I am weary, let me rest (I'm so addicted to the `O Brother, where art thou´ soundtrack)
Akamaru: Well, there's a possibility that the tape could've worked ... if I'd gone down to the cellar and fetched it >>;;;;
Slick: .... -^_^- Naughty!
P-chansacutie: I'm more or less fine at the moment *lounges infront of her computer* And the London trip isn't until next week :)
Hevn: Beware them! .... I wonder how one would go about defeating "Balls on the Rampage"?
Evil: *shares a lollypop with her* Being 10 has its perks ^_^
Urgh, I'm so knackered it's not even funny. Worked the afternoon yesterday, which didn't leave much time to unwind afterwards. Today my hours stretched from 9 in the morning to 6 in the evening. So there was some level of tiredness from yesterday, nicely blended with the full-on horribleness of Day 2. What could have been a somewhat tiring day turned into minor torment, physically and mentally. Oh well. At least my period won't be haunting me during the London trip :) |

2nd place in the Disc Competition Championship - Go Bessy!
Liam: Conrad is a spiffy name, very much like dressing up as a ninja is *nods*
John: Excellent! *marks another point for the "upbeat stuff" section*
Azure: *scratches head, thinks for a long time, gets tired and falls asleep*
I've posted about the exciting things (such as the trip to London and the Batman merchandise), there's little else happening besides work (which isn't all that eventful to begin with) and I've made a silent promise to myself (and to the wonderful Pyro, who's put up with my PM's) to take a break from digging myself into the ground about the things that weigh on my mind/heart. Besides, life is decent enough and my skin will dry out if I shower more than I do already :]
I was looking at fonts the other day and after a while (something like a few pages, and letters, in) it became apparent how funny/weird some were titled. Thusly came the idea to note down some of the funnier ones [today] but obviously I lost heart shortly after the letter D. Therefore only a couple will be posted. Feel free to share odd fonts names in the comment box if you feel there's one that totally out-odds mine (which can't be too difficult, hah).
Apple Butter - That makes me feel nauseous .... though it might be because I'm stuffed with goodies.
Balls on the Rampage - Can be taken in so many ways. All of them funny :)
Caligula Dodgy - The name, in itself, sure is dodgy enough so let's not get into it further.
Ebola - Yeeaaaaah, kinda sick. Har-Har.

Nothing to write home about (since I am home, and all)
Lady Lea: Sneaky, sneaky *raises an eyebrow and hugs*
Pyro: We should test it some day *snickers* And I fear the batteries in the Battorch (one or two t's?)will die rather rapidly at the rate I'm pouncing on it, haha.
Liam: The question is, what would you dress up as? :o
P-chansacutie: *hugs froggy* It's neat-o, that's for sure :) Have a nice day now.
Slick: Yep, took a while for 'im to pose for me. 'Twas worth it, though =D Hmm, I'm guessing you'd have to start up a video store in order to get the promotional swag. Or pretend to work for one ¬¬;;;;
Rustym: *smiles bewildered before laughing* That made no sense to me but it sure was funny to read ^___^
Sennen: I'm glad I inspired fond memories and not angsty ones (as the case usually is *sweatdrops*), hehe.
John: Awww *dresses up as a court jester and dings the bells in the hat, while skipping about on one foot* Did that help? |

