Welcome to my site archives. 10 posts are listed per page.
I should learn to leave the Subject line well alone XD
Schultzers: Yeah, I hear ya on that one. *pops some pills* :p
Tinker: Me too ^_______^
Samie: You are, huh? Which ones are your favorites?
Cheshy: One must always abuse even the slightest of powers, especially if it's to your own advantage, mwuahahaha! Yay for slowpokes :D
Molls: Awwwww, poor Molly is missing out on the Literati action. We must correct this as soon as possible!
Beckles: *bounces along with her* Play the movie! Ja, play!
I failed to share the awesomeness of the gifts that Slick gave me while he was over here! Must try to keep up my facade of being generous and giving >.>
The image stretches the page so you'll have to copy-paste the link: http://s35.photobucket.com/albums/d159/Mimminx/?action=view¤t=IMG_0647.jpg
A fashionable moose/elk handbag and a "cricket"! Both fab gifts :3
Also, seeing how the OAF squad enjoyed the last cardboard sign, and while the camera was still on, I took a photo of my latest creation. It's probably a good thing there's not much cardboard left to play with ;p
I just played Word Racer with a pro gamer. My head is still spinning @_@
Will post when brain dares to work again.
Yes dear people. Here I am, more able to talk about today! And what a busy day it's been. At least where internet is concerned, haha. Real life = slow.
Lots of people have been really nice and played Literati with me these past couple of days - Shy beat me without mercy, John graciously played several games, Japan finally got Yahoo Games to work and at long last I got to play with Kei!
Honrary mention goes to Tony and Joko for tagging along ^_^
The lucky break to play someone I've had my eyes on for a while also came today. Said person was kind enough to accept, even extending an invite to play a game called Word Racer (likewise over at Yahoo Games) afterwards. Not being one to bail out on word games courtesy, I happily accepted. Totally oblivious as to what I was getting into, mind you!
Luckily for me he was nice and explained how to play it - even giving me a head start. Boy did I need it! Once he got started I was left in the dust. Or rather buried 6 feet under ;p
It is now firmly established that speed games aren't my scene. At all. Mad respect to Mr Pro, though. I had fun!
Commentary comments:
Slick: My mom introduced me to her a couple of months back. All it took for me to get hooked was hearing her sing the first line in that song. So beautiful. It sure is a shame she'll no more grace us with more of her voice.
Sabagi: Castles are totally spiffy, especially for hide-and-seek! Though I'd be too intimidated to live in one, permanently ^^;
Samie: You were right, I got to play plenty! And my weekend was up/down. I hope you had a good one ^^
Schultz: Yeaaaaaah, "Extreme Makeover - Home Edition" ate my soul, as you already know >.>;
Twilight Willow: I did, thanks! :D
Azure: I would love to play with you :)
And you're absolutely right in what you're saying. Haha, I recall you telling me this way back when I had a similar episode and made the bad choice of not playing my best. Haven't done that since, though.
FLAME GAME ON!
Molly: We will play. Oh yes, we will. And it will be glorious ~_^
Shimmy-Loo: Well, you're excused because you have a valid reason :p It'd still be great to catch up on a game or more when you have the chance!
I also want to play much more Literati (*Hikaru no Go moment*) but it's hard to find people to play. They're either not interested in the game in the first place or they decline to play because they think I'm some sort of monstrous champion who's unbeatable. And by the odd chance I manage to drag someone into a game I feel immensely guilty if I win, or I end up having to convince them I did not hold back if they take home the trophy.
It's sad when something you love to play is attached with so many negatives.
Thank you Shy and Shin for being so very tolerant with me over a long period of time. If I win it's only because you're both great players who inspire me to play at my best :-/ Sorry.
..... Aren't I the whiny pup lately? :x
Yesterday's commentary
Molly: Lots of sugar to you, Molls :3
Slick: ..... >.> It kinda had ties to weapons and drugs but in a completely harmless way!
Cheshy: lol, it probably saved you some sanity to miss out on my mini-flu ^_^;
I had no idea you worked in a mailroom. D'ya like it? *has ties with the post office line of work ... however briefly*
Alexa: *purrs* You're rockin' sweet :3
SailorBadGirl: Errrr, the name rings a bell but my memory has a terrible tendency to wig out on me :-/ But thanks! *hugs*
Commentary on July 9th -07
Shishou: *swims around in the attention* ^_^
Shaow: @_@ *grabs Shaow and gets jiggy with it*
Slick: :D Gotta keep the pony joke alive! *plays with her cricket*
Alexa: *is a spoiled slob* ;)
Becksy: XD You sneaky vixen *huggles*
Clair: Ugh, yeah. Lots of people are sick around here. You too, huh? Get better soon! Relax plenty and eat yummy things *hug* =)
I do loves me some Eva Cassidy *nods*
The floor is open to questions so feel free to hit up the comment box.
I kick America's incoming mail rules for ruining a fun plan.
* Still gonna send something off, though. And this time it'll be edible.
