How to lose track of time.....
Ok, so I totally meant to write an update today but when I looked at the clock after finally figuring out how to re-seed Ouran .... it was past midnight and it's now getting closer to 1AM.
And get this .... it was/is quiet O_____o So obviously I'll seize the opportunity to possibly fall asleep instead of writing anything substantial (as if I do that otherwise XD). Hrm. But tomorrow you'll get a post from me. Promise!
Love you all oodles :3

Becksy: It's pure love ;_; I'm gonna try to burn off the anime that's been downloaded (found a nifty guide on "how to"!) and, without saying too much, I should be able (and afford) to send off a copy of Scrapped Princess to you. If you want :p Gotta carry on the legacy of Slick's honourable gestures!
Liam: With the seal of approval from you I rest assured my downloading will be good ;p And with the Arnie impression you've reminded me to direct everybody to see Pablo Fransisco on YouTube!
Pablo Fransisco - "I'm gonna get naked and get in the shower" is just one of mnay quoatable quotes from his show XD
Azure: *takes a shower with you* XD Inside jokes from the past are good. Thank you for everything from the set-up of Azureus (how fitting!) to just the talk. It was grand *smiles and hugs*
Sexy Lexy: *licks* I wouldn't mind hooking you up either ;o
Petie: I was looking for you on AIM but Azure got to me first, haha. It's really nice of you to offer your help and I'll probably come running to you also if there's a problem in the future >.>
Scrapped Princess makes me want to run out into the streets and spread the love! *hugs*
John: My new computer is a 25hour beast *feeds it cookies* And it should keep me more active on AIM, as well =P It was a promise after all! *hugs plenty-o much*
Schultz-Man: Well, the problem is more Mimmi than it is BT XD I have this tendency to dive in head first without checking the depth first >.>
"Evangelion" hasn't called my name yet, probably because "RahXephon" stole my soul first :p
Keep it up, my man!
Dagger: I caught the summer specials and it was cute to see just the tree of them together, without the angsty cloud hanging too heavily over their heads so much *tries to push away the image of Kanna in pain* ;___;
They made a new batch just after my downloading was done so I'm gonna snatch that one too, especially since everything's included in that one and then some :o
Lady Kei-to the-hey: Want some Scrapped Princess lovin' too? ;o And be sure to have some tissues ready if you're gonna watch Someday's Dreamers >.> And remember I luff you a lot, that way it'll be like I'm there clinging on you X3
By the by! After hearing you, and Dagger, speak so warmly about Ouran I decided to download it. It's next on my "to watch" list and I expect it will be sweeeeeeet 8-)
I'm slowly returning to AIM! Heavy emphasis on slowly because it's on a random schedule and it's been so long since I've conversed with someone online that it takes a while for that particular connection in my brain to start up XD
After drooling over new computers online I also decided to buy a replacement for myself. The old one did its job but I needed it to do more, so instead of fiddling with it I'm "donating" it to my sisters so they can get rid of their pre-ancient monster. They're mucho happy about that, lol.
---- Must cook dinner! Might be back later with whatever I can think of :p Lots of lovin' to ya'll!!! ----

I don't care if the sun don't shine, I get my lovin' in the evening time, wheeeen I'm wiiiith my baby :3
I love you guys so very much that I'm blaming any insanity on that fact!
To the people I've been slack with on comments, I am so ashamed but figure my insanity sprung from loving you so much will make up for it? :3
The awesome Guestbook signage I got from ShadowLight will be returned, promise promise promise. Just gotta get down from this insane high and make it good ^_^
"Scrapped Princess" = fantasmagorical
Before seeing that series I'd watched two others that made me long for something more comedic so I really feared my eyes would never dry again when this one turned out to be really good at playing my heartstrings ;___;
By the by, "Air" and "Someday's Dreamers" were the ones I saw. The latter one had me bawling like a baby at some points but it would've been nice if it'd been a few more episodes longer, for some reason. The ending wasn't horrible but *thinks* I suppose I was still wrapped up in the sadness to fully appreciate how things turned out?
"Air" .... Man! It nearly killed me. It's safe to say I won't be seeing it anytime soon, lest I feel very destructive. Some people say they botched up things towards the end and I'd agree somewhat with that sentiment, especially since Episode 13 is basically just a re-cap of everything. The ending was fitting, though. Even if it wasn't as conclusive as I'd've liked it to be.
Don't get me wrong, it's fine for an anime to leave things open to interpretation. Regarding this particular anime some might even say they weren't being inconclusive and that one just has to look harder for the finer details to be able to see their answer to how it all ended.
I just really wanted them to say that "it ends here". In a very finite way.
Last night I dreamt that I was back in school and Arnold Schwarzenegger was my math teacher! O_O
Will anyone be surprised if I say I'm totally useless with Bittorent? No? D'oh. Anyway. So far I've managed pretty well but it wouldn't hurt to get a better hang of things. Mimmi wants to give back to the community, after all! While getting the most out of it for herself ¬¬
So will anyone teach a leech to not totally suck in Bittoring? XP
PS: I love you all too much that it almost makes me love myself :O!!!

