Deformed Pac-Men and an oddly fruity smell...
Mood: Very tired.
Anime craving: Actually, I could go for some Lemon Snickets.
This entry isn't going to make sense. I think I got around 4 or 5 hours of sleep. >.>
So, I finally went out last night with a group of friends to see Howl's Moving Castle. It was very, very good. But, then again, I'm a Miyazaki fangirl... And I even learned a few things:
1. Kiss a lot of inanimate objects.
2. Never rearrange a wizard's potions.
3. Scarecrows need lovin' too.
4. War is stupid.
It was far more amusing because my goodly gay friend was sitting next to me and making all sorts of amusing comments about Howl and him being very...er...nice-looking. He also kept cursing at all the dramatic scenes. With a bunch of little kids nearby, no less. XD Howl looks eerily like a bigger, blonde Haku. Did anyone else notice that? And Sophie is a lot like a cross between Kiki and Sheeta. Sophie, Scarlett, it's the year of the "s"!
...sorry. I think I lost a few people. ^^;;
The Nintendo DS is my new guilty pleasure. I was playing with a sample at the mall yesterday. Way more fun than I thought it would be. Unfortunately, it revealed that three years of art classes didn't do much for my ability to draw a circle. XD
Momma got a work laptop. I told her that the leather carrying case smells oddly fruity. She gave me the crazy look.
Yaaaay, llamas.
Oh, yeah. I just got word that Animerica, one of the best anime magazines in North America, is no more! And it got replaced with Shoujo Beat. O___o Sigh. I was seriously hoping to start freelancing with them too. ;.; Hopefully, I can get my hands on the last issue. How sad...
More pet peeves: reality TV, self-checkout/self-serve, movie remakes, books turning into (bad) movies (to be fair, Lemon Snickets, HP, and LotR were quite good), people who write stupid "gangsta" crap (recent example from my guestbook: "you just been pimped my koga's pack"), rabid fangirls/fanboys (like, really rabid), and rude people.
Some Howl's pictures coming a bit later, if I can find some good ones. ^^

Mushrooms that just might be edible
Mood: Lethargic
Current song: Yasashii Yoake- See Saw
Anime craving: .hack anything ^^
Yes, I'm still alive. See? New theme. It's not exactly what I want, but it'll do for now. I've been wanting to go green for a time, but I didn't know that the offenders would stick out so much. ^^;; I decided to change the layout of the offenders so it would be easier to read and to find your name (I alphabetized!). So, hopefully I can build from there. I just decided Shaman King out of the blue, event though I'd already done a SK theme. I really wanted to do Spirited Away (I'm in the middle of a Miyazaki kick, especially with Howl's Moving Castle here), but I couldn't find good quality screenshots... Sigh.
Summer's been rather dull so far. I don't really have a way to get anywhere (someone really needs to learn to drive ^^;;), so I've been home all day. And the computer's been acting wonky lately; I think some viruses are left over from my last sweep and I'm at a loss on how to get rid of them. My luck with computers is terrible. It'll work for everyone else, except me, the one who does the matinence. I really need to get going on my community service (a graduation requirement), but I'm not sure what I want to do. Even more pressing is how I'll get there. Bus transportation? Eeks. O__o I'm way too nervous around people for that. ^^;;
In my downtime, I did manage to get a little further in Kindom Hearts. I'm finally off Destiny Island and won my second boss battle (though I had to try three or four times ^^;;). I actually recognize some of the characters from Final Fantasy (even though I haven't played much of it). I wonder if Sephiroth is one of the evil people... Ah, I'd probably know; I know that man's life story and I haven't even touched Final Fantasy VII. >.>;; So...many...fangirls... @,@
Not much really getting done (though stuff should, theoretically be getting done). I'm in one of my artistic slumps and writer's block had taken over slowly and surely while I was busy keeping the 3v1ls of public education at bay.
Oh, right, sorry. I forgot that Bluehawk (or was it Number 5?) asked me about that last post. Well, the version of One Piece that I was unwittingly subjected to is the North American dub, produced by 4Kids. I have a personal vendetta against 4Kids, primarly because they take shows that, in North America, would be considered teenage-level shows and dumb them down so much that they only vaguely resemble the original version. And the dubbing is horrible. I mean, when I first heard Luffy's voice, I kept clearing my throat. It sounds like he has a small animal trapped in his trachea... Though, it's nothing compared to some of the Finnish dubs I've heard (I think they were supposed to be screaming, but it just sounded like a person on crack falling over and struggling to get up). So, yay North America. >.>
I have a crazy urge to watch Gundam Wing in German, just to see how Heero's voice is in the German dub. XD I dunno why. >.>
The crazy, it just won't stop!
Well, that's about it for now, kiddo. Kiddo's a funny word. XD

