*muffled whimper*
My back is killing me. I've been up since 05.00 am and travelling from 06.15 am until now, 23.30 pm.
I will post on today, tomorrow.... if my back doesn't kill me first *moans* =\

Calling all anime friends - "Noir", "hack Sign" or "Chobits" ?
I held off on posting for a day, for Ben's sake. He had to go to page 2 in my archives to catch up on myO O.o;
Poor guy just got home and is swamped with both the internet and school work.
WAZOO Ben !
**********
Heh, I've been wanting to get into anime for quite some time and my sister told me about a video store that sells a selection of anime. I went in today to see what they had. Some titles I recognised, the ones I mentioned in the subject title being three of them (I also saw Trigun and Orphan), others I have no clue on.
Now, there's about 5 discs with Noir and hack Sign. I'm not sure how many Chobits they had, I think I only say 2 or 3.
Obviously I can't get into more than one anime at a time, so which one do I go for ? And no, renting is not an option. They only have the stuff for sale =\
The discs each cost around 16 $ and... yeah, you do the math >_>;
**********
I'm going to my sisters tomorrow, for the day (travelling will take about 4 hours, there and back again). Luckily I got my paycheck today, so shopping is not ruled out ~_^
But since I have to get up at the crack of dawn, I won't be able to stay up late tonight and talk to you lovely people =\
I might be able to stay awake tomorrow when I get back home, we'll see ~_^
Red: I love your approach to annoying people XD
Now.... Am I just seriously struck by the travelling bug, or are there substantial hints in peoples comments these days ? "Tea is always a good helper. *hint hint* :P " ~_^
We all know England is the tea country....
*dramatic gestures and moans* I feel the world call my name !
Liam: Do you mind if I call you Bob ? ;)
Take Care Everyone !
Remember that People and Objects are only as much fun as you make of them ^_^

[Apology]
If you were on aim at the same time as me yesterday and a) I didn't approach you
b) say much it's because I had things to take care of. Some rather urgent issues and some that simply took up my time.
This would also be an appropriate time to say that I rarely approach people on aim. Call it shyness, insecurity. I hate interrupting people, or forcing myself on others, so I sit back and wait for others to make the first move. Sorry ^_^;
Angels' Question
Q: If you could change one thing about anything, what would it be?
A: Hm.... Time difference. It's messing up my sleeping schedule pretty badly, so I'd alter it somehow ~_^
[Yesterday/Today]
Yes... I got very little sleep yesterday night, got up kind of early, and somehow managed to stay busy until 14.30 pm when I caught the bus to the big city. My sister had went there on Saturday, to attend a farewell party for an old friend, so we were to meet up at the cinema. To see "The Last Samurai" for the second time, of course ~_^
I got there around 16.00 pm and sat around. It didn't start until 18.00 and I had told my sister to be there at 17.30 (that way she could have as much time as possible with her friends). During that hour and a half, I got a headache =\
Luckily it went away as the movie started. There was a girl next to me in the theatre that irked at the fight scenes, which I found annoying/odd. I mean, the movie's about Samurais... the poster has Tom Cruise with a sword, charging at someone. Say it with me: "DUH ! Of course there's gonna be blood squirting !" But anyway >_>
This time around, it was quite different.
The first time I saw it, I had to fight an overwhelming urge to stand up and scream "HAI !" or something. I wept at the beauty, the messages, everything. And as I got home, I nearly blocked Boba because he thought I was a Tom Cruise fangirl *LOL*
If the girl that sat next to me had been around on my first viewing of the movie, I'd have easily ripped her pipes out. Now I just sat there and felt sorry for her, because she was missing out on the subtleties and the chore of the story.
Yesterday, I was eerily calm. I'd hate to spoil the movie for people who've not watched it, but there's a scene that perfectly describes how I felt.
The alley scene.
I'll not say more than that.
I need to see it again. Quite seriously. I really do.
EDIT: The supporting cast is just pwhoar. Everyone from Kastumoto's son, to the old guy that guards Tom Cruise. Not to mention Katsumoto's right-hand man. And the soldier that Tom challenges, or the Japanese lieuten--... high rank soldier guy ^_^;
Even the kiddies are doing an excellant job.
