(This was written on Saturday night...)

Hiya guys! Right now, it's just raining and thundering outside. Lots of rumbling. And I don't really feel like posting. Really, I'm anxious to read my sister's library book Weedflower by Cynthia Kadohata. She's also written Kira-Kira, and I just cried that whole day after reading that book...

I'm only on Chapter 8 of Weedflower, but you can tell it's going to be sad. It's about a girl, named Sumiko, who is the only Japanese girl in her class. And she is constantly being made fun because of it. And because of that, she has no friends. But she lives on a flower farm, where they grow flowers for a living, and that makes her happy at the end of the day, no matter how bad she feels. But one day, Japan bombed Pearl Harbor, and it marked the start of the start of war between the U.S. and Japan. Sumiko's family is sent to an internment camp in the Mojave Desert, one of the hottest places in the world. The flowers from her past life are gone now, and all that's left are the dust storms in the desert and the barracks that she has to call her new "home." Sumiko later learns that the camp is on an Indian (Native American) reservation, and even here, the Japanese are unwanted as they were back in their home. But she meets a Mojave boy who just might become her first real friend...if he can ever get over the fact that the camp is on his tribe's land.

Sounds good, right? It's starting to get good so far...

Anyways, about my days!

Yesterday/Friday

Today is Brad's last day on the school bus. He's moving on Wednesday, and he's going to be living in his aunt's house until he can move to his new home... It's going to be sad without him... *sighs*

In IPC, we did...I forgot. But I have to come in for tutorials on Monday... On my dimensional analysis work, I made a 50! YESSS... Even though I UNDERSTAND IT, I still get a 50!!! WAHHH...

For Transition, we had to get our picture taken for our yearbook! NOOO... I didn't even KNOW it was Picture Day!!!! You see, they planned Picture Day on the second week of school... But the photographer couldn't make it, so they rescheduled it...and told no one. I MEAN IT! Like, only TWO people in the WHOLE class knew Picture Day was gonna be today!!! BLAHHH...

So we all headed down to the auditorium, where we were waiting in line for our pictures to be taken. I saw Chi and Ashley in line!

I was chatting with Ashley and trying not to look bad. I swear, I had, like, five pimples on my face. (I had a chocolate binge earlier that week, and I still haven't recovered.) UGHHH...

Well, I took it...and waited in line for my picture to print. Ashley's looked funny... *laughs*

I was talking with some girls in my class. I was talking to a deep brown/blond girl in my class with a Brooklyn accent (Man, I need to learn names!!!) about how our pictures were gonna turn out horribly.

And the moment of truth... It didn't look bad! YAY! It was nice, and the picture was so blurred you couldn't even tell I had those pimples. *laughs* (Wait, the picture's blurred?!)

So we all headed back to class...where I tried to finish my Geography project...which was due today... BLAHHH.

In Geography...we took notes. And there was a point in the class where some people were talking, and he just bursted out yelling (with one curse word) to us to be quiet... It was REAL quiet after that...

In lunch, I sat with Thi and her friend Line (pronounced "Lin"!)! Thi wants me to wash her dishes everyday now... NOO. And she also wants me to bake her brownies too... NOO.

And the bell rang, and I rushed to eat all the food I had... I'ma pig yes, but I can't waste food. I love food SO MUCH and I was raised to not waste food. My mom says it's a sin to waste food in Buddhism...

In Fitness, Raul, Kai, and Kenny sat in the bleachers. I was sitting at first too, but I got off and started playing volleyball. I played with Lauren too! It was fun, but Kenny kept wanting to throw the ball at people. At first, he was trying to throw it at ME. But I blocked it. He said, "HEY! I was aiming for someone!" The second time, I saw him aiming at me, but I thought he was aiming for someone else, so when he threw it, it hit my head, deflected, and landed someone else... (WEIRD...)

By this time Lauren and I started playing with a purple beach ball! Dominique (I know her name now! Oh, and her elbow's healed now...) kept trying to steal the ball from us. (Like, when we hit it into the air, Dominique would jump into the air, catch the ball, and run off with it... *bursts out laughing*) She also kept hiding behind me, because Lauren wanted to smack her with the ball for always trying to steal it... *sweats*

Weird chats with Kai and Raul. Kai and Raul kept talking about their butts, and I just looked at both of them and said, "EWW, you guys are talking about each other's BUTTS!"

And then Kai went on talking about if you can move your butt with your muscles, then there's something wrong with you. (Actually, it's possible...)

Yeah, I'm gonna stop talking about... AWKWARD.

And Kai can serve! He can play volleyball?! o_O?