Boss > Mimmi
Molly: It made me of you and I just had to publically express my adoration for you, only without the words! *glomps*
John: *high fives* You've set the bar for funny images pretty high, though, with that avi of yours!
Shinji: Let's have a manly talk and I'll make waffles in the morning!
Pyro: Ah, to live in Sheffield. I'd probably move into your closet, camp under your bed and write long messages on your door :p But for now I'll just write another PM and praise you there!
Charlie: .... *snickers* An honest mistake, I'm sure *coughs*
Slick: You know, it took quite a while to figure out you weren't making some huge innuendo with your comment O.o But then it hit me that you were referencing Naruto *blushes madly*
Lea-Lei: www.boring3d.com is where it's at, baby :-*
Sugar Lips: *cuddles* Thank you.
P-chan: Thankee, thankee! I hope you have a spiffy weekend!
It's the batsignal (sans glowing circle around it)!! But where? And how?
Well, my Boss got some "Batman Begins" promotional stuff and gave me one of the mini-flashlights that were included. (I projected the light on my closet to take a picture of it, heh.) The box itself had me smirking like an idiot and bouncing in my place. Not too many minutes after that I noticed the hats. Following conversation ensued:
Mimmi: Ooooo, spiffy hats.
Owner: Want one?
Mimmi: =O Sure =D
Owner: Want a cap too?
Mimmi: .... O___O *realizes all over again how awesome the job is* Thank you!!
So yeah, free "Batman Begins" swag in bucketloads, hehe.
And here's a picture of the awesome frog-purse that Slick sent me:

La-La Land
Slick: :s Me no likey ghost stuff. Though I've no trouble with aliens, weird creatures, and psychopaths ... oddly enough. Anyhoo.
It was shocking to be in that kind of situation, for both of us, but thankfully we were able to help her and it raised my awareness of how horrible it is not only for the person who's trying to kill themselves but for the ones left behind. There's absolutely no inclination in me to ever do that, now =)
John: *smirks* Yuppers, mildly dramatic is what I aim for. It's the swirly nature in me *dons middle ages robe and looks contemplative-esque*
Eleine is doing good, which is a relief. Her friend is at the hospital but that's all we know at the moment.
Pyro: Sadly, I am responsible =/ Hm. Maybe I should write you a long and rambly PM soon *cracks knuckles*
Keep me in mind if there are any job-openings in Sheffield :p
Badness: London calling! We've booked everything now, though I've no clue on what time we enter and leave London. But rest assured you'll get a detailed brief when everything's sorted :p
P-chansacutie: Aww, thanks for the sweet message. You take care of yourself too ^_^
Charlie: Nope, I keep them under my mattress =)
Alan: Best message I've heard in a long time.
P-chansacutie: *gasps* *runs and saves Hamtaro & Friends* You could always say "Welcome to the Mental Clinic 'Flowery thoughts', how may I help you" when the phone rings >_>;;;
Julian: Meep Meep =)
Evil: Does it dance? ~_^
James: You're very welcome =)
Pyro: *encourages you* >:-D
Slick: :s
John: I am now in love with your brother XD That second message rocks!
Slick: Ugh :s
Found the intro image over at Boring3D.com and had to implement it. The avatar (which doesn't show here, only in comments) is stolen from the magnificant Pyro. Bow to her :-* |

