Rawr @ Australian Currency
Ai: Dark colors are awesome but unfortunately I can't go with those =( Having a silly little inactive-prone thyroid gland (or maybe it was something else-gland) means I need to be surrounded by as much light as possible, thus ruling out darkly color schemes. Still, I'm not complaining =) *hug*
Pyro: Mmmm, lickworthy walls. I'm also wanting to add a splash of Japanese in there, with a poster or two (one's of a geisha, the other of a shaolin monk) and a screen with some funky print stuck to it. It's all very sketchy still, though.
*lifts with her legs* Yes ma'am!
Shimmy Shammy-Roo: Beige is alright, especially when you've got the hot heat going on *nods* Are you doing just the one color or will you add a "feature wall" (where you splash on a totally different color)?
Azure: I can so picture you laughing your ass off when writing that *peers* Or smiling like a goof, adoringly =P *snuggles* You're a special case kind too ;p
Doc: Dad is really struggling to be diplomatic with me when it comes to decorating the rest of the apartment:
Mimmi: I could break out the putty and slab it on =D
Dad: .... I'm sure there's other stuff we can assign you to >>
Mimmi: .... You don't trust me with the putty, do you? ~_^
Dad: Heh, well if you want to *shrugs* ^_^; >>
But I know he'll be watching like a hawk when it comes to stuff he wants done properly (though he's actually watchful about all the tasks, lol) so I tackle the things that don't require any nitty-gritty action XD You have a great day, too ^_^
Annsie: Ah, yes. The rules of decorating a room are many and plenty ... *laughs* ... There was this show on tv (BBC Prime) where a designer fella, Lawrence Llewellyn Bowen, explained the tips and tricks on decorating spaces.
It sure helped that he's our favourite British interior designer but it was really informative, as well =)
Yep, there'll be pictures. / I'm holdin' out on takin' any until it's done, 'cause it don't feel important to snap any "before" shots. / attempting to say that with New York accent, in homage of her loyal Slave >:3F
Samie: Thank you =)
Faroe: It's looking quite spiffy so far =)
Shabamz: Haha, it's always fun to lure down the eldest sister here (seeing as she can't get away much these days) >:D Yum for brown!
Rustym: Well, old chap, that can only be decided if I knew how your room looks like ~_^ Maybe if you do a sketch of it? *giggles*
MC: OooooooOoooo, purple? Dark or light or in-between? Paint or wallpaper? *sneaks a mint under her pillow* >>
Heat = good, but not when it's 30 degrees Celsius outside/inside *_*;;;
Not much to say.... No, wait. That should be "not near enough energy to say much" XP I'll be careful not to work myself into a wall *nod* The younger sister went home yesterday, before the other two arrived, and it was kind of a good thing. She was in a terribly foul mood.
I'd borrowed Kung Pow, because I know she loves it and wants me to see it, which made her thrilled beyond words. She immediately asked if we could watch it instantly but I was too tired and her face contorted into the most grumpiest face I've ever seen on her the split second I said no O_O!
Taught me not to do my best to cheer her up, when it's that short lived. Hopefully mom and her can sort out some kind of help, fast. It's not nice to have the stress whip on your back, worrying that she'll do something stupid just because we can't get over there fast enough. (I'm already pushing myself by agreeing to move; having the pressure on to get there quickly for her sake while having my situation used as an excuse to get out of this town ... I mean, hold on there little missy. You got no right to flare up on me/us like that *snaps fingers, "girlfriend" style*) Ah well. Ain't got no energy to dwell on that now =)
Has anyone heard from Ger/ Red? I'm concerned =\ Good to know Ger is alright. Same with Red, though I don't really know her ^_^; She leaves cool comments at Shanny's and Slick's, though *giggles* |

