I am so cranky. My dad was made aware of that rather brutally *lol*
But anyway, pictures. I figured it'd be easier if I just made a link to each picture and a little description beneath the link – that way you can decide for yourself which ones you want to look at and so on, so forth.
Give the Bear a *Hug*
Yeah, someone was dressed out as a bear and advertising some store, where you could customise a bear and give it a voice-box/clothes/name. I initially only wanted to take a picture of the bear-person and the girl handing out the flyers, but she suggested I stand with the bear and she take a picture of us. I was up for it, as you can see *lol*
That coat is 2 sizes too big for me, by the way. But it was too cold for my jeans jacket =\
Spring cannot come soon enough for me now ~_^
.... And I seriously would like to know how old people think I look. Really. 15 ? Less ?....
Rawr – Beware the Lions
These things were all over the place. I don't know what purpose they served, but they looked fun. Made out of concrete, I would think. Mjao ~_^
Statue
There were a lot of weird statues, but this one caught my eye. There's a child in between the two people, don't know if you can see that. I forgot to check what it was meant to symbolize, but not knowing gives me the freedom to make up my own mind about it ^_^
Latin on a building
The picture is actually much larger, but I was only interested in the Latin writing you see here. If anyone can see what it says and translate it, be sure to pass it on to me ^_^
Bridge over troubled water
Well, not really. This is the bridge that connects the more "modern" parts of Stockholm to "Gamla Stan" (Old Town). The streets in there are very narrow, very old, the buildings tower up towards the sky and makes you feel almost cocooned (or claustrophobic, take your pick) and it has lots of character seeping out of every corner.
It's like something out of a Final Fantasy game, actually *muses*
The horrors of public bathrooms
A public bathroom, in the middle of ... somewhere *lol* I wonder how much it helps to keep the city clean, though >_>;
Jade Travel !
This one goes out to Charmi ~_^
My sister looked at me oddly when I took it, hehe.
Once I get the other roll developed, there might be some more fun/odd pictures to show. As well as stories to embark on *dramatic gestures*
... and before I end this post, I want to say that I am fascinated by peoples hands...
now you know *shifty*

Jumbled post
I've been playing around with the pictures from Stockholm. Got them developed yesterday. I haven't figured out whether or not to do the same as the last picture post or .... bah, we'll see. It might be up later today, if I feel well enough.
Yes, taking everyone's advice and resting means that I don't comment as much as I would normally. So if people are feeling left out.... too bad :p
While waiting for the Stockholm stuff, I give you:
Quiksilver and Haircut
*cough**mumble**cough*
Heh, my sister called this morning and asked for my bank account number-thingy. She's going to pay back the money I lend her.
More money = Hello "The Last Samurai" OST or/and "The Matrix" DVD ~_^
Generosity pays back in the long run *grins giddily*

I was in the weirdest mood last night....
I've never been drunk, but I think I got pretty close to what it'd feel like last night. I was so dizzy that sitting on the chair was rather tricky. I barely had a straight thought, and lacked the ability to follow what I was doing.
Why throw your money on alcohol, when your own body can simulate the same effects ? ^_^;
.. I am resting, it's just that my cold is enjoying my company far too much to go away quickly =\
So worry not about me, I'm not doing anything that is jeopardizing my health *nods*
Matrix
Well, I don't have any questions as of yet. But if I do, then I'll be sure to come running to you James. It's already spawning thoughts in my head, which indicates that I'll be able to come away with something. It may not be what everyone else has gotten from it, but maybe there is more than one thing to walk away with ?
When I sat through it a second time, taking random notes, it was so much easier to follow. I really don't recommend seeing this movie when you're in a fever frenzy ^_^;
Too bad I had to give it back, there's still stuff playing in my mind that I want to go back and check... I also need to check my bank account >__>;
As I was putting down various thoughts, I realised that I'm not sure what the definition of "philosophical" is. Because I was sitting there marvelling in the "psychological" issues, only to later wonder if those two really are separate things.
