Of skirts and pants
Mmmm, I just finished watching 'Equilibrium' and it was muchly good. Action, style, all of it. And there's still 'Hero' to watch *swoons*
Solo was given the 'Final Mimmi Approval' yesterday for the pictures he showed me, so expect those to be up soon *braces herself*
But before I go off and marvel at 'Hero' and write up the next installment of the tripness, I give you ....
When Mimmi stole Solo's Pants - For real !
Hehe, yep. I 'stole' his pants and tried them out, while he did the same with my skirt ! Awesome fun ^_^ His sister helped us take the pictures. I just hope we didn't scar her for life >>
EDIT: Oh my. Hero was .... *blubbers* So stunning. I'm getting spoiled with good movie watching here *_*

Day 1 - part II & Day 2
After walking along the Thames for a while and being extemely silly (not sleeping much and being on the move will do that to you, heh) I dragged Solo and myself back to The Globe. It was still a couple of minutes until the tour started, so we checked out the exhibition inside. It was neat to see models of The Globe and instruments used back in the old days, etc.
There was a flight of stairs going down to the first floor, looking like something that lead down into a jacuzzi, and this stunningly beautiful tree stood close to the base of the stairs. Should've taken a picture of it, but it slipped my mind *snaps fingers*
Anyway, the tour was delayed for a little bit, since the play dragged on (they had a full house - 1500 people !!) and they obviously couldn't let us in until all the people had been herded out :p
Our guide was great, though I can't remember her name, and the atmosphere inside .... just wow. To be perfectly honest the outside didn't evoke anything in me, but once we stepped through the door and into The Globe I was almost overwhelmed with a fantastical, theatrical feel ^___^
The Globe - Tribute to Arcadia !
The girl on the last picture was our guide ^_^
Aside from the tour, we had planned to head over to Forbidden Planet (since last time we only got to look around for a couple of minutes) and there wasn't much time left before it closed. Typically enough it was a repeat of last time and we got there about 10 minutes before closing time, haha. I wonder if I have this influence on people to get lost or something >>
It was, however, enough to find some Terry Pratchett books for my sister (the price for the Yoshitaka Amano artbook was a bit steep for my wallet) and Solo found some articles as well. The cashier was rude to Solo though, which made me want to thwack him. (Yes, I do have a temper.)
At this stage it was getting kind of late, considering the train ride to Chichester would take about 2 hours. By now I was a little bit nervous about meeting his parents. Well, nervous about what they'd think of me. It wouldn't be much fun (for myself or Solo) if they absolutely hated me >> And I'm also very sensitive to personal chemistry, so even if they turned out to be really nice people it wouldn't guarantee that I'd feel comfortable around them.
As it turns out, I had nothing to be worried about ^_^ ... Now that I think about it, they sort of remind me of my own parents O.o In some small way, anyway.
Solo's younger sister was also nice, though I'm sure she questioned our sanity at one point *laughs*
Romulus and Merlin were uber friendly and accepted me rather quickly (not to mention lovingly, haha), so I felt at ease instantly.
But I also felt really tired and turned in after updating MyO half-assed. I got to take over the room that belongs to Solo's older sister and it was better than the finest hotel room, in my opinion !
After getting a good nights sleep, we spent most of Sunday watching RahXephon (which I now can pronounce ! Couldn't spell it though, heh. Thanks Arcadia) and it really blew me away. A few episodes towards the end nearly had me sobbing hysterically, it was so emotional, but I held it in as to not worry Solo ^_^;;;
We did take breaks to walk the dogs in the lovely English countryside and I managed to make pancakes that actually tasted good :o We made the batter in the kitchen and then used this funny thing to actually make them in the livingroom :O! That was absolutely hilarious, lol. I can't really describe the contraption we used, so ask Solo about that ^_^;
Solo also showed me around the garden, which was lovely, and I got to meet the man responsible for the lovelyness. Tony, an older gentleman, who called me 'cherub' -^_^- I also got plenty of compliments for my skirt _^_ Everyone was so good to me, hehe.
That's it for today !
Pictures of more ships tomorrow :D

