Appeal

Can I come visit someone for a little while?

I'll cook for you, clean your room, rake leaves in the gardens - whatever you want done, I'll help out with.

I'm quiet and easy to maintain, people have found me amusing at times so entertainment shouldn't be a problem for me to provide.

Anyone want me over?

Please send in your applications along with a chocolate bar. Any applicants missing to do so will be automatically refused.

Lubs you, Charlie

Part ? of "Cause to Effect".

Original site layout:

Text wrapped around this image.

("Fences" was the first word in the Literati game and I really wanted a fence image included, but couldn't make it work out to my satisfaction.)

Second layout idea:

Text scrolling in an invisible box in the middle of the image.

(Because the box wouldn't place itself in the middle of the image, it was scrapped until a later date. It's a screencap from FF8, in case anyone wondered.
Click here to view ad-infested site.)

-----

It's been up over at OB (which James was quick to point out he noticed) for a couple of days but I didn't want to advertise it, since I was waiting for HC to host it for me, heh. And there it is *points upwards* (Please ignore the fact that "architects" is spelled wrongly *winces*)

PS: I have no idea how the ! snuck into those places. They're not present at the Angelfire one. Ask HC.

meh

So yes, a while back James started a thread at OB. More specifically, in Anthology. At first I just contributed a tiny bit of poetry but then a story began to grow in my mind. As of now there's ... two parts of it up, each in a slightly different style but still in keeping with the general feel. At least I hope so O.o

Recently, but still a while ago, James asked if I had more to post in there and it struck me that 'yes, my story needs to be finished or be closer to resolved than it is now'. And then I didn't think more about it.

Until last week. Whilst starting up a game of Literati with Alan, I decided to write a story with the words we put down. (Literati is basically online Scrabble, over at the Yahoo Games section.) The game never got finished, since I was taking forever to write down sentences around the words, but the actual story was eventually finished.

When the story began to take shape, I had a strong image of a fence in my mind and wanted to see if I could google it out from a dark corner of the web. "It would look really cool if I put it up on a little mini site of its own, with that kind of image", I thought. With a bit of help from Lady A, the perfect image was retrieved. Though, in the end, I decided not to use it. Instead I modified a screen cap from FF8 and used it as a background.

Initially the idea was to do everything myself, but having little HTML skill and Alan close by ... well, I asked him for some specific codes and then modified them. So, even though it might not look as awesome as if someone else had done it for me, I'm quite pleased with the end result.

HC was kind enough to offer a bit of space to put it up, to save people from viewing the horrible ads plastered at Angelfire. I've sent him the code along with the story, so whenever he has time to fix it together you'll know about it.

Thanks you three :-*

Other than that I'm still awaiting news in different departments. One concerning my future freedom, another relating to my love of Naruto. Those are just two of my currect contestants in the waiting game. I wouldn't mind being left hanging if it were because I was in a theme park and was trying out a fun ride, but when it comes to issues that need some sort of ... closure, it just gets me down. Guess I'm just one of those persons who like to know where they stand and where they're going. On a broad/grand (?) scale anyway. It doesn't have to be pin-pointed, as long as there's some ... Pshh, I don't know.

-----

Lady A gave me a tremendous compliment as she asked me to contribute to something she's planning and even though I'm confident I could deliver [something], there's something that wants to push me back and make me say 'I can't'. Because that's what I've always done. Rarely has there been enough confidence in myself to go beyond of what I've done or where I've placed myself.

If you keep low to the ground then you won't hurt yourself if you fall, I guess. It's safer than flying towards the sun and having your wings burnt off, having a long way down to spiral.

I'm sure once I've had enough of wallowing in my puddle of self pity, my wings will be back from the repair shop and ready to go for a spin. *huggles Lady A*

-----

Still want a pet. Any kind of pet. As long as it's cuddly and attentive. Well ... it doesn't have to be attentive. I could just talk at it and be satisfied with that. It would sure beat the incredibly silly feeling of wanting attention from people who give attention to people which in turn sparks me feeling inferior and insignificant.

.... Wow, reaching an all-time low here. What's next? Losing my sanity? O.o;;;;

Blue one 512 MB - Silver one 1 GB.
[Maker:
Sandisk .... whoever they are >>]

HC: It's snowing right now and if it sticks I might be able to get some wintery landscape shots for you =)

Kei: *grins* Yeah, I just couldn't help myself there >:) *huggles muchly* Cheapness wuffles yoo muchly in return :-*

Panda: *grabs her and cuddles* You'll do fine :3

Liam: Yes, oh yes. You'd make an excellent pet. I could chuck out my stereo, tv and computer then, seeing as you'd provide me with enough entertainment to make them redundant, lol.