Millennium flips the bird to the public education system
Mood: Free!
Current music: Burden in my hand- Soundgarden
Anime craving: Castle in the Sky Laputa
Finally, finally free from the clutches of the public education system...for now. *shudders* I still have work to do over the summer, but no more waking up at 5 (as if I ever woke up on time anyway).
Been deeply considering a theme change or at least some additions, but I'm feeling horribly uninspired today. Actually, this month. O___o So, hopefully that'll change.
My friend gave me a bunch of his old games a few days ago and I've been trying (and failing) to play them. Lesee, I got Castlevania, StarOcean, and MegaMan Anniversary collection. I did make some progress on Dark Cloud 2 some time ago. Crazy clowns and their gigantic death robots.
Seriously hoping to hang out with some friends this weekend because a couple of my senior friends have graduated. I'm so excited for them! Unfortunately, that means that we'll be even more out of touch than usual... Well, that's what e-mail is for. Speaking of which, I probably should spend some of the summer catching up with my family/friends scattered all over.
I wonder, has anyone seen the (horrible) dub for One Piece? The ending song cracks me up. If you haven't heard it, it goes something like this:
Gotta go, gotta go, gotta go, woah. Gotta go, gotta go, gotta go, woah.
For about three minutes. And I laugh every time because it reminds me of those commercials for bladder control medicine. Luffy? Is there another side effect to the Devil's fruit that you're too embarrassed to talk about? XD The voices are horrible, so I try to watch it with closed caption on because I missed some of the beginning of the series. Even the closed caption is horrible. Misspellings, entire words left out, half-sentences. So, I figure I've got a friend whose obsessed with One Piece. Mebbe I'll just borrow some of her stuff. O___o
Word of the day: Machetear- Spanish verb: to hit with a machete. Machetearse- to hit oneself with a machete.
It's a real word. I think I misspelled it, though.
The tests went okay. I owned the Spanish test, but Psychology, well, er...might have scored a bit low... It's partially my own laziness and partially my teacher's incompetence.
Anyway, I think I'm gonna go explore or something. If I can still navigate theO.

But, I've got to go NOW!