Soon, very soon
The Globe pictures will be up later today, as promised ^_^
My younger sister is over for a couple of hours, so I want to spend some time with her, rather than organizing the pictures and write the post. But it will be up by the end of the day !
Commentary comment
Solo: Hm, I can send pictures from my phone to my e-mail. Have you tried that/can you do that ? Oh, and is it ok if I post pictures with you on them ? Seeing as I'm so controlling over what you can post and all, hehe >>
Sarah: ^__^ My new camera's being very good to me. It also helps to have an image program that can lighten up the pictures that came out a bit dark, due to the cloudyness >>
Badness: You were with us in spirit for each second inside The Globe ^_^
Red: I'm intrigued as to what you call that statue ~_^
RyudoStarwind: Hey there, pleased to see you ^_^ *gasp* You live there and still don't know where they are ? .... Well, I don't know much about the ships either, so 'Welcome to the club' :p
Rant Master Shin: Yeah, that egg/sphere was awesome. I should've taken a picture of the balls too, lol.
John: *points* It's right there, unless I'm mistaken....
Juu: Haha, did my feet hurt from all the walking ? .... Yes -_- I'll fill you in more in a later post *cough*
And don't even think about saying my pictures are better than yours ! *shakes fist and feeds her cookies* ~_^

Day 1 - part I
My trip towards London started at 4 o'clock, Saturday morning. I wasn't supposed to get up until 5 and tried to get back to sleep. To no avail, haha. So after 'updating' this place with the vague post, at least it would come off that to those who had no idea ... hmm, I wonder how many was actually surprised/had no clue what was going on... Show of hands ? :p
Anyway, onwards with the telling of the trip.
Most of the stuff had been packed the day before, but there's always the last minute things that need to be thrown in (toothbrush etc). Since I had gotten up 1 hour earlier than planned there was no need to stress around, and everything was ready well before we (dad and I) headed out at 6.30.
The drive down was nice, especially since dad didn't turn on the radio until we were fairly close to Gothenburg and the radio station played ballads. Traffic was good too, so we arrived in time for the bus that would take me to the airport. Then it was just a case of waiting for the plane, which was boring and made me aware of how tired I actually was.
The flight over to London went pretty fast and we got there 20 minutes ahead of schedule, though my watch was still running on Sweden time so I thought my carefully planned schedule of meeting up with Solo would be completely ruined and force him to wait a very long time for me. Luckily that wasn't the case. But it took a while for my suitcase to show up and that time put me right on track again, timewise. (*feels proud that for once she estimated the time right* Heh.)
The trainride in to London was nothing out of the ordinary, just a few text messages back and forth with Solo whose train had been cancelled and so he had to find an alternative route. We joked about who'd get there first and it turned out to be me :p
By the time we found each other (silly me wasn't clear enough about where I was standing and I had to shift a couple of times due to smoking people *grumbles*) I was a bit out of it and semi-collapsed in his arms. A repetition of the last time, in other words, lol. Ah well.
We dumped off my evil suitcase at a luggage storage place and headed off to The Globe. Cue first batch of pictures that are nowhere near as good as Juuthenas !
WARNING !
These pictures are very big and might take some time to upload.
The Globe tour didn't start until 5 pm and we had some time to kill, so we strolled down the Thames and came upon a couple of ships. This is a replica of a ship called "The Golden Hind". And that's pretty much all I can say about it XD
There's the famous London Bridge and another ship. I know the Royal Family has something to do with a warship, but whether or not this is the one and what it's called ... beats me >>;;
Here we have Tower Bridge and a strange ... sculpture ? It didn't have a plaque or anything, so we don't know what that was about. A stonesthrow away were two other black 'spheres', circular in shape. Alien invasion, anyone ? :p
Making our way back to The Globe, I spotted this amazing alley. And that fountain looked funky so we walked 'in'. A man tried to take a picture of his wife and kid, but the kid wasn't being very cooperative, haha. It looked funny and I couldn't resist snapping their picture, blurry as it came out.
Next time we take a tour of The Globe and dedicate that post to Arcadia !