(Yes, I can't remember the names >__>; )
I seriously can't tell who's a professional actor and not ^_^
Man, I can't stop gushing about this movie *lol*
[v7]
Hehe, I've not said anything about v7 yet. Reading through the FAQ and Rules was quite amusing, very much like the HTML tutorial - maybe I'm odd that way, but I really enjoyed going over it ^_^
People have said that it's too squished, which I thought at first glance as well. But I've got my setting to 1024*768, so I've found myself not too bothered about any squishy-ness. And I like the menu on the left side.
It'll take me a while to get accustomed to the avi move. But that's not an actual issue =P
The sig limit is quite nice. I'm sure it was fun to play around with, but I felt my following of a thread was sometimes disturbed by the length of signatures =\
I adore the WYSIWYG !!! Editing text is a walk in the park now, no – it is a park bench that you sit on, in a park ! That's how good it is ~_^
The Liquid skin feels very.. liquid. As I assume it would feel like to dive, surrounded by water and feeling perfectly calm. A sort of Embrace.
It'll be cool to see what the coming skins look like though.
And that's about it for now, I've still not fully explored all the cool features that are incorporated ^_^;
Take Care Everyone !
Remember that people and Objects are only as much fun as you make of them ^_^

Bring it on =P
You can still ask questions in the previous post, no worries ^__^
That doesn't mean I don't accept your pants though, SomeGuy ~_^
And I'll be seeing Last Samurai in a matter of hours, so expect to read about it tomorrow ^___^
In the meantime you can go Here and scroll down until you see "The Last Samurai - written last night" ;)
But right now I'm going to put up an article/interview with The Darkness, for Tony and others (CRH being the first to mention them directly to me) who are into the band. ... I just hope we're meaning the same band, or this will be highly amusing, in an embarrassing sort of way ^_^;
**********
The Darkness is the band who's re-opened the gates to the 80's hard rock era, with full on falsetto singing, spandex and guitar solos. A further sign of a revival of the wonders of glam rock, is the reunion of Swedish band Europe.
- "For real ? That's the best f-ing news I've heard in a long time", says guitarist Dan Hawkins. Dan is slouching in a hotel couch next to bass player Frankie Poullain, who is slightly hung-over. Singer Justing Hawkins is prancing about in a pair of leather pants cut so low, half his ass is showing, forcing the record labels representative to run and buy "tunnbrådsrulleer" (thin flat unleavened bread, usually stuffed with mashed potatoes, sausage and stuff).
Along with drummer Ed Graham, they are The Darkness. The band is currently topping any and all charts and filling up arenas with their updated 80's hard rock.
Their debut album "Permission to land" has sold in more than 1,5 million in England, 30 000 copies have been sold in Sweden and they are currently bringing up a storm in USA. With a quarter of a million sold albums, The Darkness is already the biggest British band to be exported to America.- "It might seem like all of this has happened rather quickly, but it's been a long and tough road. We knew 10 years ago that we were just as good as any of the band showing up on MTV, but no one took us seriously", says Dan Hawkins behind tinted sunglasses. Europe and AC/CD
They were hopelessly uncool back then. Today The Darkness is "the best thing to happen to rock, for more than 20 years". With a mix of pompous symphonic rock from the 70's and the long-haired, spandexwearing hard rock of the 80's, they've brought life to a mocked and despised music genre.- "People are saying that it's all hype, but I think we're about to see an explosion of new hard rock bands. People are tired of today's pop music, which is either completely nonsensical or angsty and miserable", says bass player Frankie Poullain. Their musical heroes include bands such as AC/DC, Thin Lizzy, Queen, Def Leppard and Van Halen. Dan Hawkins mentions Swedish hard rock legends Europe, who coincidentally are reuniting this year.- "For real ? Is it our doing ? Ha ha, that's fantastic ! I bought Final Countdown when I was 10 years old and I've always thought that Europe is a brilliant rock band." The Darkness is working hard with conquering the world and making the best of their situation. Because after the tour awaits their most difficult task to come – surviving the hype.- "We've got nothing to be ashamed of. We've never tried to be something we're not. We trust our ability to entertain live. All we need to do is wake up in the morning, BS about, get up on the stage and everything sort itself out", says Frankie and Dan adds:
- "Everyone in the band has the attitude of 'let's take over this angstridden planet and make it a happier place'. That will take us far, I think." Finally comes the touchy subject everyone wants to ask and The Darkness has heard to boredom. Are they being ironical, or being serious ?- "We've never backed down from our ideals just to satisfy anyone else. We're doing our own thing and try to have as much fun as we can with it.