The fine art of barfing psychology.
Mood: Woozy
Anime craving: Tsubasa Reservior Chronicle
Music: "Pale Green Stars"- Everclear
Sooooo, yeah. Not dead, but close. Just came back from a hellish psychology test. ;.; My head feels horrible and I seem to have left my motor coordination at the testing site. I've walked into about four separate walls, spilled an entire canister of chips, dropped a few things, and fell over once. Yeah. That's not normal for me, by the way. I almost never fall. This was only that national test, too. I have the international test next week and it's all essay! *dies* So, massive cramming this weekend.
Did I mention that I hate studying?
Now would probably be a good time to explain IB since everyone seems so confuzuzuzled about it. Basically, it's this international program for motivated/crazy students. In order to get the diploma you must take and pass every required class (though you get to choose a few), pass the international exams (the national exams are only for some classes because the curriculms overlap; they don't contribute to the diploma), do a 1500-word essay for each class, do a 3000-word essay, do community service (though it is very specifically defined and divided into three sections where you have to have 50 hours in each section), and take Theory of Knowledge and write the essay. You have to gain a certain number of points in order to pass. Each exam is 7 points and you get other points from the essays and community service.
In sum, it's a pain in the ass.
I'm in it for no particular reason. I just started up in 6th grade in the pre-IB program that preps you for two years of hell.
Ha ha.
Anyway, I only have two more tests left, but they're both the IB tests! Augh...essays... And finals if I have to take them (which is almost assured in history; I'm such a slacker). And maybe I'll actually work on my art portfolio, but probably not. I'm too tired.
Oh, Mimmi wanted to know about the convention. It was pretty fun, but I'm still enamored on last year's because it was, well, my first. That and they showed better series. Most of the ones this year were either blatant fanservice or super-heavy drama, neither of which I really like. And I'd seen all the episodes of Bleach that they were showing. My camera didn't like the lighting in the main hall either. *sigh* Anyway, it was pretty cool. The dealer's room was much bigger (mebbe I'll show you what I bought ^^) and we had an actual musical guest that didn't cancel at the last minute. I really wanted to go to more of the main events (like the cosplay contest and the closing ceremonies), but the crowd was too big. I actually sat in on some panels, though. The voice actor panels were hilarious. I'm definitely showing up for them next time. The costumes were okay, but there weren't that many striking ones and this convention was spread between three buildings, so it was hard to find people (and events). But, pretty good overall. I hope to spiff up my camera (it needs soo much more memory...and a case...and I want to invest in rechargable batteries...) and perhaps slap together a costume, preferably with a cosplay group.
Ah, well. I just discovered that I have a cable channel devoted to anime. Crazy stuff. We all know my summer plans. ^^;;
Anyway, thanks for posting. Sorry about being AWOL. I'll get better soon! If I survive my tests, that is.

So long and thanks for all the fish...
Mood: Irritatingly bouncy
Anime craving: Gundam SEED
Current music: "Fortune Faded" -Red Hot Chili Peppers
I've been crazy mad busy all week. O___o I had a two-day history test, a history paper (most of which I wrote the night before it was due), and a biology test on evolution (blech). Buuuut, now I'm bascially done for the year. All I have to worry about are my AP and IB tests. Lesee, I have AP English Language, AP Psychology, IB Spanish, and IB Psychology. Not so bad, right? My nerves are totally shot, though.
For some reason, though, I've been going out on weekends for the past three weeks or so. I mean, there was the convention, then I saw Sin City last Saturday, and I just saw The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy last night. Insanity, yo. It's all been rather enjoyable, though. Sin City was well done. It was a pretty dark movie theme-wise, but it was all so artful. And Elijah Wood eats people. And Bruce Willis is awesome in the entire flick. The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy was pretty good, but there was an entire 45-minute scene not anywhere in the book. It's funny in its own right, what with the offical "So long and thanks for all the fish" song. I still prefer the book because the language is funnier. I mean, in the book, Ford convinces the head demolition guy to take Arthur's place in the mud in front of the bulldozer, which was funny beyond words. And there were grammar jokes, which are always awesome: "To boldy spilt infinitives as they've never been split before." XD What was frightening was the fact that so many different people had showed up to see it, many of whom were random people I knew (outside of the anime club, which labelled this as an unoffical club event, so a bunch showed up). Crazyness.
Sorry for blowing your mind with the God question. Eheh. I really shouldn't think so much. ^^;; Thanks for your answers, though.
Ah, I managed to see all of the first DVD of Spiral. Awesome, primarily because of the white-haired British bishounen and Ayumu's interest in butcher knives. O___o
Well, I'm gonna get going. I get to wash the dogs this afternoon. Yay.

