Hey everyone! Oh my gosh... I haven't posted in more than a week, eh? Well, one reason is because I've been busy playing MapleStory, but there's more... I'll just tell you what happened today...and maybe yesterday.

Today

Well, I got up around 8 AM to get ready for church! Oh... But we didn't leave, since my mom wanted to wait for Chu Bich to come... Oh... So I watched some old Digimon movies with my brother on ABC Family. A marathon of all 3... After company came, I went upstairs to watch my sister play MapleStory.

And at 11 AM, we FINALLY went to church!!! I was so late though... They got most of the early work done already... I saw Chi, and I put my apron in my kangaroo pocket, since I didn't need it.

While Chi was enjoying a doughnut, we just talked for a bit.

Well, we had to make the rice for our lunch! So Chi and I poured rice into a rice steamer bowl, washed it, and put it in... But I was afraid I didn't put enough water, so I ran to my mom and asked... XP (Later, one of the old men there took out some water... You'll see what it does to the rice...) He said that too much water will turn it to chao, or a Vietnamese rice soup. Liar. It made the rice kinda dry!!!

And then work started a few minutes later. Basically, we took the garlic we peeled weeks ago, and put it into a food processor, then into plastic sandwich bags, tie them, and put them in cardboard boxes.

Oh, I forgot to tell you! I'm doing this for community service! Plus, we're getting ready for the beginning of Chinese New Year. We get people to help us cook and stuff, and we sell it all on the week of Chinese New Year! Sounds fun, eh? (Well, I had to stay there for 7 hours...BUT IT WAS SO FUN!!!)

Well, over the weeks, some of the peeled garlic had developed mold... o_O So we had to chop all of those...

(I said hi to Mai there.) Hehe At first, she didn't know who I was, until I told her I was in Gluttony group with her during the retreat. She reminded me of the boy, Andy, who kept saying "CHICKEN!" (It sounded like "CHI-KUN!")

I did mainly the washing, and I switched to packaging, and later, when no one else was doing it, I did the processing. Later, I helped cut off the mold.

Well, later, they did okra... And I helped for a while... I asked "Do I throw the spoiled okra into the bucket?" He said "No, you throw the spoiled okra into the plastic bags..." Haha XP

Well, we had to do onions later!!! NOO!!! We started, but everyone's eyes started watering... Some of the girls just said "Just let it all out." One person said "This is such a social moment. It's all right to show your emotions. Just cry..." *laughs* It hurt!!! (Onions and garlic have sulfur!!!)

Later, it was time for lunch! (That same guy who took out water from the rice steamer said that...) Well, the rice was...kinda hard... o_O (WHY'D HE TAKE OUT WATER?!?!) At least it wasn't so hot... ^^

Well, I ate with Chi, and Mai was right next to me... We talked about school, about Kai, and stuff... I figured something out. Kai's middle name is Ura. And his last name is Ho. If you spell out his middle name, it says "Kai U-R-A Ho." It sounds like "Kai, you are a hoe." (Chi laughed. I don't hate him! I just figured it out... o_O)

Well, some of the others went to the Wal-Mart across the street, and one of them bought those Twizzler thingys with the cream in them and cut into small-bite pieces. Mmm.

Well, later, we had to go back to work on the onions!!! ARGH! IT STUNG! But I'm so glad we didn't have a lot to do later... Uh, what next...? Oh... Hmm... Well, we were gonna work on peeling boiled eggs, but they already finished all of it...

So what did we do? Chi and I wanted to go to Wal-mart, so we did. Along with Sonja and Scott and another guy I don't know...

So we all ran towards Wal-Mart. (I told them that it looked like we didn't want to do anymore work at the church kitchen, and we're all running away from the law, into the wind...) Chi and I laughed at that thought. Another girl wanted to come to buy water, but she came back... And we all ran to Wal-Mart.

So... I wanted to get a soda first, but they wanted to get candy first. But I already put my dollar in... Somehow, the machine spat out my dollar.

