Burn baby, burn
Aaaah, Literati Square continues to blossom. Waffle w/ dollop of Lust cheered us all up with her word (ethereal) and Bachelor #2 unknowingly donated a word of his own.
Shinny pointed out the fact that I had no nick/petname for myself and so the floor is open to suggestions. But 'Cheapness' won't work, because that would be ... too ... obvious. Use your imaginations, people!
Now, for those who are new to this place or just unfamiliar with my silly nature, an explanation of Literati Square is in order *clears throat and shoves Shin on the stage to help her with visuals*
It all started when Proclaimed Writer Shin told everyone about a game he had been introduced by from Sennentially Sen. The game in question was Literati and resided in the Yahoo's Games section. Apparently it was an online version of Scrabble, a game which I (and others with me) happen to be very fond of.
Naturally I asked (read begged) to be initiated and were thusly embraced in a highly addictive circle of Literati Lovers.
The idea of doing something interactive with this place came to mind, seeing how everyone was posting lyrics and asking their visitors to identify said words. So I threw the idea out here and asked people who were interested in joining to sign up in the comment box of said post.
Then I wrote down all the names on small pieces of paper, forced my dad (who was more than perplexed about the strange names but played it cool and didn't ask) to draw one at a time and I proceeded to write down the names in the order they were drawn.
After that I asked the first person on the list to give me a word and a color to write it in. When it had been given to me, I created a blank Square and inserted the word, uploaded it and displayed it in my Quiz section further down this page. The next person was asked to do the same, only they had to make sure it connected with the first word. And so on, so forth.
So far there hasn't been any rules that I've had to inforce, nor have I had to turn any words down (phew). The only thing you need to think about when joining in Literati Square Madness is that you make sure to say what color and place you want me to give your word. But the most important thing to remember is:
The word has to connect to what is already out on the Square
*visual pointer*
Look at the word 'prohibited' and you will see that the way it matches up to 'virtuesque', there are no real words created where they meet. 'Iv' 'tt' etc aren't real words. So that's the only thing to look out for. Wherever words meet, real words will have to be made. Or at least funny enough to convince me to go for it ;p
Hopefully that clears it up for everyone and if anyone wants to join, please say so now or we start over from the beginning ^___^
Hehe, I got my mom to watch 'Memento' again with me yesterday (even put a seed into my dad about how he should see it *grins*). She liked it and we ended up talking about it afterwards. Psychology, and the human body in general, is something that is a mutual interest for us. For those who haven't seen it, don't worry, I'm not gonna demand you to see it ~_^ It took me until a couple of months ago to see 'Labyrinth' so the phenomena of not having seen an awesome movie isn't unfamiliar to me, hehe.
And yes, the magnificant intellectual aspects put aside, Guy Pearce makes it that much more enjoyable *winks* Oooo, a special edition of it would fit nicely in my DVD collection. Must make room for it ~_^
Hmm, that's it for now. Well, there's stuff to take care of *shifty* Hopefully this time it won't take as long as the last one took *grumbles* Oh, and there was that thing I wanted to try out *notes*
.... Oh. Yeah, I'm done ^_^; *waves*