What's wrong with that ?"
Tidbits
Members: Justing Hawkins, Dan Hawkins, Franki Poullain, Ed Graham.
Originates from: The Hawkins brothers grew up in Lowestoft, southeast England.
Background: The band was formed in 1997 by bass player Frankie Poullain and guitarist Dan Hawkins. After looking for a suitable singer, they found one in Dan's brother Justin when he performed Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" at a karaoke bar in their hometown.
Random fact: When "Permission to land" was released in America, the band had to record a version where they censured the cussing. "f***" became "duck", "m*****f*****" became "mama mama", among other things.
Currently: Touring Europe.

I know, I know, I know >___>
...I'm supposed to be resting and not writing in here ^_^;
So.... instead of writing about whatever, I'll let you all ask me random/general questions that I could answer later on.
Like "what color is the sky today ?" or "which OB member did you dream about this time ?" and so on, so forth.
I'll edit as we go along ^_^
Edit: O.o; And here I was, thinking you'd ask easy questions >_>;
This is fun though ^_^ I feel a lot better and tomorrow I'm gonna see The last Samurai again !
Solo's Question
Q: If you could take any number of OB members anywhere, where would you take them and why?
A: Hmm.... I would want to take them to a cottage in the northern parts of Sweden and watch the Northern Ligths.
Basically share a beautiful experience with people that are special to me.
(Not to mention the insane fun we'd have in the snow, or curling up to a blazing fire in the company of good people) ^__^
Boba's Questions
Q: For the record, why don't you engage in political discussion?
A: Difficult to answer in one fail swoop... but I simply have no interest in political things. O.o *swoop*
Q: How'd you find OB?
A: I used to go to theotaku.com for information about anime, years ago. But I never ventured into OB until 6 months ago (give or take a few days/weeks). It was more or less chance that I finally decided to check it out *lol*
Q: Do Swedish people is Swedish Fish (Those red gummy fish)?
A: I'm guessing you're asking if we actually eat them ? They're no novelty here, but I guess people like 'em enough to eat 'em =P
Q: Do you listen to music while posting or surfing MyO or the Boards?
A: I usually don't. My mind is so easily distracted and I tend to concentrate more on the music and the memories/emotions it brings out, than what I'm doing at the moment ^_^;
NightBeck's Question
Q: How did this pants stealing craze come about?
A: It all started when I got my first invitation to an OB chat (which occurred on the 17th of December 2003 - haha, I actually have a date for when it started O.o; ).
Eventually it was just me, Lady Asphy and Desbreko left in the room. She was reading a Harry Potter fanfic, which reminded me of "Lord of the Pants" (someone had parodied Lord of the rings and exchanged most words with "pants") and this is how it went down:
OtakuMimmi: you basically take words out and replace them with "pants".
Lady Asphy: Yeah, lol. I gathered that much.
OtakuMimmi: "I know what you would say. And it would seem like wisdom, but for the warning in my pants."
OtakuMimmi: anyway *drops pants... subject*
Lady Asphy: Lol. Well, I can't drop my pants -- I'm wearing a skirt,
Desbreko145: I can. *does so* ;-)
OtakuMimmi: O.o
Lady Asphy: *ogles*
OtakuMimmi: indeed
Desbreko145: *poses*
OtakuMimmi: *applause*
Desbreko145: *bows*
OtakuMimmi: nice performance. I give it a 10 *nods*
Lady Asphy: I get it a 10.5
Desbreko145: *replaces pants* Shows are every hour, on the hour. ;-)
So basically, every time I met Desbreko after that, he'd drop his pants hourly. At some point I decided to take them, since obviously they didn't stay on him very well ~_^
And that's how it all began – so you see, blaming Des (and James) for everything isn't so wrong after all >__>
Karma's Questions
Q: You have one night of consequence-free sex, but only with one person, and only one time. Who do you have sex with?
