sidewalk chalk
so i was dreading today cuz we had to do sidewalk chalk on main street.. they do this every year for art 2 and up.. the newspaper sponsors it and they give out cash prizes of like $150 or something like that... we have to get in a group with at least one person but none of my friends are in art so i just kinda got drafted into a group with 2 senior girls that i dont know... Mrs. Cook (art teacher) said they claimed me when they saw the pics i did of her daughters, lol
the theme was america and my partners came up the our idea for it so luckily i didnt have to think a whole lot about what i was goin to do,lol...they had me draw 3 tourists walking and they drew U.S. attraction collaged in the background... we had from 9:00 to 3:00 to work on it but it sucked cuz it rained for like 2 hours and rain and chalk dont go well together.... but it ended up looking pretty good or at least better than i expected it too...several ppl came by and commented on it while we were working and i thought that was really neat.. we even had a group of ppl from Denmark come by and take pictures of ours which is pretty cool cuz usually in rural oklahoma u just dont meet ppl from Denmark, lol.. but anyways, ill find out in a couple days if we won anything, which i hope we did...
and i also took some pictures of it and ill probably be submitting them on here once i get them developed...