Giving it my best shot at doing it right, by everyone. It won't surprise me if I fail but at least I'll have made an effort, insignificant as it is compared to succeeding.
Eleine, myself and the parental unit went to see "Wallace and Gromit - Curse of the Were-Rabbit" tonight. But before the movie started they showed a mini-movie with the Penguins from "Madagascar", which really helped to set the mood for comedy. So the built-up hype got lost as we all got bewildered about whether or not we'd entered the wrong cinema. Gotta love distractions.
There were lots of laughing and quoting on the way home. Eleine's phone started to ring when we were little over halfway home. No one noticed so I prodded her attention and she picked up. Turns out it was a friend of hers. Said friend had taken plenty of pills and had quite a bit to drink. Eleine was quite stunned about getting such a phonecall but she handled it in a calm and collective way, I must say, even when the friend stopped talking and wandered around her apartment. It wasn't easy to get any information about what had happened, so I decided to call the emergency number (112) and sound the alarm. They got her name, adress and also my cellphone number (in case more information was needed).
The friend didn't return to the phone but Eleine could hear how she moved about and later on how the police/ambulance personal came to take her to the hospital. Hopefully we can find out how things turned out. If the hospital doesn't offer her help, then ... Yeah. Strange turn of events tonight.
Friday was my last day at the video store, so I brought a cake on Thursday as a "thanks for having me"-parting gift. The owner said that he had no doubts when it came to if he [in an ideal rose-tinted world] wanted to hire me, but there just wasn't a position to offer me. So I'm not sure which one of us were happiest when my contact person called (the video store, not me) and said I could stay on till the end of November.
(Good move to call and ask that on my last day. Good thing I hadn't stressed myself out about it .... consciously.) The owner even suggested he could ask them to let me stay until the end of December. That'd be logical, for two reasons:
1. Who's going to take me in and show me the ropes in the midst of Christmas rush? Duh.
2. Things'll get really busy at the video store so an extra pair of thands (that shouldn't cost them extra) would come in real handy.
There's actually one more reason for why it's a good idea but it's more selfish than logical. I'm going to London in November (16th-19th) and it wouldn't be nice to have that worry in the back of my mind. Hopefully Badness will still be able to meet up with me, considering matters that have cropped up for her up recently *sends many hugs*
*rubs temples* The suicide attempt prompted me to post here, really. I've got the others (sister and parents) to talk to but sometimes it's nice to just type your thoughts down and let your mind rest for a little bit.
There's too much in my head that needs to be formulated already. Doing the right thing for yourself and others, at the same time, is hard. I honestly thought there'd never be a repeat of a situation that happened several years ago, so it's taxing on me to find that I've brought myself here again when I did all I could to ensure it wouldn't. Realizing that no haven will ever be safe, because I will always be there to endanger it, makes all of the questioning from back then to creep back. An obvious solution would be to do what I did then, but that would leave me with nothing. I've already chosen to stay away from one road - discarding this one, as well, would leave me with nowhere to go. Unless I sprout wings.
(Sorry if anyone finds the ending lines overly dramatic-appearing. Just invision someone who's calm and introspective saying it - not a frantic woman, wildly gesturing and bawling her eyes out. That's not the image I'm trying to portrait. .... Oh man, it's after midnight. SO tired.) |

Maybe I should, like, update?
..................................................... doot doot .................................. beep beep ........................... I'm a roadrunner, honey! .............................
..... Well, that was lame. *flops over* Is it just me or does this read like an answering machine message? Like when you've tried making a decent one for a while and burn the towel at both ends, ending up with a really apathetic greeting. But I prefer those over the overly chipper ones going "I need/am on Prozac and have dead hamsters in my sock drawer =D". No offence intended for those on medication, no matter how offensive I sometimes feel towards myself.
Uhm. "Beep". |

Squishy me
Evil: *hugs and grins* There's little point in that, lol. Besides, Eleine already gave me the best present in the world by taking her life in her own hands /sappy
Molly: Ka-ching, another point for Molls ~_^ And yes, sweeter than chocolate ... too bad it's impossible to find in super markets ;_;
Liam: The very first thing I shall do as Queen is appoint you to be my butler. Saucy enough for you? *winks*
Akamaru No one could ever replace you!! That's why no dog of mine will ever go by your name =) You're one of a kind *hugs*
Charlie: Yeah, aside from the whole allergy thing in my family, it's just not possible for me to keep a dog. I see enough animal cruelty on Animal Planet, don't want that kind of thing going on in my own home =(
I love you, Badness! Hang in there :3
Two things hit me while making pancakes today:
1) If I'm ever proposed to (highly unlikely but just go with it for now), it'd be nice if the guy do it in a very low-key way. Say ... when we're quietly snuggling or something like that. The idea of building up anxiety and stress over asking someone to spend the rest of their lives with you, when it should be the most natural thing in the world, doesn't strike my fancy. Such a random thing to ponder while making dinner ^_^;;;;
2) Pancakes with raspberry jam is lovely *droolage* I'd forgotten about that ... and now I'm making myself hungry!
There. Now that that's out of the way I will spend my time gawking at Kei's new digs (spread the word, people!) Here's where to go: http://plushies.synergetic-designs.com/index.php
In other news: An appointment I wasn't expecting to attend until late November/mid December has suddenly been pushed to this Thursday O_O
They'd put me on a waiting list and sent me a notice, which I got yesterday, so their phonecall at 8 this evening scared me quite a bit. (Imagine your parent coming in and saying the hospital is on the phone and wants to talk you you but not what it's about *_*)
There's chocolate on my desk and habit says "eat it". The rest of me says [in a puny voice] "nah". Funny what a strong hold habit has on you .....
Pyro: Word, yo.
Bossyness: *is still oogling the layout*
Rustym: This calls for revenge *shakes a bag of broccoli menacingly*
Liam: I prefer Man Flesh for breakfast .... and all the other meals in the day, too.
P-Chansacutie: Thank you, very much :)
Alan: That's the way to do it *nods approvingly*
Sugar Lips: *grins loopsidedly* Waffles are pretty nice too, though _^_ |