A: O.o; Eeerrr... Well... I, uh... USE MY VETO-PASS AND REFUSE TO ANSWER ! *runs for the hills* >___>;
Q: You get to meet any two members from OB that you want. Your pick. Who are they?
A: Only 2 ? .. oh, man.. Ok, I'll pick one guy and one girl.. or two guys.. or two girls.. =\ I honestly can't narrow it down to only 2 ^_^;
But if we're talking 2 from each country... and please, don't anyone feel left out because I don't say your name *begs*
I would obvisouly love to meet you all, but Karma if forcing me to narrow it down here *blames her* >___>;
Australia: James. He's like the goodness of 2 people =P
USA: Azure and PT / Arcadia and Charmi
England: Kenji and Solo
Anatema's Questions
Q: If you could shoot one person, consequence free, who would that be?
A: My oldest sisters husband.
Q: Who, in the right light do you think you resemble?
A: My oldest sister. Heh, I know it's impossible for anyone here to judge that, but know that it's a good thing. I love her to bits ^__^
Arcadia's Questions
Q: If you had the power to create a new holiday, what would it be?
A: Virtue Day. Where everyone who has had the virtue of waiting for something gets credit for it... and maybe get what they waited for ~_^
(And on an even lesser serious note: Travel Day ! Go anywhere in the world, no charge ^__^)
Q: If everybody in the entire world (or maybe just the OB universe) was listening to you, what would you say to them?
A: "I love you." Seriously, I would say that. And if people were actually listening and taking in what I said, then I'd tell them to be strong and take care of themselves. To reach for the stars and be happy if they get a milkyway....
Q: If you could get any sort of body art done on you, pain free, what would it be and where would you put it?
A: Heh.. well, hypothetically... it'd be neat to tattoo/transfer an image of a wing that Azure did. I don't know if I can show it, I'll ask him. And I'd put it on my back, across the shoulder blades probably.
Shin's Questions
Q: Is there an actual limit to the number of pants you will steal?
A: I'm actually pretty close to having the pants I desire. But there's no actual limit, no.
Q: Do you get tired of people asking you questions?
A: Nope ^_^ It helps me practice using my brain, so it's all good ~_^

[Warning - Long Post Entry]
[A piece of advice]
If anyone meets me on AIM right after I've seen a movie I have fallen completely in love with, I advise you to not muck about with me. It is very likely that I will end up hating you.
That's how passionate of a state I am in.
Mr Star Wars got off easy - I just lost my temper/patience/control, signed off and came back when I had cooled down and got some emotions down on the comp.
Just thought I'd mention that... for future reference ~_^
**********
Hm, yeah. Lots of stuff to write about. And if I hold off posting a couple of things, I'm sure more stuff will happen – thereby further prolonging stuff needed to be posted.
So I'll divide everything into sections and you all can decide what you want to read for yourselves.
But before that, I just wanted to point out that my dreams have started to feel oddly real.
Like last night, I dreamt that PT (haha, I'm gonna take my sweet time to use your name for real *grins*) was visiting me and we decided to go for a ride. So out to the driveway we went, where a pickup/truck stood. He had two male friends with him and we quickly figured that we all wouldn't fit, someone had to stay behind.
It ended up being just me and PT going for a spin, and it was a pretty snug fit at that - as I was buckling up, PT being PT went all " Oooo, that feels good *giggling* " when I brushed against his leg ~_^
It was a nice drive. I am usually apprehensive when it's anyone but my dad or sister driving, but I was completely relaxed as we cruised the streets of my town.
