OY. Summarization: CRAZY WEEK.
Friday
Well, in Gym today, Huan sprained his ankle while running, and they had to take him from the gym to the clinic in a wheelchair. I got his clothes and backpack for him, and he had to go home... Poor Huan...
In Digital Graphics, I had a nice chat with Geraldine! I tried using my ASL more, and I think I got the hang of the structure. (But I switch between SE and ASL and it gets confusing. *sweats*)
In English, we did more of our country projects, and Ema brought in Romanian pastries as her food for her country! (Romania!)
Geometry... A lot of people had to leave since the Homecoming pep rally was that day, and we presented our Geometry projects...from...like, two weeks ago? I loved J.J.'s, The Geometric Real World... And Thi and I were gonna do the Vietnamese techno/Spongebob one, but since that didn't work, we switched to my colorful/Spongebob version.
Oh my gosh. Kevin and I kept talking about infinity and layers of infinity! And he tried explaining it to me on the board... (No, we weren't studying about infinity! We just talked about it for fun...) And so...we made next week's warm-ups...very...stupid. *laughs*
Do Now: Solve for x:
x = (infinity)^(infinity)
A1. (Made by me!) Jenny had infinity apples. Bob had infinity apples. If Bob gave 1/16 of his apples to Jenny, how many apples would Jenny have?
B1. (Made by Kevin!) If the apples were exposed to a radioactive isotope and lost 20% of their mass, what would their weight on Jupiter be if the sun exploded and the apples were sent into orbit? See diagram A2. (So you know, the diagram made no sense too. *bursts out laughing*)
For some reason, our teacher, Courtney, and Emily kept talking about pee... UGH, you don't wanna know. *sweats*
Ah...after I got off the bus, I walked home with Aaron, who taught me a few basics to the guitar, and before I could carry it home, I had to go ALL THE WAY HOME, then come back. (The guitar and backpack wouldn't fit at once.) That took...20 minutes. By then, Aaron was mowing the grass. He let me borrow his guitar, and I went home. UGH. I REALLY hope I don't break it. I'm broke, and doing this will just add up the debt to my mom...
Well...that day was the Moon Festival!! NOO!!! But I couldn't go... I was too busy practicing guitar...and my mom...was...eh.
Saturday/Homecoming Dance!
Ah...we went to the orthodontist's around 11 AM and I got my braces' rubber bands changed to orange and black (Halloween!) and I have a chain on my braces now... (It's used to hold your teeth together.) That's a sign that my orthodontia will soon be over! (WHEE!!!) Oh! My mom gave Dr. Ho mooncakes, and he said "thanks" for them.
After that, we headed to Burger King... It was so confusing! My brother had these coupons to get a free burger for every burger... And so...we ordered 3, plus the tickets, which equaled 6 burgers, but they didn't include an extra fries and soda, and I just got confused... OY.
So...the rest of the day was homework, practicing guitar, and talking to Vy. (At Vy's house on Friday, there was a study group/party thing...)
So...after 5 AM, I started to get ready for the Homecoming Dance! I showered, put on my clothes, found my gloves, and opened the bag with my mask in it! (Actually, Diana did it.)
It was a mask, with rainbow and silver sequins (I think that's what they're called...) with black and white feathers (like a zebra!) in a lion fashion around the mask.
So my mom drove me to Kathy's house around 6:38 PM, and I went in. Kathy was eating, all of us exchanged compliments on each other's costumes/clothes. But Nam wasn't formal-dressed. Just...black tennis shoes, blue jeans, and a black jacket. Chi had a light blue (different layers/transparent-almost) gown with strapped high heels. Kathy was wearing a black gown (transparent-almost) with strapped high heels and her red "phoenix" feather mask!
Oh! Chi's mom and dad, plus Dai were there too!
We took a lot of photos, with and without masks.
Then we headed off to the dance!
OH MY GOSH. I have to tell you. That night was CRAZY. I'm NOT EXAGGERATING. Here, I'll explain.
Kathy, Nam, me, and Chi got out of the car and tried walking through the back. Of course, they didn't let us out, but they did let us walk across to the front, where we gave out our tickets.
Of course, Nam didn't HAVE a ticket, and they didn't let him in because he had blue jeans. Chi, being his date, also left him.
The later story: Chi and Nam didn't want to hang around for four hours, so they HITCHHIKED a ride with a RANDOM STRANGER to the corner of the highway by Zach's house and walked there...
Chi: What if someone kidnaps us...?
Zach: *jumps out from behind* HI GUYS!
-----
Kathy and I were gonna take pictures. The pictures costed $16, but Kathy didn't want to spend the $20 she got from her mom.
