. antidote? chimera?? i didnt get it.. i just kept fighting without the antidote. i looked around and i saw melon and ehr little sister on the ground. i was sared that they died. i just kept fightin and the poison gas exploded in my face. for some reason, i was immune. kurosune jumped in front of me and lifted me off the ground. everyone was coughing and passing out and i was scared. i attacked from the air " ribbon champagne surround!!" i screamed and attacked the last of the monsters and i laned on the ground. no one moved... i looked around and i couldnt see chero.. stood there alone with melons fox and i just.. didnt move at all.. i assumed it was from the gas.. or the antidote...wait.. the antidote!! i looked around immediately and kurosune took of towards the fun house. " the fun house?" i followed him and i saw three aliens and chero. chero was tied up and she tried turning her head teh taller alien with the flowing silver hair yanked cheros head forward and made her focus on the moniter.
" got out of here champagne!! " she screamed.
" shut up" the guy alien said. " i am grayda." he said. i will say this.. he was quite charming.. but the big ears and the bad guy attitude tottaly turned me off. i went to punch him but he grabbed my hand and pulled me in. " your a cute little thing" he said and licked his lips. the other girl alien came behind me an d pulled on my orange ribbon on my choker and pulled me back. i twisted around and kicked her in the face. chero started crying and after sending the purple haired girl into the wall, i punched trhe taller one and in the stomach and kicked her face. she let go of cheros head and chero just stood there. she couldnt move and i didnt blame her. she saw all of her friends murdered. i stood there and dared grayda to make his move. " merodi! attack her!" the purple haired girl said. merodi stood up and strummed her harp and i dodged the silver attacking rays. i backed into a corner and didnt move. i was cornered. the purple haired alien pulled oput a feather and snapped it down. it turned into a blade and she vanished. i took a step forward and she appeared at my neck with the blade at my throat. i was done for unless someone did something . ( okay yea chero-chan.. melon and the others rnt dead... theyre just passed out... were good. ur turn)

   okay okay im sorry
hey guys sorry again,, i was grounded for a week so that took up a lot of time.. youd think that since i was grounded, id get something, but... i dont so its all improv..

chero ran out the door after work that day and i figured she ran off to kais again and to tell him about champagne but later than night with i was with banira, she texted me.
"he's mad at me "
i texted back " who kai? why what happened? -"
" i todl him that ryou kissed me. i think he's going to break up with me. im scared melon. "
i paused. i didnt know what to tell her except everything would be okay but if you want the honest answer, i didnt know.
"itll be okay. ill be there tonight. "
" okay thnx melon-chan."
i closed my phone and gently crawled from banira's sleeping arms. i pulled out my black skateboard from behind the bushes. where i always hide it, and headed towards cheros, which was 3 blocks down the street. it was 4 in the morning and still dark. this couldnt be good. i got a block away from her house and i see a house in her neighbor hood burst into flames and then i see a pink, white and blue flash and a human like chimera break out of the house. this couldnt be good. grayda, teshi, and merodi sat behind him, laughing at something i couldnt tell what. it didnt occur to me that it was chero, and her parents until i remembered cheros mother was a mew and her fathers secret. as soon as i rmemebered that, i transformed and helped them. when i got to the roof of the house across the street with chero, i saw that the aliens were laughing at cheros fear. i couldnt understand why until it saw what the chimera was like. it was.... kai...
" all the anger kai built up was the perfect ingredient for what we needed to make him a monster" grayda laughed.
"kai" chero murmured. aoyama-sama was enraged enough to attack but chero jumped in the way. " daddy, please dont" she said " ill handle him. Rainbow staff!!" she screamed and attacked him. kai dodged nad attacked her. a sudden burst of light got in the way and broke kai down before anyone got hurt. kasa jumped up to join us on the roof and kai shook his head. he looked at us and just sat there. i didnt understand, but after a while, i realized her started recognizing chero and her slowly turned back to normal. chero jumped down and caught him when he fell. ( i dont have anything for between here and the next day so its a time skip i guess)

chero sat at work, still depressed that kai was mad at her but at the last minute as i started walking towards her, kai walked in. i tunred to let them be and chero ignored him. i couldnt make out what they were saying because banira kinda swept me off my feet for that moment but i turned andsaw cheros face light up and kai left. she ran to me and told me that kai forgave her and apalogized for being a bitch. she forgave him
" melon im so happy" she said, hugging me. wel l thats good. everyones together and happy. especially champagne and kiichiro. he started talking to her and champagne nodded and smiled and kissed his cheek. i could see that this was definatly going somewhere ( awww... ur turn chero)

   hello!!!
champagne stood there still confused but greeted cheros family respectivly.