*dies* X-)
My new room is chocolatey brown. It looks sort of like the mousse you see chefs mix together on tv (at least if you live in Europe and get BBC Food or the equivalent in the rest of the world). I'm gonna have to buy a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory poster now, it'd look fab on the wall X-) Dad kept going on about how sucky his preparation work was and I simply stared at the brown color and went "mmmmm, brrrrrrown" (*purred on the r's*), haha.
Also ripped down some wallpaper, which was fun. My back is hurting a lot today, what with working at the video store (close to doing part time now) and working a couple of hours at the apartment yesterday. Seeing the color up on the walls in my new room made it all worth it, though :) Just need another coat and then it should be good to decorate. *is still undecided on the coffee border* Oh, and I'll get new flooring too. Dad'll take care of that, heh.
(I've got bruises all over from walking into things ;_; Mimmi = klutz lately.)
Doc G: I prefer busy days >> It makes me more relaxed if I've kept busy during the day, heh.
Shabam: Mom told me today that the sister is coming after all *can't keep track of things changing from one day to the next* She'll be coming down tomorrow and staying the night, so I'm happy about that =)
Annsie: Well, I'm sure you've heard about it by now. Bombings on the tube and on a bus, set off by morons. =(
John: *laughs* Apparently she'd gotten a window smashed in =\
Pyro: Dad said something like that too when I was loading books in a box, hehe. It'll be cool to have the whole family helping out =) |

You didn't see me standing there
The eldest sister had her car slightly demolished so she won't be coming down *wonders why she can't take the train or a bus* ... Younger and older sister are still coming.
Work was pretty quiet today, except for when I had to shift loads of candy boxes around. Made me sweat like a pig, not to mention drain quite a lot of my energy *_* Good thing I had a cold shower and some oatmeal porridge when I got home.
*mind wanders* I'm an Attention Whore with Abandonment issues. Bad combo. Makes for easy angsting and sadness.
My heart goes out to London. |

Lowling and rambling - a day with no rain, only teardrops
Gwar, why must I constantly allow myself to feel so inferior and insignificant?! *blames PMS, exhaustion and heat*
Mail can be sent to me in mid-August. Slick, Annsie and Sara are in for a PM with the details. Anyone else needing it can say so in the comment box or send a PM my way.
Positive things about moving into the apartment:
1. No fears of sleeping with the window open during the night, since we'll be on the third floor.
2. Decorating a room is fun.
3. Climbing all those stairs will be good exercise.
4. Will be living closer to the centre of town and can walk everywhere, which'll mean more exercise than biking.
5. It's a quiet neighbourhood. Less cars and kids making noise.
*ends the post to watch the movie now*
EDIT: My room will be painted a light brown. Saw this really awesome border with coffee cups on it. Might go with that as well. The older sisters will come over this weekend to help out. Should be cool and goofy. Life only sucks when you look at the sucky stuff. I need to learn to look harder at the bright side. Moo.
EDIT 2: My guestbook is not open. My PM inbox is not a substitute for a guestbook. My ego is honored that you want to make friends with me but now is not the time. The end.
EDIT 3: Bought "Animal Farm" and "Memento" on VHS for about £2. Through work, of course. Perks a-plenty *sunglasses smiley*
EDIT 4: Mmmmmm, nothing like a bit of Aussie accent to make the day yummier. And, no, I'm not a gorilla. I just sound like one =P
ANNIE! Your loyal Master promises to try and be online later today, just don't worry if I sound sluggish, hehe *has headache*
Little Inufan: Mhm, only have about a month left to live in my house. The same house I've lived in all my life.
Evil Jedi: *hoses you down* I'll give you wet blanket >:o *giggles*
James: Animal Farm is an awesome story and the movie isn't too shabby either. "Babe" gone bad. Or something, hah.
You know I'm always around for a chat - be it voice or text :)
Pyro: It's the one from 2000, where the voices are by: Patrick Stewart (woooh!) - Napoleon, Ian Holm - Squealer, Kelsey Grammar - Snowball, Julia Louis-Dreyfus - Mollie. Just to name a few.
The coffee cup border is coolies but I'm not sure how much effort to spend on decorating, seeing as I don't know how long we'll be staying there, heh. *desinfects Pyro's guestbook* >>;;
Annsie: You're so cool, it makes me quiver ;_; I wish I was an Annsie too *pout*
John: Seriously? Wow, when I for once follow a trend ... I'm completely unaware of it XD And the movie isn't awkward at all, go rent it =P
Slick: ~_^ "Don't make me get the hose!" *giggles* I'll be looking forward to that ^_^
Shabam: Gotta keep thinking positive thoughts! Maybe I'll be able to fly one day =O |

PG me this, R me that
I hadn't planned on getting any kind of vacation from work but apparently they'll give me a couple of weeks off. Mom thought it'd be a good idea to schedule them around the final moving date, to give me enough rest to cope with all the physical strain, which was quickly voted down. I want to keep as busy as possible and sleep/rest can be caught up with in the evenings/on weekends anyway. Besides, my idea of a vacation is travelling somewhere. So I don't know if I'll take it or not.
*cough*Yay for short posts*cough* |

