Ah-la-la... What did I do...

Monday/September 11

As most of you might've remembered, 9/11 was the day when four planes were hijacked by terrorists and crashed into the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and an area in Pennsylvania. It was a tragic day for our country, and for the rest of the months that follow. But the people that were really affected were the people who lost loved ones on that day. They are the remnants of the people who gave their lives to try to save other people, and others lost their lives innocently.

It's been five years since that tragic day, and this is their story.

At school today, our ROTC members did a little presentation to remember that day. A guy with a trombone was playing "Taps" (a bit off-key, I might add) and the members were saluting to the flag, which other members were holding.

(P.S. If you don't already know, ROTC is a class in our school that teaches military things. The military pays for it. Even the guns. Yes--there are guns in the school. The military pays for them. I don't think they're loaded though.)

All throughout the day was there something about 9/11. In Digital Graphics, with the news being broadcasted from our school (it's the first day!), they showed a video a guy made five years ago...

Oh! And in Digital Graphics, we had to draw another person's face! So I was trying to draw Geraldine's, and I kept laughing because I think I messed up on it. (Even though Richelle said it was good... *sweats*)

In English, we read "The Interlopers", and we paired off into groups...in which I got lost for which group I was supposed to be in... (So I just got into a group and pretended I was supposed to be there.)

Uhh...I remember in lunch, after sitting with Angelie and Tien, roaming the soda machines, trying to put my dollar in them, but none would accept it. (All the machines here are faulty!!!) And I bought a giant strawberry popsicle RIGHT when the bell to dismiss from lunch rang... And so I was quickly eating the ice cream...trying not to get a brain freeze. (And you'd be surprised that I didn't get one!)

Um, in Geometry, I sat with Emily and I just did work. I had this feeling that Tara and the person she was sitting with were watching me for some reason...

Tuesday

OH! We had an essay due in IPC today, but I forgot to turn it in! Actually, I forgot to start on it! GRR, 20 points off for me. SHOOT.

Transition was nice... Our IPC teacher shared a chocolate cupcake (which were for her teacher conference) with one of her senior/junior students! ARGH... I wanted a cupcake too! WAH.

In Geography, we have a project... NOOO... We have to make a 3-D model of a topographic map. Now I need to buy some white cardboard...

Our Geography teacher showed us a bunch of graphs, and he showed us an age/sex graph on the projector. (It shows the age/gender population of a country/city.) When he said "age/sex", he replied to himself, "Shame on you, talking about sex in the classroom..." (We just bursted out laughing.)

In lunch, I sat with Chi, who was with Jonathan and Shanna! Shanna's group says I don't look like a freshman, but like a sophmore...and some even say I look like a junior. o_O;; (I'm taller than the average freshman here and I hang out with a lot of sophmores. Sad, eh?) So again, I went to go to the ice cream machine, and I saw Daniella! (I've been seeing her a lot lately...) Again, I ate my ice cream, and again, the bell rang. Shanna looked at me eating the ice cream, yelled "Chunk it, chunk, chunk it!" over and over again, while moving her arms in a "pounding" motion. I was like, o_O;;

In Fitness, we had to do Tae Bo as a test grade. If we didn't do it, or asked to go to the bathroom, we lose points, or fail. It wasn't that bad. But there's this guy in my class, right? He's always screaming at other guy, calling him "gay" just because he hangs with a bunch of girls. And yet he acts gay to other guys. Here, I'll explain. David, Raul, and I were exercising, and when Raul was in a crouching position, this guy came up from behind and humped Raul. (Oh my gosh! Wha...?!) But luckily, Raul tumbled over before...yeah... *sweats*

And he tried to do the same thing to me...only something different. Touching a private part, is all I'll say. (WEIRDO.)

It was kinda funny watching Kai exercising, but he was doing it while wearing a fluffy jacket! (EH???)

I stayed after school today, and walked with Ahkil to the Robotics Club. We waited for the other people to come, while I played on Photoshop... So, all the website programmers were sent to a different room...to learn XSL. NOO... We all kept saying we like to do (X)HTML and CSS, but Randy (our "teacher") replied that he doesn't like to make his sites "pretty". (Isn't that what sites are for? To draw the person in with good graphics/programming???)

But that's not what this club is for. WAH. Everyone was quiet, with their hands on their chins, just listening... It was...quiet. And weird. *sweats*

So we went back into the regular room, where Chi was in the workshop, holding a screwdriver. She admits it was the FIRST TIME HOLDING A SCREWDRIVER. Heh. *sweats* We all went to the computers, checked on the school website, and just played around in Photoshop and etc.

After that, Chi and Janice left with Chi's mom...

I had to find a bus pass, and a guy gave me his extra one. (Yay!) In the meanwhile, it was Open House, and other people were working on their booth. At the other classroom, there were people in Home Ec eating Papa John's pizza. (Students who stay back to help with Open House get free pizza!)

