Start: 3:55 PM CST Hi all! I guess I'm happy, and in a way, I'm not. The good new is, I just got an e-mail, from my adorable Korean friend, Courtney, who I haven't seen in months! (Yay!) Bad news is, I'm bored. I woke up at 8 AM. My brother and my mom had to go sign him up for school. In his school, school starts at 6 AM and ends at 8 PM. Yup, EIGHT PM. But that's not bad. I used to get home at 9 PM. Oh yeah. His school starts at August 4, or something. So when they left, I decided to make bacon sushi! (What was I thinking???) It turned out pretty good. A li'l salty with sweet. Yum. ^^ After 2 PM, I went on the computer and played around with HTML effects. I found some pretty cool ones, but some didn't work... Now I'm here. Curse my Internet! I was doing a anti-virus cleaning thing plus typing up my post, and my Internet shut off!!! So I gotta type this over... Well, I just drew all today. I woke up around 8 AM and went on the computer. But my sister got angry and kicked me off, and my mom needed to use the printer. I wanted to practice my color shading skills on my anime drawings. Luckily, I found my brother's old school supplies! I took his coloring pencils, sharpened them, and started coloring. (Must show them to you.) Then I went into the kitchen and ate some leftover chocolate cake with almonds and strawberries with my sister... Yum... And then I went back to drawing. Ya know, a few weeks ago and such, some people said "if your drawings were to be rated on a 1-10 scale, it'd be a -100 (negative 100)!!! That hurt me... Is that true??? Well, I'm gonna show you some pictures I drew. Please rate them on a 1-10 scale, please? #1. I drew this a few months ago. #2. This was the one I was working on yesterday and today. The colorful one. XP (I messed up on some people, but I colored them anyways...) I think the best one is the guy. ^^ Well, that's all. I hope you guys don't really think this is negative 100 work material... I'm sorry I haven't been visiting some of you. I've been busy with 3 fan fictions, and 43 drawings. Yup, that's what I mean by "under a lot of pressure". It all started as simple fun, but now, it's becoming a priority... o_O!!! Argh, I'm just busying myself up, huh? Well, in other words, my GameCube broke. But wait, you think I should've known that? It broke on the Fourth of July. (July 4), but now it's July 18. Man, I need to buy another adapter. Man, this is the second adapter I bought, and it broke after one month!!! I hate those game parts that aren't created by the original creators... (Like you might've seen XBox or PS2 controllers with fancy-looking styles, but it's not actually created by the same company who made the system? They're crappy... T_T They break more fast than the originals...) Or is it just me? Well, guess what? My cousin's probably not coming! Wah... I wonder what I should do with those two cakes? Wanna know what litoazndreamer said? She said I got too tall. ^^;; (In one month during the summer, I sprouted up 3-5 inches. XP) I figured that out when I went to Alaina's house. Alaina hated me because I got taller than her. (We used to be the same height...sorta, but now, her height only reaches the height of my nose. ^^;;) Hong says she blames my taller height because of my cooking. (I've been cooking a lot lately... I'm practically tired right now, but I'll try to type... *yawns* I woke up around 9 AM, and we went to church at 11 AM. After mass, my mom signed all of us up for Thieu Nhi, Viet Ngu, and Giao Ly. Ah, my older brother started pouting! You see, he's been failing all of those classes for seven years! (And he's still in grade 1! Well, actually he's in grade 2, but that's only because my mom convinced the principal to move him up. T_T) He says he fails them on purpose just so he can get out of class... (I don't believe him. Stupid.) And going to this "school" costs money, and what a WASTE. While my mom was signing papers, me and my sister started drawing on the marker board. Little kids liked our drawings, but they started scribbling on it. ^^;; So we went to go eat some Viet sandwiches. But we had a hard time choosing what drinks we wanted... @_@ (My brother didn't want to eat 'cause he was angry about mom signing him up for Viet school.) Then we