I love you
Lady Lea: I know the feeling *sneaks her along for some shopping*
Hevn: lol, Strawberry Day for Strawberry Princess, eh? ;p
Akamaru: Yes, yes you do *gives it to him* Have fun with it ;p
John: *nods* You want to feel the dice in your hand shaking it madly and watch it roll over the table while praying for the number you want XP The internet just can't simulate that =(
James: *borrows him a warm blanket that looks like a bear* I'm sure you could start a Cherry Day or something =)
Pyro: You'd get along great with my mom, I think *giggles* Boo on your dad for that comment, though >>; Board games = Fun fun fun.
I've boxed up most of my stuff already, apart from what is used daily, and have moved on to help out boxing/sorting mom/dad's load. It was when I went through the stuff in mom's room that I came upon this diary/journal/calendar thingy, belonging to dad. Originally, since it was really old, it would've been chucked out with the trash but when I flipped through the pages some were filled with text.
The journal was from the year mom and dad got together. Dad had written a letter of sorts to mom, just writing how he felt about her. Mom had written replies with "I love you" here and there. She'd even marked out their monthly anniversaries and when they got engaged.
Reading those entries felt so surreal. I mean, before I obviously knew they must've really loved each other (otherwise they wouldn't have gotten married, had kids, etc) but I've never quite understood/believed that it was like that for them. And it got me thinking of my own letters, messages I've left or been left. How things have gone/changed from the time they were recieved. I'd really like to talk to mom or dad about that journal, because I want to understand. But it probably wouldn't make a difference and, if anything, only make this stressy phase we're going through right now a little bit more strange.
I just feel lost. And sad. |

I think my knickers are fondling your letter at night
The first Saturday in July is Strawberry Day in my home town *giggles* Basically it means vendors put up their tents/stalls in the parking lots/town square and people shop as they gulp down on free strawberries with whipped cream and vanilla ice-cream. They even have some rides you can go on (according to my sister, who always gets on them, they're rather good). I went down with mom and bought the traditional candy from our favourite vendor, mom also got some socks while a pink top was purchased by me *wonders how much pink she's bought lately O.o*
On a somewhat related note: we had a garage sale today. It was rather last minute and not very organized so only a few items were flogged, haha. Among those were my exercise bike ;__; Ah well, this really forces me to use that gym card >>;;;
It turned out there were quite a lot of board games in our possession (which became apparent as we rummaged through stuff to sell) and all of them had been used plenty. About half of them ended up on the sales table, the other half were games that were incomplete or ones I simply refused to part with. They're really fun games and that was proved when mom, dad and I played a few rounds earlier on ^___^ (Their competetive-ness really had my eyes rolling out of their sockets, though. Hrm.)
Too bad there aren't many people I can rope in to play with me, cause I'd love to spend a whole day playing those board games _^_ (Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and bathroom visits would be acceptable breaks though =P)
I simultaneously dread and anticipate going to sleep nowadays. Daydreaming has gotten more, ehm, intense as well. Oooo, escaping reality and creating a fluffy fantasy land filled with desires of reality as would please me pleasing you, am I? /self analysis =P |

