I want to be in Arcadia's contest so badly that I wrote a poem on a bus today >___>
Amazing how incredibly poetic a bus ride can make you ~_^

Let it be known that I'm not out to win the thing, I just want to be a part of it and have fun.
Which I'm sure will extend to all those who read it *cough*

It needs to be written down on my computer first, be edited and blah blah blah blah blah…. But I'm sure it'll end up here/OB sooner or later ^_^

I bought a cd with Erasure today: " I say I say I say "
And there's actually a story behind this particular cd ~_^

*puts on storyteller hat*
" A couple of years back, my two older sisters bought this cd together.
One sister took it home with her and the other wondered where it went

Then this little sister *points to herself* decided she wanted the cd aswell.
So she bought it and introduced it to her other cd's.

But the friendship did not last long, for one of the sisters (the one who did not have the cd) came home and believed the cd to be hers.
And it came to be that the sister took the cd and claimed it as her own.

Thus the two older sisters had a copy each and this one did not.
Until this day, at least, it was so. "
*cuts story short*
Yeah, it was really cheap and I bought it for sentimental reasons >___>

Haha, although I remember really liking it. It'll be interesting to see what I think of it now ^_^

Those lines are from a song I am absolutely in love with at the moment:
"Hier bist du nicht allein" by Zeichen der Zeit (sign of the times).

It's a collaboration between German artists and the man who sings the chorus has the most wonderful voice I've ever heard.

( His name is Xavier Naidoo.
For years I've wanted to buy a record of his, but since I've not had VISA or contacts with anyone who could help me out - I've been left without. )

So when this song came on and the chorus came on – I swear I died.
Luckily, I've discovered the wonders of the internet, so I should be able to enjoy more of his voice in the future >___>

It's sung in German - though there are one or two verses that are sung in English and a rap in between, but I've chosen to ignore those >___> - and I decided to post it here.

I'll not rant about what it makes me feel and think, cause it's not translate-able.
So if you understand German and have the ability to download this song, I strongly encourage it !

Another funny thing that was shown to me by my little sister – I tell ya, she finds the weirdest/funny things ~_^
It's copied straight from a website, so don't tell me about grammar and all that >___>

The European Commission has, according to the CIA made a secret agreement whereby English will be the official language of the EU rather than German, which was the other possibility. As part of the negotiations, Her Majesty's Government conceded that English spelling had some room for improvement and has accepted a 5 year phase-in plan that would be known as "Euro-English".

In the first year, "s" will replace the soft "c". Sertainly, this will make the sivil servants jump with joy. The hard "c" will be dropped in favour of the "k". This should klear up konfusion and keyboards kan have one less letter.

There will be growing publik enthusiasm in the sekond year when the troublesome "ph" will be replaced with the "f". This will make words like fotograf 20% shorter.

In the 3rd year, publik akseptanse of the new spelling kan be expekted to reach the stage where more komplikated changes are possible. Government will enkorage the removal of the double leters which have always ben a deterent to akurate speling. Also al wil agre that the horible mes of the silent "e" in the languag is disgrasful and should go away.

By the 4th yer peopl wil be reseptiv to steps such as replasing "th" with "z" and "w" wiz "v".

During ze fifz yer ze unesesary "o" kan be dropd from vords kontaining "ou" and similar changes vud of kors be aplid to ozer kombinations of leters.

After zis fifz yer ve vil hav a rali sebsibl riten styl. Zer vil be no mor truble or difikultis and evrivun vil find it esi to understand echozer.