went shopping at H-E-B... (My brother stayed in the car 'cause he's still mad my mom put him in Viet school... WHAT DOES HE HAVE AGAINST HIS OWN PEOPLE?!?! He has it against Viet, against Chinese, what else?!?!) Well, it started to rain REALLY HARD! So it took a while to get home. I ran to the van early. Guess what my mom did. She waited in the grocery store until the storm was over. ^^;; Then we went home, put our groceries up, and did stuff. My brother ATE A LOT! (And he said he was not hungry... T_T...) Then I did other stuff. Hey, I have an idea for a fan fiction, but I'm not so sure. Want me to tell you about the main plot? The Plot: It's about a little eight-year-old Chinese girl whose parents died and she became an orphan. One day, she got adopted by a family, but in America. So basically the story is about a little girl living in a new country and dealing with...stuff. (Err... I'll read you the story out later.) Man, reading this will make you kinda depressed... (All my stories do! Just ask Alaina!!! Well, I'll have to start on it. And yet, I gotta start on my drawings... SO CONFUSED! I'm back, and it's been fun today. So now I shall explain. I woke up around 8:30 AM, earlier than I usually did, and started cooking. Chocolate cakes, Cantonese sweet breads, etc. Wanna know why? Yesterday, my aunt told me my cousin (from California) was gonna be visiting. TODAY! You don't tell someone they're gonna be visiting a few hours they get off the plane!!! So I started to clean, and today, I cooked. So, when it reached noon, we left to go to an amusement park/building. It was really fun, lots of fun I had in a long time. I think this is silly. You could play almost everything free if you stamped your hand on a card and took a shot. All right... So I did it. My sister and brother didn't, but they still got to play. I hated all the rides, and I saw these three Asian kids (one guy, two girls) playing DDR. I got really excited. I dragged my sister into it, although she didn't want to... When we got to the DDR stand, we saw the other kids were doing "Heavy"... @_@!!! Eh, my sister and I did "Beginner"... Hehe (You can't blame us...) Besides, it was my sister's first time playing DDR. We easily got hooked right away!!! ^^;; We spent a lot of money, which is $6. (Not a lot, but that let us each play 15 games, so that's 30 stages combines.) HEHE GUESS WHAT?!?! US PLAYING REALLY ATTRACTED A LARGE CROWD!!! (And we're only "Beginner"!! XP) We played Butterfly, Japan, Tsugaru, Frozen Ice, etc. SO FUN!!! Oh yeah. They're hosting a DDR tournament in there in August. If you win, you get $10,000 (ten thousand dollars). Ah, I wish, but I'm so inexperienced! Wah... So it reached 3 PM and we went home. (I wanted to ride the ferris wheel!) But before we went home, we stopped by a furniture store. -_- There was Hispanic music blaring outside the store. (Must be some concert.) Well, we didn't find anything there we wanted, so we went home. Going home, we talked about how my brother was cheap. (He'd rather keep this money and save it besides using it to eat.) I swear, if you give my brother $100 for one week to take care of himself, he'd rather keep the $100 and starve!!! Gah! Ok, so when I came home, I finished my cooking. (Some of it needed to sit.) Then I realized my cousin wasn't coming today!!! (ARGH! A DAY OVER A STOVE AND HE'S NOT COMING?!?!) Oh well. I finished it anyways. Then my mom used my cell phone to talk to her friends... (Why mines?) So I finished the Cantonese sweet bread drizzled with chocolate and the chocolate cake with chocolate icing. (I'll save the cakes for tomorrow.) Now I'm here. I wonder what I should do... Ah yea!!! MUST CORRECT SOMETHING: From Yesterday's Post: Otemba: So instead ur goin' to be eatin' pot plants instead of food. lol... When did I ever say I was gonna eat plants from pots??? All I said was that we went into the store to buy pots for potting plants! (...) litoazndreamer: whats bonsais? and whats a mojo? XD A bonsai is a miniature tree. Mojo is just another word for "karma", or "luck". When I said I got my mojo back, I meant I now have the inspiration to draw again. I should start where I left off from yesterday: Yesterday: Around 9, my sister went downstairs and made strawberry