Then at some point the dream changed and we were driving his dad and grandma to the hospital *blinks* I decided to leave, since I wasn't family and staying would feel awkward. PT gave me a hug before I took off, and this is what I mean with how my dreams feel so real lately. I could physically feel his arms around me, [insert other description of how a hug feels] just like you do when you're awake, and I can't remember my dreams being at that level of ... yeah. [/End dream] =P
Didn't that just fly off the chart of Intersting ? >_>;
[Article Translation]
"Aims for Physical and mental strength"
"When Johnny Edwinsson first tried out Hai dong gumdo three years ago, he was clueless about it. Now he lives for this Korean martial sport/art. This summer he'll be competing in the World Championships.
Haid dong gumdo is a Oriental martial sport/art that has been introduced to Europe in recent years. Johnny is the only one in his town to practice it. Though, he would rather call it martial art than martial sport.
- Hai dong gumdo is a physical, mental and spiritual road. A lifestyle. It's not about fighting, but to be in control of your life.
That's why it's just as much about meditation, as it is body movement.
But perhaps it is best to delve into the historical facts first.
Hai dong gumdo is a martial art with strong links to the mighty monarchy of Kokuryu. Focus was on the sword, which was to be used to fight evil and uphold justice. The warriors who attended the school of Hai dong gumdo were called Samurais. The techniques taught were used in the army, up until the 1500's when more modern weapons took over.
- But the martial arts did not vanish completely. It lived on in people's hearts, Johnny explains.
In modern times the old martial arts are once again flourishing in Korea. Now Hai dong gumdo is spread all across the globe, even though the number of followers in Europe is relatively low.
- It's different from Japanese Kendo, in that the techniques are based on battle against many opponents at once. In Kendo it's one on one.
The practice sword has no sharp edge – but there is a sharp sword. It is used for blows on bamboo sticks, apples thrown into the air or other objects.
Since there are no other Hai dong gumdos apprentices in [town], Johnny has to commute to a town 2 hours away. There he is trained by his master, Korean Simon Lim. He started out at the age of 4 – he is now 43...
The techniques Johnny is taught can be implemented as self-defence in real life, but without the swords, of course. But Johnny stresses that "you don't learn Hai dong gumdo to go on a rampage downtown".
- I can defend myself, but I don't have to draw blood with my punches. It's all about control. One delicate move and they'll be flying into the wall. But it's never happened that I've been bothered by anyone.
Johnny further shares how this martial art has changed him as a person.
- Before I started I was pretty shy and timid. But now I have more inner strength and more confidence. I used to not be able to go up to a girl and say "hello" even. My self esteem has improved a lot, by simply meditating and training.
He works as a "meat carver" at the local Swedish Meats factory. When he needs energy he can, without interrupting his tasks, gather his "ki hap" as it is called. It has a lot to do with controlling your breathing.
Johnny participated in a Hai dong gumdo exhibition in Hannover a while back. There he was awarded a medal for reaching the 1st Masters Level, which is called "The first day".
On the 20th of March he is travelling to Paris to partake in a grand showcase and come July he will compete in the World Championships in Korea.
- It's my first real tournament. It will be difficult to compete against the Koreans, because they have everything within themselves.
If all goes well in Korea, he hopes that doors open for him and opportunities arise that will enable a whole new future for him. As a fulltime instructor.
- If I make it big, start my own place and all goes well, I could get work abroad. And travel all over the world. That would be wonderful, to be able to make a living of what I love."
This was a really difficult article to translate, which I am sure can be noticed. I have no idea what other expressions there are to "martial arts", that the guy referred to when explaining that it was an "art", not a "sport" ^__^; If anyone would care to enlighten me to what other title than "martial art" there is, please go ahead and do so O.o;
[Photographs]
All the photos have been saved as png. So if anyone can't see them and is somewhat interested in seeing them, let me know and I'll work something out. I put them all on Angelfire to avoid slowing things down for those with bad internet connections. And they're basically just thrown up, since I have no patience to make things neat >_>;
[Tour Away]
1. It doesn't show up very well, but there are trees all along this [stretchy] road and it looks sooo stunning in the summer, when everything's in bloom ^_^
2. The cinema. Yeah, we got one. It's a rather good cinema, big screen and somewhat comfy chairs. Spoilt I am ~_^ (this is where I spent yesterday *grins profusely*)
3. Railroad tracks. That's the platform where you get on/off trains. On the left to this picture is where the buses stop, which you can't see but that doesn't stop me from pointing it out =P
4. Playground. I think they exchanged the roundabout at some point, it used to be huge. But I was mainly going for the sun peering from behind the tree.