I kick Photoshop for destroying an image, which I'm vaguely happy about, by not wanting to compress the layers accurately. Shutting down and restarting Photoshop did the trick. Hopefully it actually turned out ok to look at.
Had I made more progress on a third project I probably would've wanted to kick it too....
* This one will be finished one day. Just gotta make up my mind about everything, haha.
I wanna get to the finish line with something *flails*
..... Now I'm gonna forget about everything that's gone wrong and go to sleep without a care, nyuuuu~
Thanks everyone for seeing me through a particularly evil bout of the mini-flu! I hope those of you who are suffering through colds/whatnot will feel better soon :3
Sickness strikes! Behold me flop down onto the floor and paw at you all for (some more) attention <:3
Is there by any chance a Doctor in the house, ready and able?? ... *giggles* ...Ehum. Le swoon. Yeeeeesssss >.>
Scultzers: *puts on boots for whenever that time comes* ¬¬;;;;;
Shimmy-Poo: You're too awesome for words so I'll display my love whenever we get 'round to play, a'ight? :D
Twilight Willow: Awwwww, sank you *giggles*
Samie: You're missing out! Literati is an online version of Scrabble over at Yahoo Games *plugs shamelessly*
Slickety-slick: *ruffles your hair* The posts you put up are splendorific, regardless of which mood you're in and that's quite the raw talent :o
MC: Brilliant suggestion! *snuggles* Sorry for being a lazy ass and not swinging by your place too often. I are ashamed of meself ;_; (And your layouts are always a sure-fire way to brighten my spirits -^_^-)
I am currently torn between marathoning "Hikaru no Go" and all of the Anime Pulse past podcasts .....
Because I bet no one will play Literati with me even if I do sign onto AIM. At least not anyone out of those who would happen to be online at the same time as me.
And this is a fine example of how you should just continue not posting when you're in this kind of mood :D
Excuse me whilst I excuse myself for this post and wait for tomorrow to come around so I can continue on my most recent project which happens to demand a trip to a delightful shop in order to get any further. /tease
*tries to divert surge of inspiration away from re-designing this place*
~Tell me something I don't know, need to be reminded of, should never forget, or really wanted to hear while struggling to outline some sort of post.
Some of you might remember a "test" I shared once upon a time. It's time to throw it in here again so if you know what the deal is don't spoil it for others.
Here's what you do: In each of the 8 squares is a 'symbol'. For each symbol, doodle what comes to you as you look at it and attach a noun.
If my inability to explain properly has left you confused ... which is most likely the case ... I'll give you an example:
If you don't want to share your doodles with everyone you could just send me the link in a PM. Otherwise just leave the link here in zeh comment box. Whenever enough time has passed I shall explain what it's about.
Ehum. As mentioned in a previous post my sillyness mustered a grand return on the day SomeGuy was leaving. Pieces of cardboard was scattered throughout the house and it occured to me that an unopened box of crayons lurked in my closet. Put the two together, what do you get?
Something that was too big for a photo booth, that's what! >:O
I may or may not spoil Noir and Lain in this post!
Schultz: .... O.W.C.H.I.E.S >_< You've got my full sympathy, man.
Mollster: Ack, it sure was. But it also gave me an even more valid reason to not bother doing any work >____________>
Shimmy-Loo: *glomps* I need to get on AIM and cling you sooner than later! Mebbe even rub your knee ego :p
It's been a looooooooooooong time since an anime made me cry as much as I have today. Tears of all sorts. Good and bad. A whole lot of it.
It came to my attention that there wasn't much space to play around with on my hard drive so I figured it was time to actually watch some of the series I downloaded .... however long ago it was.
Noir - Uhm. Partly enjoyable.
+ The gun action was sweet. Made for a nice chance from the classical sword fights.
+ Following Kirika's emotional journey was interesting, even though it didn't feel like it made sense in some instances. (Kill, maim, dead eyes, no expression, KITTY!, oh poor old man <- for instance.)
- Repetitive flash backs. Oh boy. They really tested my willingness to finish the show with that one. And I got through DBZ relatively unharmed.
- Altena. Ugh. The lead-up to the end goes pretty much hand in hand with her and a lot of the things remotely related to her.
Either way, the show didn't leave a lasting impact on me. Though I did enjoy the irony of Soldat.
Serial Experiments Lain - .... Hm. Didn't stay on my hard drive either, heh.
* No plus or minus points come to mind when trying to say something about the show. The only thing I can say clearly is that while preparing a snack after having watched Lain it struck me that she resembled Jesus' life on earth. The whole living in our 'world', being tested/put through trials, sacrificing herself for the sake of humanity and reuniting with Daddy.
Guess it wasn't my kind of show.
Kanon - My eyes, nose and heart is still being affected by it xD
+ Everything
- Putting me through that much emotional havoc!
In my opinion it kicked Air's ass to Pluto. Kanon gave me all the satisfaction (and then some!) that Air sadly failed to give me.
Yeah, those aren't exactly reviews. But it's past midnight and my eyes are still a bit swollen so that's all you're getting :p