smoothies! Yum! Then I got bored, so I tried to make some Cantonese sweet bread. (Dunno exact name.) They didn't come out so good. Don't get me wrong, they tasted good! They were just...misshappen...and...small. Ah, I classify this as a messed-up cooked food. ^^;; When I make anything Cantonese, I'm pretty much scared. First of all, you pretty much gotta cook fast, and you use lots of oil. And I'm afraid of oil!!! Today: I woke up aroun 10 AM. Then my mom drove me and my sister to the orthodontist. She tried to take a shortcut, but it didn't work, so she took the long route. When we got there, they attached an expander to my mouth! (My old orthodontist should've done that a long time ago.) Now I can't swallow well, talk well, or etc. My sister needs braces, but in fact, she has the straighest teeth out of everyone in the family! Except mom... After that, we bought sandwiches. I ate some, but it was hard to swallow. My mom went shopping. It took about over an hour, but when she came back, all she bought were plant pots! Some of them broke, so she returned them, and came back. T_T Then she went to the bank, and we came home. After carrying all the pots into the house, I got on the computer, and went on MyOtaku. I tried to make a video game again, but I was scared. A small video game takes up to 3 months! (If you make a 3-D multiplayer game, it'll take up almost a year.) Then my sister and I went to go look up bonsai info on the Internet. I found all these cool looking bonsais. I found this cool looking cherry blossom tree bonsai. Hmm... I wonder if I can make my own... I used to have balloon trees, foxgloves, etc. in my backyard, but I don't live there anymore. I could've made so many bonsais with those! In my new house, there aren't any trees except stupid small oaks trees. But those are in the front! No trees in the backyard. Oh yeah. I talked to my parents about making a lotus pond in the backyard. I hope they say yes. ^^ (I asked that a few days ago, not today.) And now I'm here. Man, I'm so bored. And now I'll go. The day started off as usual. I woke up around 11 PM. I had to clean up some rice in the kitchen. (My mom spilt it.) Then I started writing my Chinese calligraphy. My mom gave me her old calligraphy set. But she said don't add water. She said to add white wine. (I told her she was expensive. XP) But it's true! If you use calligraphy ink, it's better to mix wine than water. It comes out better. In the end, we ended up using alcohol. (It still works the same. ^^) Then I went to go use the computer at noon. When I got in, I got bored, so I went to "how to make computer games" on the search engine on yahoo.com. I found a site where it taught you how to make games. It looked fun, so I downloaded it. When I started the program, I realized I was confused, 'cause in order to make games, you need to know Java programming and C++. I have no idea how to do that, but I bet KitsuneTsuki did. I messed around with it, and then I deleted it. (No sense using it if I dunno how to...) Oh yeah. I found this EVIL online RPG game that kills POKEMON!!! I thought it was mean! You go around as a person with a gun, shooting innocent Pokemon around. THAT'S SO EVIL!!! (What kind of freak would make a game like that?) Then I changed my theme. It's Pokemon 2000. Do you like it? I think it's all right, but you can't see the hibiscus flowers at the bottom of the background... Um, here's a survey: 1. Have you ever attempted to make a video game? 2. I'm sorry I didn't post yesterday, but I went to go visit my old town and I stayed over there and slept. So I'll start with yesterday: Tuesday, July 12, 2005 Well, I woke up in the morning around 8 to start the trip. My dad left something at home, so we had to go bring it to him. It was a long trip. When I was passing the Pasadena area, it started to rain like heck! (Wait, heck has no rain...) Now I see what Otemba meant. It was the same thing when going across Liberty county. When we got there, we went down to the port and gave my stuff to my dad. Then we went to go eat at Burger King. As I was eating, I called Alaina to tell her that I'd be there in a few minutes... While eating, I was teaching my little sister to write Chinese. (She needs to learn! ^^;;) Anyways, when