Swimming, Church, and Kimchi-Making!
Start: 9:18 PM CST
ARGH, I'm lucky that I got a second hour today, even though it's so late... URGH. I need more time to post. -_-;;
Yesterday (After Posting)
Well, I got off the computer, but I was bored. My sister was depressed... I felt like going swimming, but my mom wouldn't let me because she said it looked like it was about to rain. Well, she gave me some chores, and after I finished those chores, it was about...7-something PM. (The pool closed at 8 PM.) So I quickly changed into swimming trunks, a white shirt, sandals, and brought along a towel and other stuff. At first, I was gonna walk, but I felt weird. (Why? My pants felt short. ^^;;) So yeah... I kept pacing myself back and forth until I decided to get my bike and head off there.
At the pool, I saw Julio playing ball with one of his friends. (I haven't seen Julio in a LONG TIME! Last time I saw him was the day before he got suspended for bringing beer to the school...) I didn't bring a chain (I NEED ONE!) or a lock, so I just left it there. (His friend said he always sees bikes with no chains there.)
So basically in the pool, I only floated around. It was so nice, floating on water, watching the sky in its twilight moment. It makes you feel like you're floating up in the sky... *laughs*
Julio left with his friend (and I think his younger sister too) as it was getting dark... I stayed in the water and floated, but went to side of the pool for a bit. (I thought they were getting out because of adult swim... Hmm.) So I was watching these two Hispanic (they actually looked more Spaniard) girls playing with each other in the water. (At first, I thought one of the girls looked like Kathy's little sister! XP) Then I realized it wasn't. The older girl was drowning the littler girl in the water (I think it was for fun), and I just smiled. (Not drowning, but kinda playfully dragging her by her floating device??? Dunno. @_@)
As I was swimming, I heard a man talk with his younger son. (He was the oldest brother of the two girls I saw earlier, I think.) I couldn't help but overhear! XP So...that boy had a girlfriend, and one of his sisters liked the girlfriend. (The father in a way, explained it in a weird way. He said it was all right if his sister liked his girlfriend, but if another girl liked his girlfriend, he should shun that other girl. Gasp! o_O!) Homophobic, maybe...? (I dunno, maybe I heard wrongly.)
So everyone started to leave, and it was about time for the pool to close, so I got out, tried to dry as fast as I could, and bike all the way home.
I don't remember what I did after that... Uhh... I showered, then watched a bit of Naruto while doing something in the kitchen. (GAH, my memory's getting blurry!!! @_@!) I ate the rest of the noodles (with beef and bean root) while watching Chinese dramas with my mom...
I remember getting on the computer later that night (because my mom wanted me to check her e-mail), but she made my brother get off, and he was so angry about that. He went downstairs and forgot to bring his retainer. (He had his teeth straightened with braces, but if he doesn't wear his retainer, they get messed up again quickly.) And my mom was angry, and as usual, she was going on about how she spent hundreds of dollars on his teeth, and if he didn't take of them, she would pull them out, tooth by tooth. (So I tried throwing the retainer container to Ricky, but he didn't catch it, and it fell down, and a part of it snapped off.) My mom asked what happened, and when she had heard, she yelled at me so badly... (And she went on about how she spent a lot of money on the retainer and how she had to waste her time going back to the orthodontist getting a new one... Sigh...)
At night, I stayed up and read Memoirs of a Geisha. I don't understand why my sister thinks this is a boring book. (I think that's what she said.) I find it parts, sad, but parts enjoyable. There's just something about a book that draws you in, ya know?
And then a question popped into my head:
What's the difference between a memoir and an autobiography?
And my neck started hurting, so I went to sleep...
OH! Suc Poh wanted us to come to Galveston to see her daughter (who lives there). But my mom didn't want to go. We had to go to church tomorrow, and she didn't want to miss it.) I said we could go to church early and go later, but my mom had already said "no".