I've bought Basement Jaxx's Singles cd and love it - Thanks Pyro =)
The time not spent moping around on the internet has been divided between catching sun (I got burned but oddly enough it doesn't hurt/sting one bit), working at the video store (will add on the hours starting next week), feeling painfully amorous (want you lovely /lust&love) planning for the move (so much to think about), and generally keep calm/peaceful (which sometimes flips over to sadness *glances at yesterday's post*). Obviously I'm not a static machine, nor is life, so how things are ... changes. And my memories aren't tied to a bed room so it's not like I'll be leaving everything behind.
Some time ago I played a game of Literati with Azure and was inspired to write a short story with the first couple of words we made. It wasn't until today that I actually sat down to write it, heh. Many Thanks to Azure for inspiration. Dedicated to Akamaru for making him disappointed with my absence in his cool thread in the Anthology.
(The bolded words are the ones from the Literati game. Please excuse any grammar/spelling mistakes and any kind of general crappiness; I didn't make as big of an effort with making it decent, as with my recent RPG posts. Which might be a welcome change, who knows O.o |
A pirate band of swishy rouges (they call themselves The Swoosh Triad) under the command of Ed Dweeb had just captured their no1 nemesis and Captain Dweeb was giving said nemesis a steely glare (the one he’d put on when he was crosser than cross). It was said that the glare could scorch the very soul in even the bravest of pirates.
“Arrr” he finally growled “Tis a shame you’ve sworn to be mah mortal combattant, elst you could’ve been a mighty fine asset to this here crew”
Snickers were heard here and there in the gathered group but were soon silenced at the barks from their captive scanning them with sharp eyes.
“Ay, laugh all ye want but this here ass is connected to a pair of spangly knuckles that’ll dish out a good whooping when I get my hands on ya and that’s all some of ya’lls’ asses will get for a good two weeks, mark mah words!”
Dweeb roared with laughter and bent down to stroke a strand of hair out of the angered woman’s face. It sure was hard to keep up the charade when you were dealing with a face contorted with indignant rage and pout of a 3-year old.
“Now, now mah lovely Grace. How’s about we start over and try to get on a good footing with each other again, eh?”
She snorted and stuck her nose in the air defiantly to further drive home the point of her steadfastness. They’d fought many battles in the 8 years she’d been the chef of his band and she only got more confident in her stubbornness with each year. The display didn’t amuse Dweeb, however, his frown returning slowly.
“I do not take abuse on one’s own team lightly and this here mess will be sorted out, the easy way or the way where I dangle ye over the water and have the sharks teach you some table manners.”
“Hey, I don’t see why I’m the one in the wrong here, especially since my manners ain’t got nothing on that gargoyle Slawb! Why’s it me getting the shouting at?”
“You shoved broccoli stems up his nose and stuffed his mouth with peas!”
“Aye, you know, he looked a whole sight better when that ghastly excuse for a moustache couldn’t be seen and it sure was a blessing to see peas out of his mouth instead of that annoying tripe he always vomits in my galley. I say he should apologise for making me do it and the rest of the crew should thank me for putting him in his place!”
She nodded resolutely and resumed her scans of the crew members to note who dared give her lip. Dweeb sighed and rubbed his temple, rather tired of wasting precious time on trivial matters.
“Arrr, listen to me missy. The crew’s nigh on starving so what’ll it take to get that sunshine smile beaming again?”
Grace peered at him with one eye while considering her terms. Everyone held their breath; the Captain being so gratuitous with unruly subordinates was unheard of before now. Giving such leeway to that woman sure didn’t bode well.
“I want that scum to beg for my forgiveness” she nodded to Slawb “and all the others should praise me for it along with my mere presence as it blesses them more than Heaven could ever hope to.” A smug grin spread over her lips when she was finished. The captain simply shook his head.
“Slawb, you heard her.”
“I beg your pardon?!” Slawb brawled.
“There you go, Miss Grace.” Dweeb quickly intercepted before any further protesting were issued and turned to the crew. “The rest of you all say ‘Thank you’ on the count of three. 1,2,3 --“
“Thank you”, they all murmured unenthusiastically. Grace’s jaw dropped, too dumbstruck to begin objecting at what she thought was a grave injustice being done to her.
“Ah, that’s that done. Return to your posts and somebody release the lasso from Miss Grace. I’m sure it can be of better use than to restrain her.”
The Captain turned on his heel and wandered back to his quarters through the scattering crowd, stroking his beard satisfactory. Though the problem with future scuffs still weighed on his mind. Some more permanent action had to be taken; farces like this had no place on his ship. Life on sea was already rough; he didn’t want to play baby sitter and mediate in nonsensical squabbles. He’d much rather play a quiet game of boule.

1 month left. Just as I got into sunbathing. Trying not to miss certain people and bug them about how much I actually do miss them by typing here about missing them (which I'm doing now *stops*). For some reason I figure that if I make myself as lonely as as can be before leaving, and shut off as many/much emotions as possible, I'll not feel overwhelmingly desolate once we're moved in. That way [hopefully] I'll be used to being [somewhat] alone and not get depressed when there's no one around to "hang out with" or suffocate them with my love when they are online.

Feeling: Lonely
I had the most horrible dream last night. My favourite Man Flesh and I were getting quite intimate when suddenly I realised/imagined I'd forgotten how to kiss. Things were steaming along enough for it to be barely noticable but man did it make me feel stupid/more sexually frustrated. The dream ended shortly after his pants'n'boxers came off by my hands. Blubber. |
