I'm the lone survivor / guardian!
You're the lone survivor / guardian! You are a
recluse that the hero may stumble upon in some
ancient ruin or in a desolate wasteland, saying
very little and with a sad look in your eyes.
Odds are that these ruins contain some clues as
to your identity: you are probably from a
civilization that was wiped out in some
cataclysmic event, leaving you alone and
frightened. Either your people held some sort
of powerful magic or technology, or were the
guardians of some ancient power/relic that the
forces of evil wished to claim, at any rate you
felt obligated to stay and carry on your race's
duties alone, so you are withdrawn and shy
around people. Once the hero stumbles upon
you, the evil forces that destroyed your
homeland are sure to follow once more, and you
will require the party's help despite the
powerful and rare magic only you now possess.
Afterwards you will travel with the group in
order to better carry out your duties,
eventually opening up to your new friends and
finding happiness in the company of others once
more.