Aboriginal crayons and the meaning of life.
Mood: Es-freakin-static!
Anime craving: InuYasha
Aaah, finally a weekend with good prospects. I don't have any homework and I get to go to a convention with my friends. Cosplaying lamely (i.e. I snatch whatever I think looks anime-ish out of my closet and pretend to be someone). I'm so excited! ^^
The oh-so-adorable kittens are going to be a year old on Tuesday. They've gotten huge! The boy, Rocky, is bigger than my adult male! O__o My sister wants to throw them a party. ^^;; I haven't posted any pictures recently, but here are some pretty recent pictures:
Rocky in his usual sleeping position
Jasmine found my stash of yarn...
Actually, I was wondering something philosophical/religious earlier. If, according to the Bible (which must be inexplicably Capitalized), we are made in God's image, does that mean that he has the same flaws? I mean, we're his mirror image, right? So, am I right? And if that doesn't twist your mind too much, why would this God person allow men to have the capacity for evil? What's the point?
Yeah, I think too much. @.@
Oh, if you haven't noticed by now, I've changed the site again. Dunno why, really. >.> Just another casualty in my quest to please my artistic urges. ^^;;
Well, I'm out of material. Er...er...HAH! *turns into a kitty and runs off*

*Blargblargblarg*
Mood: Irritated
Anime craving: Madlax
I reaaally don't like daylight savings. I was just getting used to having daylight while waiting for the bus and now it'll be dark again! And I missed an hour of sleep. ;.; I was reading in the newspaper that people become irritable after daylight savings because their sleeping schedule has been thrown off. Blah. Now I get to deal with irritable idiots. >.>
Eheh. Sorry I'm so pessimistic today, but my week was Horrible.
Monday: Turned in GIGANTIC DOOM ASSIGNMENT. Teacher then decided to tell us formatting corrections and how to do statistics on this DOOM ASSIGNMENT. Was uber-pissed. She really should have told us, uh, before break... Illogical! *explodes* Also ran out of black ink. Hella hard Spanish crap all week. ;.;
Tuesday: Still extremely irritated. Got lectured by same teacher for formatting errors. X__x Got lectured by art teacher for having an unsatisfactory sketchbook.
Wednesday: Stayed up until 2 AM doing history homework.
Thrusday: Teacher guilt-tripped us. History quiz. Felt like exploding.
Friday: Tests I forgot about. Notebook check I forgot about. Really tired. Hella hard Spanish quiz.
BLARRRGH! *explodes*
On the bright side, I didn't have a lot of homework this weekend, so it was nice and relaxing in a way. I spent a good deal of yesterday's waking hours watching an extremely amusing Jet Li movie from China. Then I had to help my mom rip up the 25-year-old carpet in her bedroom. Got 25 years worth of dust and dirt in my respiratory system. X__x Then, I went to the mall with some friends and did crazy stuff. I picked up the Excel Saga manga and bought my friend a belated birthday present. He enjoys writing angsty poetry. ^^
Today was much less enjoyable. Toyed with my gad dern computer, which promptly exploded. Actually, I just had to restart it a couple of times because it stopped recognizing the mouse. >.>;; My CD burninator decided not to work properly, so all the new images I wanted to put up are lost... BLARRRRRGH! *explodeexplode*
This week will be better. Or else.
Shankyou for commenting, darlings. ^^

Eheh. "Challanges." XD

Onegai shiimasu...
Mood: Sadly thoughtful.
Anime craving: .hack//SIGN
Fall is here, hear the yell
back to school, ring the bell
brand new shoes, walking blues
climb the fence, books and pens
I can tell that we're going to be friends
So, spring break's been crappy overall. I haven't gotten a thing done and I still have homework to do. ;.; It's been one of those times when I'm very displeased with everything: the MyO layout, my fanfictions, anything I draw, the state of my bedroom...
Walk with me, Suzy Lee
through the park and by the tree
we will rest upon the ground
and look at all the bugs we found
then safely walk to school
without a sound
However, I have almost caught up with movies. ^^ I saw The Incredibles, Steamboy, and The Last Samurai. I still have a few movies left to see, but mebbe next time. *sigh*
Well here we are, no one else
we walked to school all by ourselves
there's dirt on our uniforms
from chasing all the ants and worms
we clean up and now its time to learn
It's been very rainy lately, which makes Hikari very emo. I thought it was April showers that bring May flowers. Speaking of which, I can't believe that I have IB exams in about a month! Augh! I've got to start cramming!
Nevermind.
Numbers, letters, learn to spell
nouns, and books, and show and tell
at playtime we will throw the ball
back to class, through the hall
teacher marks our height
against the wall
I decided to put a background behind my posts so's you can actually read them. ^^;; 'cause that's pretty important.
And we don't notice any time pass
we don't notice anything
we sit side by side in every class
teacher thinks that I sound funny
but she likes the way you sing
I did pick up some new books and I'm in love. ^____^ Lesee, I got the fourth Chrno Crusade and Interview with the Vampire by Anne Rice and Angels and Demons by Dan Brown. Which means that I'll be totally absorbed for the next few weeks. ^^;;
Well, that's about it. I thinks I'm gonna tinker a bit. ^^
Tonight I'll dream while in my bed
when silly thoughts go through my head
about the bugs and alphabet
and when I wake tomorrow I'll bet
that you and I will walk together again
cause I can tell that we're going to be friends