Today
Urr... I woke up around 9 or 9:30 AM because my mom came into the room and woke me up. ^^;;
After changing and getting ready, we headed off to church. (For some reason, I was wearing all black today. My mom said it was too hot to do that, but I didn't change. ^^;;)
When I came into church, my mom prayed to the statue on the right side when entering the church. I wanted to light a candle, but there was no more gas in the lighter we had. (A little girl also wanted to light a candle.) I went to the left side and grabbed one of the candles, but that one had no more gas either. My mom tried to pick up the candle with her hand, but the wax was still hot and it burned her... ^^;;
After mass was over, I saw Khang behind me! (OH MY GOSH! I hadn't seen Khang since the last day of Viet Ngu! And he was so depressed that day!) I was so happy to see him. I asked him how his summer's been so far, but he said he's only been sleeping, watching T.V., and eating. (Haha, the story of most of our lives, neh? ^^;;) I said "bye" to him, but my sister said to Khang, "Bye crazy." (She thinks he's crazy. o_O;;) He replied, "Bye Fatty!" *laughs* (Then he walked off with his mom...or his sister... He has no sister... o_O;; His mom looks SO YOUNG! o_O!)
I also saw Andy! (I hadn't seen him since the time in church he tried to burn Ricky's hair! XP)
We headed off towards the car, but my mom needed to call someone on her cell phone. Diana went looking for Dalena, Diana, and Anne. (They don't go to this church anymore... No wonder. This church is so cheap and always asking for money... -_-;;) I tried to look for Andy because he might know where Dalena and Diana went...but he was nowhere to be found.
It wasn't until we started driving off in the van that I saw Andy walking behind the church. (I started screaming and banging the window--but my window's not a pull-down. XP) Ricky said "hi" to him though. ^^;;
After that, we headed home...
OH! But my mom wanted to go sign up something somewhere, so we drove to Mission Bend Elementary (I thought it was a middle school!) (I told her it wasn't the right school), so I told her the directions to what I thought was "Mission Bend Elementary". Turns out, it was "Mission GLEN Elementary". GAH, I'm so confused now... @_@
Uhh...I made icing! Yup, got so bored I made icing. First I tried putting blue in it (it was originally yellow--the icing--so it made it a light-green-blue color. It looked like TOOTHPASTE. Tasted good, but looked like toothpaste.) I added red, and it became the color of deep red/pink rose... I fed it to my sister (who was on a treadmill) and brother, and they got hooked on it, they started eating it all (putting it on waffles, eating it raw). I'm sick of it now... SO SWEET. But UGH.
My sister went on the computer... Umm...I went on the computer after her. I spent my time watching Pokemon! (Japanese episodes! They're more funnier and the English dubs aren't great quality...) But it took up my computer time. (We're only allowed one hour a day now...) My brother got on, and Diana and I went off to eat shrimp, noodles, and lettuce. (Umm...can't think of the name of the Vietnamese dish!!! @_@! Think spring rolls with lettuce. XP)
After we finished, I wanted to draw, so Diana and I headed to my room, drew pictures, and listened to my sister's CDs. (I had to run back and forth to do my laundry.)
I got bored of drawing, so I read Memoirs of a Geisha. Then, Diana and I realized Ricky had been on the computer for TOO long. (Two hours already. ^^;;) So I called him to get off, and he got all..."talk-backy and weird-sarcasm"-like. (Yes, he cannot use sarcasm correctly.)
Uhh... I got bored... (I just realized my mom wasn't home. o_O;;) She just came home, and I started to make a custard. So I was standing at the stove, mixing custard for...a LONG TIME. (Low heat, ya see.) My sister was depressed, so she helped.
Umm...I did some more ingredients, and now I'm gonna turn it into mango ice cream!
(I think my mom was cutting the grass outside while I was making my ice cream! Yeah, she was.) When that ice cream cools from the stove, it turns into marshmallow. (Actually, the way you make marshmallow and ice cream is ALMOST similar.)
Ah-ha... A marshmallow-y ice cream... ^^;;
Yeah, I just got on after my sister had been on for an hour.
Trangie's staying in Houston (she went up today--I wanted to go to Hong Kong Mall with her!) and she's heading home tomorrow...
ARGH. Gotta go now! Bye!
