Today WILL be a good day, even if I have to bust a blood vessel (or shop till I drop) to make it so /stubborness
*rubs eyes* Last night did its best to end on a bad note, but I fought it pretty hard and thought I'd won. No nightmares was an indication of that, you know? But of course this morning just has to try and succeed where last night did not.
I'm not giving up yet, though, because we're gonna have chicken for dinner (I am, at least, dunno about the others) and that's always good. The sun is shining so it makes no sense to be grouchy on a day like today. My headaches are nearly gone (just a niggling tension left on some days) and the stuff that bothers me can be dealth with ... I'm sure.
It seems as if I'm really forced to take a lot more initiative lately [with myself], which can be tiring when it feels like all the days are filled with things that require sorting out. Good for building character though, eh?
Items bought today: Nail polish, very light green top, dark green sweats.
(And a train ticket and bread but that doesn't count.) |

Let's go to the movies!
First things first - commentary comments
Suaveness: O.o Now I know how people feel when I misread stuff >>
Lunai: Ahhh, his voice is heavenly *purrs* Sorry about the headaches, they blow =( Get someone to massage the tensions away? Hehe.
Slick: Yay for older sisters [that give you stuff]! Well, I've given it some thought. *points to part in post where she discusses it*
Hotness: You know, if I went to the movies with some Man Flesh I wouldn't have to choose. I'd get both the movie and candy to gorge on. Ehum.
After thinking about what movies I'd like to see, I've come to the conclusion that all of the gift certificate shall be used for movies only. Because it's not like I eat much when seeing a movie anyway. One visit will automatically go when I see Star Wars so that makes 4 more visits.
Absolute must-see movies:
"Batman Begins" and "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory"
I'd really like to see "Howl's Moving Castle" and I think "Stay" comes out this year too, which is another movie that interests me. Are there any other good ones coming out soon?
Aaaaah, this gift certificate was just the perfect gift _^_ |

It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing
Dad's been borrowing the computer a lot this weekend (incidentally it shut down twice on him which worried me greatly - it seems to be running fine though) and my older sister is coming home for a couple of days to visit, or something, so that's stealing time away from me to laze about with mah homies on da web.
They also said on the forecast that there'd be a thunderstorm today so don't expect to see me online much later today ^_^; The thunderstorm came, roared and moved on =D
Slick: I have faith in you ;-) And yes, invent something that'll do wonders on eyeballs without any pain involved >>
Pyro: According to dad, who also broke his frame, it shouldn't take more than a couple of days *hopes so* I also hope it won't be too expensive >_<
Flip-flops scare me >> There's the fear of tripping over and having people step on your feet... obviously that can happen with sandals too but yeah ^_^;;;
And yes, I have you to thank for introducing me to Michael Bublé. Along with influencing me to get the soundtrack to Crouching Tiger, which is very nice. Mom got that look in her eyes ("mmm, me likes a lot") while listening to it so I am hiding it in my room, lol.
Godel: I've only heard that one song with them, unfortunately ^_^; *is honored to have been Godel-ified in her comment box* >>
Suaveness: Aaaaah, barefoot. That would be lovely _^_ Let's take over a town with a beach, sanitize it and walk barefoot every day!
Lunai: Ouchies =( That sucks about breaking your glasses and not having health insurance. Don't do any harm to yourself now, because that'd really suck!
My sister gave me a gift certificate to the cinema!!
I can go see something like 5 movies or I could just go for 2-3 and gorge on candy with the rest of the money XP |