Ah, the candy aisle... It was also the baby food aisle for some reason... o_O We just looked at all the candy, and I started grabbing, acting like a little kid in a giant candy shop. ^^;; (I was playing around though...) Scott, I think, was just chucking candy bags into my arms... (He wanted me to buy them for him... XP)

Well, Chi and I didn't know how to use the self-checking check-out, so we did it the old fashioned way... (It took Sonja and Scott shorter... XP) So to the church, I wanted to get that water for the girl. I kept pressing all the buttons for "water", but it said "SOLD OUT"... I tried getting my money back by pressing that button, but it wouldn't give it back... (THE STUPID MACHINE TOOK MY DOLLAR!!! ARGH!!!) Well, we went back to the church.

Everyone saw us come back, and said "You guys went to Wal-Mart!" (They went to Wal-Mart too! Just...earlier.)

Well, we got to cut a red-skinned pork thing. It's the kind of pork you would use to put in a banh bao. (Or Chinese steamed buns with meat inside!) Well, we chopped them up into cubes (we had trouble finding other cutting boards), and we put them into a pan thing. (Some people ate a bit, and then they took our knives and stuck it into the meat like it was a birthday cake... *laughs*) Most of us took pictures of that... OH YEAH! Did I mention we almost started a knife fight??? *laughs* (I had a double blade...) But we were just joking around... ^^

We took a bit of a break, until a group of men (including my dad) came into the kitchen with goats!!! (17 goats!!!)

17 DEAD goats!!! 17 HEADLESS DEAD goats!!! 17 DISEMBOWLED HEADLESS DEAD goats!!! (Yeah, you get the point...)

And then, they brought in one of the heads. Now imagine a goat head...NOT attached to the body... Yeah... (All of us took pictures...) Chi's gonna scare Dai with that picture... Hehe

It's weird... But most of us weren't really afraid to look at dead animals around us. Even me. I don't know why, but blood or dead animals with missing body parts don't scare me either. (It's just the INNARDS that scare me.)

Well, at first, I didn't want to do it, so I watched them prepare themselves... And Chi and I went to work on washing bean roots. (I decided not to do it.)

Mai was starting to get all the dirt of the goat by skinning it a bit. I said "Are you going into Medical Science?" She said "Doctors don't even do this, except maybe when doing an amputation." I asked Chi what she wanted to become, since she was in Medical Science. She didn't know, but she said "Maybe a pharmacist."

Then we started talking about what time we would go home and stuff. Sonja went "I'm staying until 6 PM. But that's when the vampires come out..." Haha (She works at a hair salon place, but today, she's volunteering here.) Oh yeah! Before lunch, some guy said "We're not getting paid minimum wage for this!!!" I went "We're not being paid at all!" The girl right next to me said "We're volunteering!" Haha

Okay, so Chi and I worked on a goat, trying to remove the dirt off it. (Most people would be terrified to use a knife on a dead goat, 'less even LOOK at a dead goat.) But we scraped. OH MY GOSH!!! Some people ACTUALLY got their goat's skin to be white!!! We got a blotchy white-brown... T_T Well, it was all right. But it was wrong just looking at the goat upside-down. (If you know what I mean...) Well, we switched sides a bit later, and I had to scrape up all of the stuff from teh goat's butt... -_-;; (Chi didn't want to do it, so she asked me to switch.)

Meanwhile, the black kitty under us was trying to eat garlic. I said that it was cute, but Chi said it was dirty. (We both meant eating scraps of food off the floor.)

Well, we got tired of scraping goats, and we took a break and ate some che... I guess you can call it Vietnamese pudding, but not really... Ah, I needed water after that. And grapes!

So... We had to later juice oranges...with no juicer. But that's all right. It hurt my thumb though... Well, it was okay. I said "Maybe we drink this." Chi went "If we're drinking that, then how come they don't buy fresh-squeezed orange juice at the store?" Yeah, that is true... But maybe it's for cooking. Well, that girl from the DDR place helped us too. I never did learn her name... I need to ask later.