Yes, he actually serves STRAIGHT! I can't do that!!! Once, I hit it curved, and it bounced off the heads of three girls... (Who were, like, at least 3 feet away from each other?!)

I've noticed Dominique has a hearing aid...or something behind her ear. (???)

Well, after class ended, we all swam up to the commons, where band players were drumming and the cheerleaders cheering! The school is thinking of doing this oftenly. Having drums being played and cheering in the commons.

Of course, this caused incongestion in the hallways, and no one could get to their buses. *laughs*

I bought a strawberry popsicle, stuck it in my mouth, tried to run across the crowd, get to my locker, get my binder (WHICH I DIDN'T EVEN NEED!!!) and run to my bus. There were a BUNCH of people asking, "Where did you get that popsicle?!"

By the time I got out though, the popsicle was melting... (I finished it all with happiness! YAY!) Kai was waiting for Vy...who never came...

When I got on the bus, I found out she was already on there. I sat with Nancy, and we talked a bit at first, but both fell asleep--it must've been that we were so quiet.

WE WERE HOME EARLY... 20 minutes early! YAH! At first, I noticed my bike wasn't there! First thought: SOME STUPID KID STOLE MY BIKE!!! Then I remembered my mom drove me today... *sweats*

So I walked home... The bus driver offered me a ride home (seeing me walk on the sidewalk), but I said "no." I also saw my 8th grader bus driver and waved "hi" to her!

Well, I got home, played Gunbound with my brother. But I was rushing, since I needed to get to Mariah's birthday party! I showered, then changed my clothes. A black short-sleeved, collared, button shirt, unbuttoned (Anita says it's a polo shirt? I dunno...) with an arctic camo onside, and dark/faded jeans.

As I was rushing downstairs to get my shoes, I notice my brother and mom outside trying to take apart the tent...or whatever. My mom called me "girly/fashiony" because of the clothes I was wearing (The word was "dieu", but I'm not sure how you translate that...), and then yelled about how I wasn't helping taking down the tent.

Really, it was hard. First, the Phillips screwdriver wasn't the right size. And my mom kept yelling about that. (My dad screwed them in SO TIGHT...) And my mom couldn't pronounced the tool names right, so that got aggravating. She said something like "Blesh," and you're thinking, "What the hell did she say?!" Then you realized she said "Wrench."

After doing that until 6 PM (the party started at 5 PM!!!), my mom drove me to the arcade... She kept thinking it was at Mariah's house! But it's an ARCADE. Had to translate what it meant. I told her it was by Wok Bo, a Chinese restaurant, but she thought I meant it was AT Wok Bo. BLAHHH...

So we got there! Planet Zero Anime Center. I went in, and I see Bi Ling and Mariah with a group of her friends standing by the DDR machine (the SuperNova version!) playing! I joined in, and played! YAY!!!

I also saw Zach and Kaleb there!

Then we all went to walk around. The place was SO COOL. Games everywhere, video game mannequins hanging about, fading neon lights at the bar area, and anime props!!! (I saw a Final Fantasy VII Potion Bottle I wanted to buy SO BAD! But it was...$20. WAH.)

Aaron's friend (I don't know her name--she had curly hair and braces) started taking pictures of people posing by a Metroid Prime character. I posed as a dead person (under the character's gun) and one of Mariah's friend (a girl) comes up and says, "OH! MY HERO! You saved me..." and by this time, I started CRACKING UP. Kaleb kinda did the same thing... *laughs* (Mariah was trying to take a picture of me DEAD under that Metroid Prime character's gun, but here I am LAUGHING. YES, I DIED LAUGHING.) In the end, they just made a video. *sweats*

That guy (in my Programming class!!! The black guy who's always wearing that letterman jacket...) was sitting on an orange bristly couch, and I put my hand on top of the couch. Then Zach started to say, "Now put your arms around each other. Yeah... Now sniff each other's hair... That's it... And now madly make out with one another..."

Me and another person: o_O...

Don't worry, we didn't do ANY of it...

Kaleb and I got addicted on Para Para Paradise! It's like DDR, only you use your hands--Left, Northwest, Up, Northeast, and Right--and you basically use your hands to move! It is motion-sensored--so you don't have to touch anything. MAN...did we PLAY IT A LOT. We came up with our weird dances, and we just did a bunch of things to it! *laughs* I blew off...$8 on that game, probably, but I LOVED IT.

I bought a Fuzion Float from their bar, expecting it to look like some kind of smoothie. Was I wrong. It was basically an ice cream float on strawberry seltzer water. The girl who worked there (Denise?) asked me how was it, and I replied, "It's good." Then, after taking my drink, I walked off and ate somewhere in the middle of the arcade. I didn't want to move around because, one, the drink could easily spill, and two, it was such a hassle carrying the whole thing--spoon, plate, cup, and trying to make it not spill. Zach taunted me saying, "Aww, look at you... You're lonely..."