The later story: When we DID decide to go take the photos, Kathy couldn't find her $20 in her purse!!! We looked around, but couldn't!!! OYY...
-----
Well...at the beginning of the dance, the feathers from my mask started breaking off. SHOOT. WHY?!
I saw Dominique (the girl) there! She looked so lovely... her hair was down (instead of in a ponytail like it usually was) and she was wearing a black gown. She tagged along every then and a while with me and Kathy.
AHH!!! I found out Dominique knows ASL!!! She says she doesn't like to let people know that. And she wouldn't translate for me...
I saw Geraldine sitting with her Deaf friends at the corner of the commons, and I went over and talked with her. I met her friends, Carolina and Miriam. Also, another ASL teacher there! We had a small chat. (I used what little sign language I knew. *laughs*) I kept coming back every now and then...
Dancing with Kathy was so fun! It was hard to do some of them... (Rhythm I got down. Moves? She said I looked kinda stiff. *laughs*)
I also slow danced with Dominique once.
Kai and Vy; we finally found them! Kai was wearing a suit and bow tie, and Vy in a lovely sparkling blue-black gown... Kai kept pressing himself against Vy's back and hugging... (They did that too much!)
I later went dancing with Geraldine and her friends. The ASL translator came with us and showed us some dance moves. *laughs* And when a slow dance came up, I danced with Geraldine. The lights flicked on though, and I thought the dance had ended... (But truth was, most of the guys and girls dancing together were pressing REAL CLOSE to each other while dancing...)
Ahh...there was also the Macarena, which I forgot how to do. Miriam and Carolina helped me with that...
At the table, Carolina and I talked to each other through her Sidekick. (Typing to each other.) But Miriam and Carolina had to go somewhere... The ASL teacher left, and Dominique left with her mom a little bit earlier than that. Geraldine said her mom was outside and that she had to go home, but I wanted to meet her mom.
Her mom's Vietnamese, and we talked a lot with each other! It was nice. *laughs* She says I'm the only Asian friend she has. (Really??? I thought there were other... Huh...) Miriam and Carolina came down, and sat on the bench with Geraldine and we signed (talking through sign language) to each other, until Alex told me that Kathy was looking for me.
YEAH. Kathy was looking for me! She had been looking for me EVERYWHERE. Ugh. We started to dance, and the conga line pushed down the poles that had balloons tied to them and held up banners.
Well, Kathy was taking a picture, but she SLIPPED on soda on the floor, and BANGED her mouth on the metal pole and knocked it down, and her digital camera fell down and broke into pieces! Kathy and I looked for her pieces, but we found them all, luckily. (We were so scared because we thought we lost the memory card, where all the pictures were! But it really was inside the camera all along... *sweats*)
Well, Kathy's mom picked us up, along with her sister and dad, and we drove to Zach's house, where we picked up Nam and Chi. And I was SCREAMING about Chi and Nam hitchhiking to Zach's house. (Read what I said earlier...)
They drove to their house, Chi's parents picked her up, and Nam's dad drove me home.
I got home around 1 AM in the morning, took a shower, and headed to bed...
It WAS a CRAZY DAY, right?
Sunday/Today
I woke up around...9 AM (?) and started doing my homework. I ate lunch, changed clothes, and my mom drove all of us to church.
At church, Andy was playing a Super Mario song! It sounded nice! But it got old after a while... Dalena and Andy were fighting with each other, and while they were fighting, Dalena's soda shook up and spilled all over the piano! But Andy found a towel and cleaned it up. (Problem was: It looked like he peed himself. He yelled to passerbyers, "I PEED ON MYSELF!")
Later on, I took a Viet Ngu test to choose what class I could go to next year... After finishing it (even way PAST the bell for Confirmation class!), Thay Qua (?) put me in Lop 7. Yay! I think...?
In Confirmation, we heard a testimony (on tape) about a girl who hung out with a group, thinking she could make them better. Instead, she became like them, drinking, smoking, doing drugs. And there was a point where her guy friends invited her to a motel, and she drank something, and became unconcious. There, she saw heaven and hell, and what would happen.
We got these pressed coin thingys! (Put in a penny, twist it, and it becomes flat and is engraved with something!) Ours had the Ten Commandments, but one was wrong and made everything out of order...
Life Teen mass started...15 minutes late, and the singing today was a bit different...
I said bye to everyone, and when we got home, Suc Fah and Suc Kung (with their daughter?) were parked in our garage, ready to buy fish.
And Diana and I ate...and now, here I am.

Weird weekend I've had, right?
