Five hundred miles away from home
Today I went to IKEA with my parents and younger sister. Well guess what happened ? I met someone there, the cutest guy ever and we hit it off instantly. There was lots of cuddling, almost to the point where people felt embarrassed to look at us, haha. I introduced him to my sister and she agreed that he was wonderful. I took a picture of him with my cellphone, so I could show you guys what he looks like. Isn't he the sweetest thing you ever saw ?
But even if you count him out, the day was really fun and I owe that to my sister ^__^
She ran around with me and put up with my antics, such as when I used the loading carriage as a scooter and as soon as we came upon an empty aisle, I zoomed back and forth. Mind you, I did that regardless of if it was empty or not >_>; And when I didn't push the carriage or scoot around on it, I danced through the aisles, gracefully (*cough*) avoiding the bypassers. Much to my sisters amusement :p
Together we proved that the stuffed animals were not reserved for kids and played around with them, accidentally knocking down a couple on kids standing next to us. That moment was used to our advantage and it was claimed that the stuffed animals were actually alive and randomly attacking innocent children… so I have no idea why I wasn't brutally butchered 0:)
We met up with our parents in the cafeteria/restaurant and it was packed. Unfortunately it had also been refurbished and I swear they had cut down the number of seats by half. Summer in full speed and less seating = impossible search for seats, especially if you're a group of 4. A big chunk of the floor space had been (unexplainably) cut off, because apparently they're constructing a new (or adding, I'm not sure) restaurant. While mom and dad stood in the queue, my sister and I scouted and stalked tables, but realised that there was no chance that we could all sit together. My mom also informed me that pancakes were not available. IKEA's supposedly renowned (in Sweden) for their meatballs, but I know that the ones waiting in the fridge at home was a thousand times better, so I opted to go without lunch.
After that we picked up our things and added some more things before heading for the check out. It went amazingly speedy, which is rare even on an average day. Once everything was loaded into the car, my sister sat down on the carriage and I raced her around on the parking lot :D Too bad it couldn't fit in the car >__>;;;
Once we got home, it was assembly time ! With a little help from my sister and dad, everything was put together with little hassle and in a jiffy. So after running around on IKEA, pushing my sister on that carriage, the long car ride and assembling all the stuff, I'm not going to start on any exercise programs until next week.... Oh, today's Sunday ? Gah ;__;
Shopping bag content:
A chair
A footstool
A nice standard lamp (this is what the shade looks like, it was sold separately from the stand… thingy)
Clothes hangers (they seem to disappear in my house… like so many other things)
and last but not least, I found this really cool picture holder. It's impossible to describe it and there were no pictures of it on their website, so I took a picture of it :p
*cuddles her new friend*
If anyone has a suggestion on a name to my new friend, let me know !