Oh! They sell pocky there... YUM.

Everyone was in a dark room (I couldn't find anyone at first!!!) playing Truth or Dare! I was playing with a blue laser light, but I also joined in. One of Mariah's friend dared Mariah to touch this guy's (dunno his name) "thing" if you know what I mean... I don't know if she did it or not. There was a lot of "whoo-ing" from what I think meant she did it, but I was too busy playing with the laser light... (I see dead people...)

Yes, it was VERY awkward. That girl kept telling people for their dares to touch other guy's "things" and if they touched themselves at night. *bursts out laughing* She was all perverted... *sweats*

Oh, we sang Mariah "Happy Birthday" there too!

Bi Ling had to leave... She left a little bit BEFORE Truth or Dare. Her mom came to pick her up, so yah. (Her mom works at Dental Castle. Ooh.) And seeing her mom, I'm thinking she's part Chinese/Hispanic. Yahh...

People say Bi Ling looks like Yumi from Puffy AmiYumi (SHE DOES!!! Except with streaked bleached hair...), but her voice sounds like Ami.

Imagine that. A girl that looks like Yumi (real life) with streaked hair, but a voice like Ami--the one from the cartoon series. Oh, and braces! And that's what Bi Ling looks like.

Oh, that perverted girl? She says I look like Cyrus from Yu-Gi-Oh! GX. EH?! She says my face does... (But I have no light blue hair...) She also says I look like Miroku from Inuyasha without my glasses. *sweats* (This talk of anime look-a-likes? This was RIGHT when we were by the bar...)

The bar table's light changes colors... Ooh.

My dare? I had to LICK Mariah's forehead. WHAT?!?! They dumbed it down for me--I had to lick her shoulder. But I still didn't do it. They pushed me towards her, but all I did was kiss her shoulder...without my lips. *sweats* (They THOUGHT I did it... *sweats*)

There was a time when Kaleb took my card and thought it was his card... (HEY...) But I got it back! And I even CHECKED to see if it was mines...

A girl (Latino) tried to play PPP (Para Para Paradise), but her card was scratched up...so yah. (And she had 50+ points stored on it!)

OH...Saturday, Denise (the girl who works there) said they were having a movie night for Fist of the North Star...

Not only is it an arcade, it's also an Internet cafe, a "bar," and an anime movie night area... Nice.

At the end, everyone was tired, and started resting on a red leather couch, and one of Mariah's friends sat under a guy (Mexican/Spanish) while he was laying down on a couch. (That sounds wrong for some reason.) And we just talked...about stalkers.

Well, I played my last game of PPP, and then I looked behind me, and it was my mom LOOKING AT ME, SNICKERING. (EH?!?!) Well, after the game, I hugged Mariah, told her "Happy Birthday" and left. Oh, my mom said they were laughing at me while she was watching me... *sweats*

When I got home, I ate chicken and played a bit of Trickster Online with Diana! But my stomach started hurting. Remember that drink I bought at the bar? Yah...I ate nothing with it, and it REALLY upset my stomach, and--I'm just gonna leave it at that.

I told Enin that, and he said this: "HAHAHAHA!!! YOU DRANK AL-KEE-HAL! TRAVIS, YOU ARE NOW A MAN!!!!!"

Me: "...But it wasn't alcohol..."

I stayed up past midnight listening/download DDR: Mario Mix songs...

Monday/Today

Urm, I woke up somewhere around 10 AM, and I got on the computer and told Alaina to call Hong. Hong was eating, and she was about to go to Hong Kong Mall! In the main room, Ricky was upstairs playing video games, and my mom was downstairs in the kitchen, and my mom was arguing with Ricky. Ricky's always complaining about never going anywhere, and yet, when he DOES get the chance to go somewhere, he doesn't go. Stupid, huh?

Well, I asked if my mom could drive me to Hong Kong. Well, she agreed after a lot of questions. So I showered, got Diana to come along...BUT...

Diana wasted my time making me watch Final Fantasy videos, and then I had to eat, clean, and change my clothes.

So...that was...11 AM. And by the time we were READY, it was 1:15 PM...

She called me and said she left. NOOO!!! I got depressed after a while, but then my mom said she would drive me to the mall! So I wanted to go to First Colony Mall!

And we drove off...not knowing where we were going... (I've never been to First Colony Mall, and I thought I could find it. STUPID ME...)