" i already like her" aoyama-sama said.
" would you like any tea champagne?" chero's mother offered. champagne was still left in shock but refused.
" i'd perfer to get things straightened out first, chero whats going on?"
" okay well theres this things that melon's brother is in charge of called the mew project... and-" chero was interuppted.
"and you have to protect the world from these creatures called chimeras" ichigo-san said
chamapgnes eye widened to as wide as i have ever seen.
okay maybe that wasnt the easiest was to explain it to her. no wonder chero is so ditzy. she gets it from her mother. champagne had a lot more to worry about. college, dance, softball, and being from america i could understand it was a lot to handle.
i tried explaining it to cheros parents before ichigo-san went further into detail.
"you see, well , a pheonix chimera attacked us and we transformed and -" i started
" and suddenly champagne was wrapped in this orange and yellow glitter a ribbon and then she reappeared in a nice yellow skirt like thing and a yellow strapless belly top with an orange bow and black braclets and... and... and.. she yelled out 'champagne darts!!!' and this was so cool, she held her hands out forward and gripped the darts between her fingers and she jumped in the air and crossed her arms and spun around and started diving headfirst and we thought she was going to hit the ground but then she front flipped forward and snapped the darts out of her fingers and she yelled ' ribbon champagne surround!!' and she snapped the darts out of her hands and yanked the strings back and they wrapped around and struck the chimera and pulled the strings back after she shot the chimera!! mom dad it was so cool!!" chero went on ( i kno i said blue dress but i edited up and it lookes better than i planned and chero rambling on and on was the best way i could i could describe how she looked and what her attack was lol sorry about that) i was surprised chero said all that in one breath. amazing... she siezes to surprised me. after we explained everything that happened, chero had a lecture from her parents about her attitude but i was sure they were more concered about getting champagne at the cafe to explain things.

we left her house and walked to the cafe. i skated there and champagne gripped her sketchbook. i introduced her to gam, ni, pepper, ginger, malachi, and my boyfriend banira. we waited for kasa to get back from her tour but it took longer than we thought. ryou waled out to yell at us for not working but as soon as his eyes met champagnes, everything seemed to disappear for him, unless he was being a flirt again. he walked up to champagne and took her hand.
" hi im shirogone ryou. melon-chans older brother." he said. " what is this young lady doing here?" ryou asked.
" why do you think?" i cocked back at him. i was still a little upset for getting chero in the middle of this. " shes a kinkajou. a brown lemur type animal from the rainforest." since the mew project, ive been doing my research on the endangered species.
" o well then. welcome to the mew project" ryou became suddenly professional. " ill get you a uniform. " kiichiro walked in as ryou walked you and when both of their eyes met, all of her worries disappeared in an instant. kiichiro smiled and for the first time in all the times hes been working here, he blushed. kiichiro blushed. champagne smiled and didnt want to admit it , but i knew she had feelings for him. as soon as this happened... i knew something bad was coming.

she had a good point... im sure it would be akwardis that happened to me. i didnt exspect him to kiss chero... this was just... wow.
" cher, i dont know in all honesty. i know he was a flirt but i didnt think he would go this far."
chero stood looking at me for more advice " thats it?" she said.
" thats all i got im sorry"
" GAH!!!! MAN IM CAUGHT BETWEEN A ROCK AND A HARD PLACE HERE MELON CHAN!!!! YOU HAVE TO HELP ME!!"
" try avoiding him maybe and we'll see how that works i guess... it should blow over eventually"
" alright melon, im trusting you here "
i kinda hoped that it would work because i was more convinced that with Gem and Ni's big mouths that it would be forever before this thing blows over. i shook my black skater pants and siled while i pulled out my chained wallet.
" here, chero how about we go to the mall for a bit and forget the whole thing... for now"
" alright.. i guess" she said. she really had no hope for the situation.

