Yesterday/Wednesday
In the morning...I sat by Ivan, with his hood up, and we just spent the morning...chewing gum.
Oh, did I tell you? Janelle broke her Nintendo DS touchpad...by dropping it in her toilet. (This happened Monday/Tuesday, I think?)
In IPC...urrr...earlier that day, Mrs. Brown was having a conference, so the class stood outside for a while. Babetta and I were talking with Hanny and Chelsea, with Hanny trying to convince us that Chelsea was evil.
Babetta: "Making a crippled run! How evil (Chelsea)!"
Yeah...Hanny hurt her leg, and Chelsea kept running ahead, not waiting for Hanny...
We did a lab. We mixed calcium bicarbonate with (another chemical) and phenol red and water and it caused the chemicals to turn into hot, bubbling, yellow foam... Pretty neat. (People kept rubbing it on their skin because it was so warm... But you can get chemical burns from that. Oh, so you know, we did these labs in paper bags...so we don't damage it.)
On the bus later that day, Danny was explaining to me how his group kept sniffing the gas inside the bag. (GAH! You weren't supposed to open it!) They said, "It smells like burnt rubber tires..." and stuff like that. (DUR! It was PURE carbon dioxide!)
In Transition, Karen and me went over more Korean stuff! *laughs*
In lunch...I sat with Jonathan, Chi, and Zach. (I hadn't done that in a while!) But it was so quiet... And when Alma and Dalisa came over (they were passing by to go outside), I started sign to them, and Zach just commented that it looked weird... *laughs* Okay...
In Fitness...urr...we just sat on the bleachers...listened to music...did silly things, such as playing frisbee amongst each other. And then there was this one time that Kai tried to push me off the edge (AGAIN) just because I made a comment about that family again. I don't know why, but at the beginning of class, Raul gave us fruit nicknames. Raul was "Apple", I think. I was "Grapes" at first, but Raul changed mines to "Tangerine"! Raul gave Kai the nickname "Kiwi". (Just because both started with the letter "K".) I don't know why, but I think I saw Kai's eyes getting watery at that point...almost like he was about to cry...
Now that I think about it, wasn't Kiwi ("Chiwi", actually) the nickname Kai gave to Chi...? Huh...
Then we changed it to "Kumquat", but we didn't know what was, so we gave up on it altogether.
Oh...I met my Hispanic uncles. The Prince of Darkness and the Hispanic Shorty (Shortie)??? (I forgot...something like that.)
After that, I rode the bus home, where I sat with Danny (which I haven't done in a LONG TIME!) and talked... His friend kept looking at us...back and forth. *stares*
Danny said he had to take a test today. It was for students who spoke a foreign language, and they had to take a test to see how good their English comprehension was. (But Danny was born in the U.S....) So, when we went to the test, they asked him questions like, "What animal breathes underwater?" and tried to use big words like this: "Don't worry, this is just a randomization standarization test." (That contradicts itself. If it's standarized, it can't be considered standarized...) And whenever he got it right, the teacher could clap happily and say, "Good job!"
After that, I got a haircut! (The next year, Lauren groaned because I cut my hair short again.)
Then I went off to church! I met up with Theresa (that's Thi's cousin!), and later, Na Nhi, Tung, and Diana (my friend) came later...
We had fun waiting for JAM to begin. There was a girl trying to pet a scared dog outside, trying to call the dog closer to her. And then Theresa went all crazy over Son and another girl (Anna???), who took her phone (to talk to her friend), and she ran into the room they were hiding in, and started screaming. *bursts out laughing* She also chased around a guy in the cold just to touch his abs, I think.
When you see Theresa like that, it's no wonder how her and Thi are related. *laughs*
The guy's name, at first I thought, was Tri. But then he said it was Chris Lee. (Was he kidding??? I dunno.)
And...Quang's a DJ??? (I was listening to the songs before the JAM started, and they were techno-like songs, mixed by Quang himself...) Huh...
It was fun! We sang a ton of songs, and then we played a game where we had to guess what we were... (They stuck a piece of paper on our back with a word and we had to tell the person what they were...without telling the person what they were using the words on the paper.)
Na Nhi was "a seed". So I said:
"I'm gonna kill you, bury you, then drown you, and leave you in the sun to burn!"
Na Nhi: "I'm so sad! I think I'm gonna cry!"
