Bastard
Sometimes I just get so sick of my dad. Honestly, he loves to show off what he knows but he really can't get it into that 'brain' of his that some things won't work and isn't appreciated. Why is that?

For instance. None of the girls in the family are particularly fond of math. So he should know that if he asks us to solve a math problem during DINNER that it's not gonna go down well, right? Wrong. And even though we politely tell him to back down/off, he doesn't. During the same dinner anyone can try to lead the conversation towards something that more than he can relate to. What does he do? He either tries to revert the attention to himself or acts disrespectful. We're expected to put up with whatever he throws out when he totally blows us off if something doesn't interest him? Bastard.

After dinner I tried this word knowledge test and then gave it to mom, went out into the kitchen to talk quietly with dad about the two that had the wrong results and he loudly talks about another result to a word. I remind him that mom is trying to figure the test out on his own and he should show consideration. To which he responds something like 'Well, I guess I'm not very considerate then. But I'm great at doing the dishes' with sarcasm dripping all over the words.

That's the one issue that stands out most with dad. The dishes. He claims to love doing them and still he complains about 'being stuck with it all the time' and it drives me nuts how he behaves sometimes *gestures angrily* I mean, the bastard will go on incessantly about us not putting our dirty dishes into the dish washer immediately and he'll leave his coffe cups on the table in the mornings. Then he gets cross when we point out he does the same thing? It's just.... Bah!

.... That was a wonderful excuse to use the word 'bastard' a couple of times *cough* Bleh, I could go on for hours about the things about dad that irks me *makes face and moves on*

.... Now what? lol

Oh yeah, I watched "Equilibrium" with my sister and my mom!!!! That came as a total surprise, haha. I let her read on the back of the DVD case and she said it'd be interesting to watch. Apparently the story appealed to her (as it did with Memento) and even though she wasn't too keen on the violence, she did like the movie as a whole. The three of us sat a while after it had finished and discussed various points it made. Nicely nice .... and there was Christian Bale :p

Next up was supposed to be "Sinbad" but the DVD was scratched so we had to scrap that and go straight for "Goldmember". It had some seriously funny moments but as a whole... I dunno, it was a bit weak >> That's my opinion though, so anyone else might totally love/hate it. It did get me giggling and laughing enough for it to be worth the rental, hehe.

Mmmm, now I'm just sitting here and typing this up - listening to Darren Hayes. And I realise I've been harping on about him a lot lately *zips her lips and moves on*

Uhm, that leaves me with nothing.... that I can remember. Anyone? Bueller?