Tonari no To-to-ro Totoro, To-to-ro Totoro
Ghibli movies are pure Love on a DVD. It's absolutely wonderful to sit back and be immersed in the stories. Or enjoy the beautiful scenery and the characters highly nuanced portrayals. There's so much to be enjoyed when you pop in a Ghibli DVD into the machine.
Boy, am I ever glad they had this half-price sale of most of the movies. It would've killed my wallet otherwise. Now it "only" dented it. I've been reasonable with my purchases, though, going for the ones where my instant reaction was "Give me!" and considering the others a bit more. In the end I'll probably try to buy them all anyway XD
During the campaign I bought:
"Totoro" - Just thinking about this one makes me feel happy, even with a stupid cold _^_
"Whisper of the heart" - Concrete roads XD absolutely sweet story :3
"Cat returns" - Didn't win me over like all the others have, but Baron is cool 8-)
"Nausicaa of the valley of the winds" - I'm waiting for the perfect moment to see this one, because it feels like it deserves it.
"Only Yesterday" - This one .... is unexplainably wonderful. The kind that you don't want to put into words. Seeing how they handled [visually] portraying a woman in her late 20's was very interesting and refreshing. They really pulled it off well =)
Oops, "House" is on. Younger sister highly recommended it. Hugh Laurie is da bomb but I'm really keen on Robert Sean Leonard ;3

I.Want.This.Shirt.AsaGirlyTeeonBlacksizeM.Badly.
Ehuru.
I HAVE AN AUTHENTIC "TOTORO DVD"! Yes, that needed to be capitalized, bolded and partly italicized. I'm sure Sara'll agree with me.
I haven't decided whether or not to be selfish and watch it NOW or wait until my younger sister can join me. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
"Nausicaa of the valley of the winds" should arrive today in the mail. Hopefully they'll get "Whisper of the heart" in stock soon, as well as some other Ghibli movies. Figures that they go out of stock when put on a ½ price campaign. Grawr.
I'm tired and lazy "=,="

To Shabam mostly, and all of the lovely people out there :3
Uhm, I know it's Charles and all .... but .... :-/???
P-chansacutie: It is indeed a horrible rip off of Jaws. The good news is that you can laugh at it P:
I hope things are going well for you!
Faroe: It's ok ^_^;
Becksicle: Don't eat or drink anything while watching it. Don't want you to end up in the ER >.>
Shimmy-Loo: I would totally buy a copy and send it to you, just so you could see it. For real.
MC: XD Fun word play there. I give it an A+!
Schultzie: You're excused for not being hooked on it *pats* How about Orca, though?
Liam: Your comment made me dream about you. Possibly. Anyway. "pentocostal colours" ???????