I got there, I was so excited! It's been over one month since I left this city, and I couldn't wait to see my old friends. My sister came along too. ^^ When we got in, we were greeted by Alaina's peppy dog squad. XP My sister was surprised. (First time there.) I saw the remodeling. So purple! ^^ Alexis was there too. (That must mean her grandpa's not out of the hospital yet.) For people who don't know, my friend Alexis', or blackcatcurse's, grandpa had a stroke about a week ago. He's in the hospital right now... So inside Alaina's room, we first played Kung Fu Chaos, which Alaina rented. It was fun! ^^ And the graphics were so cute! (The director's funny, but has some problems... T_T) Then we played DDR! It's been a long time... Sigh. (We even got to play 4-player DDR! Arrows so small! @_@) Diana showed her drawings to Alexis. Alexis commented that my sister's drawings were better than me. (Cries) After that, we went into the living room and watched anime and music videos. Her mom really wanted me to leave. At first, I dunno why. But I found out later. Her dad was coming home tomorrow (Which is today.) and she was tired from redecorating. I yelled at my parents to pick me up BADLY. (My mom and brother were at the dentist, getting his teeth cleaned.) Guess what? They came about ONE HOUR AND A HALF they were supposed to pick me up. T_T I apologized, and left. Oh yeah. My mom bought me a bonsai tree. (I need to get a new once, since my mom painted my old one green to make it look alive. T_T Then my dad put it in a box when we were moving...) YOU DON'T PUT LIVING PLANTS IN A MOVING BOX!!! Anyways: We picked up my dad at his boat and went to go eat Grand Buffet. I started to pig out on sushi! ^^ But then, they started talking about me. (As most Asian families do...) As soon as they did that, I lost my appetite. We slept at my dad's boat. It was fun...sorta. We had to climb over boats, and my sister and I shared the same bed. ^^ (It was freezing in the room. We got my dad's room, Captain's room! Hehe) Well, I couldn't sleep since my parents and brother were watching Viet and Chinese movies. Argh, my annoying's brother is so annoying! It's like Woody Woodpecker's laugh, only worser. Today! I woke up earlier than usual, around 7, but then went back to sleep. My mom and brother went shopping, and my dad needed to do stuff on his boat. So my sister just ate candy... And we played foot games. T_T (VIOLENCE OF THE FEET: RATED "R"!!!) LOL! I'm just playing with ya. XP My mom came around noon, and we left. (We passed by Alaina's house!) We ate Burger King to go, my mom went to a hair store to get hair coloring, and we left. On our way back, IT STARTED TO POUR RAIN!!! YES! ALL THE HIGHWAYS WERE FLOODED! IT WAS FOGGY! I SAW SOME LIGHTNING! Flood plus fog plus lightning equals NO GOOD. Argh, my mom lost the way. Seems like she took a wrong turn. And believe me, when you get lost in Houston, it's hard to find your way out. (Sometimes...) Well, we got home, and I put my bonsai in my room! ^^ But SOME IDIOT HOT-GLUED ALL THE ROCKS TOGETHER!!! Who hot-glues the rocks in the bonsai tree together? How am I supposed to add fertilizer, etc.??? Ah, idiots. And now, I'm here. Well, I'm gonna go draw. My friend sent it to me. WHAT THE HELL IS IT SAYING?!?! GAH! And now back to your regularly scheduled program: I woke up in the morning around 9 AM and took a shower. Around 10-11 AM, I went into the kitchen to start making sushi. (I made 4 rolls, which should be about 32 sushi pieces. o_O;;) It was duck sushi! By that time, it was already 2 PM. (This time, I had no help.) Oh yeah! My mom told me we're going back to P.A. tomorrow just to visit! (And to give something to my dad he forgot to bring. And my brother needs to get his teeth cleaned.) Anyways: After making sushi, my mom planned a out-of-nowhere appointment for my braces. So around 2 PM, I went to the orthodontist. (Located in the middle of Bellaire, close to Hong Kong Mall 4.) Everyone there was Asian... It was the same. I went in, they checked my braces. But guess what? They took off half of my braces! YAY!!! HOORAY! (You see, in braces, there are three parts that I know of. Brackets, rubber bands, and wires. The rubber bands and wires were removed.) Now why did they do that? No, they're not crazy...or idiots...or mentally retarded. T_T (So stop thinking that!) Right now, they're concerned with the health of my teeth. ('Cause when you have braces, it's hard to brush. Sorta.) After that, they needed to make a mold of my mouth. (I think it's either for a retainer or a expander. Wait, it's expander.) Yeah, it's expander. 