Dictionary search on Philosophy:1. Love and pursuit of wisdom by intellectual means and moral self-discipline.
philosophy
\Phi*los"o*phy\, n.; pl. Philosophies. [OE. philosophie, F. philosophie, L. philosophia, from Gr. ?. See Philosopher.] 1. Literally, the love of, including the search after, wisdom; in actual usage, the knowledge of phenomena as explained by, and resolved into, causes and reasons, powers and laws.
Note: When applied to any particular department of knowledge, philosophy denotes the general laws or principles under which all the subordinate phenomena or facts relating to that subject are comprehended. Thus philosophy, when applied to God and the divine government, is called theology; when applied to material objects, it is called physics; when it treats of man, it is called anthropology and psychology, with which are connected logic and ethics; when it treats of the necessary conceptions and relations by which philosophy is possible, it is called metaphysics. Dictionary search on Psychology:1. The science that deals with mental processes and behavior.
psychology
\Psy*chol"o*gy\, n. pl. Psychologies. [Psycho- + -logy: cf. F. psychologie. See Psychical.] The science of the human soul; specifically, the systematic or scientific knowledge of the powers and functions of the human soul, so far as they are known by consciousness; a treatise on the human soul.
To me Philosophy has been about searching for knowledge, processing information.
Psychology has been what happens when you attain certain knowledge/information. Your reaction to it.
.... am I correct in my way of thinking ? Reading the dictionary's definition both affirmed and made me doubtful, at the same time *lol* I guess they all tie into each other at some point.
Wow, I'm thinking. Maybe it's all a jumble of mess, but it's still labelled thinking ~_^
Favourite scenes from the movie
* The "Engineering Level scene", in Zion.
* The "Building scene", when the Keymaker is talking about all the doors. I can't put words on it at this particular moment, but everything he said sent shivers down my spine. I'm sure those who've seen it get what I'm saying.
The more I'm thinking about this, the more I realise that I need/want to dive deeper into this... universe, in lack of a better word. I think it'd do me good.
I was given "The Animatrix", but I think I'll hold of watching that one till after I'm done with the three main movies.
... I still need to see "The Last Samurai" some more...
No matter what length your hair is, I Love Ya'll Lots !
And I want pictures, Charmi ;p

Reloaded
I probably had a fever yesterday and watching "Reloaded" while in a hazy state, was... rather interesting ^_^;
I'm gonna look at it one more time before I return it, maybe take some notes - since I tend to forget what I think so easily.
They didn't have the first movie in and I completely forgot that the last one isn't out on DVD/VHS yet -_-;
Seeing as I can't remember every single detail from the first movie, I felt somewhat handicapped - which I wanted to avoid, but since it couldn't be helped *shrugs*
I'll make sure to rent all three when the last one comes out. Like I intended in the first place ^_^;
I feel slightly better today. Resting actually works, even if it means I have less fun =P
Today I'm getting a haircut - nothing fancy, just a trim. I'm in the process of trying to let it grow longer, which I've tried numerous times.. always ending with me saying "bah, just cut it off" *lol*
I really have no patience for some stuff ~_^
Mmmm.... can't think of anything else at the moment. I'll get back to you later on today, possibly ^__^
Take Care Everyone !

.... heh....
I was just about to go out my front door yesterday, to rent those movies.... but had to crawl back to bed and stay there for a couple of hours.
.... yes, I have yet another cold ^_^;
So I'm not sure if I should try and see the movies (Matrix) or do it some other day, when my brain doesn't feel so fried. I guess I could just look at it and go "ooo, cool effects", but I was hoping to get more out of it =\
We'll see, I usually have a couple of hours when I feel alright - maybe I can squeeze in one at a time *lol*
Sheep
I'm glad you all liked the banner/avi combo, I had loads of fun playing around with it (along with Azure)... I mean, he helped... ehmm ^_^;
Ack, you know what I'm saying =P
The origin of those sheeps : it's actually a computer game, called "Sheep". No, seriously ! The game revolvs around herding sheeps *lol*
I'm too knocked out to be more detailed, but maybe I'll give you all a run-through of it when I'm feeling better ^__^
Oh, SomeGuy: I have "Swing Kids" on a Region 1 DVD. *teases* ~_^
I might be able to make the myO rounds today, but don't expect brilliant comments from me ^_^;
Huggles to you all, Take Care and see you soon ^_^

Mmmm, I'm currently making myself deaf by listening to ”The Best of R.E.M – In time”, as loud as I possibly can ^___^
I don't know if any of you know this, but Azure and I have been putting our creative heads together this week and created yet another masterpiece ~_^
As with the last one, I had ideas – but no means of making it come together. And since it worked so well last time, I figured I'd call on his assistance with this one as well ^_^
So I stayed up late (can't remember which day) and gave him a few pointers to what I had imagined. I don't know how, but he managed to take what I provided him with and make it exactly as I wanted it !
