Day 1 - part I
My trip towards London started at 4 o'clock, Saturday morning. I wasn't supposed to get up until 5 and tried to get back to sleep. To no avail, haha. So after 'updating' this place with the vague post, at least it would come off that to those who had no idea ... hmm, I wonder how many was actually surprised/had no clue what was going on... Show of hands ? :p

Anyway, onwards with the telling of the trip.

Most of the stuff had been packed the day before, but there's always the last minute things that need to be thrown in (toothbrush etc). Since I had gotten up 1 hour earlier than planned there was no need to stress around, and everything was ready well before we (dad and I) headed out at 6.30.

The drive down was nice, especially since dad didn't turn on the radio until we were fairly close to Gothenburg and the radio station played ballads. Traffic was good too, so we arrived in time for the bus that would take me to the airport. Then it was just a case of waiting for the plane, which was boring and made me aware of how tired I actually was.

The flight over to London went pretty fast and we got there 20 minutes ahead of schedule, though my watch was still running on Sweden time so I thought my carefully planned schedule of meeting up with Solo would be completely ruined and force him to wait a very long time for me. Luckily that wasn't the case. But it took a while for my suitcase to show up and that time put me right on track again, timewise. (*feels proud that for once she estimated the time right* Heh.)

The trainride in to London was nothing out of the ordinary, just a few text messages back and forth with Solo whose train had been cancelled and so he had to find an alternative route. We joked about who'd get there first and it turned out to be me :p

By the time we found each other (silly me wasn't clear enough about where I was standing and I had to shift a couple of times due to smoking people *grumbles*) I was a bit out of it and semi-collapsed in his arms. A repetition of the last time, in other words, lol. Ah well.

We dumped off my evil suitcase at a luggage storage place and headed off to The Globe. Cue first batch of pictures that are nowhere near as good as Juuthenas !

WARNING !

These pictures are very big and might take some time to upload.

The Globe tour didn't start until 5 pm and we had some time to kill, so we strolled down the Thames and came upon a couple of ships. This is a replica of a ship called "The Golden Hind". And that's pretty much all I can say about it XD

There's the famous London Bridge and another ship. I know the Royal Family has something to do with a warship, but whether or not this is the one and what it's called ... beats me >>;;

Here we have Tower Bridge and a strange ... sculpture ? It didn't have a plaque or anything, so we don't know what that was about. A stonesthrow away were two other black 'spheres', circular in shape. Alien invasion, anyone ? :p

Making our way back to The Globe, I spotted this amazing alley. And that fountain looked funky so we walked 'in'. A man tried to take a picture of his wife and kid, but the kid wasn't being very cooperative, haha. It looked funny and I couldn't resist snapping their picture, blurry as it came out.

Next time we take a tour of The Globe and dedicate that post to Arcadia !