I found it!
I decided to Google a film which I might've mentioned here. It is - to date - the most 'out there' movie I've ever seen. "Orca" has been reduced to a second place. Turns out it was a dramatization of a real person ... unless I misunderstood IMDB >.>
Ladies and gentlemen .....
I give you .....
- "Brother Sun and Sister Moon" -
My face was literally like so O_o most of the time. The songs is what really gave it a surreal factor, though. I can't even explain what's it like to watch, you'll have to experience it for yourselves ^_^;
Alec Guiness is in teh moovieee :o

The picking of Dagger's brains, minus sharp beaks
TBH, I think that even Bale's somewhat problematic performance is pure genius in comparison to Takuya Kimura (what were they thinking??). As a real-life bishounen, Kimutaku may suit Howl's image, but his performance felt weak and hollow to me. I could hear the acting (or, at times, the lack thereof), and that's not really something I want to pick up on from any seiyuu.
But other than Howl, I think the dub and sub are about on par. Anyway, thank god that Bale didn't use his Batman voice, haha. That would've been awful.
~ Dagger
XD They should've included Bale doing Howl as Batman, for laughs!
*clears throat and composes self*
In my own very humble and not so educated opinion, Takuya Kimura totally nailed the character of Howl (as portrayed in the movie, I've not read the book). Still a child, weak despite incredible talent, flimsy. That’s what I’d imagine one would act like if devoid of a heart and being stuck.
The scene where he looks at Sophie when she’s asleep shows him with the appearance of a much younger man. Just like Sophie has shifts in her appearance - locked to her self-confidence and honesty towards her true feelings - Howl seems to morph back into a boy more and more - mostly when trying to spark Sophie's .... memory? ability to help? - . Their grown-up appareance is a physical demonstration of how they're both running away while trying to find the way back to each other.
---
And I lost my train of thought completely while writing that paragraph, so excuse my scattered-ness *dies blushing* It always happens when my passion for a dialogue where I can convey my thoughts and ideas override my capacity to think streamlined/at all. Back on track! *cracks keyboard*
---
I'm curious about something that you might've talked about before but I can't remember. Are you really at home with Japanese, as in being able to pick up dialects and nuances (is he upset or seething with happiness?! lol)? Because I'm wondering if that helps to determine the quality of a voice actor more accurately.
Before my grasp on German got good enough I couldn’t understand what the characters said yet still felt the voice actors were very suitable. So my perception of them, at first, was solely based on the performance and feel/timing they put in. Even after getting a grip on the language they were dubbed in, my opinion didn’t change.
It should be said that a lot of people on a German message board thought they were horrible choices. The group were divided into two groups: one who based their objections on the over-use of certain voice actors and the others were die-hard fans who loved the original seiyuus.
Ideally I’d like to tape a show with a Swedish dub and give to someone abroad to really get a good idea of what factors in the math of voice performing. There are only a handful of dubbers in Sweden and, even though some have proper theatrical experience, they make it unbearable to watch what could otherwise be a good anime. But maybe someone from another country would see it and have the same reaction as I had with the German dubs.
That’s highly unlikely though, hrm. But yes, I would value your input regarding language barriers and its effects on perception of anime
*bows deeply and polishes your shoes*
*looks at her post* ..... Well, isn't this a mighty fine example of why you don't see me engaging in discussions, regardless of the topic. Good form on my part. Good form ¬¬

Badness: The Power of Megan has a way of reaching its destination *awes and keeps luffing the card*
Petie: OOoooooooo, tripping :D Do you explore outside the tourist-y places? By bike? XP
Once I get back on AIM again I shall give you my screen name, unless you've already got it =)
Sarah: No! You can have my bike as long as you're not sad ;_; ... Though I'm sure you've got other things to ride, so..... ¬¬
Schultzie: ..... Mad respect to you *takes off her hat* That's some feat! You must've gotten really powerful lungs after that O.o
Slick: I keep a txt.file too *giggles* Well, just PM me if you think you've not put in the newest addy =)
*encourages you to flex them muscles* ;p
I recall my friend Sean saying that sometimes when Christian Bale speaks with a strained voice it can sound like he's got a broomstick shoved up in an opening in his body (or something along those lines) and, while that is true, I haven't minded it so long I've had a visual of Bale [himself] talking.
Once you take away his face, you're left with that image Sean painted. And it doesn't work very well for Howl, who is light as a feather, especially not when the facial expressions seem totally off with Bale's intonation.
He just doesn't deliver enough .... softness, I suppose. I mean, Howl is nowhere near close to being manly in the way that Bale is, heh.
It does get better as they go along, though. The tantrum Howl throws is pretty much just as good with Bale doing it as it is with the original, for instance. By that point he's starting to grow more and more into character.
Everyone else in the dubbing cast did a remarkable job. No jarring hinderence in their performances, which is a welcome surprise.
Sophie was just as good in English as in Japanese, Markl likewise, Witch of the Wastes was different (one moment that stood out was when Markl went to open the window and she noted they'd better not ... it was delivered differently but not necessarily badly).
Madam Sulivan was good, though I missed some of the veiled ooomph that the Japanese Seyiuu (sp?) had. Japanese Sulivan was just sooo smooth in her transitions from friendly to menacing and had a slightly more psychotic feel to her, while still coming off totally normal.
.... Yes, I have huge problems explaining myself properly in text when it comes to these things XD;;;
All in all I think the English dub does its job well :3 It shouldn't be missed simply because one prefers the original with subtitles.