Well, we went to the food processors again to shred frozen...pork, I think. One of them didn't shred so good, so we used the others. We saw people walking around with sodas. Chi and I asked where they were, and they were in a cooler...in the kitchen. (I LOST $1 AT A SODA MACHINE IN WAL-MART WHEN I COULD'VE GOTTEN ONE IN THE CHURCH KITCHEN?!?!" ^^;;

Well, we just watched them shred meat... We couldn't do it ourselves. Our food processor is too weak... ^^;;

And we took a break outside. People were throwing ice at each other, and I just ate my jellybeans. Chi ate her gummy bears she bought at Wal-Mart, and Sonja ate her Jelly Belly jellybeans. We kinda talked about the Harry Potter jellybeans and our weird experience with them. She's tasted grass and dirt-flavored jellybeans, and I've tasted earwax and vomit-flavored beans... Those Harry Potter jellybeans are very...random.

Well, we just drank, ate candy, and committed the sin of Gluttony... OH WAIT! Gotta tell you something that Chi, Sonja, and I talked about around after lunch:

If eating too much is Gluttony (a sin), but if we don't finish our food is a sin, what do we do? Sonja said "We should eat right..." But what is right??? XP Well, we had a long conversation, but in the end, we came to the conclusion that we can't escape sin. *nods*

Well, I had to go home by 6:30 PM. I said bye to Chi and Mai, and my parents came and drove me home...

I learned that one goat is $135!!! (AND THAT'S A DISCOUNT!!!) Wah... I stinked so much later, like dead goat. (Dead goat smells bad...kinda like dung.) So imagine me...getting off from kitchen duty, smelling like dung... XP Good thing I went straight home...

P.S. Must bathe a lot later.

Well, didn't that sound fun??? It sounds like a lot of work, but you'll be surprised that doing work is fun... ^^ Especially this kind. Working, doing it with your friends, having fun and laughs... Ah...

Um, I should explain yesterday too, eh?

Yesterday

I won't go on much detail...

For Health, we had to race each other and find our times! My fastest one is 35 seconds around the track-thingy. That was...long... Well, compared to the others. But I have a breathing problem, and it took me minutes to catch up with my regular breathing. Plus, it was cold and windy. Later, we tried to break a board, but even Danny couldn't... ^^;;

P.S. Andrew/Sai is trying to stalk my sister...

Art... OH GOSH. I turned in my yearbook picture, but the teacher said that the journalism teacher took them up already. So she wrote me a pass to the journalism room. Problem: I don't know where that is! I even asked for directions... I wandered the hallways, and looked around. Yomilet came, and I asked her if she knew, but nope. So yeah... I asked another teacher, and she said it was outside. So I went outside. GUESS WHAT?!?! I WAS LOCKED OUT!!! (In this school, you can exit the school, but you can't come in once the door's closed... ^^;;) So I tried to find another way in. And that's where I found the journalism room. (It was a Storage room. Poor journalists...) Well, I knocked, and knocked, but nobody was there. I went back to my Art class, and she told me to go to the mail room and put it in his box. And I did. Ah, that takes care of that problem. Back to weaving burlap.

ELA was quiet...and strict more than usual. 7th period, she wasn't there, and we read "The Outsiders". Oh yeah. On the bus, Lily was talking about how Dylan was making her angry. She always talks about him, and I assumed he was her boyfriend. (I was wrong! They're just friends!!!) She heard me talking about it with Andrew, since he asked what did I ask her. She thought I was spreadig a rumor/gossip... ^^;; (No, I never told anyone that...except Andrew. But he just wanted to know what we were talking about... XP)

Oh!!! My parents weren't home, but by the time it was 7 PM, I realized that I was late for my work at the church! So we drove down there... Guess what? No one came, and they did all the work! So we drove back home... -_-;; (An hour wasted. It takes 30 minutes to go there, and 30 to go back. Plus the minutes between.) I got on MapleStory. EVERYONE WAS ON!!!

First, we played hide-and-go-seek together... I hid VERY well from Kathy. She was screaming "I WILL FIND YOU TRAVIS!!!" The only person that found me was Chi. She looked at the map. Darn. (I was hiding behind a cliff... XP) Well, we all headed towards the Dungeon... OH MY GOSH...

Aaron died. Sue was screaming. Kathy was dying, screaming, and crying. And I was hanging on a rope for my dear life. Kai thought everyone was ignoring him, and Chi was trying to save everyone... It was mass confusion... @_@

Okay... I'm tired, and I'm going on MapleStory. See ya!