we finally reached the mall after a while and chero continues sulking through the dresses in Deb. Geez it was kind of worthless. I grabbed a dress that shed probably would like and i showed it to her. " You like it?"
Finally her eye lit up and she yanked the dress out if my hands. It was a sparkling baby blue halter summer dress with glitter around the trim. purple glitter made flowers around the bottom. she ran in the dressing room and tried it on. it was georgous on her. " i luv it!! please melon-chan?" she begged
i smiled and nodded. i pulled out the money and paid for it and we walked out. we walked outside and saw a young girl, probably about 15 years old, short red hair, black bangs, sitting on the curb drawing a wonderful picture of an angel. i walked up to her and smiled. " hi im melon" "and im chero!" chero perked. she smiled back at us. " hi im champagne asuri. nice to meet you." she held her sketch book on her lap and bowed in respect and shook our hand.
i took her hand and shook it too. when i saw the top of her hand, it looked like she had a mew sign on it.
" i like your tattoo" i commented.
" o its not a tattoo its my birthmark. i thought it was cool because it looks like a treble cleft. im sorry im really into music and art."
she was a little timid but very friendly. all 3 of us started little small talk and got to know each other " so do you play any instuments?" chero asked . " yea i play a flute. i used to be in my high school band. we've been to state and got a 1 for 28 years."
chero and looked at each other lost. " whats state? whats a 1? wouldnt it be best to get a 5??"
we later found out she was from america and state is like a providence or a large city with many different cities inside it. she explained that getting a one was supirior for the band. she didnt understand why it was like that either. she had a boyfriend named tyler and she keeps in touch with him everyday and misses him a lot. " i bet" chero said " i couldnt live without kai for a single minute."
"kai is your boyfriend?" she asked. chero nodded.
" well for being from america, you've piccked up on our language and lost your accent quite well."
" thank you"
we continues walking down the street back to the cafe and akio jumped into my shoulder.
" aw isnt he cute." champagne commented " hes a fox?"
i needed and stoked akios head.
before we reached the cafe a large flame bird flew ahead of us and attacked champagne. akio growled letting us know that it was a chimera. . chero and i transformed and tried attacking the bird but it didnt work. there was nothing we could do...
suddenly , out of no where, champagne transformed into a mew. a creme white dress fell over her body and red boot with chains wrapped around them twisted around her feet.
" what the-- whats this?" she asked

eh...
after realizing that chero quit i was heart broken..
she was the only friend ive ever kinda been closer since this project started. i waited till late to call her.

after work i called kera phone. it ramg..... anf rang... and rang.... finally she picked up.
"hello?"
" chero? its melon... everything okay?" i asked while i held her tiger stiped uniform... to her surprise... ryou did care about her... he cared about all of us and helps all the uniforms of he mews...ichigo's, lettuce's, tatsuku, all of them.
"yea, everythings okay..."she said in her quiet squeaky voice.
" we al iss you chero. its quiet without you there."
we both got a iittle laugh about that.
"i miss you yoo"
"even ryou..."
there was a long pause and for a second i though that she hung up on me. or at leas until i heard kai lagh at something on the tv in the backgropund.
" chero he doest want to admi it but he does miss you deary..."
chero still didnt exactly respond. just a long breath on the other end.
" chero he cares about you.. a lot...he just doesnt like to admit it."
" yea im sure" she sarcastically said
" aoyama chero. do you seriously think id lie about thins?"
" i dont know actually meon.. it might just be because you want me back in the cafe... but the way he reacted... i dont trust him..."
" chero ill talk to him and stop by the cafe tomorrow. ill proveit"
" well fine" she said. he said our goodbyes and hung up. i walked down stairs and saw ryou at the stairs. " we need to talk melon" he said. really..." i said.
we alkedoutside and he explained everything to me. "melon, im in love with chero and i dont wanter her hurt like ichigo. "

the next day chero stopped into teh cafe and walked up to the desk. ni hugeed chero andmalachi smiled... everyone was happy and content..she walked up to ryou and looked down." im sorry"
" i thought you werent showing your face again?" he said with his back turned to her.
" rou, im sorry i made a mistake... i dont undersand y your so mad at me though." chero said. ryou said nothing." well im osrry anyway" she said and turned around and walked away. ryou grabed her arm and pulled her into his arm.chero blushed. especiall when he leaned in to kis her , i thought it was a smige funny, he was alwyas a flirt. chero sat in shock. i could tell by rht reaction... she was thinking " did he ust kiss me??