Well, after getting gas, my mom and I decided to go eat at a restaurant called ThaiSiam. It had a cute little chili pepper as its "S" shape... Aww...

So we went in. IT WAS SO PRETTY. The lighting was through glass lanterns, and there were wooden altars everywhere, with Thai dolls standing about. There were grapes hanging from the walls too, by wine. So we ordered our food. I got a chicken dish (forgot the name!), and my mom and sister ordered a Thai-styled stirfry...

They first gave us a salad, with a dressing made from peanuts and coconut. Yum. 20-something minutes later came our food. Yay!

I loved my food, really. The sauce was honey with chili peppers, so it was a sweet-and-sour thing going on. The chicken was spicy, so that added more to that flavor. Of course, my sister and mom didn't like their food. My mom (later, outside, in the van) said she hated how they used sweet-and-sour together like that. UGHHH. What a critic.

The restaurant got MYSTERIOUSLY quiet after that. Then I realized WHY. The restaurant is only open for lunch and dinner. Noon-2 and then it doesn't open again until 6-7 PM. We were (with another family--Indian descent...) there, only because they allowed us to finish our food. The waiters were starting to get ready for the dinner thing.

We got mints. Yay! Ohhh...and the waiter asked me if I wanted ice cream. Couldn't rejecting that, I ordered a lime mango ice cream. (My mom didn't know because she was in the bathroom.) But then my mom came out wanting to leave, so to finish it fast, we split the ice cream in three. (Of course, a lot of the ice cream fell off the plate due to my mom trying to move it to my plate... BLAH.)

Then, in the van, my mom started complaining about how the food tasted, and how the check wasn't right, and how she was never going to come back there again. Personally, I liked it, so eh...

Thai food is closely related to Viet food, from what I can tell. So is the talking language. I remember Diana noting how pretty the Thai written language looked, and my mom just went like "Ugh..." and started saying how it just looked like a bunch of scribbles. (Can't she just like something without being a critic? And in some other people's opinions, Chinese looks like a bunch of scribbles too, so hah!)

Then, I called Hong to tell her I was coming towards her house! But we got lost. It was because, one, Hong didn't know her mom's apartment's house number. (Hong doesn't live in Houston--she lives in P.A., and she comes to visit her mom once a month...) So my mom started to ask a lot of questions, and we FINALLY found the apartment number. (We asked her to look at her mom's letters--and find the address.) So yah! I got out, we hugged, my mom tried to park, and Hong told me how scary she thinks my mom looks...and talks. (I agree!)

But Hong needed to get to a wedding in 30 minutes. SHOOT. You know what my mom said? "You've seen her face. Now let's go." IN THOSE EXACT WORDS. (HOW MEAN!!!)

So we left...and headed to Ross...where I started "pigging out" on the clothes. I picked out...10 shirts? But in the end, I only got to buy 3 of them. *sweats* My mom just went through all of them and just stated how ugly they looked.

After finishing that, Diana and I wanted to buy scarves! Diana got a silk brown one, and I got a woven brown one... I'm gonna be a WITCH for Halloween! But my mom said they were ugly, and said it was the kind of scarves "those Pakistan women" wear. (So those hujabs those Pakistani women wear are ugly???)

She let us buy it, but it's coming out of our own money... Eh.

We went home, and I got on! I started practicing on my Halloween costume, and I got help on Enin with how to do a white mask! I need oil-based makeup...and powder. (I walked around the house, trying to gather all the ingredients and tools to use, but I gave up in the end. it didn't turn out as I liked.)

I talked with the group! Vicky, Catarina, Hinaru (WHO TALKS NOW!!! IT'S THE END OF THE WORLD!!!), and Enin (who was getting "kinky" off of everything we were talking about)...

...Wait. Enin was wearing spandex while wearing toe rings and riding a carousel???

And Vicky went to go buy "horanges," the fruit that Catarina made up that starts with the letter "H."

Vicky: "Do you sell horanges?"
Store Clerk: "That's not a fruit, ma'am."
Vicky: "LIES!!!!" *beats the crap out of the store clerk*

*laughs* That was funny.

I just went up and down the stairs this whole time. Diana got gum stuck on her books in her backpack! Someone put it there... o_O!

It got stuck on her English spiral and her book, Weedflower. So we started scraping... Plus, my mom helped me on how to clean it...with duct tape.

And I've been up here (Diana was up here earlier talking to the MyO group...) reading Wildflower, and it's getting good. (Read the sypnosis at the beginning of this post if you want to know what it's about.)

And I've been on the computer posting...since whenever.

I'm gonna go now! Bye!

End: 12:12 AM CST