Eurovision Song Contest (It's a Europe thing)
I just spent about 10 minutes trying to figure out what song a song in the contest reminded me of. (It was "Voulez Vouz" by Abba, in case anyone was interested.) Isn't it great when you become so obsessed with trying to remember the title or tune to something? ... >>
And another song bore a resemblance to "Chain Reaction", though I'm not sure who did that originally. Diana Ross?
The woman from Malta had a stunning voice - completely floored me, I'll have you know. Well, it would've floored me if it wasn't for the fact that I was sitting down at the time =P
All in all there were plenty of songs that sounded alike (or were very similar to already existing songs), a glam rock group, some really talented dancers and some ... less talented ones, plenty of push-up bras, and a few really decent songs snuck in between the aforementioned things =)
It was actually fun to watch this year (apart from the painfully embarrassing parts, which can't really be avoided) but I'm not inclined to stay up late for the sake of finding out who won, haha.
Lunai: It's all about the cheese =P
Pyro: Gaaah, Gemini +_O *had erased her memory of those two*
This year it was some girl who did the whole oriental stuff. Not really memorable, hehe. Though there weren't many people who sang out of tune this year, which is a bit surprising. Usually there's a lot of nerves showing but most of the people seemeed very professional. Took away some of the fun in making fun of them >>
There wasn't much to cringe about, most of the performances was just really fun to watch because they were so bizzare (like the glam rockers or the ones who brought their grandmother with them) though I tend to erase my memory after watching the show =P |

Total volume of music on my computer: Uhm, I think it's somewhere around 100 MB
The last CD I bought: Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon OST
Song playing right now: Somebody – Depeche Mode
Five songs I listen to a lot, or mean a lot to me:
1. "Unlovable" Darren Hayes. The lyrics, the sound. It all hits that special spot.
2. "Australia" Manic Street Preachers. Because it makes me feel positive, happy and upbeat.
3. "Feeling Good" Michael Bublé. The brass, the drums, the voice. Major rawr factor. I likes me jazz/swing like that.
4. "Be mine" Robyn. Instead of connecting heartbreak to a song that makes you wallow even more, I go with this one since it more or less nudges you to just move on and is very upbeat somehow.
5. "Holding out for a hero" Frou Frou. It ties closely with Jennifer Saunders rendition of the song, haha. Simply groovy.
Five people who I am passing the baton to:
1. Arcadia.
2. Lady Lea
3. Someguy
4. Annie
5. AzureWolf
I accidentally broke my glasses yesterday. Not the actual glass but the frame just snapped when I took them off. The optician's wasn't open today so it's a matter of waiting until Monday and then wait some more until they're fixed. I do still have my old glasses but they're not very comfortable (my new ones are very flexible and don't put much pressure on my head, whereas my old ones are very stiff and makes me feel like I've got clamps locked to my temples) though they'll have to do for the time being.
Now while I didn't get to hand them in for repair, I did swing by the shoe shop and found a very nice pair of sandals. Sneakers are great and all, but summer is approaching and my feet will die if they're locked in for more hours (I'm only doing minimal hours now) while constantly being on the go.
Badness: *high fave* But then again, R2D2 originates from the 70’s so you not having one probably means that you’re more modern and flashy than me ;-p
Pyro: *giggles* Gotta love the perks ~_^
Lunai: Yeah, experience probably helps to ‘weed’ out the non Man Flesh, lol. Thank you!
Slick: Oh you do like to test my nicknaming skills, don’t you? ~_^ I’ll just stick with Slick for now >:P
Sexyness: Well, there’s a lot of standing around since the video store is more busy during the afternoon but luckily there’s a chair I can lounge on this time =)
Annsie: >;3F I’d actually rather rent a kiddie video and be nostalgic, lol.
Tony: Oooo, care to share?

Sloppy post
I did some mopping up today, as well as vacuuming. That was particularly funny since the vacuum machine looked like a [small] variation of R2D2, so in my mind I imagined responses like his when dragging the machine around the store XD
The lady I work with (whom shall be refered to as Lady from now on) was grateful for not having to do it and I thought of it as working out, lol. Win-win situation =P And it's never wrong to make yourself invaluable >>
PERKS! Apparently I get them, wheee! Lady said today that I get free video rental (a perk which will not be abused, but surely taken advantage of), though I'm not sure if she meant the one video/dvd and only on Fridays. Obviously I'm not abrasive enough to ask .... yet.
They've already said I can help myself to candy and drinks (thankfully they've got a non-carbonated drink which I like >>) but to actually be given free rental wasn't something I expected ^___^
I'm really happy I went with my gut feeling and ended up at the video store. They're taking good care of me and it's all just great, lol.
Still no Man Flesh. I don't even think there is any around here, to be honest. Funny thing is, maybe if I was 15-16 I'd go "Eeee, so and so many cute guys came in *giggle/squeee* and they were, like, so hot!" because that's about the age most of the decent looking guys are at. And not even they manage to grab my attention =/ Guess I've gotten picky in my old age, haha.
Shimmy Shammy: Don't worry, I'm not a rabid Tom Cruise fangirl and can giggle at such jokes ;p
Hevn: Yeah, exactly. A little alone time is never wrong (especially if it means getting away from annoying people >>) but ultimately it's nice to have someone around =)
James: Haha, it was real weird to go from being 6 people in the same house and suddenly it's just me and the parents left. I miss my siblings =(
Hehe, saucy dreams rule.
SailorBadGirl: It might be a good idea to move in with someone else when moving out, sort of as a transition. That's what I'd do anyway, to soften the blow, lol.
Suaveness: Well, after being constantly surrounded by so many people, I don't blame you ^_^; And you're probably very comfortable with yourself so you don't need someone else to help you with that. You're strong =) |

