Where's my hovercar?!
Hey there, everyone! Hope your new year is going good so far. Mine looks about the same as last year. >.> Anyway, thanks for all the posts and birthday wishes. ^^
As customary with the coming of a new month, I've changed my theme. It's sad to see InuYasha go, but it'll return once I run out of ideas...in about seven years. O.o Regardless, I have a new theme- Card Captor Sakura. If you've never seen it before, the basic story is that a girl (roughly ten years old) finds a book in her basement that was uncovered years ago in an archeological dig (her father is an archeologist). She ignores it until it randomly falls off the shelf. When she picks it up, the lock undoes itself and she pokes inside. It's full of cards! She flips over the first card and reads the name "Windy" aloud. Suddenly all this crazy wind comes out of nowhere and the cards are carried away by it- even through the walls and ceiling! Then, this little plushie-looking thing comes out of the book with a key and tells the girl that she must recapture the cards or they could destroy the world. So, yeah, that's basically what happens. I suppose I'll talk briefly about some of the characters. The American/Canadian name is in parenthesis ^^ and the last name is given first in the Japanese names:
Kinomoto Sakura (Sakura Avalon): the girl that unleashes the cards. Optimistic, outgoing, and energetic, she is quite popular.
Li Syaoran (Li Showron): this guy from China that acts as Sakura's rival in capturing the cards.
Daidouji Tomoyo (Madison Taylor): Sakura's second cousin and best friend. She designs costumes for and tapes Sakura's card-capturing expeditions. She is very good at reading emotions.
Kinomoto Toya (Tori Avalon): Sakura's brother with a sixth sense.
Kinomoto Fujitaka (Aiden Avalon): Sakura's father. He has no magical ablilites.
Li Mei-Lin (Mei-Lin Rei): Syaoran's childhood friend who has a very deep interest in Syaoran. She has no magical powers, but has training in the martial arts (not present in the manga).
Whew. I think that covers it. ^-^ Well, I'm gonna go read some fanfics (I spent most of the afternoon editing my own ^^;;). Here's a spiff-tacular quiz. Hope you all like the new theme!
