Hi everyone! The Moon Festival was nice! (Hehe If only Enin were here... I could watch him stuff moon cakes down his throat... *giggles*)
Anyways, first about my day:
I woke up around 8-9 AM, and wanted to use the computer, but the computer room was locked (or so I thought it to be...)
Great... My brother ran into the room and yelled "AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" for no reason at all... IDIOT.
Then he ran in again and said "BOO!" ...Weirdo.
So... I watched Pokemon! And Yu-Gi-Oh! (Really, I HATE Yu-Gi-Oh!, but for some reason, I kept watching it... Huh.)
And I started to finish all the barbecue ribs from yesterday. (Mom cooked it around 10 PM, and no one ate it... MORE FOR ME! LOL)
Oh yeah. While eating, I accidentally hit my plate over with my elbow, (trying to drink water) and all the food (ribs, rice, barbecue) landed all over my shirt... And floor. (So I swept it up. XP And then wiped it...)
So... After...probably noon, I went to go play "Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles"! I got it...2 years ago, on my birthday (I used my own money to get it...), but I never finished it. (Why? My brother takes out all the fun outta games! He's always taking my games, and finishing them... Ruining the surprises... GRR.)
So I decided to play again! I'm at Tifa, the dead/zombie town... Creepy. I finished it! Then I moved onto Morshet Manor... That's where I got stuck... (Man, in this stage, you have to kill chefs. Yup... CHEFS. And I couldn't find a single CURE out of ANY of them! So...I had to restart the game... Now I gotta start Tifa ALL over again... GRR.)
I went to the computer and started changing the theme... It's not so nice, is it...?
So... 6 PM! I got ready for the Moon Festival! But Diana didn't want to come, since she wanted to watch her beloved "Descendants of Darkness"... Ugh.
So I went with my mom and dad.
We got there about 40 minutes after the festivities started... Oh well. When we got there, the moon was at the edge of the sky. Then by the end of the festivities, the moon was between the top/edge of the sky.
All righty, so what happened in-between?
First... There were a lot of dances. (Aww... The little kids' ao dai looked so cute!!! I haven't worn one in almost a year...)
And there was a karate show/thingy... It was nice. ^^ Jumping, and showing-off moves.
Then my dad got caught up with talking to his friends... GRR. (That means I can't go to the Cantonese Moon Festival!!! NOO! Oh yeah, so you know, this was the Viet one.)
So... I walked out of the parking lot, took out my cell phone, and talked to Hong for who-knows-long...
Then I went back... Still talking. So I went to the concession stand and got two mooncakes and some drinks! (One for my mom and one for me!) They were only the size of my palm though... (My mom's didn't have any filling, but mines did! ^^ Yum! Oddly, they have different names. The mooncake without filling is called "banh xung" or something like that, and the one WITH filling is called "banh trung thu", after the festival name. ^^)
I went and got myself another one... (Almost choked on that one though...)
Then it was the lantern walk! HOORAY! I went to go get a lantern, a candle, and a stick, but I couldn't find a lighter. The lighter wasn't found, so I had to use someone else's fire... It TOOK A LONG TIME! Because it was WINDY!!! My fire went out THREE TIMES! I ran around asking "Can I use your fire?" LOL It was silly. I even asked my dad's friend. My parents called me "childish" to be playing with lanterns at this age, but I don't care! I CAME FOR FUN!!! ^^
So... After my lantern was lit, it was time for the walk! We went in little groups of lines. (The lines were never followed though... ^^;; Everyone just ran around...) There was also two dragons! (One of them was a lion, I think...) And there were drums too, and cymbols!
So went we started walking, I kept smiling and walking! (1/4 of the walk, my fire went out, and I had to borrow some fire from a woman.) And we kept walking... La di da...
(SOMEGUY, I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN NOW!!!) There was this guy doing the end of the dragon, and he had to KNEEL the WHOLE TIME! Poor guy. Oh yeah. That red dragon had a tail, and people kept pulling on it... XP
Then I kinda got confused for a li'l. Some of the kids were making fun of the "fat guy with the fan"... EH? There was this little girl holding up her lantern to her face, making her look like the girl from "The Ring". The windy hair was a nice touch too. LOL (I tried to copy her, but I don't think I scared anyone... Just made me look fat, probably... LOL)
So... When the end came, I waited for candy! (You see, most of the times at any kind of Chinese festival, they give out candy at the end! But I had to leave with my parents to go home... WAH.) (I did find a candle on the ground though... What does that have to do with anything??? LOL)
So... I wanted to leave my lantern lit in the van, but my mom and dad had an argument about keeping the fire in the van, because of gasoline... So I blew it out.
Ah... On the way home, I wanted to go to the Cantonese Moon Festival, but my parents told me, since it was almost 10 PM, that it was over already... WAH. No more fun??? The moon was beautiful to watch on the way home though... ^^
So when we came home, I lit up my lantern again (with the candle I found on the ground!) and ran outside to go get the mail...
I was planning to scare some people with the lantern (and making myself look like the person from "The Grudge"... LOL) But no one was on the streets... It was 10:30 PM... Who would be? But I saw a jeep pass by me though... (I hoped that the driver was scared...)
After I gave the mail to my parents, I went into the backyard and started to play with the lantern again. (I had to light it again...) I stuck it onto the moonlight flowers (they aren't blooming anymore...) and the fence! So pwetty... But it was windy... (It could've been spirits, ya know...)
So I went in, blew out my candle, and waited to use the computer.
When I got on, I talked to the MSN buddies and started to type my post. I gotta get off now. Dad wants me asleep. (I'm lucky! I'm finished with my post! LOL)
Bai baai!
Oh yeah. I changed my theme for the Moon Festival... But it's a li'l dull, eh?
See ya. ^^