5. I've developed a strong liking to trees and clouds. Now that they're stripped of leaves, they make for characteristic objects.
6. This one looks a bit like "M likes to swing" that I posted a while back *lol*
7. Two swings, whee ! >_>
8. Kenji called this a "Quater Pipe", I call it a skating ramp ;p It's right next to the [youth] recreation centre and I used to hang around it a lot when I was 13-15. Never skated on it though ^_^;
9. Se upp för tåg = Watch out for train.
10. This one's for Molly ^__^ That’s what the buses look like, some are rather enjoyable to ride, others aren't. The uncomfortable ones are the same that give the school kids their ride to/from school ~_^
11. Doesn't it look like they're ready to charge, or something ? *LOL* These are the buses that would take us on school trips and the like. Memories ^__^
12. This one goes out to Shin - It might be difficult to tell, but this is the tennis court. It's right between the playground and the town park. Come spring/summer I'll be able to take more lush pictures, just you wait and see ~_^
13. This playground was right next to the railroad tracks O.o; I hadn't seen it up until that day actually....
14. Grafitti man... on an old platform.
15. Just your general panorama view, on what lies beyond my town. Fields, farmlands, vast space O.o;
16. This is my favourite picture of all the ones I took. It looks like pebbles on a beach, but it's actually pebbles in snow ! =P
[London]
My sister is going to London in March to visit an old friend and her newly founded family (boyfriend + baby). This sparked the idea that she and I (and maybe our younger sister) go to London in the near future. Which means I get to have London pizza slices again !!! *happy dance*
You can get there cheap enough, we just need to figure out how long we'll stay and where *lol*
[The last Samurai, written last night]
"They are Perfect"
I am unable to speak. My thoughts are so crystal clear that I believe not to think at all. I am at one with my spirit, beating profusely with energy that is dying to live. I am in uproar with the incapacity to share what I refuse to separate from me.
I am one mind.
[There you have my initial attempt to write down something, right after seeing the movie. Here comes something that I managed to pull together a couple of minutes later....]
I had pretty moderate/high hopes for this movie. Tom Cruise's participation made me weary for some reason. Though I think I would've been wary with any American/English actor.
But he delivered. He took what he had and he delivered it. And he worked well with the rest of the cast.
The cast.... There is only one word for them: Samurai
There, one word. The whole of known language in one word. That is all – and everything.
So much theme, thought and feel was encapsulated into this movie. At times it felt like my spirit/soul/whathaveyou left my body and I was at one with the movie. I simply was. Right there and then. Even now, as I type. I am.
Yes, there were moments that were very "American", but I can forgive that. I can focus on what mattered, what was meant, everything else. Though I stumble on myself when trying to voice it. Which signals magnificence, worth and much more.
I am, to no one's surprise, a very emotion/thought-based person. This movie elated me beyond what I believed to be capable of sensing. There was so much thrown in your face, then something quietly appearing in the palm of your hand, which was soon replaced by a pull of a force that demanded you and all of you.
Undoubtedly I make no sense as of now. I need more, much more.
[/End]
**********
I will most likely see it again this weekend and I was enthusiastic enough about it to make the younger sister want to tag along ~_^
There'll probably be even more talk about it then and a general repetition of stuff ~_^
I am now not going to bother to check this post for grammatical errors and typos, I still have all you peoples MyO's to go through… not to mention getting acquainted with OB ^___^
Take Care Everyone !

Star Wars Agrr Daay !!!
So much to write about, but I don't know where to start.
This is what I get for secretly wishing that stuff would happen to me XD
I had an amazing time on AIM last night/this morning.