Oh yeah...when we were getting our tags, Na Nhi and I acted like we were being interrogated...and frisked. *laughs*
Then we went on a scavenger hunt for clues around the church! It was fun! But I gotta tell you...the church is CREEPY at night. Especially when you're walking around a church...with no one around you. (Now I know what the "Scooby Doo" characters feel like.)
Mimi and I were the ones that look around especially... We even went outside, where my mom saw me, and honked the horn. Mimi jumped up, hid behind the door, and said, "Who's that?!"
Me: *looks* "Oh, that's just my mom."
She thought she witnessed something like a murder... (Because it's all quiet, and then you hear a car horn.)
After that, we went inside and started praying. One of the TAs started telling a story about how we are so lucky to be in this country, with other people in poor countries not having or not being able to do what we do daily.
And after we prayed, we started singing songs, and I turn, and I hear a girl sobbing. After the song went on, I saw that a bunch of girls were starting to sob.
In our church, usually when someone starts crying, they finally understanding what the love of God actually means. But this was my first time witnessing it... They were all Confirmation I students, new to this, and so...I guess they never took their religion as deeply as they should until now...
I turn to my right, and see Theresa crying...a soft, quiet cry... And I also saw the girl that was playing with the dog crying, real hard.
And before the JAM was over, all the girls that cried had already left.
Awww...my mom picked me up, and I went home, showered, and talked online.
I started talking to Thi, and I found out that Thi knew about the incident that happened at church. But she didn't know the details and wanted me to explain.
Today
AGHH... I went to the bus stop, and I was freezing as heck! (Temperature was 45 degrees...) I had a sweater, but it didn't keep me warm. WAH. By the time I got to school, I got a runny nose. UGH.
In P.E., I just listened to music...
DGaA - Our teacher wasn't there, so we got work...except we did that work already, so we had nothing to do that period! We just talked amongst ourselves. Ah, our sub was Mrs. Jones, who I found out was my Geometry teacher's mom! (But my Geometry teacher doesn't really...like her mom. And makes her take medication...or something like that.)
I talked to Geraldine about Thanksgiving, and she said she and her family are going to Lauren's grandparent's house for Thanksgiving. (Her family doesn't cook.) And then she describes the food that she likes to eat. (Gah, I got hungry...)
I also got to know how Mrs. Thompson got interested in sign language! When she was younger, she had a Deaf neighbor girl, and she would always go to play with her. At first, she learned her ABCs, and would fingerspell to her. Her dad was a preacher, and there was a translator there each Sunday, and she would look and stare, and say, "WOW, that is so AWESOME!" She'd always be signing words when no one was looking (I do the same!), and in high school, she realized that's what she wanted to do.
Then we got into conversation into colleges. Geraldine either wants to go to CSUN or Gallaudet. She can't decide. So she's deciding to cut herself in half, and one part goes to each school. *laughs*
In Lunch, I sat with Miriam, and I got to meet her friends, Derrick and Mat. Ah, it was fun meeting them. I got to translate what they were saying, and Mat was interested because I knew how to sign...and I had only been learning for a month! *laughs*
Shoaib kinda looked a bit...ugh at them. (Whenever someone speaks around him, and he doesn't understand, he'll get angry. Aww...)
In Geometry today, we played Jeopardy, and I was with Tina! At first, we only had 100 points, but from a Double Jeopardy question, we gained 1000 in the end! (Thus, making 1100!) So, for our test, we get 11 bonus points. (YIPPEE!)
So outside to talk! Oy! Shoaib's bus was late again...and they taught me how to sign "when" correctly! (And I had been doing it wrong all this time!) And I think they signed the word for "hump" (yes, you think pervertedly...because that's what it means...), but I pretended not to understand. *sweats*
After that, I went to the club, where I tried to finish my essay, but was interrupted by Nestor trying to find music, then Mariah playing a shoot game, and then people take turns on my computer account playing online games. (GAHH!!!!!!!)
I never did finish it... And it's already a few days late. AW SHOOT. *shakes head*
We went to Uncyclopedia to look up weird definitions... *laughs*
After that, Aaron, Alvin, Mariah, Matthew, and I went to go eat. Cheese popcorn (me), soda (me), candy (me, but everyone took), hot dogs (not me)... (Man, we're such pigs! *laughs*) But everyone took my candy...
On the ride home, I spent time talking to Dominique and Aaron...cards, love, and plus with Akhil, we kept trying to see auras and read minds.
Then after I got home, I ate...and now, I'm here.
I was just talking to Alaina, Vu, and Shoaib left early. So did Alex. And Awi. And now I'm talking to Shanna.
I'll see you guys later!