'Cause at my old orthodontist, they never gave me one, so they're gonna do it. Ah, just one more year! (CLAP!) Hehe But my brother went OVER the limit, so he has to keep his braces for three years. (Man, that's sad...) Hehe Wanna hear something? When the orthodontist's helper was making the mold, it got stuck to my mouth. (She forgot to add water!) Also, my brackets were still there. (When you make a mold, you usually don't have the brackets.) So it was stuck in my mouth for about...I don't know...15 minutes. (Yucky taste.) After that, the orthodontist said that I needed my teeth clean, so we went to the dentist down the street. There, I got my braces cleaned. My mom was talking to a Filipino man who knew Viet, and she was talking about how I didn't know Vietnamese or blah. (Are all Asian families like that? Talking bad about their children? Yeah, I guess so.) Anyways, it upset me. I had to fill out all the papers. T_T And then I went inside. Where I got my teeth cleaned for, I dunno, 1/4 an hour. Water, drills, etc. T_T After that, we went to the front desk. That's where one of the nurses and my mom were fighting over a cay mai (I think it was a peach blossom orchid...). The nurse kept saying it's a real tree! My mom kept saying it was fake! In the end, my mom won.... Eh... (HAVING A FIGHT OVER IF A TREE IS REAL OR NOT?!?!) Then we went shopping and came home. (Mom took a different route. @_@) When I came home, ALMOST ALL THE SUSHI WAS GONE. Out the 32 pieces I made, only 7 were left. (Cries) Oh well. I ate the rest with my sister, and I had some leftover duck! (DUCK!!!) ...What's wrong with me? Oh well. It's nice to have half of my braces off. I can now rub my teeth with my tongue without getting cut. XP (I'm weird...) TRICK QUESTION!: 1. I build a house. All the sides of the house are facing north. A bear passes by. It's Sunday! (Guess you already know that. XP) So let's begin! In the morning, I woke up around 8 AM, took a shower, and went to church. Church was all right. After that, my mom bought food and we went on our way. Our parents decided to go to Hong Kong Mall 4. (Located on Bellaire. ^^) My mom bought some food like duck and sandwiches, and me and my sister went to go buy boba drinks. (They're also called "tapioca drinks", "black pearl drinks", "bubble tea", etc. GAH! SO MANY NAMES FOR JUST ONE DRINK!!!) Just when I came back, my parents had left me. So my sister and I decided to go shopping. We stopped by Cali Fashions, where my aunt used to work. My sister bought this cute gold Pikachu and Capricorn bracelet or something like that. Shiny... ^^ When I got out, my parents threw a fit that I left them. WHAT? I went to go buy a boba drink, and when I came back, they were gone! So it was kinda quiet on the trip back home. My parents wanted to sign me up for Thieu Nhi and Viet Ngu. Ay... It's so boring... You stay in a school for 5 hours learning the Vietnamese language. I don't mind learning, but it's so boring... (I hope this school is better than my old one.) I also need to practice my Mandarin and Cantonese language. But to tell you the truth, I don't have anyone to practice it on. My dad is Viet, and my mom is Chinese, but she's busy lots. And I have no Chinese friends. It's not that I don't want to make any, it's just that I'm the only Chinese person in my whole school. (More like the whole district. T_T) And it's true! I'm so alone... Just so you know, I'm talking about the town where I used to live. After I got home, some of my parents' friends came. They had some lunch and talked and stuff. (I think they're still here...) Well, I stayed upstairs with my sister and looked at some comics. Fun. ^^ And now I'm here. Well, I guess that's all. (Both parents teach me Vietnamese, but only one knows Mandarin and Cantonese, so it's difficult...) 7. Texas (No, I'm not a cowboy. T_T Why do people always ask that?) 8. Um, money! XP 9.
