Want some whine to go with that ban?
The latest update in the Shatterheart situation:
http://www.christiananime.net/forums/showpost.php?postid=59374&postcount=66
LOL. . .if he was sincere, he could have edited his posts (at least, to remove the false allegation of my sending "bad" links via the PM system and the even worse allegations that I was promoting hentai and engaging in sexual immorality) or even done so and apologized for his slanderous posts.
Instead, he chose to blame me, misunderstanding, and those who saw him as a tantrum-throwing troll who's above his board's own law for the "problems." >.<
In reply to his accusation that I didn't PM him, blah, blah-I did a few months ago. He stonewalled me, refused to even consider my views-hence, I didn't PM him anymore. To quote one of my favorite anime quotes, "negotiation only works when both sides are fair."
*sarcasm* Narcissistic trolls are so wonderful. *sarcasm* To quote http://members.aol.com/intwg/trolls.htm, "Trolls are utterly impervious to criticism (constructive or otherwise). You cannot negotiate with them; you cannot cause them to feel shame or compassion; you cannot reason with them. They cannot be made to feel remorse. For some reason, trolls do not feel they are bound by the rules of courtesy or social responsibility."
Also, this isn't a disagreement over shounen ai/yaoi per se-I have many friends online and all four of my offline friends who think shounen ai and yaoi are bad.
We manage to be friends because both I and they try to be fairminded-I don't beg them to read K/L or 1x2 or squeal over how cute Shuichi is (I haven't even told three of my offline friends-they still believe I'm anti-yaoi, which, technically I am, since I'm opposed to PWP in anything), and while they disagree with me, they aren't constantly on my case about it and don't publicly call my reputation into question. Our convictions differ-yet we manage to not only coexist but be friends. It's a nonissue. ^.^
>.< Grr.