Kisses are sweeter than chocolate and I'm a chocoholic
John: A psychotic one 0_ô
Charlie: Mmmm, me likes what you suggest, hehe.
Sugar Lips: *snogs* It's great to have you around, in any shape or form *cops a feel*
Evil: It would be an honour if you'd burn him for me =D
Pyro: One can only hope. In any case, she's safe with us *flexes muscles*
John: Wonderful idea! *thinks about the splitting of Darth Maul and smirks*
It completely slipped my mind to report about my parents' crazy stunt last Saturday. They came into my room with silly grins on their faces and presented me with a dog! A corgy, that I've named Bessy ^___^
Eleine has two dogs of her own, as well, and we'll sit next to each other while learning our dogs new tricks or petting them. Hers are called "Mischief" and "Topsy" *giggles* She's got quite the headstart on one of her dogs, though, because it's quick to learn and that was the main reason she went for it, haha.
I chose mine because it had a personality that'd suit me: a bit cautious at first but very loyal to her owner. ^_^
I suppose most of you have already understood by now that the dogs aren't real. For everyone else: my parents got fed up with me whimpering bunny all the time and bought me "Nintendogs" XP It's a real sweet game, easy to get the hang of and will easily swallow a lot of time. I imagine it's also much easier to keep these dogs than it is with real, live ones, since it's only a matter of turning the power off if you're tired of taking care of your puppy :p
My parents sure surprised me big time, both with the timing and with getting me the perfect gift. Usually they totally miss the mark on both points *laughs* Everyone hits the jackpot once in their life, I guess ^__^ |

I have a dark pink wallet! And a new handbag!
Let's get the drama out of the way first because drama always gets front row!
Yesterday was a really painful day at work, both because of my body being achey (..... that so doesn't look like it's spelled correctly but it is *makes big bulgy eyes*) and work was generally slow. Later on I got a solid reason for why it felt particularly craptastic, though.
The doorbell rang 1 minute after I got through the door and who do I spot when peering out of the peep hole? ...... Mhm, Eleine's soon-to-be-ex husband. That was quite stunning. Or no. The word should actually be "disturbing". I was home alone and had no idea how persistant he'd be in trying to come in or if he'd go looking around for Eleine (she was at Juliette's place). It was going to be bad enough that he showed up at the apartment, no one needed him to go on a [wo]man hunt. In the end he only rang twice (*tries not to make movie referance) and left when he said he would.
While it rattled Eleine that he appeared, it also made her furious and more determined that he should become history. It's not going to be easy but we all have faith in her =)
Shabam: *blushes* That is an honoring compliment to get! And it will be rewarded with a slice of me *serves up* ~_^
Bachelor Beau: *laughs heartily and sneaks candy between his lips* There it be :p Aw, I've missed seeing you around here ^___^
Sara: But, but ... you've got Azure :3 *kidnaps your socks and proclaims adoration for Sara atop a dorm door*
Evil: Yes, that's exactely what I meant =D Glad you caught the point ^_^ *hugs and slips a piece of cuddly to Evil*
Liam: *giggles* I anticipate pleasant dreams, then ;p And while you're at it, give yourself some since my ability to send dreams haven't been mutated into bloom yet, lol.
Sugar Lips: Oooh, haha. I've seen snippets of that show but it's absolutely not what I had in mind, as you now know *laughs* Oh my. Daydream-attack. Must take cold shower ~_^ |