Akamaru: Peanuts are for Elephants .... and cute friends *cuddles*
Becky: *jumps into the car* Crank that radio up and let's go cruizin'!
Alexa: "PB&J with the crusts cut off" <-- Breakfast Club quote *giggles*
Ah! That's what I forgot to talk about in the post before putting in my comment on comments .... yes, things got handled a bit backwards today XD;;;
Uhm, tomorrow. I'll post about it tomorrow *promises*
MC: No feeling sick! Fight the Sick, power to the .... Fit? I really hope it blows over quickly for ya *hugs*
A trendsetter you are, indeed! I totally encourage you to start a trend with that Nutella case contest ¬¬
Slick: The internet is tricky that way, you can't help but get worried after longer periods of no contact ^_^;
The Liba bread is soooo yummy and worked great as a meal-replacer (though now I'm back on proper dinners) so I really recommend trying to secure a pack of them.
As for breads.... If it has too much fiber in it, I'm not likely to like it >.> White bread is my scene, which is in line with the general 'not as healthy as it should be' theme going on, ehehehe. Lately I've had a craving for crispbread/ryecrisps (<-- according to the dictionary that's what Knäckebröd is called), though.....
IWANTDETENTION: Nutella is a very sweet and runny chocolate in a jar. In Germany they put it on wholegrain bread (O_O) but personally I don't think it should be used as anything other than on its own (with milk, yum yum) or on cakes/pastry.
Petie: Obviously I enjoyed Howl! But thanks anyway :p
How'd you end up in Italy?
Warm chocolate milk would be really nice right about now _^_
John: *hugs and pets her private Mole* You get extra treats now XP
I really want to go back on AIM and catch up 'live' with all the wonderful peeps but the random bouts of close-narcoleptic attacks are kinda putting a halt on that idea. Sowwy :3
Once things level out a bit more I should feel more alert =)
Whenever I've wanted to go see the sisters I've either walked or taken the bus. Today felt like a good day to take a bike ride. Sunshine, not too much wind. Pleasant stuff.
It's not until you're pulling your own weight, plus a little extra in a bag) on a bike that you realize just how sloapy and full of different sized hills this city is -.- You don't notice the very tiny shifts in angle when walking but boy do you ever on a bike! My plan to play tennis with them on arrival got shot out the curb 'cause I could barely breathe after finally getting there. And it was a mere 20-minute bike ride .... through evil semi-mountainous terrain.
Ah well. It was good exercise and they were happy to see me :p After being treated to dinner at our place they've invited us over formally this weekend to cook something up (and possibly play tennis with me). Should be good, if we can work it out with mom's working schedule :-/
The "Chicago" soundtrack is love. It got here after weeks of me not knowing if the place I ordered it from actually had it in stock or not, but it was worth the wait. Now I hope they come through for me with the "Hunchback of Notre Dame" as well *punches fist in the air*
Megan sent me a card that I am loving to pieces, though it reminded me that maybe not everyone has been updated with my most current address? Slick has it, for sure. I can't remember if anyone elses stuff has been forwarded or had the right addy *ponders* Lemme know if you want to make sure you've got it =)
And on that note, I must PM Badness my newest dwelling *saunters off*
