"Looks like Box had fun last night."

Mmmhhmmm, Box had a lot of fun last night ^_____^

**********

Lea was in a car accident yesterday, but from what I gathered when I spoke to her earlier today, she was alive.
She got a concussion – but she is alive.

Get better Angel !

[Playful Sarcasm]

I hate PT.

He has signed my Guestbook, written an intelligent post in my thread at OB, spoken to me on aim and now.... he has posted a soundfile on his MyO, with the cutest giggle in the world on it.

[insert muffled, desperate scream]

I will make him pay for this – count on that ~_^

[Found an interesting article in the paper today, so I tried to translate it. Enjoy ^_^]

"Trendsetting psychopath scene"

It's become one of the most copied scene in movie history. An armed Robert de Niro, as the character Travis Bickle, looking at himself in the mirror and suddenly becoming disturbingly playful.

" You talking to me ? You talking to me ? Then who the hell else are you talking to ? You talking to me ? Well I'm the only one here? "

Not only have those exact phrases and the staring at the mirror been stolen since the movie premiered 1976 (lasts I saw it was in Patrice Leconts movie "Man on the train"), but the psychotic playfulness has also had its followers.
Just look at the psychopath Mr Blonde in Quentin Tarrantinos debut movie "Reservoir Dogs", who maliciously dances in front of his victim.

In a decently written new biography about Robert de Niro, written by author John Baxter, it is said that the scene was entirely improvised.
Scriptwriter Paul Shrader, who got inspiration to the script from his own vagabond life, had only written "Travis speaks to himself in the mirror".
There a difference in opinion in where the lines came from, some claim that de Niro got it from a comedian, while Baxter says that it was the improvisation classes with the legendary American drama coach Stella Adler that sprung into De Niros head during shooting the scene.

Either way, the scene is in many ways more frightening than the approaching bloodbaths.

War veteran Travis Bickle has decided to clear the streets from the trash he sees from his taxi at nights. This was triggered by his encounter with 2 women; Betsy, who works for a Presidential Candidate and Iris, a child prostitute in the hands of her pimp.
Travis takes Betsy to a porncinema (where the Swedish classic "The language of love" is shown), which frightens her.
After the miserably failed date, there is nothing left but revenge for the lonely Travis, who sums up his frame of mind like this:

" Loneliness has followed me my whole life, everywhere. In bars, in cars, sidewalks, stores, everywhere. There's no escape, I'm God's lonely man. "

Today Martin Scorsese's dark vision of a land in the aftermath of the Vietnam War, is re-released in the cinemas.

I apologise if I got anything wrong, I've not seen this movie myself... yet ~_^

Take Care Everyone !

Remember that Objects and People are only as much fun as you make of them ^_^