John: Yep, cause then they'll bond to you easier. And the pictures are a visual explanation of my desire for one. The blue is a nice color but the silver one has more space, meaning if I end up buying one ... it'll probably be the latter.

Sarah: What do you say we pick up a couple of sailors, rent a boat and have them transport us around the world? =D

Sexyness: Awwww ;_; The offer is hard to refuse.

Rustym: Ah, so If I just move house ... Hmmm. For some reason it seems that strays are more affectionate because they depend on people's kindness to feed them. The cats you've already got expect to be fed without giving much in return. Maybe?

James: Glad to hear it *bows*

Hevn: And besides, if you fall you get ice-cream! =D Oooo, bear cat *huggles*

*stretch*

Man, I really needed that nap >>

Anyways, thanks to Alan and his superior knowledge with HTML (if he protests I shall bring out my barrage of bad puns), I've managed to make the story look rather good on a little site of its own ..... If it weren't for those wretched ads Angelfire dumps all over it -.-

It still needs some polishing, I think, which will be so much easier to do now that it's in a format my eyes can work better with ^_^;

So once again, thanks Alan for yer help. I could've done it without you but then it'd be really ugly :p

And Drix has a very nice voice *grins and runs off*

EDIT: Gah, singing "Somewhere over the rainbow is difficult :/ *tries to anyway* >>

   Randomosity

I'm about to ask very stupid questions now, which isn't anything new to those who talk to me regularly *glances over to Azure*

If someone on death row suffers from a chardiac arrest, are paramedics sent in and do everything in their power to keep this person alive/revive him/her? What if they suffer a stroke, will they be taken to hospital and nursed back to a state of better health and then given the lethal injection when the time rolls around?

Yeah, I don't live in America and have little insight into how things work so I rely on people who live there to tell me these things when they randomly pop up into my brain >>

That's something that happens faily often as well: random thoughts or lyrics sneaking up on me and demanding an answer. Last night it was a song sung by someone who was around in Hollywood sometime in the 1940's. [As it turns out it wasn't done in the 1940's but 1935, hehe.] All I could remember was the very first line ("Heaven, I'm in heaven") and that it was a male singer. Mom's usually good at remembering names from that time but she was preoccupied with a movie and I had little success trying to search it out. Alan helped me by googling it (I was silly enough to use Yahoo's search engine) and the result was this:

Cheek to Cheek - Fred Astaire [Has anyone else recorded this?]

Heaven, I'm in Heaven,
And my heart beats so that I can hardly speak;
And I seem to find the happiness I seek
When we're out together dancing, cheek to cheek.

Heaven, I'm in Heaven,
And the cares that hang around me thro' the week
Seem to vanish like a gambler's lucky streak
When we're out together dancing, cheek to cheek.

Oh! I love to climb a mountain,
And to reach the highest peak,
But it doesn't thrill me half as much
As dancing cheek to cheek.

Oh! I love to go out fishing
In a river or a creek,
But I don't enjoy it half as much
As dancing cheek to cheek.

Dance with me
I want my arm about you;
The charm about you
Will carry me thro' to Heaven

I'm in Heaven,
and my heart beats so that I can hardly speak;
And I seem to find the happiness I seek
When we're out together dancing cheek to cheek.

I'm also pretty much done with the latest installment to my Reanimatrix story. Unfortunately Word crashed and is refusing to re-install so it's been done in WordPad. Since I'm not used to that format I can't be sure if I'm happy with the result as it stands now >> Anywhooo, we'll see when it turns up :p

*looks at the comments and edits in replies*

Hevn: He's almost as cute as two people I know. Seeing all those cake pictures made me want to be a confectioner >>

Alan: =\ Isn't that how they're supposed to be? ;p

Shin: I foolishly thought you wouldn't notice, seeing as it's stayed pretty much the same color as before ... well, maybe I am just messing with you XD

(Seriously, I was getting tired of the transparent background and tried to stay within the same color scheme. And this one will stay for quite a while... maybe I'll switch the background around a bit, using other cake pictures, but the colors stay ^_^)

Annie: *catches her* Hehe, that picture made me think of you and you deserve something good *wink*

Sarah: Anything I can do to help you conquer your hunger? :-*

Sennen: *grins* Good to see that the appreciation is shared ~_^

Badness: Mhm, this bear could go places. Literally, lol.