Of course, I was tired and wanted to get home, so I opened my umbrella and walked to the waiting area. Everyone else was waiting there too... Kaether wanted me to walk him with his umbrella so his hair doesn't get frizzy. (Eh???) I walked Thi over, and sat by Aaron... And Vy and Kai didn't ride our bus, even though they were supposed to.

Bus Driver: Where are you heading?
Me: I'm headings towards ------------.
Bus Driver: Why are you heading there...?
Me: ...I live there.
Bus Driver: I'm just playing with ya. Come on in.

Lots of heavy raining, water falling, and sleeping on the bus.

Aaron, all randomly, asked if I had a "special ability". I asked him where he heard it from, and he said "from a friend". (It was Chi...) At first, I lied. But I couldn't stand lying to my friends, so I told him I could use my "special ability" on Aaron and guess right things about him. I was afraid I wasn't gonna do it right since I hadn't done that kind of stuff in almost half a year! But all my predictions were right. YAY! (Not all of them were correct, so ya know.) Of course, Aaron, being the skeptic, kept asking me questions.

I also did it with his friend, and his time, I got almost exactly everything correctly. Yay!

Well, the bus driver (late bus) drove me all the way home. I ate and got on the computer. Ricky and my mom were at his Open House, so yah. I stayed up until 10-11 PM doing homework, and then I went to sleep.

Today

Ugh...I didn't want to wake up today. I guess it was because I stayed up late last night finishing my IPC and English essays on the computer...

Well, on the bus...LOTS of sleeping! And when I got to school, I slept in the cafeteria. Kai and Vy were quiet...and Aaron was hanging out with Heidi and his guitar buddies.

In first period, I exercised. But I was so sleepy, I couldn't care...

Digital Graphics, we did a test. Richelle wasn't here for it because of a junior's meeting in the auditorium. After testing and looking through pictures, we just spent the rest of the time playing on Photoshop.

The news came on! After the pledge and moment of silence, some students were being interviewed about ZAP and what they thought of it.

(ZAP, or Zeroes Aren't Permitted is a program at my school. If you get a zero on a classwork, they make you stay after school and make you do it, plus give you more work.)

One girl said this on her interview: I don't know why we should get zeroes on work that we don't do.

Geraldine's translator and my Digital Graphics teacher just BURSTED OUT LAUGHING. I did too! The translator said it was one of the most stupidest things she's heard a student say!!!

In English, we did work...about our essay! Ah, we were paired into groups. I was with Mason, Tera, Lillian, and Chelsea. They said my essay was something they could relate it. My story was about me, not doing my homework, and trying to scribble it all down before the bell rang and how I wasn't being responsible by doing it right now.

At lunch, I talked with Tien, who was cursing about her Algebra teacher, who made them stay back just so a student (who was writing very slowly) could finish writing the problem on the board correctly. She was also cursing about her ROTC (that military thing at our school) teacher, about how some students weren't doing what they were supposed to do, and they had to keep on doing push-ups. Her sandals were damaged. *sweats*

She says she can't wait until she gets a car to shop around the First Colony area! If only she could drive...and we had money. *sweats*

In Geometry, I sat by Michelle and Danny and we did work! Yah, a lot of us had to show a problem from our homework on our board. First, I did it with Michelle and Danny, and when we had to do the problem separately, I just confused everyone... *sweats* Ashley wants me to sit by her on tests now.

It was something like this:

Me: This angle equals 35 degrees. And since this is the vertical angle equals 35 degrees. Since this other angle makes it supplementary, 3x - 8 + 35 = 180 degrees.

And I kept going on...

And:

Now that you have that, this is its vertical angle, and this equals...

And so forth. I confused Thi (who was HYPER when she was presenting!) who just clapped, but gave a weird look to another person... *sweats*

After that, I walked with Vy and Kai (who weren't really minding me) and headed onto my bus. I sat with Eileen (Nam's little sister) and Vy sat with Tien. I was basically asleep for the whole bus.

Anita says funny things on the bus. Now if I could only remember what she said today.

It was QUIET on the bus today. Most people were at HOSA (which is a medical intern program?) and other clubs.

So I biked home, and I left Anita, who needed to talk on the phone...

I got the mail, came home, and ate.

OH!!! Chi and my friends (who are in the Medical Academy at my school--at my school, there are four Academies--Medical, Engineering, Computer, and Broadcasting) made a video for their Medical project!

Here it is:

I SWEAR. I could not stop LAUGHING as I was watching this.

The Asian guy? That's my friend Kai. And the Asian girl? That's my friend Vy. (Oh, they're all Asian! But I mean eastern/southeastern Asian, not southern Asian. *sweats*)

Oh, the title? Medical Mayhem Hightower? What's it mean? (Medical is meaning the Medical Academy, and Hightower is my school name.)

Yes, it's Lockheart Valentine Hightower. Or at least that's what someone told me.

WEIRD COINCIDENCE: The first and middle name of my school are the last names of Final Fantasy VII characters!

Tifa Lockheart
Vincent Valentine

Coincidence, is it not???

Bye guys!

P.S. No one's going to JAM today... WEIRD.