Coming soon - EDITED
I'll be posting some pictures later on today. Knowing how anxious people are to see them (and how dead I'll be if I don't show them) they've simply been cropped slightly. Meaning they'll be very big and might take a while to get a better look at ^_^;;;
Solo, if you post any pictures of me before getting the 'final Mimmi approval' ... there will be consequences ~_^
Uhm, so this post will be deleted once uploading the pictures is done, so don't bother writing a profound comment or anything :p It's just a reminder that your wishes will be fulfilled *bows swirly*
EDIT to Solo: Some of your pictures has the 'Seal of Approval', but they need the 'Final Seal of Approval' ~_^ .... how many more did you actually take ? >>;;;

Some people rent rooms, others deckchairs
Mwuah to all you lovely people. This is Mimmi reporting from her own room back in Sweden. It's almost 1 am here and my bed is looking ... very tempting *glances at it*
So I'll just type up a few things that I didn't want to forget:
* A flight attendant (on the ride over to England) said "Take care darling" and it made me think of Arcadia. And Sara too, actually. Well, lots of people now that I think about it, but this was only supposed to be short sentences so that I could remember them *ducktapes her mouth*
* I bought chocolate. The Jeh kind of chocolate ~_^
* I completely forgot to buy flowers to Solo's mom as a 'thankyou for having me and making my stay enjoyable'. *hits head on wall* Must do something to rectify that.
* Serenity.
* The keys are finally where they're supposed to be ! *rejoices* And I have my dictionary ;_;
* You guys didn't specify that you wanted pictures of me and Solo, so I could just show you anything, like the picture of George *cackles an 'evil Shinmaru cackle' and runs off*
*snogs and hugs*
... it's gonna kill me to get up-to-date with everyone's MyOtakus O.o;;;;

Picatoors a-plenty
But not today >;p We have taken quite a lot today, both of each other and we even managed to get someone help take a picture of us both. Just in case you're doubting we're in the same place at the same time ~_^
As usual I'll leave it up to Solo to do the more finer details. I'll try my best to do some sort of 'major' update once I get home. Maybe. We'll see >>;;;;
Quote of the [yester]day: If you need a tongue, mine's always handy.
Random thought of the day: Solo looks good from every angle. And that's about as far as I should take that thought *audience reaction*
Have a great day, ladies and gentlemen.
Go find yourself a bum and grab it ;p

You can undress me later
I love that quote, hehehe.
We are trying to take lots of pictures, but I'm afraid Solo's being rather restrained by me. I don't think I transfer well to photos >>;;;;
But we've taken plenty of pictures, just on various stuff/people.
Seeing as Solo's so much better at writing updates I'll leave it up to him to 'report' to you guys ;p
I am having such a lovely time here I have to wonder what I've done to deserve this ^___^

blank space
RaXephon (which I will learn how to pronounce) is a very awesome series. We spent pretty much the whole day going through it and by the end my brain was very .... busy with ideas and questions *_*
But brilliant it was !
I also had the pleasure of being walked by Merlin, one of the dogs that resides here. He was very nice to me and didn't attempt to rush into traffic or chase after any wildlife.
I am slowly letting go of the horrible awareness of how my accents sound and my stuttering ability to communicate with people. Coming off as a fool for smiling the whole time is something I can life with ;P
Hugo's taking really good care of me, as is his family (and the dogs too, loveable as they are), so no one need worry about me.
.... And no one need to worry about Hugo either. I swear I'm trying to be on my best behaviour *cough* I think I need chocolate to keep that up though >>;;;
Love you all !

Well....
I'm not telling !
Besides, Solo's already spilled the beans and they're all over the floor.
So glad I don't have to take care of the cleaning up.
But these keys are everywhere except for where I want them, arrrrr.
Uuuuuh, I've been up since 4 this morning.
Awake, excited, sleepy, excited, tired/headache, giddy, giddier, oh-my-did I just did what I did *gasp*, sleepy to the point where my ususal sllyness will come off as .... well, you don't need to know that >>;;;;
So yeah, it's been a full day (filled with ... stuffness and goodness). Mimmi is teh zzzzzzzzz.
Love you all ^_^