For all you music lovers out there, I'd be highly interested in hearing what you make of some Swedish Music.
And I will get 'round to listening to Sonic Youth, Shimmy >> |

In the immortal words of Alana: "Nuuuuuuuuuuuuu!" I refuse to go to a doctor >> It's not like I'm dying anyway... that I know of. I'm pretty sure I'd know if I was dying or something like that ... Yeah.
But what Shanny said made me feel rather sheepish. Because it reminded me that I indeed have a medication containing only iron ... that I've not taken lately because I've had stuffs on my sandwiches that supposedly contains a lot of iron. But it might be a good idea to start up on that again ^_^;;;; Thanks Shabam!
As for Vitamin C, it's another good point. Oranges have a lot of Vitamin C, don't they? Me likes a bit of freshly squeezed Man Flesh oranges >>
*interevenes from self with commentary comments*
Dream post:
Slick: Funnily enough, I think there was some girl in the dream that was his girlfriend ... she tried to get on the [moving] train I was on and I tried to hand over her bunny (weird, yeah). It was after that that I hooked up with Tom, in what looked to be a movie set. He needed someone to rehearse a scene with and picked me. When it was done he pulled me aside and we locked lips. It was all very PG13 ... if Frenching is PG13, I don't know ^_^;
Shabam: I'll try to get some more saucy action out of my next dream, haha. No promises since it's very rare I can control my dreams .. but when it happens *giggles*
Pyro: Yeah, that's something to think about. It wouldn't feel good to splash out on a machine that flunks out after little to no use =( That oddly enough reminds me of a totally unrelated issue *laughs to herself* Hrm.
Shimmy Shammy: Haha! .... He did XD
Sick post:
Shabam: It's easy to flatter those who inspire flattery *flutters eyelashes*
Suaveness: *nods* That's a 'side effect' to Vitamin C, lol. I'll do my very best to feel better *smiles and hugs*
Rustym: So do I, so do I *sagely nod*
Mama Slick: Hrm.... Ok, I'm going to a doctor of sort next month and I'll ask him if he can spot anything that needs to be sorted. How does that sound to you? =)
EJ: Rawr, liking the overall new look you've got going on =D And thanks for wishing me well ^_^
Work's going just fine and gives me a real good boost. It's the same as with working out, I feel so accomplished afterwards. Must be the Achiever in me =P
Funny thing is though ... I'm pretty confident that I could live on my own. I've got cooking, cleaning and working down, I'm the best with fincances in my whole family (^_^;;;;). There is only one real issue that prevents me from living on my own and that's the fact that I don't want to live on my own, lol. Being alone for longer periods of time during a day is fine, but I need to know that there'll be someone coming home to me or that I come home to someone. Oh well. |

Yeah I know I could've just edited this into the previous post
My head hurts. It's been hurting every afternoon/evening for too many days now. Not sure if it's down to a cold or the constant presence of thunder clouds. Strangely enough there hasn't been any thundering going on here, though both the town my dad works in and the one my [younger] sisters lives in has had thunder storms.
Ugh, maybe washing my hair and face'll help release the tension. A yummy sandwich should help too. Yes.... *wanders off* |
