   Why Exams Stink

dammit dammit dammit I hate exams. Those toffs at the university with there stupid exam ideas grr

Why is it that exams exist? I am doing a computing degree; I'm good at what I do, I can do what I do, I know what I'm doing - but I screw up exams. Why? Because I have a crap memory. Hell, I can't remember what I had for tea last night..

Exams don't test knowledge, they test memory. This to me seems ridiculous. Because I have a bad memory, does that make me stupid? No. Because I can't remember equations does that make me less intelligent than someone with a photographic memory? No.

Exams should test understanding; not what rubbish you can remember.

I've failed one - another tomorrow. Wish me luck.

   Merry Crimbo!

I think Ill start updating here, since hopefully Ill be a proper staff member soon with the launch of VV =)

So as Adam keeps mentioning, he has nearly completed the VV coding. I'm impressed with his progress, I occasionally dabble with php, and I must admit I've learn some new methods whilst sneaking a look at the code behind VV which he wrote; i'm impressed.

Really looking forward to the launch; as long as I don't get crucified by people hating the design...should be ok though :p