Got to talk to Boba and teach him all he needed to know about Swedish ;)
And I'm finally getting to catch up on Mein Liebling !! The crown awaits your arrival ~_^
Kenji was in a rather good mood, it's always good to talk to him ^_^
Mitch teased me with his presence, reminding me that I still crave the Mitchness =P
Molly, poor thing, had a dentists appointment. Which reminds me that I need to check up on my teeth soon O.o
*menacingly swings her black suitcase* You know where to find me, Molly ~_^
I know there are a few peple out there who are into martial arts/swords...
And I found this article that I'll translate today/tomorrow. That's what you get for praising my [non]skills ~_^
Speaking of which, Solo posted a link to the greatest site. Go to Solo's site and find it ~_^
I shall devote an entire post to what that site gave me ^___^
Movie !!
Yup, tonight at 19.30 I am going to see "The last Samurai" !!! I am sooo psyched about that ^___^
In closing
Thanks for all the wonderful (and funny) comments !
Take Care Everyone ~_^
Remember that People and Objects are only as much fun as you make of them ^_^

First off, a little something for Boba:
"Always something there to remind me"
"While the rest of the world is speculating in whether or not John Kerry has cheated on his wealthy wife or not, I wonder why no one has noticed that the man challenging Bush wears a ridiculous resemblance to the composing genius that is Burch Bacharach.
The look-a-like-revelation is even more interesting when you realise that probably no one would have been surprised if it really was original-Burt campaigning.
If Arnold Schwarzenegger could become governor, Clint Eastwood mayor, Sonny Bono a congressman and Ronald Reagan president – then why shouldn't a man who's been awarded with the Polar prize, endeared the masses with his chart topping songs and has a photogenic smile, run for presidency ?
Thanks to lyricist Hal David, Bacharach already has several well established and steely sharp slogans.
While Arnold and Clint have taken the route of macho grunting "Hasta la vista, baby !" and "Go ahead punk, make my day !"; and John Kerry is campaigning with the pompous "The courage to do what's right for America"; Burt would be able to plea to a war sick world with "What the world needs now is love", discuss the infrastructure with "Trains and boats and planes", suck up to the Christian groups with "I say a little prayer" and show that he's in touch with his voters with a sweet "Close to you".
If he does a slight modification to his songs, he could also comment on an eventual election defeat with the nonchalant "A White House is not a home".
It probably wouldn't even be in his disadvantage that nearly everyone associates him with the slightly embarrassing and ignorant "Do you know the way to San José ?".
Lacking in the field of geography has up till this day never stopped anyone from becoming President of the Unites States of America."
Sorry for my sloppy translation ^_^; But I think the overall message got through, right ? I also hope that this makes up for depriving you of your pants ~_^
My hand feels a lot better today, thanks to everyone for kissing/whishing is better ^__^
(Arcadia is pure magic people ~_^ )
It's a lot easier tapping away on the keyboard when you've got both hands fully functioning.
So hopefully I won't be having any more accidents, or more inflamed fingers *rolls eyes and looks at hands warily*
What else...
I picked up my newly developed (heh) photos and had a quick look-through. I might be able to find something to post here, I'll have to mess about with it in PhotoStudio first though. They're obviously not very good, seen from a professional point of view – but I had fun running around with the camera ^__^
I think that's it for today. Or at least for now ^_^;
Take Care Everyone !

Kiss it better = \
Haha, I actually cleaned my room O.o;
I'll spare you the details as to how many times I had to change water as I dusted the place down >_>; Let's just say it was about time something happened in here =P
Fixed up my bed with fresh sheets etc, hoovered (I so find that word funny) and cleared up the desk from a lot of junk. So now it's quite liberating to sit here, it's actually possible to see all of the floor (now without the dusty rats) and furniture can be used (they were recently drowning in stacks of clean clothes).
After this rather draining exercise, I tackled dinner. Which I'm glad I did, and not glad I did ^_^;
You see, the plan was to make lasagna. And of course I had completely forgotten how to do it (I'm not even sure I had made it by myself up until today), my sister felt too poorly to help me and I was rather drained of energy.
But I decided to improvise most of it and apart from the fact that I burned my hand, it turned out alright.
Funny how I can pull off cooking dinners that I won't even taste myself =P
Bah, I am now off to AIM. See you there, I guess ^__^