Now - if you want to praise the banner, please remember to mention Azure. He put a lot of effort into making it just the way I had envisioned it.
But I made the avi myself, so just mention me if you like it ;)
Well, my hair is clean and the video store is awaiting me. I'm hoping to pick up some movies I've been meaning to see for.... a couple of months O.o;
It's about time, I guess ^__^
Take Care Everyone !
Remember that people who dress up in bear costumes deserve a hug ~_^

*cuddles her Quicksilver t-shirt*
I'm taking everyone's advice to rest today and therefore I will not be giving an update on yesterday.
........
*falls off chair laughing*
Sorry, but I'm sure you're all laughing with me ~_^
I have been resting today, though. I only did some browsing about myO's and a lame comment in Mitch's poetry thread, which I am deeply sorry about. I wanted to keep my promise about posting today, but I couldn't offer much of a response. If all goes well, that post will be edited tonight. Again, I'm sorry Mitch =\
Ok, I love to dramatize my life and its happenings, but seeing as how I'm barely fending off a cold and taking it easy, I'll try not to go off tangents... But you can't hold that against me, should I break that attempt >__>;
Stockholm
Thursday morning – 05.00 am. My alarm goes off and tells me to get up, despite the fact that I've not slept much and the bed is sleepy warm. (see ? already I'm elaborating and stuff ^_^; )
Dad drops me off at the train station around 06.10 am and I catch the first train for the day. To get to Stockholm, I have to switch trains in a nearby town.
About 20 minutes after I've boarded the connecting train, they make an announcement:
"Ladies and Gentlemen, we have some unfortunate news."
Surely this would make anyone freak out and think that there had been a huge accident and dead people ? ... Yeah, I thought so.
"There is a technical fault to the engine, which means that we cannot go faster than 80 km/h, due to safety reasons. We will stop in [town] where you will be able to switch to another train that will take you to your destination. We apologise blah blah blah."
Huge sigh of relief, no accidents or dead people.
As I got on train nr 2 of the day, I accidentally ended up in 1st class ~_^ But since we'd come from the "broken train" I, and others, were allowed to stay ^__^
I got to Stockholm around 9.30 am and met up with my sister. We headed for McDonalds so that she could get some coffee, which she unfortunately spilled on her hand >__<
The stuff was boiling hot and the personal did nothing to help out -_-
She washed off her hands with some cold water and then we went straight to the Pharmacy and got her some lotion to soothe the burn.
Our first stop of the day (that was planned anyway) was a boutique called Hollywood. They've got clothes from Rip Curl/Quicksilver and I wanted to check that out. Hehe ~_^
I had pretty much decided to buy just the one t-shirt, since my wallet didn't allow for much this month. But seriously, that was one difficult promise to keep =\
I never try clothes on, because I'm lazy and the booths are always bothersome. But I figured that since they weren't your average cheap t-shirts, I'd make the effort and try them on.
.... *tries to explain it, without going dirty on people* 0:]
The quality was pure heaven, it felt like you weren't wearing anything – yet you didn't feel nude. *eyes glaze over*
After trying one t-shirt on, I wanted to stay all day in that booth, trying different stuff out =^_^=
I did want a pair of jeans (hehe, pants) to go along with the t-shirt, but I couldn't find a pair that would go easy on my bank account ^_^;
Next time.. next time >__>
After tearing myself away from the shop, my sister got a haircut. I picked up one of those gossip magazines *cringe* but I wasn't paying much attention to it... you see, there was a guy in there who was speaking English... with an accent... Australian accent ~_^
So my flipping through pages was a sneaky attempt to pretend I wasn't soaking up every word coming out of his mouth. (Oh, I'm such an innocent little girl *wink* )
It was now around lunch time. We made our way to a ... very odd place ^_^;
There was basically a courtyard filled with tables and chairs, and all around the courtyard was all kinds of fast food places (this was indoors, by the way) - Chinese, Italian, burgers and pizzas, you name it. And it was jam packed O.o;
Somehow we landed ourselves a table and got or food decently quick.