Jive master Hikari.
Mood: Gad dern allergies!
Anime craving: something Miyazaki
Music: "Will I" -Ian Van Dahl
Happy Spring! Or, for those of you in the Southern Hemisphere...Happy Autumn! I love spring, my body doesn't. ;.;
Anyway, I'm actually on Spring Break now! Finally! And I think I did decent in most of my classes. ^_^ So, I get to spend about a week hanging out, playing video games, and watching all those movies I still haven't seen.
Unfortunately, there's never anything to watch on TV. I'm wondering what the phenomenon is with Texas Hold 'Em. Why the hell would you want to watch a bunch of people playing cards? I mean, even in anime! I love Yu-Gi-Oh!, but I can't sit through some of the dueling episodes because I get really bored. And golf. My dad loves watching golf. I fall asleep in the recliner within seconds. >.> Needs angry rock music. :3
Commenty reply:
Mimmi: Yay, buns and milk! *is a carbomaniac* Most people on MyO are from the U.S., but there are some from the Phillipines, Austrailia, Sweden, and England. Wonder why a lot are in the U.S...
Number 5: Eheh, I'm already too lazy to do anything. ^^;; I still go to sites with the those annoyances, but I get irritated afterwards. >.<
Selena: I know. I have sit down and read the post, like, four times if everything is really misspelled. Not saying that I don't misspell or make typos, but there is a limit. >.>;;
Philfoula: Of course! Your site is one of my favourites. ^^
weirdkid13: Hem. The problem with background music is that some people, such as myself, surf the net while listening to music. It's really annoying when another song cuts in or is much louder than the music one is listening to at the time. It's okay to have it as that link thingie under the user picture (where mine is) because users can decide whether or not to listen.
spirit gun2: Aah, it's okay. I know that everyone gets busy (I'm constantly busy ;.;), so I can't expect everyone to comment all the time. ^^
Loverly spring. Hope you enjoy it.

*spork wound*
Mood: Tired as a llama
Anime craving: InuYasha
Current song: "Another Word for Desperate" -Straylight Run.
I'm going to list, for the last time, what pisses MC off about myO sites. Obey or suffer my spork-pokings!
1. Background music.
2. Broken image links in the intro.
3. More than 5 pictures in the intro, especially if they're large. I hate scrolling.
4. Entries with no content (why are you wasting my time?).
5. Flaming.
6. Bad spelling.
7. Atrocious colour schemes.
8. Fangirls/boys gushing over their favourite hot guy over and over again. I get it, okay?
Meh. I really shouldn't surf before posting. Sorry. I'm really tired and frazzled today. I think I'll go to sleep after this. I really need it. ;.;
MC's to do list:
1. World Lit paper (1500 words)
2. Math project (5 parts, my quarterly exam)
3. Annotated bibliography for history.
4. Sketch book (quarterly exam)
5. Study for in-class essay in Spanish. (blech).
BLAAAAH!
I officially docked Bleach a few cool points for the fairies. >.< FAIRIES?!
By the way, I was wondering what nationality everyone thinks I am. Not going to tell, but I was just wondering. ^^;;