Hero: XD Well quoted. You get 10 chocolate points from me ;)

Bossyness: Yesh, the cherries beckon us all .... most of us anyway >>

(There were these candy bars with Disney characters on them and they were in white chocolate, having a milk chocolate 'frame' around them. I miss that ;_;)

John: There must be people who don't like chocolate cake or the competition for them would be too great ~_^ And I'm sure Schnookums would accept you as his student, provided you supply him with your laugh-inducing entertainment =D

Angel: Hey, we could carry on for several days *drools* And since we wouldn't be able to eat the cakes, we'd get the pleasure without the fat! :O

Panda: *gives her plenty of towels* There's a lot to look at, trust me. I'll see you at the funny farm when they serve cake for dessert XP

Angelicbeauty: *laughs* I prefer the sun to a flashlight but I get the geist of it, lol. And your avatar is so cool. Gotta love Johnny Dep ^_^

"Pretty please with a cherry on top" has newfound meaning, hehe. Random googling for stuff is real fun and I've come across other random fun stuff while doing so, lol. But ehm, don't ask me how many pages of 'chocolate cake' I browsed through >>

But in even more awesome news, Alan has fixed up the Schnookums site! Go forth!

Picatooooor time again

First off I'd just like to point out that dad's bought a toolbox, with some tools included, to all the girls except me. I had to get my own which has been filled with tools I bought all by myself. Yes, much pride is bestowed on it and its presence in my wardrobe :3

Anyway, I went to my semi-regular visit to the homeopath today and decided to check out some stores on my way back home and found some uber nifty stuff. Unfortunately my bank wouldn't allow me to buy everything my eyes set sight on ;_; But I did get away with a money box which is the most badass money box of them all 8) His name is Willhelm, since I put him on the kitchen table and his gun happened to be aiming at the salt/pepper apple that stood there.

There was some other stuff I bought, but I might give them away as presents so nothing will be said about them >:P

While taking pictures of the stuff, Schnookums also got some time in the spotlight. I shall hassle Alan about those later and get them looking good by the power invested in his html skills.

Uhm, what else .... Oh yeah, there's now serious talk about moving house. That is, we are moving. When we've found somewhere to stay and have sold our house, haha. Realistically speaking I doubt anything major will happen before summer rolls in though.

We had this discussion pretty much straight after my session (this Wednesday) which wasn't the best of times considering I was drained. But it needed to be done and now everyone knows where everyone else is standing in the issue. Mom and dad had their usual 'hidden' spiels towards each other and I managed to sit through the whole thing, from start to finish. It's nice to know I can brave through hard issues without breaking down these days, lol. Or maybe I'm too tired to care about anything right now *shrugs*

Speaking of tired, which the trip today made me, which reminds me I saw 5 birds of prey while on the road, .... *forgets what she was going to say* ....

PLUSHIES ROCK!

Laaaaaaazy

Alan: My thoughts exactly when mom pointed me in its direction :-*

Alex: Imagine how awesome it is 'in person' *purrs*

Pyro: *the sheep wiggles its ears* Eeeee ^___^

Akamaru: In a hobby shop in my younger sister's town. I might have to go back there and stock up on them ;p

Sennen: *sheep parts a path in the rubbish lying in Mimmi's room* Godly indeed XP The wallpaper does look familiar, doesn't it? Hrm.

HC: *smiles, the sun reflected in her bloodstained fangs* You're too funny, this little fella wouldn't cause anyone any harm =)

Sarah: :O!!!! That sounds like a book that belongs in my needy little hands *searches for it*

Baron: .... Yes, focus on the cuteness >> *camouflages her slave shop of sheeps making wool for below minimum wages*

James: Heh, I didn't think of the wallpaper ending up on the photo until Alan pointed it out. *was sitting at the computer when she remembered she was supposed to take pictures of the handbag and was too lazy to arrange anything fancy, therefore just plopped it down on the keyboard and snapped a couple* Anywho.

Annie: It's the best accomplice--- buddy *cough* a girl can have :-*

Badness: This little fella just oozes of badness, it's making me cower in its presence :3

Liebling: That is now his petname! *Phantasmagorical nods in agreement* =D

Rustym: XD Best comment, no doubt *hugs*

John: *gives him bucket* 'Mind the floor' is all I ask =\

Panda: I'd love to see pictures of your panda purse! =D

Juuthena: Baaaa! ^____^

Hero: *snaps his pants* Why thank you ~_^ And as long as there are sheep, there's no end to how far my cuteness can go! ;-*

PS: Those who've read my story in the Reanimatrix thread, does anyone get any particular names in their minds when reading it? For the girl/woman and boy/man.