You know those pizza plates ? The big ones ? .... The pizza I ordered was bigger than those plates O_O; I think I ate about ¼ >__>;
If we'd known the sizes of those things, we'd only have bought one and shared it ^_^; But it was cheap, so there was no harm ;)
(The pizza bread was yummy. Always get pizza bread with your pizza *nods* )
Then what ? *thinks*
We walked about, visited that sci-fi shop I was talking about (they had an entire wall filled with anime *drools*) but I didn't get anything. Not this time ~_^
I had my camera with me, but it was tricky to take pictures of anything. There were loads of people in the way, other stuff blocking the view and so on. But I took one roll, so we'll see how that develops (hehe).
(.... maybe I should split the day into two posts ?... I'm reaching the third page in Word here.... it'll still be the same amount to read though, so I might as well keep going ) =P
We sat down in a café and eaves dropped on a conversation three foreigners had in Swedish. Yes, you heard me right. They were from Italy and German and keeping a conversation in Swedish. They did a really great job, even with the grammar. It was good fun to listen to them coming to grips with expressions and words, I could've stayed there all day listening to them ^__^
This was around 3 pm and my sister and I were both tired from walking around all morning. My back was also killing me, so we only did a few quick stops in some shops and then sat down on a bench next to a check out in a supermarket *lol*
It's really amusing to observe people checking their groceries out... ^_^;
After a while the noises from the cash registers became too much, so we moved to a nearby café and sat in these really comfy chairs the rest of the time we had left. The serene moment was slightly disturbed by Britney Spears blaring from the speakers and shoppers going mad over the book sale >_>;
But when you're exhausted, you really don't care. We stayed there for an hour or so, until it was time to jump on the train back home.
My train left the station at 18.15 and I was on it.. makes sense right ? =P
When we had been going for 20 minutes or so..... they make an announcement. The same one as this morning ~_^
" Faulty engine, can only go at 80 km/h and when we reach this station it'll be seen to. "
It took over one and a half hour to get to said station, and this was the express train -_-;
The information was scarce and poor, leaving the passengers hanging. The minute you called home/to whomever, they make a new announcement with information that completely overthrows any plans made since the last announcement *rolls eyes*
Luckily I had some great company to make the annoyance bearable.
I sat across this really nice girl, around my age, and she was very open and approachable. I'm normally not very sociable, add to that fact that I was really tired, but we chatted the entire trip away. It was really, really nice.
We also spoke to this older man, who had rushed to catch the train. His brother was dying and he wanted to come home as quickly as possible, hence why he took the express train.
Poor guy was trying to find out how soon he'd arrive at his destination, most likely stressing our real bad, but still managing to keep a somewhat light tone to our conversations.
Thanks to him I got more information about what was going on, than I would've if I had just sat there and waited for announcements.
I missed my connecting train with nearly 2 hours, but the train company had chartered a bus to take home the people who missed that connection. The girl whom I spent most of the time talking to, was on that bus also and we kept each other company until we arrived at my town.
If it hadn't been for her, the day might've been completely ruined... And I didn't even get her name *laughs softly*
The trip was supposed to take a little over 2 hours, meaning I would've been home around 21.00 pm, instead it took 5 hours... I didn't get home until 23.15 pm.
I had basically been on foot for almost a full day O.o;
I got online for a few minutes, spoke to Kenji some and then went to bed, hoping to sleep until tomorrow =P
Now it's today and I've not slept more than I usually do, but I'm not nearly as burnt out as I thought I'd be.
Resting does seem to do the trick ^_^;
And now I'm on my page 4 in Word, so I'll stop writing now and get on AIM. Because talking to you people does me a world of good ^____^
Take Care Everyone !
Remember that there are two time zones in Sweden – the commonly known one and
the express train one ~_^
