I just played Word Racer with a pro gamer. My head is still spinning @_@
Will post when brain dares to work again.
Yes dear people. Here I am, more able to talk about today! And what a busy day it's been. At least where internet is concerned, haha. Real life = slow.
Lots of people have been really nice and played Literati with me these past couple of days - Shy beat me without mercy, John graciously played several games, Japan finally got Yahoo Games to work and at long last I got to play with Kei!
Honrary mention goes to Tony and Joko for tagging along ^_^
The lucky break to play someone I've had my eyes on for a while also came today. Said person was kind enough to accept, even extending an invite to play a game called Word Racer (likewise over at Yahoo Games) afterwards. Not being one to bail out on word games courtesy, I happily accepted. Totally oblivious as to what I was getting into, mind you!
Luckily for me he was nice and explained how to play it - even giving me a head start. Boy did I need it! Once he got started I was left in the dust. Or rather buried 6 feet under ;p
It is now firmly established that speed games aren't my scene. At all. Mad respect to Mr Pro, though. I had fun!
Commentary comments:
Slick: My mom introduced me to her a couple of months back. All it took for me to get hooked was hearing her sing the first line in that song. So beautiful. It sure is a shame she'll no more grace us with more of her voice.
Sabagi: Castles are totally spiffy, especially for hide-and-seek! Though I'd be too intimidated to live in one, permanently ^^;
Samie: You were right, I got to play plenty! And my weekend was up/down. I hope you had a good one ^^
Schultz: Yeaaaaaah, "Extreme Makeover - Home Edition" ate my soul, as you already know >.>;
Twilight Willow: I did, thanks! :D
Azure: I would love to play with you :)
And you're absolutely right in what you're saying. Haha, I recall you telling me this way back when I had a similar episode and made the bad choice of not playing my best. Haven't done that since, though.
FLAME GAME ON!
Molly: We will play. Oh yes, we will. And it will be glorious ~_^
Shimmy-Loo: Well, you're excused because you have a valid reason :p It'd still be great to catch up on a game or more when you have the chance!
